This document summarizes a study on the consolidated heat energy generated from diesel and biodiesel fuels in a four-stroke diesel engine. The study measured various heat energy outputs including the heat energy available from fuel burnt, heat energy equivalent to brake power output, heat lost to engine cooling water and exhaust gases, and unaccounted heat losses. Experimental testing was conducted on the engine using jatropha biodiesel blends and pure diesel. Test results show that while brake power outputs were similar between fuels, biodiesel blends had lower heat energy available from fuel and higher overall heat losses compared to pure diesel.

The compression ratio is a factor that influences the performance characteristics of internal combustion engines.
This work is an experimental investigation of the influence of the compression ratio on the brake power, brake
thermal efficiency, brake mean effective pressure and specific fuel consumption of the Kirloskar variable
compression ratio duel fuel engine. Compression Ratios of 14, 15, 16 and 18 and engine loads of 3kg to 12 kg,
in increments of 3kg, were utilized for Diesel.
The present paper describes some results of research in the area of twin spark ignition engine. The potential of dual plug spark ignition engine is assessed by studying its performance and emission characteristics relative to that of single plug ignition engine using gasoline as fuel at different ignition timings. A new dual ignition engine has been developed by introducing two spark plugs at suitable locations. Experiments were conducted at different load conditions and three different ignition timings. The results have shown that performance of dual plug engine is comparatively better than the conventional single plug ignition engine under all three ignition timings. The results have shown considerable performance improvement in power output and thermal efficiency, as well as reduction in BSFC, HC, and CO emission in dual plug mode of operation.

One of the best methods to improve the engine performance and reduce the exhaust emission in a SI engine is by using introduction of twin spark into the combustion chamber. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of twin spark using CNG fuel in SI engine. The performance and emission analysis of an engine are investigated by experiment with CNG kit and gas analyzer. From this study the fuel consumption is reduce in twin spark arrangement for the same power output as compare to single spark using both of the fuel gasoline as well as CNG. Engine emission is considerably reduced using twin spark plug.

Among the alternative fuels, biodiesel and its blends
are considered suitable and the most promising fuel for diesel
engine. The properties of biodiesel are found similar to that of
diesel. Many researchers have experimentally evaluated the
performance characteristics of conventional diesel engines
fuelled by biodiesel and its blends. However, experiments require
enormous effort, money and time. Hence, a cycle simulation
model incorporating a thermodynamic based single zone
combustion model is developed to predict the performance of
diesel engine. A comprehensive computer code using “C”
language was developed for compression ignition (C.I) engine.
Combustion characteristics such as cylinder pressure, heat
release, heat transfer and performance characteristics such as
work done, brake power and brake thermal efficiency (BTE) were
analyzed. On the basis of first law of thermodynamics the
properties at each degree crank angle was calculated. The
simulated combustion and performance characteristics are found
satisfactory with the experimental results

This paper describes the effect of combustion air pre- heating in Diesel fired heat Treatment Furnace. The main
heat treatment processes are Normalizing, Tempering, Hardening, Annealing, Solution Annealing and Stress
Relieving. The emission of carbon monoxide is measured with combustion air pre-heating and without preheating.
The results are then compared and it is found that the emission of CO is reduced by 29.12%. With the
Combustion air pre-heating a considerable reduction in Specific Furnace Fuel Consumption (SFFC) is obtained.
The test was caaried out at Peekay Steels Casting (P) ltd, Nallalam, Calicut.

rejection (LHR) combustion chamber with ceramic coated cylinder head [ceramic coating of
thickness 500 microns was done on inside portion of cylinder head] with different operating
conditions [normal temperature and pre–heated temperature] of waste fried vegetable oil based
biodiesel with varied injector opening pressure and injection timing. Conventional engine (CE)
showed deteriorated performance, while engine with LHR combustion chamber showed improved
performance with biodiesel operation at manufacturer’s recommended injection timing of 27o bTDC
(before top dead center) and injector opening pressure of 190 bar. The optimum injection timing was
31o bTDC for CE while it was 30o bTDC with engine with LHR combustion chamber with biodiesel
operation. Smoke levels decreased, while nitrogen oxide levels increased with engine with LHR
combustion chamber its optimized injection timing in comparison with pure diesel operation on CE.

The serious environmental pollution and the energy crisis all over the world has caused for
development of the lower pollution and lower energy consumption automobile to become major research goal.
With huge back ground, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is projected as the best alternative fuel for the country
like India. The properties of CNG make it an ideal fuel for direct use in spark ignition engines. Conversion of
any existing spark ignition engine to operate on natural gas is relatively simple with available equipment. Many
spark ignition engine vehicles are successfully operating in major cities of India with CNG fuel. However CNG
cannot be used as a fuel in diesel engines with ease. Since the maximum engines at present run on diesel, it will
be very much useful if a solution could be found to alter the existing diesel engine with minimum modifications
to run on CNG. Several researchers could attempt to run diesel engines with CNG. In the process three methods
were reported to be successful to use CNG as a fuel in diesel engines, they are (i) Spark ignited gas mode (ii)
Direct injection of CNG in dual fuel mode and (iii) Premixed CNG dual fuel mode. In the present work a
premixed dual fuel engine was developed which can perform well for the entire range of load and experiments
are carried out by varying the pilot fuel amount and studied the effect of pilot fuel amount on engine
performance and emissions characteristics and determined optimum fuel injection quantity for better
performance and lower emissions.

The waste management of scrap tyre causes impact on environment due to its non-degradable property. Therefore the recycling of tyre scrap is to be considered for improving the energy conversion from solid waste management. The objective of this project is to investigate the performance and emission characteristics of diesel blended with Tyre Prolysis Oil(TPO) in direct injection(DI) diesel engine. The tyre oil obtained at 713 K through pyrolysis process of waste tyre. The synthesized oil is then processed by desulphurization to reduce the sulphur content and transesterification for blending it with diesel. The various blends of composition 10%TPO and 90% diesel, 20%TPO and 80% diesel is prepared. Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.

CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
