• This product is similar to my own idea as it also involves a food review, however it does not use
sound effects but it does have its own intro and outro and does not use a backing track to it. The guy
also talks of the pros and cons of what they bought listing them as they eat. The guy uses a variety
of vocabulary to describe the food and he talks in an informal manner to the audience. He finally
gives the food a review in a stars out of 5 and his own recommendation of weather he would have it
again or that you should try it.

• This product is similar to my own in that it gives recommendations lunchtime
snack foods in Amsterdam. Although it is a video it uses an intro and outro to the
review and there is also a light hearted backing track to give it an enjoyable
mood. They do not use sound effects as there aren’t any obvious places to put
them and I think it seems more professional without. The voiceover us spoken in
a formal manner making it clear to understand what they are talking about. This
appeals to the audience as it gives many different options of foods to get in
Amsterdam and is very informational on where and what prices they are. It also
gives popular snack restaurants to go to when you visit the city.

This product is also similar to my own as it is a kid who goes around chicken shops. He reviews the same order in
each of them he uses fancy vocab to describe the product taste and texture however he talks using London slang
which I think makes it a more of an entertaining watch/listen and I think this gives it a better audience appeal for
the younger ages. It uses a personalized intro and outro which makes it into a more professional show that
people watch. It doesn’t use any sound effect as they are not really needed in a food show. It has a good
audience appeal as it gives you good recommendations of the food that you get from a normal persons view.
5. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched
products have?
All my researched products have intro and outros that are personalized to the show,
they all have clear speech and are spoken in clear ways. They also give detailed
explanations of the products and some use music to back the speaking.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
• On my own product I will be using and intro and outro to introduce the podcast, I will also
have a simple backing track to make it not as boring to listen to for the audience. Finally I will
be sure to make the speech is clear and understandable to my target audience.
