3. Research
My research helped me to determine what my audience would like and who my
primary and secondary audience were. My best form of research was the
questionnaire because it helped me understand who my audience were and what they
would like to see which would have helped to make my character design a success. I
used the internet to get ideas off previous medieval designs. The
crusaders were a medieval group or warriors which due to
research I was able to add the cross into my design which
gave my character some actual history and mad the character
more appealing to the customers because the cross is relative
to the design and makes the character more appealing.
I found it hard to come up with questions for my questionnaire
And it made it hard to make it but when it was complete it was
very useful. I could have got more ideas as it took a lot of time to create my character
as I didn’t have much information on medieval characters so it was hard to design it. If
I had researched more I could have made a more life like medieval warrior.
4. Planning
• I was happy that I had made multiple paper designs as when it came to
making the real one I had a wide variety of choice and I could choose the
best one to put into my final design. Making multiple designs allowed me
to take ideas from one design and add them to another so that I could
experiment and have a very detailed and unique design.
• I wasted a lot of time on the paper designs as they took me a long time to
design them although I didn’t use them all which didn’t help my time
management and would not help if it was a serious company as I would
have hit the deadlines in time and the company has to put out a release
date, so I would have to hit the deadlines in order for the company to
release the designs so that the company don’t have to push back the
release dates annoying the customers and potentially losing customers.
5. Time Management
• I think I managed my time very well as I finished my power
points and project on the last day which enabled me to add
the full amount of detail and check over it all so that it was to
the best of my ability. I do not need anymore time to improve
my project as my designs are fully improved as I have had
time to check over my work and look for any mistakes or
potential mistakes. I had enough time to take my time and
ensure it was correct instead of not having enough time and
rushing my project and having lots of mistakes.
6. Technical Qualities
Similarity
• both characters have long
cape-like outfits on as that
was the ordinary warrior
outfit in the medieval.
• Both characters have a clan
banner on their fronts as it
shows the clan or group is in
the heart of the warrior
• Both the characters have
gauntlets on to help with
grip on the sword and for
protection.
• Both characters have swords
which was the weapon of
choice for a warrior in the
medieval times.
Differences
• My design does not
have chainmail on as it
used for stealth so it
has to be quiet and
chainmail is very loud
when trying to move
in it.
• My character does not
have a helmet as my
character is designed
to be quick on his feet
and cannot be
weighed down by a
helmet.
• My character only has
plimsolls on as they're
quite and easy to
move in where as
boots would be hard
to move in and loud.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I'm happy with my work as I think it is neat and detailed as spend a lot of time doing fine
details which made it to be precise. I think it is creative as I made lots of different designs
adding new details each time so that it was the best design I could produce and it was
unique. I would improve my layout of the characters as I could not find a good place to put
the character so that it was not taking all the attention but would still get a lot of it I would .
I like the type of font I used as it gave a sense of medieval writing and relevant and
I don’t like the placement
of my images but I couldn’t
find a place to put them in
which they would
compliment each other. I
think the character is too
big to fit in the section and
that takes the attraction
away from the weapons
which is a big part of my
piece.
I like my design ideas and
how neat they are. I also
like the colours and how
they’re unique but
relevant which would
appeal to the customers
because they don’t want a
stealthy characters in
bright colours as that
wouldn’t make sense.
8. Audience Appeal
My primary audience are
males and males normally
like violence in a game so I
have included weapons to
suggest that violence will
occur in the game which is
appealing to my audience.
My primary audience was aged: 18-35 and male
My secondary audience was aged:30-45 and female (teenagers
mums)
From my survey I did I know that my
audience like medieval games so from I
that I knew I had to create a medieval
character so that it would be most
appealing.
I think my font will appeal to
the customers as it adds to
the effect of the medieval
theme which will appeal to
the customers more.
I think the names of the
character and the weapons
will appeal to my audience
as from the survey I know
that my audience like
unique and creative things
in a game.
10. Feedback 1

they are.

the product?
-- I would have made the placement of your
designs better
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the fonts in your project.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
-- I would have made your font size a little
bigger as it is hard to see what they say.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like colours of the weapons as they're attractive
but still go well with the game genre
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would have made the background a bit lighter as
it hard to find the finer details in the desgins.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that the designs are unique and creative.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I don’t agree that the background should be changed
because the game is about stealth and if you put a
colour such as pink as the background I would make
sense but grey is a dark colour so It makes sense
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would re-arrange and re-size the designs so that they
complimented each other and had an organised placement and
make the character smaller so that it did not take up all the space. I
would also make the font size a little bigger for some of the older
customers that have trouble seeing the smaller text.
