2. It measures the amount of “HETROPHORIA”
for near. (@ 33 cm)
It is based on principle of dissociation of
fusion by dissimilar objects.
3. It is designed in such way that when patient
looks through the eyepiece.
Right eye sees a vertical white ( ) arrow
and horizontal red ( ) arrow.
Left eye sees a vertical and horizontal line of
numbers.
4.
5. Ask patient
White arrow is pointing at which number of
horizontal line.
Red arrow is pointing at which number of
vertical line.
For cyclophoria ask patient to align the red
arrow with the horizontal line of number
6. For cyclophoria, slide the arrow which
overlaps the edge of the chart, until it
appears parallel with the white line above.
Should the arrow record above zero, the
scale indicates the amount of incyclophoria,
or below zero, the amount of
ex-cyclophoria.
7.
8.
9. 1. The test is much more reliable
because patient have to
accommodate to see number clearly.
2. Horizontal, vertical and cyclophorias
can be measured simultaneously
10. 1. The interpupillary distance is not
adjustable.
2. It is purely subjective test.
3. Can not be done in patient with
accommodation deficiency
