The document describes the process of designing a magazine spread using Photoshop. First, the background image was adjusted to fit the page and text boxes were created. 2. Process
• First I bought up PowerPoint and started a new document with A4
dimensions.
• Using Google images, I found the striped background and pulled It into
Photoshop – I then adjusted the image to fit the whole page, holding
down shift to retain the clearness of the image.
• I created a cream box with a stroke around it.
• I then downloaded a bold serif font for the masthead. After writing out
the title in black, I placed it inside the cream box and did some text
adjustments.
• I then located a picture of a model on Google images and dragged it into
Photoshop. Using the wand tool, I cut around the model so just her was
remaining.
• I created another cream box underneath and used a different front with a
similar style to write the sub heading. Using a slimmer font I wrote out
some of the other anchorage and the issue number underneath the
masthead.
• I then added the final touch and added in barcode from Google Images
and the price.

3. Process
• First I bought up PowerPoint and opened a document
with A3 dimension. I then turned it on a 90 degrees
angle.
• I used the ruler tool to figure out where one page began
and the other ended.
• I made a golden border using the rectangle tool all
around the spread.
• For the first page, I copy and pasted loads of poetry for
Microsoft word and found a font off Google that looked
similar to handwriting. I then copy and pasted it into
Photoshop and made it the entire background using the
font I selected earlier.
• I then selected a model and dragged her image into
Photoshop, using the wand tool to cut around her.
• In a bubble font that I downloaded, I wrote out the
headline and also the subheading across the torso of the
model.
• For the second page, I used a professional silver font to
write the main title and put a black boarder around it.
• I used the same font from the front cover for the
subheading and put it below the title.
• I copy and pasted my article from word and placed it the
correct positions
• Finally I added some final touches, the page number and
the sub images.
