Gujarat Titans unveiled team logo in the Metaverse on
February 20, 2022.
The logo symbolises the franchise's aspirations to achieve
pinnacle of success in the upcoming IPL 2022 edition.
The Gujarat Titans logo was unveiled by Head Coach Ashish
Nehru along with Captain Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill in
the virtual dugout.
The official statement from the Gujarat Titans read that the IPL
team is the first one to embrace the metaverse.
The Gujarat Titans metaverse will be a space where the Titans
and their fans will meet and interact seamlessly.

3. Fifth Fodder Scam Case verdict: Lalu Prasad
Yadav sentenced to 5 years in prison, fined
Rs 60 lakh
A CBI court in Ranchi has sentenced RJD leader and Former Bihar Chief
Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav to 5 years' imprisonment in the fifth fodder
scam case. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 60 lakh on the
political leader.
Lalu Prasad Yadav's son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said after the
court's verdict, "I will not comment on the court verdict.
This is not the last judgment. High Court, Supreme court are there.
We've challenged it in the High court and we are hopeful that the
judgment of lower court will change in High Court."
The three-time Chief Minister was found guilty in the fifth fodder scam
case along with 39 others on February 15, 2022.
The fifth fodder scam case involves illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.5 crore
from the Doranda treasury, as part of the fodder scam that took place
in 1995-96, when Lalu Prasad Yadav was Bihar's Chief Minister.

5. Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Goutham Reddy
passes away due to heart attack
Andhra Pradesh Information and Technology and Industries
Minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy passed away in the
morning on February 21, 2022 after suffering a heart attack.
The 50-year-old had returned to Hyderabad from Dubai on
February 20th. He was taken to Apollo Hospitals at Jubilee
Hills after collapsing at his place.

8. 2008 Ahmedabad Blast Case Verdict: Special
Court sentences 38 to death, 11 to life
imprisonment
A special court on February 18, 2022 awarded death sentence to 38 out of the 49
convicts and life imprisonment to 11others in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial bomb
blasts case. This is the highest number of convicts to be sentenced to death in a
single case in India's history.
The court also imposed a fine worth Rs 2.85 lakh on each of the 48 convicts in
7015-pages long order.
The death sentence was awarded to the 38 convicts under IPC Section 302
(murder) and Sections 10 and 16(1) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
A fine worth Rs 25000 was also imposed on each of the 38 convicts for each of
the three offences.
The court awarded life imprisonment to 11 other convicts under IPC Section 302
and UAPA Sections 10 and 16. The 11 convicts were also fined Rs 25000 each.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a virtual summit with Crown
Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE
Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan on
February 18, 2022.
During the summit, both leaders expressed deep satisfaction at
the continuous growth in bilateral relations in all
sectors.
The Prime Minister thanked the UAE leader for taking care of
Indian citizens during Covid crisis.
He highlighted that this year is of extreme importance to both
countries, as UAE will celebrate the 50th year of its establishment
of UAE and India will celebrate its 75th anniversary of freedom.
