2. Initial Reaction
• I am feeling confident with this project, as I have already
had experience not just from the experiments, but also
from LVL 2 Media. I also have a good grasp on the software
I will be using, both Photoshop and Premier, as I have used
them both in past projects. I think I could create a whole
number of different ideas, I would like to create something
different from my experiments and maybe make the
gameplay more advanced, giving multiple options to the
player and offering them different choices throughout the
game. I also think I could add / be more creative to the
backgrounds and setting of my game, which is something I
plan on focusing on a lot throughout this project. Overall, I
think I could come out with a good quality project, thanks
to the experience I have had from LVL 2 media and creating
the experiments.

7. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• The colours are very similar, as the images themselves are very
similar. They all follow the same theme, abandoned locations and
eerie dark houses. The pixelated images are also very similar to the
real images, they are very dark and have a scary theme to them.
One other thing these images have in common is they’re all horror
themed. My game will be horror / adventure themed, and follow a
similar style to the images in my moodboard.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
I will be using very similar colours in my game. I think the colours in my
moodboard are very fitting for an abandoned house setting, which is
why I am going to implement them into my own project. I am also
going to be following the ‘abandoned house’ theme, with broken,
eroded walls in an old house to give the game more of an escape room
/ horror feeling.
8. Schedule
WEEK OVERALL PLAN SPECIFIC TASKS
1 Research, Initial Response,
Audience Research
Look into existing pixelated games and
games with similar styles to mine. I will
be going through and looking for
images with aesthetics that I would like
to apply to my game, e.g. lighting.
2 Production Experiments,
Proposal, Planning
Creating three different games, and
familiarising myself with pixel
animation in Photoshop. Trying out
different styles of animating the pixel
games.
3 Production Spending time working on the setting /
background for my game. Then I will be
working on creating characters and
props for my game, as well as
animating it in the Photoshop timeline.
4 Production After I have finished with my game in
Photoshop, I will be creating a
soundtrack for my game on
BeepBox.com, and adding all kinds of
different sound effects to the game.
5 Evaluation After my game is completely finished
and exported, I will be evaluating my
own project, as well as getting
feedback from others to add to my
evaluation.
