In epistemology, in the last few years, important differentiations have occurred related to the way we view education as well as its applications. These changes in perception are of particular importance, because they clearly show the need for a new approach to Education. More specifically, we need to clarify the fundamental principles that determine nowadays the way education is regarded and the methods used in teaching and learning
At the onset, this paper unambiguously declares that nowadays at the centre of the pedagogic approach towards teaching and learning should be the concept of integration. This leads to the position that not only the traditional Teacher Centred Instructing educational paradigm, as well as the much herald present approaches to education, defined as the Student Centred Learning paradigm, are now absolute and we find ourselves in the period of the Net Centred Knowing paradigm which is based on Cloud Computing.
More specifically, the position presented here is simple in its explanation, but radical when is considered in terms of the excising beliefs and practices in the education community. That is, today’s major educational stakeholders require combined and simultaneous capabilities that cannot be dealt with unless we accept the fact that they represent different manifestations of “a whole”, the dialectic entity of education. Therefore, an integrated approach towards teaching and learning is required, an approach that is not possible without the help of the educational abilities provided by Cloud Computing. But understanding such an approach to teaching and learning is possible only through an examination of their nature and their evolution, which in turn determines how we perceive education as well as how we practice it. However, these two dimensions have recently been involved in changes representing what epistemologist Thomas Khun (1962) has termed paradigm shifts and which are presented bellow.

Two complementary European lifelong learning projects (ViPi -Virtual Portal for Interaction and ICT Training for People with Disabilities- focuses on the development of skills in ICT for (young) adults with disabilities and ATLEC - Assistive Technology Learning Through A Unified Curriculum- focuses on skills and competences in ICT based Assistive Technologies) will present their outcomes within a wider framework of learning, employment and independent living for people with disabilities in a final Symposium on 4 December 2013.
The Symposium has a twofold aim: raising awareness among gatekeepers and policy makers on the need for ICT and ICT based AT (assistive technology) training on the one hand, and on the other hand providing concrete curricula, training material, pedagogical methods and tools which were produced by the projects, and which further equal opportunities and the participation of people with disabilities in learning and employment.
The symposium therefore presents academic and experience-based contributions, while interactivity, dialogue and information exchange is sought with the participants in the different sessions and in the exhibition.
Other relevant projects and experiences are invited to contribute with a poster, leaflets and demonstration material to enrich the exhibition.
The participation of people with disabilities is incentivised by an accessible venue and by accessible presentations.

Amidst the hype and the hysteria MOOCs themselves have marched steadily along. Recent reports show that they continue to grow both in numbers of courses being offered and the total number of learners enrolled on all MOOCs. And so, despite many critiques and uncertainties about their true role and financial viability, MOOCs are for the moment at least, here to stay. The cMOOC xMOOC binary, and other acronymic derivations, can be seen as representative of the contestation of the arena in which MOOCs are situated; as attempts to frame or direct the discourse. This has been examined in the academic literature REFS, in the traditional media [VITOMIR SELWIN US ] and to some degree in social media [REFS]. In this paper will examine how stakeholders including MOOC providers, teachers and students use the term MOOC in social medium Twitter. We do this through an analysis of a sample of mentions of the hashtag “#MOOC”. Furthermore, we examine issues of the how research can be conducted on MOOCs in Twitter including an appraisal of how the term itself is both portrayed and conceptualized in this space.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling.
