- The document describes experiments with layout designs for a magazine cover and double page spread.
- For the cover, the designer cropped an image of a basketball player and placed it behind the title to make it look more exciting. They also liked using white lines between words.
- For the double page spread, the designer masked part of an image in color against a black and white background to highlight that area. They also chose a bold font that fit the article and used the team's colors in the color scheme.
- Elements the designer wants to include in their final product are cropping an image behind the title, using white between words, highlighting part of an image in color against black and white, and featuring a bold
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
2. Front Cover Process
• My front cover was quite simple
as I wanted something
minimalistic yet slick-looking.
There wasn’t too much to it apart
from some masking and cropping.
I got this photo of Zach Lavine
from other places and cropped
out his surroundings. This made it
so I can move him around to
anywhere without worrying about
an audience as my background
and could instead use an off black
background. I also wanted to use
simple and dull colours as it
creates good practice for what
schemes work when I go onto to
my real project.
3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you include in
your final product?
• My favourite area of this experiment was the cropped Zach Lavine photo
which covers the B on the title. I think it looks good and gives the cover
something extra, like it isn’t just a normal title but it has an actual
basketball on it as the B, making it look more exciting. This idea of putting
the title behind rather than keeping it at the front adds a nice aesthetic to
the cover that I would like to keep. I also like the little white lines between
each name. The white is clearly visible yet not overpowering and so it
makes for a nice colour on the cover. For my actual cover, I will use white
for all of the words, apart from the title. The cover as a whole is fairly
minimalistic, a design which I like. However for my real project I would
prefer to make it seem a little more complex for a higher mark. As good as
a minimalistic look is, it’s easier to do and so could hurt my grade. Instead
I will use more Photoshop techniques, such as masking, to create a good
looking cover which will be more complex than what I have done so far.
4. Double Page Process
This page was made in a pretty
simple way. I started off with the
background. I masked Steph Curry
and the basketball hoop then
reversed it, highlighting
everything else. Then I put a black
and white filter on it so only him
and the hoop was in colour. This
just adds a neater look to the
double page spread. Next I had to
find a font that worked with the
article. I chose “Headline 2” as it is
a fairly bold font that looks good.
My colour scheme was also quite
simple. It was made up of yellow
and blue as these are the colours
of Golden State Warriors, Steph
Curry’s team.
5. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you include in your
final product?
– My favourite part of the experiment was the background with
parts being in black and white with one part being in colour. I’m
not sure just yet how I will put this into a music magazine,
however I want to try and include it somehow as I am very
pleased with how it looks. I think it adds a highlight on one thing
and makes it seem different than everything else around it,
which is important when making a page dedicated to this one
person or thing. I also like the quotes which as bigger than
everything else as it adds more of a meaning to the interview
and shows in one sentence what the person is like. If I use an
interview on my double page spread this will be easy to do as it
is just picking out one quote from a whole interview.
