This document analyzes a new minimum hop source routing algorithm designed for two-dimensional torus network-on-chip (NoC) architecture, focusing on improving communication efficiency under CBR traffic. It discusses the significance of various routing algorithms, their adaptations, and the evaluation of performance metrics such as latency and throughput. The findings indicate that the proposed algorithm minimizes packet loss and is effective for 3x3 torus networks, with potential for further research on larger network sizes.
