PCR testing found an overall Nm carriage rate of 18.1%, with rates of 18.2% in children under 5 and 23.5% in children 5-15 years old. This was considered a high carriage rate even during the non-seasonal period, and children 5-15 years had a higher rate than those under 5. The results provide information on Nm transmission that can help control meningococcal epidemics in Sudan.

MERS - The new biological satan
MERS is a viral respiratory illness caused by a beta coronavirus called MERS-CoV. It was first reported in Saudi Arabia in 2012 and has since spread to several other countries. Research has found that the virus transmits between humans and dromedary camels. Camels are believed to be the main animal reservoir for MERS-CoV. With millions of pilgrims expected to visit Mecca and Medina for Hajj, there are concerns about the potential spread of MERS during this pilgrimage and measures are being taken to help prevent transmission. Currently there is no vaccine for MERS.

ABSTRACT- INTRODUCTION- HIV/AIDS pandemic is responsible for the resurgence of Tuberculosis worldwide,
resulting in increased morbidity and mortality. Co-infection with HIV infection leads to difficulty in both the diagnosis
and treatment of Tuberculosis, increased risk of death, treatment failure and relapse.
OBJECTIVE- The present study highlights the correlation of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in HIV positive cases and its
association with CD4 count.
MATERIAL & METHODS- A total of 72 known case of HIV were screened for tuberculosis infection by clinical
examination, radiology & ZN staining.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS- From our study 60 (83.33%) were diagnosed as tuberculosis and 12 (16.67%) were
negative. More common HIV infection in case of male 48 (66.67%). Out of 60 tuberculosis infection 53 (88.33%) were
diagnosed as Pulmonary Tuberculosis and 7 (11.67%) were diagnosed as Extrapulmonary Tuberculosis. The result of
study emphasizes that co-infection of tuberculosis in HIV/AIDS patient is a concern. There is direct correlation between
CD4 counts depletion and Pulmonary Tuberculosis in HIV/AIDS patients.

Abstract
HIV is a virus that causes AIDS. The term in full stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. This virus has led to massive deaths globally with many more people being infected as well as being affected by the effects of the virus. In this paper, we shall describe the virus in depth, showing how it gets into a person's body, its causes and symptoms. We shall also discuss its prevalence and how it has affected people's lives. Most importantly, we shall discuss how a person can be treated after being infected with the virus. Finally, we shall study various preventative measures that can be used against the virus.
HIV Definition
The term HIV means Human Immunodeficiency Virus. This is a virus that makes the immune system of a person weak through destruction of vital cells that fight infection and diseases. To date, there is no existence of a cure in the United States nor in other parts of the world. Nevertheless, it is easy to prevent HIV infection through varying control measures. . Depending on different factors, some people are more prone to getting infected than others. Such factors include risky sexual behaviors, sex partners and environment (CDC, 2018).HIV is to a large extent spread through unsafe sex, blood contamination, needles, breastfeeding, and delivery and from a mother to her child during pregnancy.
AIDS Definition
Unlike HIV that is a virus, AIDS is a full-blown disease caused by HIV virus. Once a person's immune system becomes extremely weak, then he\she is said to have AIDS. At this moment, a person's immune system is not able to fight diseases or infection. There are certain illnesses and symptoms that develop as a result of a person contracting AIDS. This can also be described as the last HIV stage since at this moment the infection is highly advanced. If the symptoms of this disease are not controlled or treated, a person ends up losing life (Avert, 2017).
How a Person Get Infected with HIV and HIV Life-cycle
HIV attacks T- helper cells which are also known as CD4 cells. This are some forms of white cells. A person is able to have a strong immune system through CD4 cells being healthy because it's the only way they can be able to fight infections and diseases. It is not possible for HIV to reproduce or grow without being in T-helper cells. HIV makes many copies or reproduces while inside these cells. As a result of the reproduction, the immune system gets damaged which causes it to weak a person's natural immune system. The overall health of a person is the main determinant of how the HIV virus grows. Other determinants of HIV growth is how constant a person takes treatment and how early a person gets diagonalzed. 2) Saliva and blood samples were collected from 100 confirmed HIV-positive patients and 100 healthy controls.
3) ELISA tests found HIV antibodies in 99% of saliva samples and 100% of blood samples from HIV-positive patients. The tests found no HIV antibodies in samples from healthy controls, showing the tests were 100% specific.
4) The results demonstrate saliva can accurately detect HIV antibodies and is as effective as blood testing, but is less invasive making it preferable for testing.

The researchers found that over 50% of CSCs are derived from BM. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).

- 3. Abstract: Aids is a syndrome in which the body undergoes the loss of cellular immunity which lower the body’s ability to fight against disease. The cause of AIDS is a retrovirus called Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV). The symptoms of AIDS usually start from 3-6 weeks and are mild symptoms like fever, rash, swollen glands, and body ache which are followed by characteristic AIDS symptoms which may appear within 10 years of infection. In world till 2017 genome sequencing of the virus, subtyping of the virus, recombinant forms of the virus has been deeply discovered and studied which helps in better diagnosis and in choosing the strategies for treatment. The objective of this review is to cover the status of aids in Pakistan in comparison of the world. We have discussed the prevalence of AIDS in Pakistan, subtypes of AIDS in world and in Pakistan, symptoms, life cycle, infectious stages of HIV, treatment centres of HIV Pakistan, antiretroviral therapies, diagnostic tests for AIDS and the opportunistic infections. In Pakistan till now there in not very much work on the genome sequencing of the virus and subtyping. There should be advancements made in the field of bioinformatics to control the epidemic of AIDS in Pakistan.

- 8. In Pakistan: In Pakistan till 2006 no data about subtypes of HIV was available.(Khan et al., 2006) But now till 2017 a number of HIV subtypes have been identified in Pakistan. HIV 1 is major cause of AIDS in Pakistan including the subtype A J C G K H D B F1 F2. The subsubtypes of A subtype include A1 A2 A3 and A4. (Chen et al., 2016)
