This document discusses the concept of mobile learning and its applicability for Malaysian secondary school education. It notes that 92% of 235 respondents owned handphones, and students' main mobile phone activity is sending SMS. However, current Malaysian education policy prohibits handphones in schools and wireless connectivity is poor. The document proposes a model for mobile learning incorporating push mechanisms like SMS and pull mechanisms like websites. It argues that with careful planning, mobile phones could be implemented in Malaysian schools to increase motivation, interaction and collaboration among students.
