Research
 For research I looked at similar creations to my project
that had a Christmas theme.
 The strengths would be that there were a lot of similar
games but none of them had the same concept as
mine.
 The weaknesses would be the similar creations
required very specific wording to make them appear
which cause this to be delayed.
 I would not want to improve anything that I did.
 This didn’t have a big impact on what the project was
going to be about because I knew what I wanted
before I did this.
Planning
 For the planning I created a mind map with three
different ideas and then I created another mine map
based on my final idea.
 The strengths would be the final idea, I found that this
was well expanded upon.
 The weaknesses would be it took a while to think of
the ideas so I was behind on my work.
 I would not want to improve anything that I did.
 This made a huge impact on what my game was going
to be about.
Time Management
 At first I thought I didn’t manage my time very well, as
I believed I was very far behind but as the days went
by I slowly realised I was just on schedule.
 If I had additional time I would change the house, I
would put higher detail on them and have different
versions of them. I would also make the snow
animation look more gentle as I found it was quite
aggressive.
Technical Qualities
Both of them have presents
going into/out of houses.

Aesthetic Qualities
I think my work looks
decent but it could be
better by going into more
detail with the
background, houses and
the sleigh.
Other things I could
improve would be the
snow, I would make the
snow fall more gentle as I
felt like it was quite
aggressive when it should
be slow and graceful.
The aspects that I like are the
houses I find that they are quite
clean and I added a vignette
effect to give it some shading; I
also like the moon, I gave it that
same effect as the houses to
give it some shading .
The strengths would be the clean
appearances and the sound effects
fit well with the game.
The weaknesses would be the
clunky animation of the sleigh
and the snow
Audience Appeal
This appeals to my
target audience by
making it simple, fun,
colourful and age
appropriate.
There are no specific bits that
appeal to my target
audience.

 What did you like about the product?
 I like the whole layout you’ve created for your game, as
you are able to clearly tell that the game is Christmas
themed. I also like the music you chose and the sound
effect for the Grinch at the end of the game. I think that
your game fits well with your intended audience.
 What improvements could have been made to the
product?
 I don’t think that there is anything major that needs to be
improved. The overall game is very good.

 The animation of the product was very well made and
looked really good.
 The game itself was interesting and is suitable for anyone
of any age.

 It could have been longer and perhaps more complex.

 The product was very detailed such as the clouds, the
presents, the Grinch and the houses.
 The music fits the game, It gives off a xmas vibe.

 I would have made a title screen to draw the audience in.
 I would have made the objective more clear because
there is no indication of what to do.

 What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
 That there is nothing major that needs improving just
little things.
 What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
 I don’t think I need to make it more complex because this
took a lot of time as it is so making it more complex
would take even more time.

 If I had more time I would give it a title
screen and while loading into the
game I would provide a quick set of
instructions of the game and provide
the objective for the game. I would
include these changes because it make
the game more understandable and
easier to grasp.

7. evaluation

  • 3. Research  For research I looked at similar creations to my project that had a Christmas theme.  The strengths would be that there were a lot of similar games but none of them had the same concept as mine.  The weaknesses would be the similar creations required very specific wording to make them appear which cause this to be delayed.  I would not want to improve anything that I did.  This didn’t have a big impact on what the project was going to be about because I knew what I wanted before I did this.
  • 4. Planning  For the planning I created a mind map with three different ideas and then I created another mine map based on my final idea.  The strengths would be the final idea, I found that this was well expanded upon.  The weaknesses would be it took a while to think of the ideas so I was behind on my work.  I would not want to improve anything that I did.  This made a huge impact on what my game was going to be about.
  • 5. Time Management  At first I thought I didn’t manage my time very well, as I believed I was very far behind but as the days went by I slowly realised I was just on schedule.  If I had additional time I would change the house, I would put higher detail on them and have different versions of them. I would also make the snow animation look more gentle as I found it was quite aggressive.
  • 6. Technical Qualities Both of them have presents going into/out of houses. Both of them have snow Both of them have a sleigh Both of them have a moon
  • 7. Aesthetic Qualities I think my work looks decent but it could be better by going into more detail with the background, houses and the sleigh. Other things I could improve would be the snow, I would make the snow fall more gentle as I felt like it was quite aggressive when it should be slow and graceful. The aspects that I like are the houses I find that they are quite clean and I added a vignette effect to give it some shading; I also like the moon, I gave it that same effect as the houses to give it some shading . The strengths would be the clean appearances and the sound effects fit well with the game. The weaknesses would be the clunky animation of the sleigh and the snow
  • 8. Audience Appeal This appeals to my target audience by making it simple, fun, colourful and age appropriate. There are no specific bits that appeal to my target audience.
  • 10. Feedback 1  What did you like about the product?  I like the whole layout you’ve created for your game, as you are able to clearly tell that the game is Christmas themed. I also like the music you chose and the sound effect for the Grinch at the end of the game. I think that your game fits well with your intended audience.  What improvements could have been made to the product?  I don’t think that there is anything major that needs to be improved. The overall game is very good.

Feedback 2  What did you like about the product?  The animation of the product was very well made and looked really good.  The game itself was interesting and is suitable for anyone of any age.  What improvements could have been made to the product?  It could have been longer and perhaps more complex.

Feedback 3  What did you like about the product?  The product was very detailed such as the clouds, the presents, the Grinch and the houses.  The music fits the game, It gives off a xmas vibe.  What improvements could have been made to the product?  I would have made a title screen to draw the audience in.  I would have made the objective more clear because there is no indication of what to do.

Peer Feedback Summary  What do you agree with from your peer feedback?  That there is nothing major that needs improving just little things.  What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?  I don’t think I need to make it more complex because this took a lot of time as it is so making it more complex would take even more time.

Peer Feedback Summary  If I had more time I would give it a title screen and while loading into the game I would provide a quick set of instructions of the game and provide the objective for the game. I would include these changes because it make the game more understandable and easier to grasp.
