The waste management of scrap tyre causes impact on environment due to its non-degradable property. Therefore the recycling of tyre scrap is to be considered for improving the energy conversion from solid waste management. The objective of this project is to investigate the performance and emission characteristics of diesel blended with Tyre Prolysis Oil(TPO) in direct injection(DI) diesel engine. The tyre oil obtained at 713 K through pyrolysis process of waste tyre. The synthesized oil is then processed by desulphurization to reduce the sulphur content and transesterification for blending it with diesel. The various blends of composition 10%TPO and 90% diesel, 20%TPO and 80% diesel is prepared. Biodiesel is one such alternative source which provides advantage of pollution control. In the present work, experimentation is carried out to study the performance, emission and combustion characteristics of Rice-Bran biodiesel and diesel. In this experiment a multi cylinder, four stroke, naturally aspired, direct injection, water cooled, eddy current dynamometer, TATA Indica V2 diesel engine is used at variable speed condition. Crude oil is converted into biodiesel and characterization has been done. The experiment is conducted at variable speed condition. The engine performance parameters studied were brake power, brake specific fuel consumption, brake thermal efficiency. The emission characteristics studied are CO, CO2, UBHC, mean gas temperature, exhaust gas temperature and smoke opacity. The combustion characteristics studied are cylinder pressure, mass fraction burned, net heat release rate, cumulative heat release rate and rate of pressure rise. These results are compared to those of pure diesel. These results are again compared to the corresponding results of the diesel. From the graph it has been observed that, there is a reduction in performance, combustion characteristics and emission characteristics compared to the diesel. This is mainly due to lower calorific value, higher viscosity, lower mean gas temperature and delayed combustion process. The present experimental results show that Rice-Bran biodiesel can be used as an alternative fuel in diesel engine.

The power developed by an internal-combustion
engine depends upon the fuel used for combustion. Fuels
commonly used in internal combustion engines are derived
from crude oil, which are depleting and are important
sources of air pollution. In this study, n-butanol was used
as an additive with gasoline as fuel in spark ignition engine.
N-butanol exhibits good burning characteristics, contain
oxygen, reduces some exhaust emissions and as well, has
energy density and octane rating close to that of gasoline.
The various blend rates (4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 percent by
volume) were used in the engine performance analysis
using a TD110-115 single cylinder, four-stroke air-cooled
spark ignition engine test rig, under different loading
conditions. An SV-5Q automobile exhausts gas analyzer
was used to measure the concentration of gaseous emissions
such as unburnt hydrocarbon (UHC), carbon monoxide
(CO), and carbon dioxide (CO2
) from the engine tail pipe.
The results of engine performance showed reduction in the
exhaust temperature was observed for the blends than to
that of gasoline. It was observed that all the blends
improved the brake thermal efficiency and exhibited high
fuel consumption, lower specific energy consumption and
lower emissions than gasoline. All the blends performed
satisfactorily on spark-ignition engine without engine
modification.

twin cylinder diesel engine that are using Methanol & compared to usage of ordinary diesel that are
available in the market. This report describes the setups and the procedures for the experiment which
is to analyze the emission characteristics and fuel consumption of diesel engine due to usage of the
both fuels. Detail studies about the experimental setup and components have been done before the
experiment started. Data that are required for the analysis is observed from the experiments.
Calculations and analysis have been done after all the required data needed for the thesis is obtained.
The experiment used diesel engine with no load which means no load exerted on it. A four stroke Twin
cylinder diesel engine was adopted to study the brake thermal efficiency, brake specific energy
consumption, and emissions at zero load & full load with the fuel of methanol. In this study, the diesel

The present work was conducted on a 1-cylinder, 4S, DI CI engine, on which neat diesel, neem biodiesel and polanga biodiesel and ethanol fuel were tested by varying the load on the engine setup at various blend ratios such as - diesel fuel 100 D100 , biodiesel neem 100 N100 , biodiesel polanga 50 blended with diesel 50 P50 , and ethanol 5 blended with diesel 95 E5 .The research carried was to compare the performance-emission characteristics of various blend samples w.r.t neat diesel fuel. The performance results show that, the BTE of N100, P50 fuel blends was less than E5 blend, as compared to neat diesel, whereas, the BSFC of D100, E5 blend had a decreasing nature than N100 and P50 blend. The CO emissions among the biofuel blends was maximum for N100 and then P50 blend but the least was for E5 blend w.r.t neat diesel. Also, the UHC emission for N100, P50 and E5 blends had a decreasing trend than neat diesel fuel. The D100 fuel had a maximum NOx emission in comparison to others and the least was by E5 blend. The CO2 emission of N100 and D100 was the highest than P50 and E5 blends during the operation. The unused O2for N100 fuel was the least than other fuel samples and the maximum was for E5 blend. The biofuel blends being used here had an effective outcome which can be utilised as an substitute for neat diesel. Towards the effort of reducing the dependency on petroleum fuel, one of the solutions is to use gaseous fuel as a partial supplement of liquid petrol fuel. In this experiment, four cylinder SI engine was tested with petrol as a fuel and petrol with partial substitution of biogas as fuel. Different percentages of biogas substitution in petrol were tested like B10 (90% Petrol +10% biogas), B20(80% Petrol +20% Biogas), B40(60%Petrol +40% Biogas). Test was conducted to study and compare the performance, emission and combustion characteristic of the engine for both the modes of engine operation. Biogas production was carried out using kitchen waste as a feedstock. Results clearly revealed that performance of the engine improved with the increases in amount of the gas substitution. Bsfc and brake thermal efficiency were found to improve. However emissions increased with the increases in the amount of gas substitution.

Engine oil has become a very useful and versatile material with a wide range of application. In the past 60 years, the automotive and industry sector is developing on a large scale and there productivity is raising up exponentially. Parallel to the growth of these sectors the demand of engine oil and high viscous lubricants are increasing which leads to the problem of pollution worldwide due to its slow decomposing behavior and toxic impacts on environment.
Researches are going on to recycle the waste engine oil and produce diesel like fuels with different processes. This Research covers the production of diesel like fuel from waste engine oil by doing pyrolysis and testing it in CI engine to check and compare the engine performance.
It is also seen that from 1 kg of waste high density engine oil, about 750ml of fuel can be produced. And, the produced fuel can be used for domestic purpose, in automotive field, and in industries also. This fuel produced by pyrolysis of waste engine oil is suitable to use in a diesel engine partially or completely.

Abstract In this study, for the first time, a nanoceramic Al2O3 was used as a coating material in the low heat rejection engine concept. Experiments were conducted on single cylinder, four stroke, water cooled, and direct injection diesel engine. First, the engine was tested at different load conditions without coating. Then, combustion chamber surfaces cylinder head, cylinder liner, valves, and piston crown face were coated with nanoceramic material of Al2O3 using plasma spray method. Comparative evaluation on performance and combustion characteristics using diesel, multi-blend biodiesel and its blends was studied in the ceramic coated and uncoated engines under the same running conditions. An increase in engine power, brake thermal efficiency and a decrease in specific fuel consumption were observed in the ceramic coated engine compared to that of normal engine. Diesel is a fossil fuel that is getting depleted at a fast rate. So an alternative fuel is
necessary and a need of the hour. simarouba oil, which is cultivated in India at large scales, has a
high potential to become an alternative fuel to replace diesel fuel. Direct use of simarouba oil cannot
be done, as its viscosity is more than the diesel fuel, and hence affects the combustion characteristics.
The simarouba oil is esterified to reduce the viscosity and it is blended with diesel on volume basis in
different proportions. The use of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) to increase the combustion
temperature in diesel engines has been pursued for over 20 years. Increased combustion temperature
can increase the efficiency of the engine, decrease. However, TBCs have not yet met with wide success
in diesel engine applications because of various problems associated with the thermo-mechanical
properties of the coating materials. Although, the in-cylinder temperatures that can be achieved by the
application of ceramic coatings can be as high as 850-9000C compared to current temperatures of
650-7000C. The increase in the in-cylinder temperatures helped in better release of energy in the case
of biodiesel fuels thereby reducing emissions at, almost the same performance as the diesel fuel. Here

Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...ijtsrd
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. The COVID 19 pandemic has highlighted the crucial need of preventive measures, with widespread use of face masks being a key method for slowing the viruss spread. ABSTRACT
The waste management of scrap tyre causes impact on
environment due to its non-degradable property.
Therefore the recycling of tyre scrap is to be
considered for improving the energy conversion from
solid waste management. The objective of this project
is to investigate the performance and emission
characteristics of diesel blended with Tyre Prolysis
Oil(TPO) in direct injection(DI) diesel engine. The
tyre oil obtained at 713 K through pyrolysis process
of waste tyre. The synthesized oil is then processed by
desulphurization to reduce the sulphur content and
transesterification for blending it with diesel. The
various blends of composition 10%TPO and 90%
diesel, 20%TPO and 80% diesel is prepared. Through
these blends the improvement of performance and
emission characteristics such as NOX, CO2, HC were
identified and compared with conventional diesel fuel.

Day-to-day, the fuel economy of engines is getting
improved and will continue to improve. However, the
enormous increase in number of vehicles has been
meeting the current demand for fuel. Gasoline and
Diesel will become scarce and more costly in the
future. With the increased use and depletion of fossil
fuels, alternative fuel technology will become in the
coming decades. By motivating the development of
alternate fuels for the IC engine is the concern over
the emission problems of gasoline and diesel engines.

3. PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
Nowadays, the cost of fuel is increased due to
increase in demand of fuel and hence it is
important to reduce the cost.
The emissions of NOx, HC, CO, CO2, etc
causes environmental pollution.
The viscosity of the fuel used is high.
There is an incomplete combustion of fuel in
the engine.
4. EXTRACTION OF OIL FROM PYROLYSIS
SET UP
The waste tyre is cut into small pieces. It is
then washed with water to remove dust and
impurities. The wet tyre is then dried to
remove water content.
After 20 minutes vapour is starts produced at
the temperture of 370°C. The water supply is
provided to condenser in the cross flow
direction. The water starts to condense the hot
vapour into liquid(TPO) at 440°C.
The oil is collected in the separate chamber
and total yield from 2 kg of waste tyre is about
820 ml. The pyrolysis set up is shown in figure
4.1below.

4.1. DESULPHURIZATION
Desulphurization is a chemical process to
remove the sulphur from a liquid. TPO of 750
ml is heated at 60°C for 20 minutes in an
electric heater.
Sulphuric acid (H2SO4) of 150 ml is added to
the heated TPO and stirred continuously. After
3 hours it is then allowed to cool.
After 48 hours the sulphur and impurities are
precipitated in the bottom layer. The top layer
is the required TPO and the yield is about 620
ml.
4.2 TRANSESTERIFICATION
The process of exchanging the organic group
of an ester with an organic group of alcohol
often catalyzed by the addition of acid or base
catalyst.
A mixture of KOH (1.4g) and methanol
(240ml) is prepared.
The TPO (520ml) is heated around 333 K for
20 minutes in magnetic stirrer.
After 20 minutes, 104 ml of methanol and
KOH mixture is added to TPO.
Maintain temperature at 333 K for one hour
and allow it to cool.
The processed oil is kept for 48 hours in room
temperature without any disturbances.
The biodiesel (ester) obtained at top layer and
the glycerol obtained at bottom layer.

8. CONCLUSION
The objective of this project is to improve the
performance and emission characteristics and the
better results were observed in fuel blend B20 than
B10 through this experiment.
In comparison of performance characteristics
between diesel and fuel blend B20, the fuel blend
B20 has maximum çmechanical of
(70.48%),çoverall(43.7%),çthermal(61.95%) is
greater than diesel performance and also the total
fuel consumption B20 is lesser than the diesel.
The increase in performance of B20 over diesel is
about çmechanical(56.17%), çoverall(64.9%),
çthermal(5.44%), BP(65.13%), TFC(5.05%),
SFC(42.37%).
In comparison with emission characteristics
between diesel and B20, the emission is increased
in very low content for B20 than diesel. The
various emissions in B20 are CO - 0.2(% vol),
CO2 - 2.1 (% vol), HC - 18 (ppm vol), NO - 68
(ppm vol). The increase in emission of B20 over
diesel is about CO (0%), CO2 (9.52%), HC

(50%), NO (1.49%).
Though the fuel blend B20 has finite increase in
HC emission and other negligible emission
because of its better performance than diesel, thus
the TPO blended in diesel of composition B20 can
be also used in diesel engines as an alternative by
reducing the HC emissions using some additives.
For better performance and good emission control
fuel blended with the diesel (B20) TPO is
suggested.
