This paper presents a method for reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and voltage ripple in grid-connected solar inverters using IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol for distributed interleaving of power converters. By phase-shifting the switching instants of paralleled inverters, the technique allows for harmonic cancellation, resulting in reduced current ripple and increased switching frequencies. Experimental validation demonstrates the effectiveness of this approach, highlighting its potential to optimize performance in high-power applications.
