Agricultural production based on availability of water. Due to high industrialization and deforestation rain rate is decreasing in Indian subcontinent which results in frequent droughts. Due to drought there is sudden reduction in agricultural production and also increased pressure on ground water. Shortness of water is coped by ground water. Every ones thirst of water results in undeclared competition eventually water level below ground falls down. Water harvesting means saving & storing every drop of water is the only solution to frequent drought & maintaining ground water level.
Najafgarh Jheel & Najafgarh drain is historical water body existing since the times of the Mughals on the south-west periphery of Delhi City (India)Najfafgarh lake, Najafgarh marsh or Najafgarh jheel (Jheel in Hindi means a lake) used to be a vast lake in the South West of Delhi in India near the town of Najafgarh from which it takes its name, it was connected to the river Yamuna by a natural shallow nullah or drain called the Najafgarh nullah.
However after the 1960s the Flood Control Department of Delhi kept widening the Najfagarh drain and eventually quickly drained the once huge and ecologically rich Najafgarh lake completely.It was also a major source of ground water recharge for entire Delhi.
Over the period of time and due to urbanization, this revulate got converted into a drain due to constant release of untreated waste from the surrounding areas and the industries.
The draining of this vast lake affected the entire climate of this important region that is India’s capital territory of Delhi and its neighborhood, it also led to the underground water-table going down leading to water scarcity for this densely populated region.

Artificial groundwater recharge is a process by which the groundwater reservoir is
augmented at a rate exceeding the augmentation rate under natural conditions of replenishment. In
some parts of India, due to over-exploitation of groundwater, decline in groundwater levels
resulting in shortage of supply of water, and intrusion of saline water in coastal areas have been
observed. In such areas, there is need for artificial recharge of groundwater by augmenting the
natural infiltration of precipitation or surface-water into underground formations by methods such
as water spreading, recharge through pits, shafts, wells et cetera The choice of a particular method
is governed by local topographical, geological and soil conditions; the quantity and quality of
water available for recharge; and the technological-economic viability and social acceptability of
such schemes. In our project our study area is mainly comprised of hilly terrain with the maximum
elevation at 1184m at Bodamalai(melur). With other hillocks and hills are Jarugu malai,
Bodamalai, Jalluthumalai and Perumal malai, etc. In the north west of the study area, a lake is
situated namely Panamaruthupatti Lake. It is a natural lake surrounded by hills by which it
receives sources of water. Panamaruthupatti lake is about 3500 acres in area which provides water
to Salem town before the supply of Cauvery water from Mettur. Now this source of water is used to
meet the requirements in some parts of southern suburbs of Salem city and Northern part of
Namakkal District upto Rasipuram Town. This source of water will support to enhance the over all
augmentation of sub surface water in the study area. Now a days the supply of Cauvery water is not
fulfilling the needs of people and its sub urban because of increase in population. Any improvement
in ground water condition of study area will have the chance of additional supply of drinking water
and also the possibility of increase in agricultural activity in and around the said village. Hence we
plan to do research and propose the ideas for recharging the water to Panamarathupatti Block by
using conventional method.

Al-Shagaya Field-C is located southwest of Kuwait City, where the brackish groundwater is produced from the Dammam aquifer. The main objectives are to recognize the major geochemical processes operating in the aquifer and controlling its quality; in addition, to evaluate the groundwater quality criteria for drinking and irrigation. The investigation was carried out by estimating pH, EC, TDS, TH, SAR, %Na, RSC, RSBC, potential salinity, magnesium ratio, chloro-alkaline index, Kelly’s ratio, Permeability index, and salinity hazard respectively. The TDS ranges between 2474 and 3232 mg/l, with an average value of 2753mg/l and the water is exceeding very hard. Groundwater shows Ca-Cl and Ca-Mg-Cl genetic water types. Results revealed that the groundwater is oversaturated with respect to dolomite and calcite and under-saturated with respect to gypsum and anhydrite. The main geochemical processes controlling groundwater chemistry in the study area are due to dissolution/ precipitation process along the path flow. The major ions composition in groundwater of the study area indicated that the water is not suitable for drinking. However, the irrigation parameters revealed that the groundwater is suitable for irrigation purposes.

One of the major challenges and constraints to equitable access to safe, adequate, improved and affordable water supply and sanitation to its population is lack of appropriate water supply and sanitation facilities infrastructure in Nigeria. One very important water supply facility is water drilling rig. The water situation in Nigeria is precarious. As water resource stresses become acute in future, water deficit intensification in some areas (especially in the North) increases, coupled with escalating human demand, the conflict between human and environmental demands on water resources shall also intensify. The Governments and the External Supporting Agencies (ESAs) have supported the development of groundwater especially in the rural areas over the years, through the provision of Drilling Rigs, Geophysical equipment, chemical laboratory kits, hand pumps and spare parts to ensure sustainability of the programme. Some of these ESAs have provided direct funds for private sector drilling of borehole projects. Despite this huge investment there is still severe scarcity of water supply for domestic, agricultural and industrial purposes in Nigeria. This study investigates drilling rig technologies in Nigeria; understand their production and acquisition methods, their operation and the possible reasons for their poor impact on water provision.

Diabetes is a rapidly and serious health problem in Pakistan. This chronic condition is associated with serious long-term complications, including higher risk of heart disease and stroke. Aggressive treatment of hypertension and hyperlipideamia can result in a substantial reduction in cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes 1. Consequently pharmacist-led diabetes cardiovascular risk (DCVR) clinics have been established in both primary and secondary care sites in NHS Lothian during the past five years. An audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery at the clinics was conducted in order to evaluate practice and to standardize the pharmacists’ documentation of outcomes. Pharmaceutical care issues (PCI) and patient details were collected both prospectively and retrospectively from three DCVR clinics. The PCI`s were categorized according to a triangularised system consisting of multiple categories. These were ‘checks’, ‘changes’ (‘change in drug therapy process’ and ‘change in drug therapy’), ‘drug therapy problems’ and ‘quality assurance descriptors’ (‘timer perspective’ and ‘degree of change’). A verified medication assessment tool (MAT) for patients with chronic cardiovascular disease was applied to the patients from one of the clinics. The tool was used to quantify PCI`s and pharmacist actions that were centered on implementing or enforcing clinical guideline standards. A database was developed to be used as an assessment tool and to standardize the documentation of achievement of outcomes. Feedback on the audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery and the database was received from the DCVR clinic pharmacist at a focus group meeting.

Micro RNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs molecules having approximately 18-25 nucleotides, they are present in both plants and animals genomes. MiRNAs have diverse spatial expression patterns and regulate various developmental metabolisms, stress responses and other physiological processes. The dynamic gene expression playing major roles in phenotypic differences in organisms are believed to be controlled by miRNAs. Mutations in regions of regulatory factors, such as miRNA genes or transcription factors (TF) necessitated by dynamic environmental factors or pathogen infections, have tremendous effects on structure and expression of genes. The resultant novel gene products presents potential explanations for constant evolving desirable traits that have long been bred using conventional means, biotechnology or genetic engineering. Rice grain quality, yield, disease tolerance, climate-resilience and palatability properties are not exceptional to miRN Asmutations effects. There are new insights courtesy of high-throughput sequencing and improved proteomic techniques that organisms’ complexity and adaptations are highly contributed by miRNAs containing regulatory networks.
