These products are skateboard decks which have been
designed by the same artist who generally uses 1 or 2
simple block colours and then either the leaf logo using
other sharp colours to make it stand out from the white
background. On the other design there is a clear colour
co-ordination of the avocado and the background and
logo. You can also see that there are some lighting effects
on the design to make everything look into perspective
and not a blocking colour. It also uses a unique font
personalized to the brand.
3. Existing Product
This product is based around clothing so I
picked out a few items which I found
inspiration from. All the products are using
bright lively colours such as the plain yellow
tee has its brand name in bold dark letters
overlaying it making it a sharp design. I also
like the colours black and white because they
are opposites and can be used effectively
when designing something on. Some clothes
tend to have an image on giving it a more
unique design to others. Brands like supreme
are effective as they use exclusive branding
techniques of making limited stock of the
items increasing the value, they also
experiment with many different colours on
there items of clothing to generate again a
more unique design.

This is a website for the skate brand
‘Bronze56k’ which is relatively new in
the fashion and skate scene. On the
website you can see the logo and the
brand art on the homepage. On the
home page there are simple options of
what to look at for example the skate
videos and the shop. This website also
uses a unique branding technique of
making you click on these options to get
to the real website. There is also a use
of lots of bright colour and interesting
3d imagery which draws you in.
5. Existing Product
This product is a ‘Thrasher’ magazine which was
released in the year 1989, it uses pretty much the
same layout as the magazines which are produced
today however there is normally some more
information and competitions listed on the front
cover but this could be because skateboarding was
not as popular in those days. On this magazine I can
see that there is a main image of a skater skating a
pool which is not as much of a popular skate
location nowadays as there are many more parks
about today so the images found on magazines
today might be more of a street skating picture or a
park. I can also see that everything stands out well
from the blue pool and his blue jeans in the
background to the red writing and the red knee
pads he’s wearing which all links very well. Also the
costume is very different to what you’d see today as
skaters nowadays do not wear any pads and it is
highly fashion and trend based constantly changing.
From the cover some of the things which make you
want to buy the product would be firstly where it
says ‘1989 skateboarding is…’ makes you want to
read on and at the top it lists some of the other
articles which are inside.
