This document summarizes the creator's process for developing a game. It describes using the pencil tool to create characters and details because it allowed for precise pixel-level editing. Resizing characters to fit in tunnels caused delays. Adding coins gave the game an objective. While certain elements like the small minions took a long time, the coins were quick to create. Overall the pencil tool facilitated manual editing and the creator is pleased with the final results despite some time-consuming steps.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

2. Process
• this is my background, the way I
created this was with the tool called
pencil. This tool was best for the job
because it meant that I could
individually choose which pixels I
wanted to colour and so made the
creating process much easier. One
major disadvantage with this
beginning stage was the amount of
time that was used on this section.
this was a big downfall because it
meant I had less time for other
things like animating which also
needed a long amount of time. One
major advantage I found with this
section was the detail I could put in
or how little detail I could put in I h
had full control over what I could
make.
3. Process
• This layer was the layer that began the game
off with start game. These colours are good
because they are dark and represent the
game from the start. The tool I used to
create this was the brush tool, this tool was
good because I could cover large surface
area in a short amount of time. This was a
major advantage because I could spend
more parts on other sections.
• One disadvantage I think is that the game
itself doesn’t represent these colours. But I
still think the colours are good.
• The colour for the letters was black, this is
yet again to transfer darkness and horror
into the player. The overall process of this
section was good because like I said it was
quick and easy and didn’t cause a lot of
troube.
4. Process
• In this section of the production
process I added my characters and this
I felt took a while to complete because
I had to rescale my designs down
because they would not fit don the
tunnels. This caused me to re designs
my characters and I am pleased with
the outcome.
• The tools I used to create these was
the pencil tool. This pencil tool helped
me because I could manually change
my characters without any trouble. I
could also tweak my big characters
even though they where staying above
ground.
• I also added clouds at the top this adds
more depth to the game and makes it
more visually enjoyable.
5. Process
• In this section I added my minions that try
to catch the ghosts. These where really hard
to create because I had to make them small
after them being much bigger. This process
took along time so I lost valuable time to
animate.
• The tools I used to create this was the pencil
tool again. This is again because I find that it
is the easiest way to create my characters.
• I didn’t like this section because it did take
while but I love how I did create them and
come up with the idea of them crawling in
the tunnel. I also added more detail to the
clouds just to give them extra oomph to the
clouds.
6. Process
• For my final process I added some gold
coins, this is because I wanted to give
the ghosts an objective instead of just
running about. This is good because it
gives the game a purpose. The creating
of the gold coins did not take very long
which is good because if it had taken
any longer I would of rarely had any
free time to animate.
• The tools I used to create these coins
was again the pencil tool, this tool is
the only main tool I used and I am very
happy with the end results. I also tried
to add some different colours to the
coin just to give them more detail but
it is hard when they are only a couple
of pixels wide.
