There are 12 pairs of cranial nerves that arise from the medulla, each associated with a different

Define the nervous system?
Nervous system:
The function of the nervous system is to act as a means of
communication with in the body, to receive information from
parts of the body and send massage back to the muscles and
organ.
Three terms :
1) Neurons
2) Dendrons
3) Axons

2. Neurons:
The brain and spinal cord are made up of nerve
cells is called Neurons.
Dendrons:
Those nerve cells transmit impulses from brain to
cell body is called dendrons.
Axons:
Those nerve cells transmit impulses from body cells
to brain.
The axons and dendrons connect with the sensory
organs (sight,hearing,smell and taste)

3. Sensory organs suchsight, hearing, smell and taste etc.
Central nervous system (CNS): The nerve cells
consists of the brain and the spinal and which
together are generally referred as central nervous
system which central nervous system having a
complex hit work of fibers.
Central nervous system is divided in to three main
section –
1. Cerebrum
2. Cerebellum
3. Mid brain and medulla oblongata.

4. 1. Cerebrum:
The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain.
2. cerebellum:
It is much smaller parts.
It control complicated movement.
3. Medulla oblongata:
It control the blood supply.
It control heartis and respirations.

5. The cranial nerves are arise from the
medulla.
There are 12 pairs of cranial nerves are found
which are as follows1. Olfactory: e.g. Nose-smell.
2. Optic: e.g. Eye-sight.
3. Oculomotor: e.g. to the muscles of the eyes.
4. Trochlear: e.g. to the muscles of the eyes.
5. Abducent: e.g. to the muscles of the eyes.
6.Trigeminal:Skin of the face.
7.Facial:muscles of the face.
8.Auditory:Ear-(Hearing).
9.Glossopharyngeal:Tongue(taste)
10.Vagus:Heart,lung and stomach.
11.Spinal accessory: Muscles in the neck.
