Previous knowledge            : Pupils know the name of the fruit

Keywords                      : apple, banana, pineapple, watermelon, orange, mango, strawberry,
                                grape, lemon, star fruit

Learning outcomes             : By the end of this lesson, pupils should be able to
                                   1. name the fruits at least 6 out of 10 fruits from the flash card
                                       shown
                                   2. spell the name of the fruits at least 7 out of 10 from the flash
                                       shown.
                                   3. state the color at least 6 out of 10 from the flash card shown
                                   4. complete the sentences at least 3 out of 5 using word given.
                                   5. rearrange the fruits name at least 5 out of 8.

YEAR 3 ENGLISH LANGUAGE LESSON PLAN Subject : English Language Class : 3A Date : 21 July 2011 (Thursday) Time : 10.30 - 11.30 am (2 periods) Enrolment : 23 pupils (8 males, 15 females) Theme : World of Knowledge Topic : Fruits Focal Skill : Speaking and writing Integrated skills : 2.3.1 Responding to ‘wh’ questions 3.3.1 Read and understand phrases 4.3.1 Complete missing letters in words 4.4.1 Form simple sentences and questions by arranging words. Previous knowledge : Pupils know the name of the fruit Keywords : apple, banana, pineapple, watermelon, orange, mango, strawberry, grape, lemon, star fruit Learning outcomes : By the end of this lesson, pupils should be able to 1. name the fruits at least 6 out of 10 fruits from the flash card shown 2. spell the name of the fruits at least 7 out of 10 from the flash shown. 3. state the color at least 6 out of 10 from the flash card shown 4. complete the sentences at least 3 out of 5 using word given. 5. rearrange the fruits name at least 5 out of 8.
