2. Coronavirus is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered type of
coronavirus. This new virus and the disease it caused was unknown before the start of the
outbreak in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. COVID-19 is now a pandemic that has
occurred in many countries around the world. We know that COVID-19 cases are already
prevalent in this world. COVID-19 has already killed many people and 7 million cases,
confirmed by WHO. With the prevalence of COVID-19, many countries have set a lock
down.
I. Coronavirus Origin
Until now no one knows the true origin of coronavirus, so there were opinions from
the experts.
“This disease outbreak which started from a local seafood market has grown substantially to
infect 2,761 people in China, is associated with 80 deaths and has led to the infection of
33 people in 10 additional countries as of 26 January 2020”

“Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) emerged in 2002 to 2003 in southern China. The
origin of its etiological agent, the SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoVs), remains elusive. Here
we report that species of bats are a natural host of coronaviruses closely related to those
responsible for the SARS outbreak. These viruses, termed SARS-like coronaviruses (SL-
CoV), display greater genetic variation than SARS-CoV isolated from humans or from civets.
The human and civet isolates of SARS-CoV nestle phylogenetically within the spectrum of
SL-CoVs, indicating that the virus responsible for the SARS outbreak was a member of this
coronavirus group.”

3. Many also said that the corona virus from the Wuhan laboratory was leaking. The people who
talked about it were the President of the United States, Donald Trump and the prime ministers
of the United States, even officials of other countries. But that wasn't necessarily true and
there was no solid evidence, so Wang Yanyi as the Wuhan Lab official finally spoke.
“The Corona virus story originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology is fabricated. Our
institution did not know, research or store this virus before. Our team was only given a
sample of December 30, 2019. After researching they said this was a new Corona virus. The
fact is, like others "We don't know the existence of this virus. How can it be said that it
leaked from the lab if we never have? Our research is to trace the source of SARS. The
SARS-CoV-2 genome is only 80 percent the same as SARS. So it's clearly different. Maybe
this Corona Virus came from wild animals, but we don't yet know what viruses wild animals
can carry around the world and anywhere that is similar to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.”

II. About coronavirus and the initial impact of the coronavirus according to experts.
According to many experts, the symptoms of the corona virus are very similar to colds so it's
very important to know.
“Symptoms currently reported for patients with COVID-19 include mild to severe respiratory
illness, fever, coughing, and shortness of breath. The most important thing to do if you think
you might be infected with the corona virus is stay at home and away from others. Isolating
voluntary homes is the first and most important step"

“Sore throat and fatigue are also included in the symptoms of the corona virus. But the
symptoms differ from patient to patient. One thing is certain: because allergies and colds tend
to increase when we enter spring, it is important not to interpret the symptoms of benign
colds as corona viruses.”

4. Lots of people say that special masks are very important for doctors to treat coronavirus. You
may have seen professional respirator masks, known as N95 masks, everywhere.

useful for the public”

“Based on current available information, we can't say surgical masks add any additional
benefit in the prevention of acquiring 2019 novel coronavirus,”
(Romero, 2020)
There are some experts who also suggest that this corona virus is not really deadly. Even if
you are diagnosed with novel coronavirus, it's very unlikely that you'll die, experts say. As of
March 12, some scientists say the death rate of coronavirus may be closer to 1% it's a
difficult number to assess when many people may be contracting mild forms of the virus and
recovering without being tested. Scientific American reported on March 10 that one of the
main reasons that Italy has had such a high mortality rate is its aging population; a high
proportion of patients who died were in their 80s or 90s.
“It's also not likely at all that young people who contract the disease will die of it. For those
under 50 years old, the mortality rate is 0.2% and possibly lower"

III. When does coronavirus end according to expert
One effort that can be done is social distancing. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) define social distancing as staying outside of gatherings, avoiding mass gatherings,
and keeping distance from others if possible. You keep your distance from others 2 meters.
