really challenged and complimented my understanding of slaveryin American history.
The incidents that really swayed me where when she found out she was pregnant,

Jacobs, or Linda Brent, had a relationship with her master that involved fear and
restraint. Dr. Flint, her master, was very covetous of the young slave girl refusing
to sell her to another master. Although she feared him, she could not escape him
and ultimately she let him take advantage of her. This incident in her life stuck out
to me because it showed how slave families seriously disapprove of intercourse
with their masters despite there being no consent. I had always believed that a
family would understand that because the master had forced his will on you, the

free the Israelites from Egypt. Moses was a Hebrew baby that was found by the
Pharaoh s daughter and was raised by them. As Moses got older, he witnessed the
cruel way an Egyptian was beating an Israelite worker. Moses intervened and ended
up killing the Egyptian. Out if fear Moses leaves Egypt and lands in Midian.
While out one day with his flock, Moses came upon a burning bush. That bush ended
up being God. This is where God asks Moses to go back to Egypt to ask the Pharaoh
to let his people go. Moses hesitates and asks God how and why him. During his

Sixteen girls, sixteen personalities. For six years I was a part of a competition
cheerleading team. After my third year of cheering, I was chosen to coach our
youth team of four to seven year old girls. Not an easy task! Sunday I would go
into the gym at twelve thirty and coach youth practice until two thirty. I would
then stay at the gym finishing homework and eat lunch. My practice began around
eight o clock and end around ten thirty. Thursday s I would arrive at the gym
around five thirty. I would coach practice then our senior 3 team would practice
after youth was done. I would go straight to practice after I m done coaching. Our
practices where about two hours for each team, and would practice two days a
week. I would be in the gym five times a week, between coaching and practicing....
But injuries happen and I learned that I have to accept it. Near the end of
September I was very close to almost tearing my rotator cuff. It is the muscle that
helps keep your shoulder together and allows it to move the way it does. If I tore
the muscle I would have to get surgery and I wouldn t be able to cheer for two
