Audience Profile
• My target audience is both genders aged
between 15-24 (teenage to young adults).
This is because this demographic has the
highest quantity of people who are gamers.
Making my game for this demographic is
most likely to be successful as there is a
higher quantity of people who would be
willing to play and give it a go.
• My target audience is for both men and
women (non gender specific). As there is
only under a 10% difference in which gender
plays game more ( non binary gender is not
identified in the survey). As there is little
difference in which gender plays more,
appealing to both genders allows more
people to enjoy the game. With wanting to
target both genders I decided no to use only
stereotypical colour pallets.
Style sheet
These pictures that I have chosen majority have a set colour
pallet used(e.g. red, blue and purple, etc.). I chose to include
this in my style sheet because when creating my video game I
want each of the levels to have a set colour scheme, until the
game is finished and all the colours are distributed to look
natural (concept in my proposal). I wanted this style to
appear in my video game because to make my game visually
appealing for both genders I chose to not to make a game
with one stereotypical theme or stereotypical colours for one
gender over the other.
The art styles from the images are both a blocky and hand
drawn styles. I want to merge these styles, so the character
walks, runs, jumps and explores on blocky platforms and
terrains. While the background will have layered, drawn
backgrounds. I chose to make my game look this way
because when asking a few of my class makes and family
(aged in my demographic), they said that the style look
visually appealing and interesting to play. I also liked the
contrast of art styles put together as it allows me to be more
creative with different tones, details and shading that I would
not be able to do with just one style.

How would I make them?-
To make sound effects for my video
game I can collect them myself, use a
music creator like beep box or
download sound effects fro websites
like free sound. I would like to make
what ever sound effects I can but for
harder to create sound effects or if I
don’t have the equipment to create
them I am not against downloading
them. This is because I want my video
game animation to look like an actual
game being played and sound effects
would effect its authenticity.

  • 2. Audience Profile • My target audience is both genders aged between 15-24 (teenage to young adults). This is because this demographic has the highest quantity of people who are gamers. Making my game for this demographic is most likely to be successful as there is a higher quantity of people who would be willing to play and give it a go. • My target audience is for both men and women (non gender specific). As there is only under a 10% difference in which gender plays game more ( non binary gender is not identified in the survey). As there is little difference in which gender plays more, appealing to both genders allows more people to enjoy the game. With wanting to target both genders I decided no to use only stereotypical colour pallets.
  • 3. Style sheet These pictures that I have chosen majority have a set colour pallet used(e.g. red, blue and purple, etc.). I chose to include this in my style sheet because when creating my video game I want each of the levels to have a set colour scheme, until the game is finished and all the colours are distributed to look natural (concept in my proposal). I wanted this style to appear in my video game because to make my game visually appealing for both genders I chose to not to make a game with one stereotypical theme or stereotypical colours for one gender over the other. The art styles from the images are both a blocky and hand drawn styles. I want to merge these styles, so the character walks, runs, jumps and explores on blocky platforms and terrains. While the background will have layered, drawn backgrounds. I chose to make my game look this way because when asking a few of my class makes and family (aged in my demographic), they said that the style look visually appealing and interesting to play. I also liked the contrast of art styles put together as it allows me to be more creative with different tones, details and shading that I would not be able to do with just one style.

Sound Effects/Dialogue Sound Effects Collecting items jumping Background music character getting hurt Complete puzzle/ quest sound Depending on terrain when running the sound of grass or stone etc. (Eco's). Harming monster Swinging weapons How would I make them?- To make sound effects for my video game I can collect them myself, use a music creator like beep box or download sound effects fro websites like free sound. I would like to make what ever sound effects I can but for harder to create sound effects or if I don’t have the equipment to create them I am not against downloading them. This is because I want my video game animation to look like an actual game being played and sound effects would effect its authenticity.
