This document summarizes the design of a square patch microstrip antenna for circular polarization using IE3D software. It describes the steps taken to design the antenna such as defining substrate parameters, drawing the rectangular patch and adding probe feeds. Simulation results are presented for S-parameters, VSWR, Smith charts, current distribution and radiation patterns. Comparisons are made by changing the dielectric constant and patch dimensions to study their effects on bandwidth and beamwidth. The presentation aims to share the antenna design process and analyze the impact of varying design parameters on the antenna's radiation performance.
