The Impact Of The Roaring 20 s
During the era of the Great Depression, economic downfall committed an end to the great prosperity
of the Roaring 20 s , and farmers continued to spiral deeper into an already formed economic pit. As
prices of crops plummeted during the Roaring 20 s , the era of the depression continued to strain any
hope of economic prosperity for farmers as prices of crops depleted over five times the original value;
farmers continued to lose faith in the already depleted market of agriculture. Though, in order to fully
comprehend the impact the depression imposed upon farmers, understanding the changes of the
proceedings of daily life, hardships faced, effects relating to changes in physical and mental and
financial behaviors, and the disposition of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the form of survival as The Milk Producers Association joined forces with the farmer s Holiday

Introduction I m excited for the next five years because it will be the start of me being able to do what
I want to do instead of having the school and a few people in my family telling me what to do. I m
also looking forward to the challenge to see how many of my goals I have wanted to reach for years
that I can reach. On the other hand, I m also nervous because I will have to figure out how to be more
independent and make more decisions on my own. I am also nervous about making mistakes that
could hurt me for the rest of my life. In order to be able to balance the risk and rewards, I am coming

Ethnography of Performance Essay
Ethnography of Performance
During a musical performance many elements to be looked are not easily recognized by the average
critic. A musical performance has multiple interactions taking place between the music, text,
performers, audience, and space that all can contribute to a great performance. Overwhelming
majority of the audience does not realize so much can be looked at during a single performance. At a
performance by the University of Maryland Marching Band I was able to analyze the Musical Sound,
Contexts of the Performance, and Interpretation of the Performance. When analyzing musical sound
there are many factors to pay attention to during the performance. Important things to listen for are the
pitch, scale, timbre, tone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the performance there were many overtones and one fundamental tone, which deals with the
timbre and tone quality. The overtones produce additional sounds that enable us to distinguish
between different instruments even when they are sounding the same pitch (Kaemmer:60). The tone
quality of the performance was very good. The music sounded evenly distributed and it was very easy
to hear the sounds of the various instruments. The band played two songs and one song had a slow
rhythm and the other had a faster rhythm. Rhythm means more than a basic beat (Kaemmer:65).
During the performance there was a steady rhythm. Also during the performance there was a section
of the song that sounded different and after about ten seconds the song goes back to its previous
sound. That sound was a melody. Melodies are combination of pitches and rhythm patterns that
produce a distinctive line of sound (Kaemmer:62). When the band first began to play the song started
in a low tone and the music began to escalate and it reached a climax where the loudness of the
performance was at its peak. Once at its peak the music began to get softer and lower. This is an
example of a linear form of the performance. Linear form means a performance having a definite
beginning and ending. The overall musical sound of the performance was delightful and pleasing to
the ears. The context of a musical performance is another key part of any

Capitalism And Imperialism
Imperialism is the policy of extending power and dominion of an empire. It is most notably
accomplished through the acquisition of territory or gaining control of foreign political or economic
systems. Capitalism, by nature, is imperialistic. While this system is not driven by nationalism, it does
facilitate competitive rivalry, and it s often distinguished by its usage of economic competition. Wage
workers are hired by competing businesses in an industry, and these businesses strive to outperform
each other. The most effective businesses sustain their dominance in the market by equipping
themselves with the latest tools and tactics to gain increasing amounts of capital. From there, they
continue to efficiently expand their territory to maximize profit and increase market power. Smaller
businesses that do not efficiently grow their profit margin and increase their market share tend to fail
in the shadows of these more powerful businesses.
The natural tendency of capitalism is to spread. Corporations are in constant pursuit to keep gaining
access to new or untouched markets that will grant them the best prices for their products and services.
They often do this by targeting new customer demographics, selling more products, and dispersing
their products or services into new territories. As these corporations infiltrate new markets,
maintaining market power would require that executives also continue to constantly innovate the
framework of their businesses refining and

Athletes And Professional Sports Athletes
Many professional sports athletes historically took steroids to enhance greatly their overall
performance, to furnish them with a reasonable edge against their opposing team. Most of the trained
athletes who took or are trying anabolic steroids, do not grasp the additional complications they are
taking mentally and physically with on themselves. In that respect there comes consequences with
taking steroids, particularly with getting caught, these matters can be a problem for the sports athletes
trustworthiness, short term health problems, personal wellness, wrong case in point for America s
younger generation and America s self image. Consequently for an athlete s overall well being,
engaging in illegal substance should not be his or her ideal priorities. To begin with athletes never
should use steroids for the health and well being of his/her reputation. A great number of athletes
today have been caught using steroids, and their reputations damaged together with imaginable hall of
fame careers ruined. Such as Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Lance Armstrong, Barry Bonds and
Shawne Merriman. Lance Armstrong is a seven times Tour de France cross country cyclist champion
and the most recent superstar to admit to using steroids. He knew he was wrong for using the
substance and said in an interview: It s been well documented. I did not invent the culture, but I did
not try to stop the culture, and that is my mistake, and that is what I have to be sorry for, and that is

age poet, if wasn t for him we all might not be speaking English. The Pardoner s Tale is one of the best
moral stories in the Canterbury Tales. It is also one of Geoffrey Chaucer s most popular stories. It
reinforces that the love of money is the root of all evil. The character, setting, and plot goes together in
the Pardoner s Tale to show that money is the root of all evil. The characters in the story aren t very

but has stuck to its general themes of rebirth, newness, love and acceptance. For instance in the 3rd
issue (2009 2010) the poet Katie Blakely in her poem Dissection, depicts a love story in which the
narrator is speaking to her lover and telling him what exactly she loves about him. She says I really do
love the little things in life, like your voice.. (West 10th, 3 57). Also in the most recent issue this theme
of love is consistent. In the poem Avant le deluge by Shinji Moon, the narrator paints a picture of
lovers experiencing a storm and states that They kissed for the last time, grinning when he opened his

The And Its Effects On Alzheimer s Disease Essay
According to the Alzheimer s Association (AA), more than 5 million Americans are living with
Alzheimer s disease and this number is expected to triple by the year 2050. The AA website states that
Alzheimer s is the 6th leading cause of death in our country with 1 in 3 seniors dying from Alzheimer
s or other types of dementia. Because this disease effects so many people and because its symptoms
are so devastating, scientists are continually searching for the cause of Alzheimer s disease (AD) in
attempt to find treatment or a cure. Some scientists working in this field believe that microbial
infections may be underlying causes of the disease. There are many theories and studies are being
conducted to determine whether bacteria or viruses are playing some role in the development of AD
and other forms of dementia.
To understand how microbes may be involved in AD, we first must look at what physically happens to
the brain with this disease. There are two distinct aspects involved in Alzheimer s disease; beta
amyloid plaques and tau tangles. Beta amyloid plaques are formed when the amyloid precursor protein
(APP) which is present in the membrane of neurons (alz.org) is cleaved off by beta and gamma
secretases (Chen et al., 2001). In a normal brain, alpha secretase does the cleaving and the body
processes APP on its own (Chen, et al., 2001). In AD, the small pieces join to form beta amyloid
plaques but as smaller individual pieces they can interfere with nerve signaling

Exploring Traumatic Brain Injury in Children Essay
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a leading cause of death and disability among children and adolescents
(Yeates, 2005). The Center for Disease and Control (2010) reported an estimated 1.7 million
individuals sustaining TBI annually with 51% of these injuries occurring during periods of cerebral
development. Children (0 4 years), older adolescents (15 19 years) and older adults (65+ years) are
most likely to sustain TBI (CDC, 2010). Brain injuries often lead to severe, pervasive, and potentially
irreversible impairments in one s neurological, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning (e.g.,
Wilde et al, 2012; Yeates, 2005). This analysis will examine the etiology, prevalence, and impact of
traumatic brain injury in the developing brain of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Neuroimaging scans play a cardinal role in TBI diagnosis, prognosis, and deciding what treatments to
give. CT is the preferred method of assessment on admission to determine structural damage and to
detect (developing) intracranial hematomas (Maas, Stocchetti, Bullock, 2008). The preferred test is the
computed tomography (CT) scan due to its speed, accuracy, and accessibility. The magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI) exhibits more details than CT scan. MRI scan can be more advantageous than the CT
scan as it is able to detect other TBI symptoms such as diffuse axonal injury (DAI). Conversely, MRI
is usually not the preferred method in emergency setting due to its inability to detect brain hemorrhage
and fractures, general inaccessibility, and lengthiness of the procedure.
Childhood TBI
Previous studies expressed concern in children s TBI acquisition in their developing brain. Wilde et al
(2012) explains that the neurocognitive and neurobehavioral morbidity is particularly significant with
acquired child brain injury because the injury disrupts the neural maturation and development
(Catroppa et al., 2008). Researchers hypothesized that childhood TBI potentially disrupt the
development of certain brain regions through pathological changes. Beauchamp et al (2011)
conducted a study examining two main structural differences thought to be vulnerable in childhood
TBI: the amygdala and the hippocampus. In this study, the hippocampus and the amygdala were both

Taking a Look at the Space Race
The 20th century was a complex and eventful time period for the Soviet Union. The Union of Soviet
Socialist Republics (also known as the USSR or Soviet Union) survived and advanced through a
century that consisted of revolutions, changes in leadership figures and policies, and events such as
World War II and the Cold War. As this union experienced a period of so much change, there is no
doubt that these events had a variety of large impacts on the history and culture of the Soviet Union.
However, a certain series of events and explorations that also reached a peak during this era often took
a more subtle route of impact on Soviet society and culture. Space exploration in the Soviet Union and
across the world took a huge leap forward toward the end of the 20th century. Namely, the Space Race
between the Soviet Union and the United States of America lasted from the 1950 s to the 1970 s and
engaged the country in an intense competition to the moon. While the Space Race did focus on
achieving greatness in space, a deeper analysis showed that it revolved around the desire to obtain
supremacy in not only the spaceflight sector of the world, but also as a powerhouse nation in general.
The United States and the USSR pushed each other to complete the first to launch into space, send
humans to space, and finally to reach the moon. Ultimately, one of the largest ways that the Space
Race incluenced the culture and people of the Soviet Union happened through the creation of

Comparing Christianity And Islam
Christianity and Islam are both well known and respected religions, whose teachings share many
similarities as well as many differences. First we are going to discuss Christianity and their beliefs.
The word Christians is defined as a follower or disciples of Jesus Christ. According to The Bible,
Jesus Christ was born from Marry, who was a virgin, this was only made possible by the Holy Spirit.
Therefore he was not just man, but he was also God at once. In The Bible it is written in Matthew
1:23, The virgin will be pregnant. She will have a son, and they will name him Immanuel , which
means, God is with us. Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Spirit are three in one, known as the trinity.
Christians believe that God sent Jesus Christ to save ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Angels, which are defined as unseen beings who carry out Gods orders throughout the universe.
Gabriel the angel who came to visit Muhammad is a key figure in Christianity and Islam. We can go
all the way to the beginning, when sin was first developed, when Adam disobeyed God and cursed all
of man with death. Christians and Muslims believe that starting with Adam, God appointed
messengers, or prophets, throughout history to spread God s word and to teach the world about him.
Another thing they agree upon is judgement day and the hereafter life. They believe that when
judgment day comes that God will come back and Judge everyone, humans will be judged for their
actions on earth and be held accountable and those who rejected him will be sent to hell, which brings
me to the Ten Commandments, which are ten moral laws.
Though the Ten Commandments are not specified in the Quran, nine of the Ten Commandments are
quoted throughout the Quran. For example, the first pillar and the first commandment start with there
is only one, God, only worship that God. Another important thing that they have in common is they
both worship the God of Abraham. They both believe in Satan. Though their beliefs share similarities,
they also have differences as

Spiral Of Silence In Animal Farm
Neither a man nor a crowd nor a nation can be trusted to act humanely or to think sanely under the
influence of a great fear(Russel). In the timeless allegory Animal Farm, a power hungry leader instills
fear in a society of animals to manipulate their actions and ultimately consolidate power. These fear
based responses are comparable to those of citizens in today s society who s fear leads to blind
following and a spiral of silence . It s no surprise that fear is often used to ensure there will not be any
questioning of regimes because it is so effective at turning citizens into blind followers. For example,
Squealer questions the animals surely there is no one among you who wants to see Jones come back?

First, Napoleon requests that the hen s eggs must be surrendered and traded for money and the hen s

that citizens are afraid to go against the majority side in fear of isolation or more extreme
consequences (Mass Communication Theory). In this case, the extreme consequence is death, which is
more than enough to keep the animals in check after witnessing this horrifying scene. Moreover, the
spiral is reinforced when the sheep continuously bleat four legs good, two legs bad!(Orwell) . Blind

Effects Of Volunteering On My Life
Volunteering and its effect on my life
Volunteering has deeply embedded life changing experiences in my life. During my experience as a
volunteer, I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer based
organization that constructs, and renovates homes for people who were recently in a natural disaster,
deeply in need, and for people who are in need of a stable place to live without being scared of being

has had an effect on me. In my work as a volunteer, I never knew that what I do for people in need
could have such an effect on me personally, and give me an inside view into less fortunate peoples

Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity has given me a chance to see into others lives and has

loves to volunteer, and loves to feel as if it he or she makes a difference. That is how I felt while I was

The Impact Of Ray Charles On American Culture
The impact that Ray Charles has had on American culture is nearly indescribable. Although unable to
see, he was successful in making his artistic visions come to life by fusing the sounds of blues, gospel,
jazz, and R B, making him one of the leading soul artists of the 1950s. The legendary musician is
recognized for being a pillar in the industry, credited with making strides in desegregating musical
genres. Although he composed many of his early hits, Charles is considered to be an interpreter of
music, offering his distinct personal vision of many classics. Over the course of his career, which
spanned five decades, he recorded over 60 albums and sold millions of records worldwide. Ray
Charles was born on Sept. 23, 1930, in Albany, Georgia, and grew up in Greenville, Florida. At the
young age of five, he began losing his sight, and became completely blind by the time he was seven.
However, this did not hinder Ray Charles at all, as he continued to persevere in developing his
musical talents. One of the most unique aspects of Ray Charles was his unparalleled ability to
crossover different genres of music. He mixed together genres such as blues, jazz, gospel, R B, pop,
and even country. With this integration, he created smash hits such as I Got a Woman, Hit the Road
Jack, and I Can t Stop Loving You. When a listener listens close enough to one of Charles songs,
aspects of the various styles he incorporated can be heard not only through the way the lyrics are

The Effectiveness of Conservation Intervention for Adults with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: A Critical

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is the entrapment of the median nerve caused by compression or

numbness, tingling, hypersensitivity, or burning sensation causing reduced function of the hand.

Research Paper On Costco
The success of a company all falls on the shoulders of good management. If you have great
management the company will run very smoothly. There are so many things that take place when you
have good management. It encourages initiative, encourages innovation, helps with growth and
expansion, improves the life of workers, motivates employees and much more. Without good
management there would be no success.
Costco is the company that I have chosen to write about in this essay. Costco is a membership only
warehouse club that provides a huge merchandise selection. They are the second largest retailer in
United States. Costco had 2.3 million members in 2009 and in the year of 2011 they had four million

Costco s management style is very humble and giving. They have great management for their
employees. Costco gives their employees great health care coverage and a very competitive salary.
They also offer a time of package deal. Sinegal believed that his management should always have a
door open policy. This is where all the managers and executives keep their doors open so that ideas
could be shared and the business could grow. He believed this also made employees feel more
comfortable at the company.
Sinegal also value mistakes. He believed that in the company you had to take risks and if they didn t
work than you have to learn from that and not make the same mistake five times. Sinegal really takes
the time out to engage with his employees and get to know them. He always makes it a point to ask
employees how they feel and to get feedback to improve the company. They get a lot done by learning
from mistakes, treating their employees well and being very giving through salaries and health
benefits.

Analysis Of Hunger Of Memory Richard Rodriguez
This story takes place in old Sacramento, California around the 1950 s. A lot of this excerpt from
Hunger of Memory covers Richard Rodriguez s childhood and how he has become a grown up. He is
the third of two Mexican immigrants in Sacramento and has two sisters and one brother. Rodriguez
shows his youth as unusual, because of to the battle between his private family life and his public life

a part of his home, (qtd. par. 17)... Spanish seemed to me the language of home. (Most days it was

Essay On Iran Nuclear Deal
The Iran Nuclear Deal: Retain or Abolish? Currently, The USA position about Iran nuclear deal has
been one of the most controversial topics in the political and international affairs fields. People are
taking sides about what should be the best decision for the USA government. Should the USA tear up
the deal or stay in it?
During these past days, the news is so focused on the subject Iran, here are some headlines: Scuttling
the Iran deal will lead to another North Korea, how the Iran deal prevents a covert nuclear weapons
program, the sun sets on a good Iran deal. The question is what all these headlines have in common?

As president Trump s reluctance to certify if Iran is following all the requirements, it illustrates that
the deal remains under threat.
First all, the USA administration, president Donald Trump and some his political adviser, are willing
to end up the USA involvement in the JCPOA and the US president claimed that it was the worse
decision. For me, it was one of the most successful deals in the last years because it is preventing Iran
from building nuclear weapons and provide improved transparency. Which means that under a nuclear
agreement, Iran has the obligation to permit the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to
conduct a deep inspection on Iran s nuclear facilities if IAEA requests to do so.
However, If Iran violates the agreement, it will severely punish and all sanctions will come back and
Iran aliens will not be able to reverse the situation or block the sanction applied to Iran such as
economic, political and others that can break the Iran economy. The US government can do nothing to
stop Iran to improve its nuclear weapons. If Iran decided not to make new nuclear weapons, it was
because they decided not to do it.
Some disagree that, the Obama administration is prepared to sign an agreement that will expire in a
mere 10 years time. At this point, any restriction that the deal imposes on Iran would be vanish. Iran s
economy would be free from all nuclear related sanctions and its government would be treated the
same as any other

The Challenges of Taking Dell Private

(That may less of a problem, according to the investor Wilbur L. Ross, who told CNBC on Tuesday
that the company could sell eurodollar bonds, which may avoid incurring a steep tax charge.)
Dell also had almost $5 billion in long term debt as of Nov. 2. That means the newly private company
would be highly indebted, though analysts at the ISI Group and Mizuho point out that the company
has respectable cash flow, generating about $3.7 billion in cash from operations during that time.
The bigger question for the company is whether going private would solve any of the issues it has
faced for years. Its traditional business of making and selling personal computers has become less and
less profitable, and Dell has already been trying to move into the more lucrative and stable market of
providing hardware and software services for corporations. That s not something that requires Dell to
be private, however.
And there s also the question of whether a newly private Dell, forced to spend much of its revenue on
paying down its debt, would have money to invest in its business or pay for new acquisitions. (Last
year alone, the company struck 10 deals, including the $2.4 billion purchase of Quest Software.)
Mr. Ross said on CNBC that he believed the chances of a deal coming together were about 50 50. But
there s still a lot of work and finagling

The Alamo And The Mexican-American War
When looking on these documents, it is obvious to note the similarities with the writing in the early

America was still a pretty recent country and was trying it s hardest to make a name for themself
amonst the other well known countries. In 1867, when the first passage about the Alamo was written,
and in 1840, when the first passage about the Mexican American War was written, it was quite
apparent that the people writing these were not telling the full truth about the two events as it was

Essay on Advertising Fast Food to Children Under The Age...
How much do the fast food companies spend for advertising to children in the United States? In 2009,
The Fast food companies spent over $ 4.2 billion in the fast food industry alone to market on
television, the internet, social media sites, etc (Brownell, 2009). This amount of money demonstrated
that advertising to children is big business for companies, but it affects children directly, who are
innocent of future generations. The purpose of this essay is to convince legislators to consider banning
the advertising of fast food to children under the age of 12 in children s programming. First, I will
briefly describe the definition of fast food and the negative effects of advertising fast food to children

The television advertising targeted at children is harmful. The Journal of the American Medical
Association has said children between ages of two and seventeen watch an annual average of 15,000
to 18,000 hours of television, compared with 12,000 hours spent per year in school (Beacon Press,
2000). This indicates that children watch television for too many hours, so the advertising companies
target children to increase the number of people, watching their programs. We can see from the above
that the fast food industry spends a lot of money to just advertise to children increase their profit. Also,
based on the research of the Food Advertising to Children and Teen Scores, show that the average
preschooler between the ages 2 to 5 see almost three fast food advertisements every day. The children
between the ages 6 to 11 see three and a half advertisements for each day, and teenagers see almost
five advertisements for every day (Yale University s Rudd Center, 2009). In other words, average
children ages 2 to 11 see fast food advertisements approximately 3 times for each day. If children
watch advertisements from television every day, within one year children will have watched fast food
advertisements approximately 2,000 times a year. This is a very serious amount that should cause
concern with our young children.

According to the Department of Health (2003), Cancer Research UK (2010) and the Office of
National Statistics (2004), despite of the drop of statistics of smokers, there are still individuals who
would try smoking especially the young people between the ages of eleven to sixteen. In the report of
the three offices they listed the main reasons why young people smoke and these are experimentation,
to look mature or part of their image, there are older people smokes around them, especially their
parents, and peer pressures (DH, 2003) (ONS, 2004) (CR UK, 2010).
This experimentation can be attributed through social learning theory, where psychologists and
theorists Julian Rotter and Albert Bandura describe it as how we learn from others. Watching others
can provide information on which kind of behaviour leads to what consequences (Adams and
Bromley, 1998). Parents have strong influence among us. If we are surrounded by our family who
smokes, there is a strong possibility that we will imitate them. We also looked at other people such as
our peers, actors and singers. Seeing these people smoking can also lead us to emulate them and try
smoking. Once we learn to smoke, we keep smoking until it will be hard for us to stop.
Another motive in experimentation among the young people came from advertising. One example
from one Tobacco Company which says I am no longer my mother s

The Tactics Of Combat Civil Wars And Instill Peace
The three main tactics used to combat civil wars and instill peace in an area are peacekeeping, peace
enforcement, and counterinsurgency. The first tactic I will address is peacekeeping. Once the two
parties of a conflict have agreed to a truce, peacekeepers will come in to guarantee the implementation
of the truce and try to maintain peace. The duty of peacekeepers is not only [to] monitoring troops, but
also with human rights monitoring, protecting and delivering humanitarian aid, demobilizing and
retraining troops, reforming police forces, protecting civilians, reforming legal systems, assisting in
economic reconstruction, and sometimes administering the entire state until a new government can
take over. In other words, after civil wars, peacekeepers are often charged not only with military
monitoring duties, but with reforming the essential institutions of the state (Peacekeeping, Peace
Enforcement, and UN Reform Lise Morjé Howard, P 1 2). There are three ways that peacekeepers are
able to use their power in order to succeed. These three ways include coercion, inducement, and
persuasion. Coercion involves a display of power, like swagger, to wield off attacks. Troops use
swagger in several scenarios. One of the most common times the use of swagger will occur is during
policing, where troops will patrol the area. Since one of the main doctrines of peacekeeping involves
not using force, this type of coercion has been deemed useful. Even though the majority of the time

Why Youth Do Not Vote
Intro
Youth in industrialized countries currently are more educated than any generation has ever been.
While education levels have risen, the conventional wisdom is that this would cause levels of voter
turnout and party attachment to climb, however, this has not been the case. (Nevitte 1996, 50 51)
Despite the great deal of research on this topic, there is not consensus on the answer to this question.
In these interviews I attempted to look at how different forms of participation were viewed by
members of the LBGTQ+ community, in order to draw some inferences about why youth are less
likely to vote.
Hypothesis
LBGTQ+ students will be less likely to participate in traditional forms of political participation, such
as writing to an MP or becoming active in a Political Party, as a way to address equity issues. Instead
they will be more likely to engage in more grassroots, individual acts of activism.
Case selection
Addressing the question of why youth do not vote is a large task and one that would require much
more than two interviews. I chose to focus down onto the LBGTQ+ community as a most likely case
to find low levels of traditional political involvement and high levels of interpersonal grassroots
activism. Due to social views on being homosexual, gender queer, or transsexual, etc., until quite
recently, the LBGTQ+ community was totally excluded from traditional politics. This total exclusion
from traditional political involvement, means that it is more likely that

Recrystallization Of Organic Chemistry Lab Report

Experiment 4: Recrystallization of Pure Phthalic Acid, Benzoic Acid and Naphthalene
Introduction Section
Recrystallization is a technique frequently used in organic chemistry to purify solid organic
compounds. The goal of this technique is to allow organic compounds to form crystal lattice
structures, and to remove any of the impurities that do not align within this crystal structure.1 The
theory behind recrystallization revolves around entropy; as heat will cause a organic compound to
dissolve (increase in entropy), a decrease in heat will then allow that organic compound to reform
(decrease in entropy) and become purer.2
The recrystallization technique utilizes the ability of a compound to dissolve within a hot solvent and
produce a solution. As this solution cools, the solute reforms without impurities in a crystal lattice
structure.1 For this to work properly, an appropriate solution that will not dissolve the solute at low
temperatures, but will at high temperatures, must be used.1 There is no single solvent that will work
well for every solute s recrystallization; different solvents are better suited for some solutes than
others.2 Some impurities that do not dissolve within the solvent can be filtered out while the solution
is still hot, while other impurities that readily dissolve within the solvent shouldn t recrystallize with
the pure substance (as they are not concentrated enough to

Analysis Of The Jilting Of Granny Weatherall
While reading about character, I actually learned a lot of new terms. Those terms were heroine,
antihero, foil, archetypes, and scapegoat. I also learned that there are many different types of
characters. Characters can be flat, round, dynamic, stock, archetypes, and scapegoat. Although I
learned a lot, I also did know most of the reading about character. I do think this is an effective reading
because it explains facts about characters and gives a checklist for evidence to consider in analyzing a
character. I think that picking out the main character is fairly easy because most readings just focus on
one person, but if you do not know, the checklist this reading provided is very helpful.
The Jilting of Granny Weatherall by Katherine Anne Porter
In this reading the main character, Granny, is easy to pick out. Granny is dying but she refuses to
believe that she is actually dying. On her deathbed she is thinking about keeping the house clean and
orderly. She was also thinking about the love letters that she has in the attic from her ex fiancé, John.
Granny did not want her daughter, Cornelia, to find them. Grannys last thought was that she had been
jilted. Honestly, I did not find this story very interesting because I think it was a boring topic. It is sad
that the Granny dies in the end, but how they organized it was boring. They organized it just like a
normal reading would be. I think it could have been more interesting if they organized it a different
way.

The Functions Of Dna And Protein Synthesis
The Functions of: DNA, RNA and Protein Synthesis
DNA replication:
Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a chain of molecules that hold the genetic code for all living things.
This genetic code is the instructions for growth, hair color, eye color, shapes of the body s structures,
and every little detail that is inside of a living organism (Bhatt). A complete set of genetic instructions
is a genome and every cell has two copies of genomes, one from each parent, making a full
chromosome. DNA is composed of four different types of nucleotides: Adenine ( A ), Guanine ( G ),
Cytosine ( C ), and Thymine ( T ). Thymine is only found in DNA. These four nucleotides come
together in pairs for form nucleic acids. Adenine and Thymine are a pair as Guanine and Cytosine are
a pair. These pairs of nucleotides are glued via hydrogen bonds onto a nitrogenous base forming a
double helix structure. This double helix can grow to be very long, millions, even billions of base
pairs long.
When cells go under mitosis, the DNA in the nucleus must replicate as well. The daughter cells have
the exact same DNA as in its original parent cell. When replication begins, hydrogen bonds that hold
the DNA structure together break, thus unwinding and exposing their nitrogenous bases. Enzymes
called DNA polymerase then come and bring complementary nucleotides to the pairs that were
initially there. One new strand of complementary bases forms with an old one and now you have two
separate completed strands,

Structurally speaking, Book III appears between two climaxes. Book II promises a marriage for the
two lovers but ends up damping their expectations as well as that of the audience all of a sudden when
Madam Cui takes back her word. Book IV begins with the long awaited climactic scene in which
Zhang Sheng and Yingying consummate their love. Put in between these two episodes of dramatic
tension and emotional intensity, Book III may at the surface merely serve as a buffer, that is, a
temporary relief from the breath taking conflicts on the part of the audience. Actually, the dramatic
rhythm at this stage does slow down. As the central character, Hongniang frequently evokes laughter
from the audience with her quick repartee and satirical comments on the pretentious lovers. Apart
from all this, however, by making Hongniang sing all the time and keeping the lovers relatively
reticent they are only heard in dialogues Book III complicates the interrelationships between the three
characters and significantly contributes to the psychological depth of this play. In other words, while
foregrounding Hongniang and exploring the complexity in her motivation, the play also employs her
as a vehicle for the off stage conflicts between Zhang Sheng and Yingying and their inner conflicts,
which are much less spectacular than they are psychological.

ring or a child s crush bringing the other a tootsie roll, love is always being expressed. What is one
way that no matter what your age, or what the mood of your significant other is in, you can look like
the most caring person in the world? A magnificent glass vase filled with freshly plucked, blooming
flowers. A vase full of fresh flowers can really mean a lot to someone who is sick, is having a hard
time, or just needs an exaggerated reminder that they mean the world to you. There is such a deeper
meaning to the vase then you could imagine at first glance. Start with the vase. At first glance, the
only thing an ordinary person would recognize is the flowers that are in the vase. However, someone
with a deeper mind is going to look at every aspect of the gift and pay attention to what else is
important, the vase, the beautiful piece of artwork that brings together a bouquet. Think of all of the
shapes the vase could be. It could be high and skinny, petite and plump, or a combination that is
special to itself. It is just like a person. You see, the unique shape of the vase doesn t go unnoticed. It is
not just a container, it is an elegant transporter of love and passion. Next, think of the quality of a vase.
Is the vase a cheap plastic vase that has been drug out of a dusty basement? Is the vase an elegant
crystalline piece of artwork? Depending on how hard you work determines

The Cherokee Indians Essay
The Cherokee Indians
The American Indian History in the Eastern part of the country is always associated with the Cherokee
Indian nation. The Cherokee s were by far the largest and most advanced of the tribes when Europeans
first arrived and came in contact with Native Americans. There are too many tribes to go over
background on every one of them, so I m going to focus on the Cherokee s since many of their ways
and customs are so similar to all the other tribes in the East.
When Europeans first arrived in North America, the Cherokees occupied a large expanse of territory in
the Southeast. Their homeland included mountains and valleys in the southern part of the Appalachian
Mountain chain. Their

The Cherokees practiced a variety of crafts, including basketwork and stamped pottery. They also
carved, out of woods and gourds, masks representing good and evil spirits. These masks were used
during their many hunting, agricultural and healing rituals. They held these ceremonies at key times of
the year, such as harvest time.
Each village was run by two chiefs. The White Chief, or Most Beloved Man helped the villagers make
decisions concerning farming, lawmaking, and disputes between individuals, families, or clans. He
also played a large role in religious ceremonies. The Red Chief gave advice concerning warfare. One
such decision was choosing who would be the War Woman, an honored woman chosen to accompany
braves on their war parties. The War Woman did not fight, but helped feed the men, offered them
council, and decided which prisoners would live or die. The Red Chief was also in charge of the
lacrosse games which were called
quot;little wars. quot; Lacrosse was played within tribes and against other tribes. It is one of the first
known friendly competitions between Indian tribes.
Hernando de Soto was the first European explorer to come into contact with the Cherokees, when he
arrived in their territory in 1540. The Europeans were very impressed with the highly advanced
cultures.

Kingsford Charcoal Marketing Strategy
Kingsford Charcoal Marketing Plan
Introduction:
Kingsford Charcoal ( Kingsford ) is the leading brand of charcoal in the United States, and one of the
largest product groups in the Clorox portfolio. Three out of four households in the U.S. owns a
barbecue, and grilling has grown in popularity year after year. Kingsford s revenues grew 1 to 3%
annually in the 1980 s and 1990 s. However, the summer results in July 2000 were below forecast. The
drop in charcoal demand coincided with an increase in demand for gas grills, due to the convenience
of faster cooking and easier cleanup as compared to charcoal grills. Charcoal grilling beats gas grilling
in taste tests 2 to 1, but there may not be enough knowledge among consumers of ... Show more

Advertising during NASCAR will create more sales in the fall, thus extending the peak season of
grilling occasions. The goal should be to create more events that people associate with barbecues, and
to extend the popularity of the barbecue to the colder months.
Advertisements should focus on the authentic taste benefits of Kingsford charcoal over any alternative
grilling option, thus appeasing the consumers with the mindset of Regular Exclusive buyers who
associate grilling with integrity and masculinity...Providing for family, lighting a fire, grilling with real
charcoal. At the same time, the ads should point out the benefits of instant charcoal, thus appeasing
consumers with the mindset of Instant Exclusive buyers who seek the fastest and easiest way to get a
grilling experience. The goal should be to get men to see gas grilling as inferior and weak, and
Kingsford charcoal as the only authentic way to grill, while assuring them that Kingsford instant
charcoal is easy to grill with compared to other charcoals. Thus, Kingsford charcoal becomes seen as
masculine yet convenient.
To encourage impulse buying, the sales team should convince retailers to prominently display
Kingsford charcoal. Retailers will be encouraged by the research that shows consumers who buy
Kingsford charcoal spend 30% more money at the store. Retailers should be informed that it would be
more advantageous for them to focus on

Thomas Gordon Elijah Heart Center Simulation Review Health Care Financial Accounting February
14, 2016 HCS 405 Elijah Heart Center Simulation Review The Elijah Heart Center (EHC) has started
seeing and realizing that the financial burdens that are starting to increase cost of staffing, the
decreasing amount of reimbursements, the gathering of loans for expansion, and the costs of
continuation of upgrading equipment is starting to seriously show strains and obstacles. From my
analyzations EHC has to start projecting developments of series of options to create reductions in
costs and to improve a stable amount of income. These decisions can be highly influential and by
addressing these problems can secure long term goals and short term goals that can be reached to
make EHC a more profitable organization. The Chief Executive Officer made a beneficial decision in
hiring the financial firm of Huber and Guizot which planned that they would be able to assist in
finding a productive ways to increase revenue stream, cut costs, and to decrease certain patient care
outcomes. To get the best ideas for the EHC, Saika Takeuchi, Vice President, Zachary Macholz, Chief
Financial Officer (CFO), and Dr. Brenda Lopez, Radiologist make the panel involved in the decision
making process. Phase I: Capital Shortage Cost Cutting Options The cost cutting options and

The Impact Of The Roaring 20 s During the era of the Great Depression, economic downfall committed an end to the great prosperity of the Roaring 20 s , and farmers continued to spiral deeper into an already formed economic pit. • 4. Ethnography of Performance Essay Ethnography of Performance During a musical performance many elements to be looked are not easily recognized by the average critic. A musical performance has multiple interactions taking place between the music, text, performers, audience, and space that all can contribute to a great performance. Overwhelming majority of the audience does not realize so much can be looked at during a single performance. At a performance by the University of Maryland Marching Band I was able to analyze the Musical Sound, Contexts of the Performance, and Interpretation of the Performance. When analyzing musical sound there are many factors to pay attention to during the performance. Important things to listen for are the pitch, scale, timbre, tone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the performance there were many overtones and one fundamental tone, which deals with the timbre and tone quality. The overtones produce additional sounds that enable us to distinguish between different instruments even when they are sounding the same pitch (Kaemmer:60). The tone quality of the performance was very good. The music sounded evenly distributed and it was very easy to hear the sounds of the various instruments. The band played two songs and one song had a slow rhythm and the other had a faster rhythm. Rhythm means more than a basic beat (Kaemmer:65). During the performance there was a steady rhythm. Also during the performance there was a section of the song that sounded different and after about ten seconds the song goes back to its previous sound. That sound was a melody. Melodies are combination of pitches and rhythm patterns that produce a distinctive line of sound (Kaemmer:62). When the band first began to play the song started in a low tone and the music began to escalate and it reached a climax where the loudness of the performance was at its peak. Once at its peak the music began to get softer and lower. This is an example of a linear form of the performance. Linear form means a performance having a definite beginning and ending. The overall musical sound of the performance was delightful and pleasing to the ears. The context of a musical performance is another key part of any ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Capitalism And Imperialism Imperialism is the policy of extending power and dominion of an empire. It is most notably accomplished through the acquisition of territory or gaining control of foreign political or economic systems. Capitalism, by nature, is imperialistic. While this system is not driven by nationalism, it does facilitate competitive rivalry, and it s often distinguished by its usage of economic competition. Wage workers are hired by competing businesses in an industry, and these businesses strive to outperform each other. The most effective businesses sustain their dominance in the market by equipping themselves with the latest tools and tactics to gain increasing amounts of capital. From there, they continue to efficiently expand their territory to maximize profit and increase market power. Smaller businesses that do not efficiently grow their profit margin and increase their market share tend to fail in the shadows of these more powerful businesses. The natural tendency of capitalism is to spread. Corporations are in constant pursuit to keep gaining access to new or untouched markets that will grant them the best prices for their products and services. They often do this by targeting new customer demographics, selling more products, and dispersing their products or services into new territories. As these corporations infiltrate new markets, maintaining market power would require that executives also continue to constantly innovate the framework of their businesses refining and ... The And Its Effects On Alzheimer s Disease Essay According to the Alzheimer s Association (AA), more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer s disease and this number is expected to triple by the year 2050. The AA website states that Alzheimer s is the 6th leading cause of death in our country with 1 in 3 seniors dying from Alzheimer s or other types of dementia. Because this disease effects so many people and because its symptoms are so devastating, scientists are continually searching for the cause of Alzheimer s disease (AD) in attempt to find treatment or a cure. Some scientists working in this field believe that microbial infections may be underlying causes of the disease. There are many theories and studies are being conducted to determine whether bacteria or viruses are playing some role in the development of AD and other forms of dementia. To understand how microbes may be involved in AD, we first must look at what physically happens to the brain with this disease. There are two distinct aspects involved in Alzheimer s disease; beta amyloid plaques and tau tangles. Beta amyloid plaques are formed when the amyloid precursor protein (APP) which is present in the membrane of neurons (alz.org) is cleaved off by beta and gamma secretases (Chen et al., 2001). In a normal brain, alpha secretase does the cleaving and the body processes APP on its own (Chen, et al., 2001). In AD, the small pieces join to form beta amyloid plaques but as smaller individual pieces they can interfere with nerve signaling ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Center for Disease and Control (2010) reported an estimated 1.7 million individuals sustaining TBI annually with 51% of these injuries occurring during periods of cerebral development. Children (0 4 years), older adolescents (15 19 years) and older adults (65+ years) are most likely to sustain TBI (CDC, 2010). Brain injuries often lead to severe, pervasive, and potentially irreversible impairments in one s neurological, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning (e.g., Wilde et al, 2012; Yeates, 2005). Neuroimaging scans play a cardinal role in TBI diagnosis, prognosis, and deciding what treatments to give. CT is the preferred method of assessment on admission to determine structural damage and to detect (developing) intracranial hematomas (Maas, Stocchetti, Bullock, 2008). The preferred test is the computed tomography (CT) scan due to its speed, accuracy, and accessibility. The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exhibits more details than CT scan. MRI scan can be more advantageous than the CT scan as it is able to detect other TBI symptoms such as diffuse axonal injury (DAI). Conversely, MRI is usually not the preferred method in emergency setting due to its inability to detect brain hemorrhage and fractures, general inaccessibility, and lengthiness of the procedure. Childhood TBI Previous studies expressed concern in children s TBI acquisition in their developing brain. Wilde et al (2012) explains that the neurocognitive and neurobehavioral morbidity is particularly significant with acquired child brain injury because the injury disrupts the neural maturation and development (Catroppa et al., 2008). Researchers hypothesized that childhood TBI potentially disrupt the development of certain brain regions through pathological changes. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (also known as the USSR or Soviet Union) survived and advanced through a century that consisted of revolutions, changes in leadership figures and policies, and events such as World War II and the Cold War. As this union experienced a period of so much change, there is no doubt that these events had a variety of large impacts on the history and culture of the Soviet Union. However, a certain series of events and explorations that also reached a peak during this era often took a more subtle route of impact on Soviet society and culture. Space exploration in the Soviet Union and across the world took a huge leap forward toward the end of the 20th century. Namely, the Space Race between the Soviet Union and the United States of America lasted from the 1950 s to the 1970 s and engaged the country in an intense competition to the moon. While the Space Race did focus on achieving greatness in space, a deeper analysis showed that it revolved around the desire to obtain supremacy in not only the spaceflight sector of the world, but also as a powerhouse nation in general. The United States and the USSR pushed each other to complete the first to launch into space, send humans to space, and finally to reach the moon. Ultimately, one of the largest ways that the Space Race incluenced the culture and people of the Soviet Union happened through the creation of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 31. Essay on Advertising Fast Food to Children Under The Age... How much do the fast food companies spend for advertising to children in the United States? In 2009, The Fast food companies spent over $ 4.2 billion in the fast food industry alone to market on television, the internet, social media sites, etc (Brownell, 2009). This amount of money demonstrated that advertising to children is big business for companies, but it affects children directly, who are innocent of future generations. The purpose of this essay is to convince legislators to consider banning the advertising of fast food to children under the age of 12 in children s programming. First, I will briefly describe the definition of fast food and the negative effects of advertising fast food to children under the age of 12. They are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The television advertising targeted at children is harmful. The Journal of the American Medical Association has said children between ages of two and seventeen watch an annual average of 15,000 to 18,000 hours of television, compared with 12,000 hours spent per year in school (Beacon Press, 2000). This indicates that children watch television for too many hours, so the advertising companies target children to increase the number of people, watching their programs. We can see from the above that the fast food industry spends a lot of money to just advertise to children increase their profit. Also, based on the research of the Food Advertising to Children and Teen Scores, show that the average preschooler between the ages 2 to 5 see almost three fast food advertisements every day. The children between the ages 6 to 11 see three and a half advertisements for each day, and teenagers see almost five advertisements for every day (Yale University s Rudd Center, 2009). In other words, average children ages 2 to 11 see fast food advertisements approximately 3 times for each day. If children watch advertisements from television every day, within one year children will have watched fast food advertisements approximately 2,000 times a year. This is a very serious amount that should cause concern with our young children. Children are influenced by television ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to the Department of Health (2003), Cancer Research UK (2010) and the Office of National Statistics (2004), despite of the drop of statistics of smokers, there are still individuals who would try smoking especially the young people between the ages of eleven to sixteen. In the report of the three offices they listed the main reasons why young people smoke and these are experimentation, to look mature or part of their image, there are older people smokes around them, especially their parents, and peer pressures (DH, 2003) (ONS, 2004) (CR UK, 2010). This experimentation can be attributed through social learning theory, where psychologists and theorists Julian Rotter and Albert Bandura describe it as how we learn from others. Watching others can provide information on which kind of behaviour leads to what consequences (Adams and Bromley, 1998). Parents have strong influence among us. If we are surrounded by our family who smokes, there is a strong possibility that we will imitate them. We also looked at other people such as our peers, actors and singers. Seeing these people smoking can also lead us to emulate them and try smoking. Once we learn to smoke, we keep smoking until it will be hard for us to stop. Another motive in experimentation among the young people came from advertising. One example from one Tobacco Company which says I am no longer my mother s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. The Tactics Of Combat Civil Wars And Instill Peace The three main tactics used to combat civil wars and instill peace in an area are peacekeeping, peace enforcement, and counterinsurgency. The first tactic I will address is peacekeeping. Once the two parties of a conflict have agreed to a truce, peacekeepers will come in to guarantee the implementation of the truce and try to maintain peace. The duty of peacekeepers is not only [to] monitoring troops, but also with human rights monitoring, protecting and delivering humanitarian aid, demobilizing and retraining troops, reforming police forces, protecting civilians, reforming legal systems, assisting in economic reconstruction, and sometimes administering the entire state until a new government can take over. In other words, after civil wars, peacekeepers are often charged not only with military monitoring duties, but with reforming the essential institutions of the state (Peacekeeping, Peace Enforcement, and UN Reform Lise Morjé Howard, P 1 2). There are three ways that peacekeepers are able to use their power in order to succeed. These three ways include coercion, inducement, and persuasion. Coercion involves a display of power, like swagger, to wield off attacks. Troops use swagger in several scenarios. One of the most common times the use of swagger will occur is during policing, where troops will patrol the area. Since one of the main doctrines of peacekeeping involves not using force, this type of coercion has been deemed useful. Even though the majority of the time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Why Youth Do Not Vote Intro Youth in industrialized countries currently are more educated than any generation has ever been. While education levels have risen, the conventional wisdom is that this would cause levels of voter turnout and party attachment to climb, however, this has not been the case. (Nevitte 1996, 50 51) Despite the great deal of research on this topic, there is not consensus on the answer to this question. In these interviews I attempted to look at how different forms of participation were viewed by members of the LBGTQ+ community, in order to draw some inferences about why youth are less likely to vote. Hypothesis LBGTQ+ students will be less likely to participate in traditional forms of political participation, such as writing to an MP or becoming active in a Political Party, as a way to address equity issues. Instead they will be more likely to engage in more grassroots, individual acts of activism. Case selection Addressing the question of why youth do not vote is a large task and one that would require much more than two interviews. I chose to focus down onto the LBGTQ+ community as a most likely case to find low levels of traditional political involvement and high levels of interpersonal grassroots activism. Due to social views on being homosexual, gender queer, or transsexual, etc., until quite recently, the LBGTQ+ community was totally excluded from traditional politics. This total exclusion from traditional political involvement, means that it is more likely that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Recrystallization Of Organic Chemistry Lab Report Veneta Dinova CHM 2210 L Section: 006 Lab Partner: Jake Bodway TA: Benjamin Pollard Experiment 4: Recrystallization of Pure Phthalic Acid, Benzoic Acid and Naphthalene Introduction Section Recrystallization is a technique frequently used in organic chemistry to purify solid organic compounds. The goal of this technique is to allow organic compounds to form crystal lattice structures, and to remove any of the impurities that do not align within this crystal structure.1 The theory behind recrystallization revolves around entropy; as heat will cause a organic compound to dissolve (increase in entropy), a decrease in heat will then allow that organic compound to reform (decrease in entropy) and become purer.2 The recrystallization technique utilizes the ability of a compound to dissolve within a hot solvent and produce a solution. As this solution cools, the solute reforms without impurities in a crystal lattice structure.1 For this to work properly, an appropriate solution that will not dissolve the solute at low temperatures, but will at high temperatures, must be used.1 There is no single solvent that will work well for every solute s recrystallization; different solvents are better suited for some solutes than others.2 Some impurities that do not dissolve within the solvent can be filtered out while the solution is still hot, while other impurities that readily dissolve within the solvent shouldn t recrystallize with the pure substance (as they are not concentrated enough to ... I also learned that there are many different types of characters. Characters can be flat, round, dynamic, stock, archetypes, and scapegoat. Although I learned a lot, I also did know most of the reading about character. I do think this is an effective reading because it explains facts about characters and gives a checklist for evidence to consider in analyzing a character. I think that picking out the main character is fairly easy because most readings just focus on one person, but if you do not know, the checklist this reading provided is very helpful. The Jilting of Granny Weatherall by Katherine Anne Porter In this reading the main character, Granny, is easy to pick out. Granny is dying but she refuses to believe that she is actually dying. On her deathbed she is thinking about keeping the house clean and orderly. She was also thinking about the love letters that she has in the attic from her ex fiancé, John. Granny did not want her daughter, Cornelia, to find them. Grannys last thought was that she had been jilted. Honestly, I did not find this story very interesting because I think it was a boring topic. It is sad that the Granny dies in the end, but how they organized it was boring. They organized it just like a normal reading would be. I think it could have been more interesting if they organized it a different way. Miss Brill ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. The Functions Of Dna And Protein Synthesis The Functions of: DNA, RNA and Protein Synthesis DNA replication: Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a chain of molecules that hold the genetic code for all living things. This genetic code is the instructions for growth, hair color, eye color, shapes of the body s structures, and every little detail that is inside of a living organism (Bhatt). A complete set of genetic instructions is a genome and every cell has two copies of genomes, one from each parent, making a full chromosome. DNA is composed of four different types of nucleotides: Adenine ( A ), Guanine ( G ), Cytosine ( C ), and Thymine ( T ). Thymine is only found in DNA. These four nucleotides come together in pairs for form nucleic acids. Adenine and Thymine are a pair as Guanine and Cytosine are a pair. These pairs of nucleotides are glued via hydrogen bonds onto a nitrogenous base forming a double helix structure. This double helix can grow to be very long, millions, even billions of base pairs long. When cells go under mitosis, the DNA in the nucleus must replicate as well. The daughter cells have the exact same DNA as in its original parent cell. When replication begins, hydrogen bonds that hold the DNA structure together break, thus unwinding and exposing their nitrogenous bases. Enzymes called DNA polymerase then come and bring complementary nucleotides to the pairs that were initially there. One new strand of complementary bases forms with an old one and now you have two separate completed strands, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Book II promises a marriage for the two lovers but ends up damping their expectations as well as that of the audience all of a sudden when Madam Cui takes back her word. Put in between these two episodes of dramatic tension and emotional intensity, Book III may at the surface merely serve as a buffer, that is, a temporary relief from the breath taking conflicts on the part of the audience. Actually, the dramatic rhythm at this stage does slow down. As the central character, Hongniang frequently evokes laughter from the audience with her quick repartee and satirical comments on the pretentious lovers. Apart from all this, however, by making Hongniang sing all the time and keeping the lovers relatively reticent they are only heard in dialogues Book III complicates the interrelationships between the three characters and significantly contributes to the psychological depth of this play. In other words, while foregrounding Hongniang and exploring the complexity in her motivation, the play also employs her as a vehicle for the off stage conflicts between Zhang Sheng and Yingying and their inner conflicts, which are much less spectacular than they are psychological. Think of all of the shapes the vase could be. It could be high and skinny, petite and plump, or a combination that is special to itself. It is just like a person. You see, the unique shape of the vase doesn t go unnoticed. It is not just a container, it is an elegant transporter of love and passion. Next, think of the quality of a vase.
