1. Analysis Essay Structure
Crafting an essay on the intricacies of "Analysis Essay Structure" is akin to navigating a
labyrinth of ideas, concepts, and critical thinking processes. At its core, such an essay demands a
profound understanding of the subject matter coupled with the ability to dissect, evaluate, and
articulate complex thoughts effectively.
To embark on this journey, one must first grapple with the foundational elements of analysis,
comprehending the nuances of deconstruction and interpretation. It necessitates a meticulous
approach to dissecting the subject matter into its constituent parts, discerning patterns, themes,
and underlying meanings. This process demands not only cognitive dexterity but also a keen eye
for detail and an aptitude for synthesizing information.
Moreover, constructing a coherent essay structure presents its own set of challenges. Balancing
the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion requires finesse, as each section must
seamlessly flow into the next, guiding the reader through a logical progression of ideas. The
introduction must captivate attention, providing context and laying the groundwork for the
ensuing analysis. The body paragraphs, on the other hand, serve as the crux of the essay, delving
deep into the analysis, presenting evidence, and substantiating claims. Finally, the conclusion
must tie together the threads of argumentation, offering a succinct summary while leaving a
lasting impression on the reader.
Furthermore, the task is compounded by the need for originality and depth of insight. Simply
regurgitating information or summarizing existing analyses falls short of the mark. Instead, the
essay must offer fresh perspectives, innovative interpretations, or novel approaches to the
subject matter, pushing the boundaries of conventional understanding.
In essence, writing an essay on "Analysis Essay Structure" demands a Herculean effort,
requiring intellectual prowess, analytical acumen, and a flair for rhetoric. It is a formidable task
that demands unwavering dedication, patience, and perseverance to surmount.

planning policies by guiding outcomes on planning applications concerning different
types of land use. NPPF covers principally The economy; Towncentres; The rural

Once established, Green Belt boundaries should only be altered in exceptional
circumstances, through the preparation or review of the Local Plan. At that time,
authorities should consider the Green Belt boundaries having regard to their intended

plan period.
When drawing up or reviewing Green Belt boundaries local planning authorities
should take account of the need to promote sustainable patterns of development. They
should consider the consequences for sustainable development of channelling
development towards urban areas inside the Green Belt boundary, towards towns and
villages inset within the Green Belt or towards locations beyond the outer Green Belt
3. Last Supper Tintoretto
The early years of the Italian Renaissance paintings focuses on a naturalistic stand
point whereas the late Renaissance years merge into mannerism introducing an
idealistic stand point. Mannerism acts as a gateway into the Baroque style of art
parting way with scenes of tranquility with earth tone colors and realistic aesthetics
and drawing closer to exaggerated scenes with vibrant colors and melodramatic
atmospheres. The two Last Supper paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci and Jacopo
Tintoretto illustrate perfect examples of the transition from the realism of early
Renaissanceart into the later Renaissance styles of mannerismand shows a hint of
what s to come in Baroque style art. Leonardo Da Vinci investigates a naturalistic
approach in his painting to portray an intimate religious experience without needing
excessive emotion whereas Tintoretto uses dramatic light... Show more content on

Angelman syndrome (AS) and Prader Willi syndrome (PWS) are both congenital
neurological disorders that cause physical and mental impairment. There are many
ways to get AS and PWS, but genomic imprinting is the most common cause. AS is
typically misdiagnosed as Cerebral Palsy or Autism and symptoms for AS and PWS
may vary between patients. There is no cure for AS or PWS, but physical and mental
therapy can help.
AS is caused by a deletion or mutation on the maternal chromosome 15, alteration in
UBE3A gene, paternal uniparental disomy, translocation, or mutation in the gene that
activates UBE3A gene. PWS is a deletion or mutation on the paternal chromosome 15,
uniparental disomy, or translocation. The loss of the SNORD116 gene on chromosome
5. The Theory Of Batteries And Electrochemical Cells
In class I was introduced to the concepts of batteries and electrochemical cells. I am
really interested in batteries and how they work and what goes into making a battery.
I was inspired to this experiment mostly because I want to study electrical
engineering in university and I wanted to find out the chemistry behind the
production of the electrical energy in batteries. During my reading, I found out that
the first battery was actually invented by Italian physicist Count Alessandro Volta and
was demonstrated to Napoleon Bonaparte in 1801. Constructed from alternating discs
of zincand copper wit pieces of cardboard soaked in brine between the metals, this
was the first battery that produced a reliable steady current of electricity. The reason
why this works is because, as I found out, batteries use the process of redoxreactions
to create voltage. I also found out that the difference in reactivity leads to the
voltage that will be produced. Voltage is a measure of the amount of energy which
each coulomb of electrons can carry. The more readily a species loses electrons,
the bigger the build of potential energy and the higher the voltage. The reason why
transition metals are used is because they are very good conductors of electricity and
they have seas of electrons so electrons can travel within them fairly easily. There is
a table that provides the results of experiments where these various compartments are
connected to a hydrogen electrode. It is known as the

Conservatism, at its Best. Merriam Webster defines change as to become different
. It happens in different ways and for various reasons. It can alter people s
perceptions of the world and even define who they are, like the Emancipation
Proclamation redefined the lives of millions of African Americans. However, there
are those who oppose it to preserve a detestable status quo. The play The Laramie
Project by Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project introduces some of
those people who live in the quiet town of Laramie, Wyoming. It has been 18 years
since the brutal murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay resident of Laramie. After that
tragedy, has anything changed? One answer comes from Laramie resident Rebecca
Hilliker who states in The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ideologies that are the foundations of the US, like Christianity, are so ingrained
in people s beliefs that they can t imagine others not following the same ideals and
thus they respond harshly against all transgressions. As the TFP Student Action
organization writes, gay marriage should be opposed because It Violates Natural
Law (TFP Student Action). The fact that many Americans are so narrow minded that
they want to deny the happiness of others goes against the American values of living
freely and our society needs to solve this problem before more Americans suffer.
This prejudice evoked me to discover what people are doing to fight the
discrimination associated with homosexuality. I was optimistic, at first, about
finding people who want to change societal prejudice directed at homosexuals, since
there had to be some souls who wished to change their community for the better.
But, in my search, I found relatively few such people; one of them is Jonas
Slonaker, a gay resident of Laramie.
Slonaker is a pivotal character in the movement for change within the conservative
structure of Laramie. His goal is to make Laramie and Wyoming come out of the
Matthew Shepard case with something lasting, like legislation. As he says, You know,
it s been a year since Matthew Shepard died, and they haven t passed shit in
Wyoming... nobody anywhere, has passed any kind of laws (Kaufman 97). Slonaker

7. The World s Largest Proven Oil Reserves
Introduction
Canada holds the distinction of having World s 3rd largest proven Oil reserves.
The province of Alberta alone contains 98% of all these reserves, discovered in
Canada (1). This is why Alberta holds the key position in Canadian economy as
Canada is the fourth largest exporter of the oil and it makes up almost one quarter
of Canada s exports as well as Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Almost 99% of
Alberta oil reserves are contained in oil sands and the remaining 1% are present as
conventional crude oil. According to an estimation, Oil sands contain up to 168
billion barrels of oil and conventional crude oil makes up to 1.5 billion barrels (1).

Commercial Development of the oil sands started with the start of 20th century.

8. The Traditional American Family
The traditional American family can be traced back to the aggressive marketing in
the 1950 s. The image of a white, middle class family owning a moderate sized
home with a well kept lawn. The father is the head of the household who would
teach his kids all the life lessons and be the only source of income by working a
white collar, corporate job. The mother would stay at home in a full skirt and heels
looking after the kids, preparing meals, and taking care of the house. The kids,
usually two, would be well behaved and well dressed. This view of the familyis
narrow and rigid, but through aggressive media portrayals has come to be viewed
as normal and ideal. Shows such as Leave it to Beaver and Father knows best
reinforced that idea of a good family eating together at dinner, praying together, and
being proud of the nation. Today, that ideal family image still holds its place in
today s culture, but there has been a dramatic shift from that ideal to a more
diverse representation of the American family. The tradition family has become a
sort of fairy tale that can never be achieved. It is now more common to see both
parents working to support the family, more women are breaking into the workforce
and even fathers are staying home to be the caretaker. A closer look at the data from
suggests the traditional family ideal failed to be widely accepted and instead media
outlets are scrambling to capture the image of the modern family.

11. Old Fort Erie Case Study
Part A: Introduction and Statement of Objectives
Wilfrid Laurier University has conducted an archaeological field school at Old
Fort Erie in 2012, 2013, and 2015. The work has primarily been conducted by
undergraduate students supervised by Teaching Assistants and Dr. John Triggs.
This paper will be focused on the 2015 season, specifically nnit M, excavated by
Joshua Graf. The artifacts recovered from the Unit have been catalogued and entered
into an excel worksheet; pivot tables have also been created. These artifacts will be
analyzed and statements will be made about the assemblage and its relation to the
wider site.

The areas of investigation were focused to the west of Douglass battery, chosen
based on an 1804 watercolour painting by Edward Walsh (see figure 1). In the
painting, three buildings are observed in the background, which prompted the
survey of the suspected area. A grid was set up in the area with flags being placed
at an interval of five meters. These intervals were test pitted down to the subsoil
and the contents screened through mesh. The test pits, which revealed building
material, were used to co ordinate three different areas that would be excavated.
Units were placed within each of these three spaces, laid in a way to maximize the
area that would be covered. Areas one and three were supervised by teaching
assistants Katie Anderson and Duncan Williams, while area two was under the
supervision of Dr. John Trigs. All soil that was removed was screened through wire
mesh and artifacts were placed in plastics bags with the provenience labeled on the
front. The season lasted six weeks, beginning from May 11th, to June 5th 2015. At
the end of the season, all units were backfilled with soil, with plastics sheets being
placed in specific units to protect features.

The following section contains an analysis of the artifacts recovered from unit M. All
artifacts catalogued by both myself and my partner, Laura Inthof, were complied into

The Bio P is an anaerobic pre reactor tank installed prior to the HRAS with the
purpose to remove biologically the incoming phosphorus from the wastewater (See
Figure 2). It has approximately a capacity of 65 Liters.
The (HRAS) reactor is a cylinder tank with a volume capacity of 250 Liters (See
Figure 3). This aeration reactor is fitted with two aeration blowers, which are
providing fine (0 3 mm) and coarse (3 50 mm) aeration. The fine aeration maintains
aerobic stable conditions; meanwhile, the coarse aeration delivers the adequate
mixing to avoid a possible vertical stratification into the system. The total air
supplied per m3 of the tank is 3 m3/m3.d. A DO6441/ T membrane probe measures
the dissolved oxygen levels in the bioreactor and assist to control the airflow to the

13. Concept Of Attitudes On Attitudes
Concept of Attitudes
In literature there are several definitions of attitude. According to Legendre
(LaFortune Saint Pierre, 2001, pp. 30 31) an attitude is a state of spirit, an inner
disposition acquired in relation to himself or to the whole element of the
surrounding environment that incites a way of being or acting, favorable or
unfavorable . For Morissette and Gingras (1999) an attitude is an inner disposition of
the person that translates into moderate emotional reactions that are assimilated and
then tested whenever the person is placed before an object; These emotional
reactions lead her to approach the object (to be favorable) or to depart (be
unfavorable) .
At the beginning of the studies on attitudes by psychology, Allport ... Show more

The most widely used models for the study of attitude are the Model Classical
Tripartite Attitude (CAB Model), the Classical One Dimensional Model of Attitude
and the Model Attitude coated Tripartite according to Neto (1998). Attitude is
composed of cognition, affection and behavior, these elements being the most
diversified order.
Since attitude is a set of multidimensional variables, and taking into account the
traditional approach made by Rosenberg and Hovland (1960), which proposes to
analyze the three components separately, so that they can be operationalized. These
variable are constituted by the affective component of an attitude refers to the
subjective feelings and the physiological responses that accompany an attitude. The
cognitive component refers to the beliefs and opinions through which the attitude is
expressed, even though they are not always aware. The behavioral component
concerns the mental and physical process that prepares the individual to act in a
certain way. (Neto, 1998).
Studies by Brewer Crano (1994) and Olson Zanna (1993), draw the following
rationale for the three components. The affective component of attitudes refers to the
way a particular stimulus triggers affective reactions, regardless of the information
has on it, and some symbolic attitudes concerning ideological contents. However,
most attitudes are cognitive information dependent on the conjugation of existing
beliefs, that is, on how the individual associates objects

There is something intriguing and mysterious about a once famous star who draws
a huge fan base then suddenly disappears from the scene of stardom like he never

such song was the Sugar Man which talked about drugs. His producers were

The college process can be one that is very long and difficult, especially for student

on your future with many factors to consider throughout the process. For me, the
three big factors that contributed to my decision to attend Miami were my swim
career, my academic goals, and the amazing people and staff that make up Miami
University. Swimming has been a part of my life since I was six years old, and it
has only become a bigger part of my life as I got older. Interestingly enough, I hated
swimming during the first couple years and if it wasn t for my parents forcing me
to stick with it, I would have quit. But, I started to grow an appreciation for the
sport as I made some of my best friends through my team and having a lot of fun

have had some of my greatest memories through competitions such as the state meet
my senior year when my team won the state meet. My team got a National record
and numerous state records and it was one of the greatest moment of my life and is
a big reason why I decided to continue my swim career in college. During my
recruiting trip to Miami, I knew almost instantly that it was the place for me. The
swim team was very close knit and I knew it was an environment where I could
continue to make some of my closest friends. The coaches and facilities proved to me
that this was a team that was

The Aztecs dwellings tended to be built on a similar pattern in the empire (though
smaller for the poorer classes and larger for the nobles), there were several variations
on the theme. Some houses would have flat pole roofs, others peaked roofs. Though
it was common for houses to be built right on the ground, some were built on
platform.
Materials included in common house construction included straw, wood, stone, sand,
lime, and clay. Straw would often be used for the construction of roofs. Adobe
bricks, very common in the construction of houses in the Aztec empire, would be
made from water, sand, clay, and a material such as straw. The name translates to
dried brick in Spanish. Floors might be dirt, stone, or plastered.

The reservation of the Convention on the Rights of a Child (CROC) had played
invaluable role in charging the way in which young offenders are dealt with within
the Australia Criminal Process. Including the introduction of the theory known as
Doli Incapax meaning the age of criminal reasonability, the Young Offender Act

with Young Offenders within the Criminal JusticeSystem the majority of them are in
place for the greater good and are assisting young offenders when it relates to the
Criminal Justice System.
Doli Incapax is just one of the ways in which children are now treated more equally
under the law. According to the theory it is presumption that children are incapable
of having criminal intent which in terms means that children under the age of 10
are unable to be charge with any criminal offence and when relating to children 10

Anyone who has even the slightest clue about anything related to world news has the
basic understanding that Iran is a major player in the world of politics. From
miscellaneous missile launches to disputes with other foreign nations, they have
strong armed their way onto the international stage. Iran has become the largest
threat in the Middle Eastern region as a result of the efforts of their fairly infant
Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Plunging in for a closer look, the
strength of the IRGC impresses not only politics, but the socioeconomic culture of
Iranbut not in the most positive fashion.
Formally known as Persia, Iran s military history spans back to the time period
before Christ existed. Through thousands of years of regime changes, in more
modern times, Iran has adopted a two headed military system. These two factions
are the Artesh and the Sepah (more commonly known as Iranian Revolutionary
Guard Corps [IRGC]). The Artesh is the national defense force or the conventional
army of Iran. The Artesh protect the borders and carry out other internal
responsibilities while the IRGC serves as the offensive entity. The Artesh has more
soldiers than the IRGC, but the IRGC is the face and strength of Iran. The birth of
the IRGC was a result of the Iranian Revolution of 1979. The ability of the IRGC to
not only stand up as an Army, but to essentially eradicate the Iraqi presence from
Iran to end the 8 year Iraq Iran War legitimizes its existence even to this day.

Imagine this, you have just married your college sweetheart this past summer. You
have now been happily married for over a year and you find out that the two of
you are going to be parents. So as the typical soon to be mom and dad so commonly
do, the two of you start going to the doctor for checkups to make sure the pregnancy
is running smoothly. Early in the pregnancy you hear the worst, your baby has a fatal
disease. The two of you are terribly heart broken over the situation. You tell your
doctor that abortion is out of the question because you do not believe in it. On the
other hand the doctor hits you with the question, What about gene therapy?
Unfortunately you and your spouse look dumbfounded at each other ... Show more

Gene therapy techniques consist of several key elements. An important element,
actually one of the most important elements is the identification and cloning of the
gene or genes related to the disease, which is going to be maintained or treated by
gene therapy. However, gene therapy should not be confused with the concept of
cloning. Cloning is creating another individual with essentially the same genetic
makeup. The idea of cloning an entire human is very different from gene therapy.
Next the expression and efficiency of gene transfer during gene therapy must be
emphasized. Scientists involved with gene therapy research are currently trying to
discover the best rates of gene transfer and tissue specific gene expression. Gene
therapy research is still in the formative stages. Although a number of early human
clinical trials have been initiated to test important concepts that have emerged.
The genes we inherit from our parents virtually affect every human disease. The
argument for gene therapy lies in the understanding of the genetic basis of human
disease. There are an amazing 100,000 individual genes in the human genome. At the
present time there is an international movement known as the Human Genome
Project. The project will eventually provide an understanding of how each gene plays
a role in human lives. The project
21. The Origin Of Species By Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin is perhaps one of the most well known men of science to this date.
He s most known for his theory of evolution and in particular, natural selection. His
most famous works, and one of his most controversial works as well, was his book
titled On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation
of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life. Darwin wrote the Origin of Species
after an almost five year voyage aboard the H.M.S. Beagle. While aboard the
beagle, Darwin was presented with many facts that appeared to shed some light on
the origin of species . Darwin has contributed in many ways to the world of science,
specifically the history of science. His works and theories can be found today in
almost any historical science class. Darwin may not have been the first to talk about
evolution, but he certainly is one of the most well known historians of science to
have addressed the issue. In his book, The Origin of Species, Darwin described in
detail how certain species evolve over time, as well as how his theory of natural
selectionhas affected evolution. While on his voyage aboard the H.M.S. Beagle,
Darwin observed the various typed of birds of the Galapagos Islands. While doing
so, he discovered that the life forms native to those islands bore a striking
resemblance to similar species living on nearby continents than to those living on
more distant islands. From these observations, Darwin formed his theory of natural
selection. In its
22. Hypocrisy and Christianity Essay
Hypocrisy and Christianity
If one were to ask the American public about their views of Christians, what
response would one receive? We can imagine that there would be a great variety of
answers. However, most people might say that, in general, Christians are not very
different from everybody else. This is a problem. There are many people who claim
to be Christians whose lifestyles do not reflect their beliefs. The problem with this
situation is that it gives non Christians the wrong impression of Christianity.
Christians need to live their lives in a way that reflects what they claim to believe.
Christianity is a lifestyle not just a set of beliefs. A Christian is not merely someone
who attends church once in a while and believes ... Show more content on

People are ready to sue the minute someone does something to them that they feel
was uncalled for. We can see through this that people still have a desire for truth
and justice. They want to hear and see good things. People think of Christians as
good people. They expect someone who claims to be a Christian to be a kind,
moral, overall good person. It is extremely disheartening if those who claim to
have the guide to moral living are just as dishonest and coldhearted as anyone else.
It discredits Christianity s claim of having a better way. For example, let s say that
it is discovered that a person who has always attended church and openly claimed
Christianity has been embezzling funds from their company. Many people would be
even more angry that he was hiding behind the front of being a good, honest
Christian than if someone who had not laid claim to those values was discovered in
the same crime. If people cannot trust Christians who claim to be moral, whom can
they trust? Is there anything that deems a person or group of people trustworthy?
Hypocrisy among Christians can cause these kinds of ideas to grow.
Christians are commanded in the Bible to take the gospel into all the world. God
desires that all people know Him. However, since He is in heaven and not on the
earth now, it is up to His people to show others the way to Him. Much of that
testimony for Christ is through the way Christians lives are lived. It is well known that
23. Thoroughbreds and Saddlebreds
Thoroughbreds and Saddlebreds are both commonly known horses. They Both have
been selectively bred to get their high quality. Although, these horses have been bred
so carefully, they have been bred together to get a faster horse, but also great for
show. Thoroughbreds are bred for their speed. They re known as the English Horse,
because they evolved in Britain in the 17th and 18th centuries. Thoroughbreds were
named because of the way they were bred. They were called thoroughbreds because
they were purebred. The name , Thoroughbred, is a direct translation of the Arabic
word Kehilan ( IHWT Irish Horse Welfare Trust ). The origin of the breeding of
thoroughbred back in the ancient times was found that the three main descendants
weren t very fast horses. The gene that made these horses so quick came from an
anonymous mare that was raced more than 300 years ago. They think that this mare
may have been part or mostly Shetland. Thoroughbreds are often described as the
highest class of light horse imaginable. The Irish Thoroughbred has won many
major races throughout the world ( IHWT Irish Horse Welfare Trust ).
Thoroughbreds are usually about 16 hands tall, (1 hand is equal to 3 feet). They are
long and sleek, with long legs which allows them to move quickly. Their most
common colors would be brown, bay, chestnut, and black. They have a straight
profile and all though they have Arabian ancestors, they do not show any of their
distinct profiles. Thoroughbreds are bred
24. She is a Witch!
The finger has been pointed; she is a witch! For people living during the renaissance,
in the reign of King James I, they were convicted to death as quickly as that. The idea
of witches and witchcraft can be traced back to the Romans. Although witchcraft was
around for years there was little counts of action against them; until the Renaissance.
During the Renaissance, sixteenth century, many people were put to death for being
suspected of witchcraft. The hunt for witches all occurred because of a theory and
the ruler, King James, of the time. Witchcraft has been around since the beginning
of time, but in the sixteenth century a new theory developed off the basics of
Christian theology. This theory was that a witch had made a deliberate pact with
the devil, almost a form of a personal arrangement, but that a witch did not act
alone. Therefore if one witch existed in a locality, there had to be more (James I and
Witchcraft). This new theory led to a total change in witch hunting. No one person in
a village could now be accused, according to the Christian theory, there always had to
be more. Suspected witches were no longer arrested and then put to death; they were
now tortured until they would confess another witches name. But how would they
determine who was a witch or not?
Anyone could have been convicted of being a witch, but the finger was usually
pointed at, an old, isolated, poverty stricken woman (The Royal Play: James I and
Macbeth). Women had little to no
25. Essay on Religion, Politics, and Diplomacy
Those who say religion has nothing to do with politics do not know what religion is
(Mahatma Gandhi). Though many politicians of the day say that government should
be in a separate category than religion, it still plays an important role. Religion may
not be big in countries like America, but it weighs heavily on many other countries
all around the world. That is why when doing anything, a business deal, or a
diplomatic trip, there needs to be cautionary measures taken. Two authors go over the
subject of one countryunderstanding another: Journalist Thomas Friedman in his text

Albright in her text Faith and Diplomacy . In both texts the authors stem off... Show

Albright really wants peace, and as a former Secretary of State she has not seen
much. She talks a lot about religion and how it can be good and bad. People fight
wars because of religion; they also die because of it too.
There can be a level of not understanding a different country s habits and niches.
Albright believes a goal should be set by the government, In the future, no
American ambassador should be assigned to a country where religious feelings are
strong unless he or she has a deep understanding of the faiths commonly practiced
there (29). Take this idea of Albright s and expand it to not only diplomats, but the
traveling business man as well. There are many a time when a business man does
not know the culture and religious background of a country, does something silly
during a business meeting, and offends everyone. Let s say if the business man
goes to Japan, if they don t follow these rules: No excessive eye contact, never ever
be late for an appointment, avoid wearing lots of jewelry and bright colors, and
others as well, the Japanese business man will get very upset, and that could make
everything bad. If someone does these bad things with the wrong people, like a
dignitary, it could mean war. Examining the tension between China and Taiwan,
Hundreds of big American tech companies now have R D operations in China; a war
that disrupted them could lead not only to the companies moving their plants
elsewhere...
26. The Consequences Of Globalization
The Effects of Globalization Globalization is communication among the people,
businesses, and governments of different countries. It has caused massive changes to
the world because of all the downsides that is has. Globalization is currently a
controversial issue because some people think it s a good thing, but some people
think it s a bad thing. It means something different to everyone. The consequences of
globalizationhave been mostly bad because lower skilled workers got lower wages,
had to work more, and had poor working conditions. Also, it causes environmental
devastation and health issues. Although globalization can be bad, it can also be
good because everybody involved can be developed even if their countries are
losing jobs because of the developing world. The consequences of globalization
have been mostly bad because lower skilled workers had to work more, got lower
wages, and worked in poor conditions. According to The True Cost film, the
garment workers in Bangladesh make $2 per day. This shows that the workers
there are paid very little even though they work in poor conditions. Also, according
to The True Cost film, garment workers in Cambodia took the streets to demand a
wage of at least $160. This also shows that workers are paid very little and clearly
want a higher minimum wagebecause of it. Also according to The True Cost film, the
Rana Plaza factory collapsed and hundreds died. This happened because the building
was structurally unsafe. This

Gwen to Chaurisse and Laverne show various similarities and differences. The two
relationships between mother and daughter are very noticeable throughout the novel.
Tayari Jones made it easy for readers to distinguish the types of relationships the
mothers and the daughters have together. The motherdaughter relationships also have
a role with James relationship with each family. To begin with, the two mother
daughter relationships have a few similarities throughout the novel. One similarity is
the strong relationship between each other. For example, Gwen would lie on Dana s

Laverne has been with James since she was fourteen because Laverne got pregnant
with James child (165). James is usually present with their family unless he is
visiting with Dana and Gwen. James is super close with Chaurisse growing up.
When Chaurisse was a baby, she had colic and James was the one who could calm
her down (220). Their relationship is close and James lets Chaurisse help him with
work. For example, Chaurisse was the attendant for Ruth Nicole Elizabeth Grant s
sweet sixteen while James drove the limo (229). As I read the novel, I noticed a lot
that Laverne and Chaurisse meant so much more to James than Dana and Gwen. For
instance, when Laverne and Chaurisse found out about Gwen and Dana, James kept
fighting for Laverne until she took him back (329 333). This goes to show that their
mother daughter relationship shaped James relationship with them completely
different that Dana and
28. Photoshop in Business and Society
Businesses have countless applications for the computer software known as
Photoshop. The software is such an integrated part of society that businesses and
scholarly articles assume people have prior knowledge of what it is and what it
does. Photoshop is defined by Oxford as trademarked digital image editing software
to alter photographic images. It is an industry standard for digital graphics and has
many applications to various businesses and media. Lev Manovich wrote in Inside
Photoshop that to count up the number of options in Photoshop and then count all the
options each option subsequently contains, that the total number of options the
software allows for would be in the thousands. Professionals in media, education,
research, and many businesses utilize the software. However, there is controversy
surrounding the use of Photoshop in advertisements that edited models to
unrealistic levels, because of the impact those images have on society. Nonetheless,
Photoshop is widely used and has revolutionized business and integrated into many
industries not limited to media or photography. Photoshop has a brief history since
it has only been around for almost three decades. At the end of the 1980s, it was
beginning to be developed as a way of procrastination by Thomas Knoll, a
University of Michigan graduate student and doctoral candidate in computer vision.
Knoll was trying to write programming code to display gray scale computer images

Septic Arthritis
Septic arthritis is a common cause of severe lameness in cattle. Most commonly the
distal interphalangeal joint is involved, but septic arthritis of proximal joints (fetlock,
carpus, tarsus, stifle etc.) have been reported on a much lower frequency. Bacteria
can colonize the joint in 3 different ways: (1) through a wound directly invading the
joint, (2) by close proximity of a primary infection site to the joint and migration the
bacteria within the inflamed tissue into the joint, and (3) by hematogenous spread
from bacteremia. In this manner, joints can become infected remotely from the
primary source of infection. Adult cows tend to suffer more from the first 2

Octavia Butler s Kindred
Throughout the novel Kindred, Butler compared and contrasted modern African
Americans with African Americans that were slaves in the novel. Some of the many
ways she compares them are through education, work ethic, and their personal
feelings about and/or how they handle their own slavery.
Education is very important to the blacks that were enslaved in the novel. The slaves
valued education even more than the modern African Americans like Dana who had
always thought they had very high standards on education. The slaves valued
education so much because to them it was not only a tool to better themselves, but
also a very powerful tool that could potentially lead them to freedom. With the ability

The work ethic of the slaves was much greater than that of Dana and the African
Americans of the modern times. Although Dana had viewed herself as having a
good work ethic, when she was put in the fields for only a short time she could not
withstand the physical hardships which the slaves endured day after day. The
slaves were not only more physically capable to complete the work but they were
also more focused on completing their goal. You must remember that in Dana?s time
money was always a strong motivation for any worker but in the slave?s time a whip
could drive someone just as good. Ultimately the slaves were motivated to complete
their work because they knew that their well being depended on it.
The slaves in the novel seemed to adapt much better to their own slavery than the
modern blacks such as Dana did. Slavery was the only life many of the blacks had
ever known so it was much easier for them to accept their future than it was for
Dana to accept her sudden loss of rights. For Dana to come from a world where the
possibilities of African American?s futures were so broad to suddenly lose all of her
rights and be viewed as property was almost enough to cause Dana a mental
breakdown. Although the slaves did not want theirs lives the way they were, they had
somewhat grown accustomed to the idea of slavery and accepted it as their future. It

33. Meaning And Symbols Of The Eucharist
Religion remains the only unifying factor among different people globally
regardless of the social status, gender, age, political affiliation and skin color. The
world has many religions that people believe in although all religions believe in one
Supreme Being who created the universe. However, the means through which the
people believe in the Supreme Being comes in different ways depending on the
religion and its beliefs. In the different religions, many practices resemble but have
different names attached to them based on the people, their location, and their
religious teachings they follow. Such practices include the Lord s Supper as referred
by most Protestant churches while the Catholics refer the same as the Eucharist.
Happenings during that time become important to every person who believes in the
Supreme Being through His Son JesusChrist. The events surround the time when
Jesus sat with his disciples and had the last meal with them in His human body hence
signifying an important event in the life if every believer. The Eucharist, therefore,
becomes important in defining the life of a Catholic and the manner in which they
need to emulate the life of Christ. Eucharist hence remains as a vital element to every
Catholic who believes and prays through the Holy Virgin Mary the mother of Jesus
who intercedes for them to the Supreme Being and the Creator of the Universe.
Meaning and symbols of the Eucharist

Conventions of Nursery Rhymes
The conventional nursery rhyme is a vehicle for educating children at an early age
of development. Originally constructed to help with language acquisition and
understanding, these rhymes are often characterized as very short poems designed
specifically to teach children in one way or another (Grace 13 Sept 2013). The
purpose of a nursery rhyme is to teach language to children by using different
techniques helping to stimulate their imagination, while at the same time introducing
the skill of memorization and comprehension of simple words (Zuralski). Many
nursery rhymes are fashioned as short poems with metrical rhythms, rhyme schemes
and repetition of words or sounds. In the poems Young Night Thought... Show more

For example, the words sand (2), and hand (4) are almost identical sounding words
with the exception of one letter being different. Rhymes like this are simple and
can be remembered easily. Disyllabic words on the other hand are slightly more
challenging for children to pronounce due to the complete change in spelling, for
example river (1), and ever (3), requires changing the words completely, yet they are
still words that a child can easily follow because of the matching syllables.
Changing slightly to examine the repetition of words in this poem, it is quite similar
to Young Night Thought insofar as there are again two separate words being repeated
three times. The first word that Stephenson repeats throughout the text is the river (1)
in the first, ninth, and thirteenth lines of the poem. What is interesting in the
placement of the word river in the first line is that it answers the question posed in
the title Where Go the Boats? The repetition of the word river allows a child listener
to associate it with the idea that boats can be found at the river, while at the same
time identifying the question being asked in the poem. A child will become familiar
with the connection made between the boats and the river through this constant
repetition.
Another significant word that Stephenson repeats throughout this poem is the word
Away (11). It is introduced in a different manner than the

36. Implications Of The Involement Of Neighboring Countries
Q2. IMPLICATIONS OF THE INVOLEMENT OF NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES
1. Regional Implications
The continuous conflict and seemingly unending civil war in Syria has made the
refugee settlement mission a difficult task. The persistent state of fear has given rise
to security controls across the border, and the incessant displacement of people from
Syria has increased vulnerability amongst refugees seeking asylum. The number of
refugees has grown steadily and has reached a disturbing number of 235,000
according to UNHCR. In addition, many immigrants remain unregistered and
vulnerable in the neighbouring regions simply because the countries hosting them are
also incapable to make available adequate resources due to economic constraints.
Turkey, due to its financial status, has been able to cope positively with the 80,000
refugees in the country. Iraq is trying to cope with the incursion of immigrants into
the country, fearing a reaction from al Qaeda who might use the refugee issue to
settle in Iraq. Iraq has taken in only about 16,000 refugees so far, according to the
United Nations. On the other hand, Lebanon is hosting about 100,000 refugees and in
spite of the latest conflict in the country; the number of immigrants crossing over has
not decreased. In fact, it has steadily increased.
Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq are struggling to hurriedly put together camps and
settlements to accommodate the influx of immigrants. The immigrants are in a

Thermodynamics...
Thermodynamics is a branch in physics that deal with heat and temperature and how
they are related with energy and work. There are 3 laws of thermodynamics which
are used almost every day and some of them are present in our body.
Thermoregulation:
Thermoregulation is process by which our body keeps our internal body temperature
constant. Our optimum body temperature is 37В°C to 40В°C. Whenever our body
temperature increases or decreases our internal system brings our temperature back to
normal.
As the second law of thermodynamics states, the energy will spread from a high
concentration to low concentration or heat moves from high temperature to low

Entropy can be used in monitoring a patient s EEG. EEG is Electroencephalography
which is a method used to record a patient s electric activity of the brain. It measure
the voltage fluctuation of ionic current within the neurons of the brain.
Mainly there are two entropy parameters, the fast reacting Response Entropy (RE)
and the more steady and robust State Entropy (ST). State entropy consists of the
entropy of the EEG signals 32 Hz. Response Entropy includes high frequencies up to

The Origin of Life When considering the many theories involving How life began
You must not consider a few main theories but a few main theory groups. Because
there are literally hundreds of theories on this subject which can be grouped in to
three main categories and then in to various sub categories. 1) Creation science This
consists of about twelve theories that are based on the book Genesis all slightly
varying in their interpretation. These can be split into two main groups, New and Old
earth creationists. Г New earth creationists believe that god created the earth its life

3) Theistic evolution view This group of theories is based around the idea that
there was evolution and the earth is 4.5 billion years old but all of the scientific
process involved in creating life were some how influenced or controlled by a
divine power. This group of theories could be described as a happy medium it
combines the ideas of creation science and scientific views to create in my opinion
a more credible theory of how life began which could be believed by religious
scientists like myself. Scientific views main theories One of the main theories is that
life started by chemical means in a rock where water, methane, ammonia and
hydrogen were all present then with the added effect of lightening simple organic
molecules formed the building blocks of life. There was an experiment that was
conducted in 1953 by Miller and Urey that supports that the conditions above could
stimulate organic compounds to form. *copied The Miller Urey experiment attempts
to recreate the chemical conditions of the primitive Earth in the laboratory, and
synthesized some of the building blocks of life. . The Miller Urey experiment (or

39. Doris Day History Dbq Analysis
In the 1950s, postwar we saw a huge effort for the reconstruction of families. The
roles of each person in the family had a purpose. The roles were specific and to
stray from it would not have been good for the family image. Women were the
homemakers who waited on their families every need. While this trend was
growing another trend opposing it grew as well. We lived in a conservative time but
many women did not always fall into the homemaker category. Not all women were
married. Not all women had the family so new trends started to pop up. Beauty
pageants, Barbie s and Marilyn Monroewere some of the biggest and or sexiest
trends to come about. The sex appeal of women changed during this era but icons
made a huge difference. They have molded what we are today and what women have
evolved into. Doris Day was what an independent womanwas supposed to be like.
She gave that image but she was not married and she did have a sex appeal to her
that was not common. The other three icons broke that mold but Doris Day created
the gateway for these icons.
Beauty pageants were made to bring everyone together. Like the Super Bowl and
the Emmys, the contest has become part of America s mythological consciousness, a
point of pride and societal longing. (Ronnie D. Lankford, 1999 2005). The beauty of
the 51 individuals wasn t a bad thing either especially since the women were running

2). What the author is trying to state is that we should not be labeling an individual
solely because they enjoy the fashion sense of a group. Just because someone looks
a specific way does not mean that it is okay to ridicule them in a manner that
makes them uncomfortable. It is okay for someone to dress or look how they
desire, but what is not okay is for them to be made fun of for what they like and enjoy.
When someone thinks of the word Emo, many different visuals appear in their
mind. Most people usually imagine a tall, slender, teenage male dressed in all
black clothes with long, black hair. In the article, What is emo? Why Emo? , the
author describes them as, The fashion was simple: black tight clothing with a dash
of color thrown in their elbow length gloves or poetry covered converse. There
were the side bangs that produced what my friends in high school called the
Cyclops look because it covered one eye. And to follow up on the low self esteem,
being thin was an obsession. If you wore the clothes and appeared to weigh close to
a hundred pounds, you were Emo, otherwise you were a fat rocker
41. North America Environmental Issues
This paper reviews the environmental issues and management practices in the mining
sector in the North America. The sustainable measures on waste management is
recognized as one of the most serious environmental concerns in the mining industry.
For mining activities, it will be no surprise that the metal recovery reagents and acid
effluents are a threat to the ecosystem as well as hazards to human health. In addition,
poor air quality and ventilation in underground mines can lead to occupational illness
and death of workers. Electricity usage and fuel consumption are major factors that
contribute to greenhouse gases. On the other hand, many sustainability challenges are
faced in the management of tailings and disposal of waste rock. This paper... Show

In Canada, the extraction and transformation of metals create risks of negative
impacts on the environment and on the surrounding communities. Not only does the
processes of metals require important quantities of energy, water and toxic reagents

of atmospheric pollution, dust, and especially solid rock wastes (Ecojustice Report

acid mine drainage (AMD) and metal leaching of tailing can deteriorate water quality,
can kill aquatic life like fish and make water practically unusable (Environmental

The history of filmmaking is vast and spans several centuries, beginning in the mid to
late 1800s following the invention of the camera, by experimenting with photography
to create animation and moving images. Since then, cinema has evolved from looping
one to two minute scenes on film, to one to two hour movies shot in a multitude of
possible mediums, with several different types of picture, sound, and digital effects.
The advancements of digital cinema have disrupted the construction of reality within
narrativefilmmaking, and have blurred the lines between animation and live action

Camera placement and framing also warps reality by inaccurately trying to imitate
the human eye. This practice of verisimilitude continues through to post production
when editing manipulates the viewer further by implying temporal and spatial
relations that likely didn t exist during production. Hollywood creates their own
version of reality without the use of tangible special effects, but nevertheless it s
all fabricated: Mise en scГЁne is, perhaps, the most indispensable ingredient in
grounding a text in realism. The representation of a materially recognisable world
is the one that the photographic media are most obviously qualified to achieve. Any
departure from this recognisability is perceived as a significant departure from
verisimilitude, inviting an immediate questioning of its cause or effect. [...] [T]o
represent a simulacrum of the material world is to assert the fictional reality of
narrative events. This goes to show that even with an absence of special and visual
effects, cinematic verisimilitude will never truly be one hundred percent real.
Alternatively, when digital cinema does incorporate special effects such as 3 D
computer generated images, or CGI animation there is no reason why it should be
grounded in reality. The purpose of these technologies is to create
43. Racism In Richard Wright s Black Boy
Racism is man s gravest threat to man the maximum of hatred for a minimum of
reason (Abraham Joshua Heschel). This relates to Richard Wright s
autobiography, Black Boy . Richard Wright depicts his extremely difficult life as a
black man in the heat of the south s racism and oppression. Unlike most of the
blacks Richard meets throughout his life, he is extraordinarily freethinking and
open minded for his social class. Richard prefers to question the norms of society
rather than fit in and take the verbal and physical abuse from whites and sometimes
blacks. From a very young age Richard is confused and does not understand the
concept of racism. Richard Wright learns at a very young age that if he is to survive,

One morning, Uncle Tom asks Richard the time, to which Richard replies the time

two razor blades in his hands he announces to Uncle Tom, Now listen, Uncle Tom,

measuring cylinder in order to calculate its volume. 2.Then pour 1/3 of the bottle s
volume of water back into the bottle and mark out the level of it with a pen. (It s
important to only use the bottle once in the experiment as it can be weakened by
the explosion and can be dangerous if used again). 3.Then fill the bottle completely
and invert in a washing up bowl of water. 4.Place one end of the rubber tube that s
connected to the gas tap which is placed under the neck of the bottle and fill the
bottle up to the level you marked out with Methane from the gas tap. Then start to fill

E payment systems are not a novel idea. Electronic money has been used between

been able to withdraw money from ATMs (automatic teller machines), and the use of
credit cards has also become increasingly common since then.
Credit Cards
Credit cards are currently the most popular payment instrument on the Internet. The

are smart cards containing hardware devices (chips) offering encryption and far

Typically, the customer gives his credit cardinformation (i.e., issuer, expiry date,

51. Goblin Market Essay
The aim of this particular essay is to examine and perform an in depth analysis
relating to the theme of sexual temptations within the widely known poem, Goblin
Market, by the Victorian era poet Christina Rossetti. Throughout this particular
poem, Rossetti demonstrates the life of two maidens who live a life surrounded by
sexual temptations; and within this dissertation, I intend to analyze the plethora of
literary devices that Rossetti utilizes in order to portray this theme revolved around
temptation, and the desire to fulfill sexual desires once one has succumbed to the
temptation. The first stanza in the poem itself introduces us to a form of temptation
when it is stated that, Morning and evening / Maids heard the goblins cry: / Come
buy, our orchard fruits, / Come buy, come buy: / Apples and oranges, / Plump
unpecked cherries / Melons and raspberries, / Bloom down cheeked peaches, / Swart

The Arab Israeli Conflict and Outside Influence on It
The history of the Arab Israeli conflict has always been an international one. It has
never been simply a local problem. Foreign powers have been involved since 1914,
and, since 1973, the whole world has been affected by the rise in oil prices, which
are a consequence of the Yom Kippur War.
The first sign of trouble between the two religious groups came just after the First
World War when tension between the two groups grew when some Jews migrated to
Palestine. In 1921 there were violent clashes between the Jews and the Arabs this
was caused by the influx of Jewish immigrants. All the while from 1933 to 1948

In 1956 the Suez crisis involved two of Europe s major powers France and Britain
who were at war with Egypt over the Suez Canal and Israel joined with the British
and French, however the worlds leading power the USA opposed the war and the
Soviet Union threatened military action upon the three countries if they didn t pull
out of the war. Again after the intervention and action taken by the British and
French it was left to the UN to pick up the pieces and resolve the hatred caused by
this war between Israel and Egypt. I believe that Britain and France should not have
allowed Israel to join in the war because the gulf between Jews and Arabs was
widening daily.
So to be aware of this fact it wasn t surprising that the Egyptians and the Jews were
at war again. In 1967 there was the infamous six day war between Israel and Egypt,
the Jews defeated the Egyptians in the June of 1967. The UN was called upon again
and they passed Resolution 242 to try to solve the rising hatred felt between the
Arabs and the Jews. I believe the Middle Eastern countries were becoming too reliant
on foreign intervention to solve problems that they caused or they were apart of it.
So great was the hatred between Arabs and
