1) The document discusses fluid couplings and torque converters used to transmit power between shafts without a rigid connection.
2) A fluid coupling uses an impeller and turbine runner enclosed in a casing filled with fluid. Torque is transmitted from the impeller to the turbine via centrifugal force on the fluid.
3) A torque converter is similar but can vary the output torque through a reaction vanes between the impeller and turbine. This allows torque and speed transformation between input and output shafts.
PPT describes the engine performance parameters of the I.C. engine.
Engine performance is an indication of the degree of success of the engine performs its assigned task, i.e. the conversion of the chemical energy contained in the fuel into the useful mechanical work. The engine performance is indicated by the term efficiency, η. Five important engine efficiencies and other related engine performance parameters are:
Power
Indicated Thermal Efficiency (ηith)
Brake Thermal Efficiency (ηbth)
Mechanical Efficiency (ηm)
Volumetric Efficiency (ηv)
Relative Efficiency or Efficiency Ratio (ηrel)
Mean Effective Pressure (Pm)
Specific Fuel Consumption (sfc)
Fuel-Air or Air-Fuel Ratio (F/A or A/F)
Calorific Value (CV)
Power:-
The main purpose of running an engine is to obtain mechanical power.
Brake Power (B.P.)
The power developed by an Engine at the output shaft is called the brake power.
Brake Power= Brake Workdone/Time
B.P.=BWD/sec.
Indicated power (I.P.)
The total power developed by Combustion of fuel in the combustion chamber is called indicated power.
Indicated Power= Indicated Workdone/Time
I.P.=IWD/sec.
Frictional Power (F.P.)
The difference between I.P. and B.P. is called frictional power (f.p.).
FP = IP – BP
Thermal Efficiency (ηth)
Thermal efficiency is the ratio of Power to energy supplied by the fuel.
ηth= Power/ Energy
In I.C. Engine, thermal efficiency can be classified into two categories i.e.
Indicated Thermal Efficiency (ηith)
Indicated thermal efficiency is the ratio of indicated power to the heat supplied or added.
ηith= IP/Qs
2. Brake Thermal Efficiency (ηith)
Brake Thermal Efficiency is the ratio of brake power to the heat supplied or added.
ηbth= BP/Qs
Volumetric Efficiency (ηv)
This is one of the most important parameters which decide the performance of four-stroke engines. Four stoke engines have distinct suction stoke, volumetric efficiency indicates the breathing ability of the engine.
Volumetric efficiency is defined as the ratio of actual flow rate of air into the intake system to rate at which the volume is displaced by the system.

Enhancing the Efficiency of a Torque Converter Clutch (TCC)Sharon Lin
Using a computational simulation, we can create analytical data based on the inputs given by a commercially available vehicle, determining the overall efficiency of different models of engines without needing any physical models.
Its the technological advancement in the field of one of the automobile accessories i.e. Head Light. By this system we can rotate the headlights of automobile vehicle on curved roads so that driver can easily see the curved road..:)

RMD24 | Debunking the non-endemic revenue myth Marvin Vacquier Droop | First ...BBPMedia1

As an Army veteran dedicated to lifelong learning, I bring a disciplined, strategic mindset to my pursuits. I am constantly expanding my knowledge to innovate and lead effectively. My journey is driven by a commitment to excellence, and to make a meaningful impact in the world.
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

2. FLUID COUPLING :
FUNCTION :
To transmit power from one shaft to
another, magnitudes of input and output torques are
equal.
Construction and Working :
It is consists of two shafts driving and
driven shaft which are enclosed in a single housing
without any rigid or mechanically connection
between them; contact is only through a working
fluid contained in the casing.
3. The working oil serves to transmit torque from the
pump impeller to the turbine runner. When air
From the pump impeller exerts torque sufficient
enough to overcome the inertia of turbine blades, it
also begins to run.
Operation :
When the pump impeller starts
rotating, the oil in the coupling thrown outward by
centrifugal action. The oil then enters in the turbine
and exerts a force on the runner. Magnitude of the
increases with an increase in the speed of the
4. driving shaft and eventually when this torque
overcomes in the inertia effects, the turbine runner
and the driven shaft begin to rotate. The oil thus
gains energy from the impeller and delivers it to the
runner. Further the oil circulates in the closed path;
overflow of pump comprises the inflow to turbine
and discharge from the turbine is fed back at the
suction of the pump.

7. TORQUE CONVERTER :
Function :
To transmit increased or decreased
power from one shaft to another. A variable torque
is impressed on the driven Member without the
use of gear train or clutch.
8. Construction and Working :
A torque converter comprises :
1. Pump impeller coupled to the driving shaft ,
2. Turbine runner coupled to the driven shaft , and
3. Reaction member or fixed guide vane arranged
between the pump impeller and the turbine
runner.
9.
10. Liquid flowing from pump impeller to turbine runner
exerts a torque on the stationary vanes. These vanes
change the direction of liquid ,Thereby making possible
a torque and speed transformation. The torque
relationship is prescribed by :
To = Ti + Tv
Where Tv is the torque of guide vanes. Then
power input = Wi * Ti
power output = Wo * To = Wo (Ti + To)
