2. What makes a GOOD music Video?
• Has to have a strong video concept, for example no misleading or disconnected storylines.
• Has to be Creative, for example if it is a love song it should not be a generic love song story no body likes to see repeated
concepts.
• Good Actors make a music video good because they make the video more believable due to their acting skills. If you got
people who aren't very good at acting, the music video wont have the same effect as a vide with good actors.
• Camera work is an important part of making a good music video because if your camera work is very shaky it will make the
music video very off putting to watch because your focus will be on the shaky camera rather than the actual video
• The whole music video should fit in with the demographical audience of the artist so not to explicit things for younger
audiences or not to boring things for older audiences, there has to be a balance.
3. What makes a BAD music video?
• A lack of Camera shots make a music video bad because if you don’t have variety the music video will become boring
quickly Due to the same sots repeating themselves.
• Another aspect of a music video being bad is level of challenge during the editing. For example if your song is a very fast
song with a high bpm, you should be matching the cuts and transitions with that bpm or similar if you mismatch slow cuts
with a fast bpm the music video will not look good at all.
• Furthermore, the setting of where you film has a big part in whether your music vid looks good or not because if your
music video has a happy feel behind it and you film in a dull place the music video ill be questioned. Film in a place that
gives off a good vibe
• Song choice can make or beak a music video because if you choose a song that you don’t like, the effort you put into the
music video will portray in how well the video turns out , like the acting is a big give away if it is a good song choice or
not.
• Make sure you know the words of the song your signing to because it will look very obvious if you don’t know the words and
it will make your music video look amateur.
