Diego Rivera Historical Figures
My historical figure was Diego Rivera. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico in 1886. Although he
traveled to different places for his profession of painting and muralisting, his birth and death place was
in Mexico, his home country.
Diego s early life consisted of school, traveling, and drawing. He was inspired by the artist Jose
Posada. At the age of ten, Diego attended the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City. He
then traveled to Europe at the age of twenty one, where he was able to work with other artists.
He is known for painting art that reflects the lives of people and the environment. For example, he
would paint the lives of the working class and natives that lived in Mexico. While in Italy, Diego then
found a liking for painting murals which he brought back home to Mexico where the government
funded him to create a series of murals. These murals reflected the country s people and it s history. ...

He painted some more murals which caused disagreement. He was asked to paint for the Rockefellers,
but he made them look bad, and wouldn t stop painting the art for them when they asked him to, so
they ended up destroying it and ripping it apart.
One interesting fact about my historical figure is that he was born with his twin brother who passed
away before the age of two. Another fact is that he loved drawing so much and started at such a young
age (the age of three), his dad built him his own studio so he wouldn t draw on anything in the

Effects Of Hiv-1 Pathogenesis
In the absence of a cure for HIV Type 1 (HIV 1) pathogenesis, highly active antiretroviral therapy
(HAART) are designed to suppress viral replication and maintain it at low to undetectable levels
(Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Due to their high intrinsic antiviral activity, the introduction of HIV 1
protease inhibitors (PIs) have led to a dramatic reduction in morbidity and mortality rates of HIV 1
infected patients (Codoner et al, 2017). HIV 1 protease inhibitors are peptidomimetics, or substrate or
transition state analogs that mimic natural peptides or proteins and retain the ability to interact with
the original protein s biological target, that competitively targets the hydrophobic P2 P2 domain in the
active site (Prabu Jeyabalan et ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Proteolytic processing of the Gag polyprotein results mature HIV 1 structural proteins: p17 matrix
(MA), p24 capsid (CA), p7 nucleocapsid (NC), p6 domains, and two spacer peptides, SP1 and SP2.
Each of these HIV 1 structural proteins play a crucial role in the HIV 1 retroviral replication cycle.
MA is responsible for targeting Gag to the plasma membrane and promoting the incorporation of viral
envelop glycoproteins into the forming virions; CA drives Gag multimerization during assembly to
form the Gag lattice that encapsidates the viral RNA genome; NC recruits the viral RNA genome into
the virions; and the p6 domain recruits the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT)
apparatus that catalyzes the membrane fission step responsible for the budding off of new virions from
the infected cell (Freed, 2015).
Due to the infidelity of HIV 1 reverse transcriptase, HIV 1 protease, as with all other HIV proteins,
undergoes frequent mutation (Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Despite the high genetic barrier, or
sufficient number of critical drug resistance mutations to overcome the anti HIV activity of a drug
regimen, of PI, selective pressure induced by PIs have been seen to be associated with drug resistance
mutations at both the active site of HIV 1 protease and Gag polyprotein (Codoner et al,

Data Mining Method Of Extracting The Data From Large Database
Abstract Data mining is the method of extracting the data from large database. Various data mining
techniques are clustering, classification, association analysis, regression, summarization, time series
analysis and sequence analysis, etc. Clustering is one of the important tasks in mining and is said to be
unsupervised classification. Clustering is the techniques which is used to group similar objects or
processes. In this work four clustering algorithms (K Means, Farthest first, EM, Hierarchal) have been
analyzed to cluster the data and to find the outliers based on the number of clusters. Here the WEKA

Clustering plays an important role in data mining process. Clustering is the approach of grouping the
data into classes or clusters so that the objects within each cluster have high similarity in comparison
with one another[12].The common approach of clustering techniques is that to find cluster centroid
and then the data are clustered. Several clustering techniques are partitioning methods, hierarchical
methods, density based methods, grid based methods, model based methods and constraint based
clustering. Clustering is a challenging field of research in which its potential applications pose their
own requirements [4]. Clustering is also called as the data segmentation because clustering method
partitions the large data sets into smaller data groups according to their similarities. The main
objective of cluster analysis is to increase intra group similarity and inter group dissimilarity.
Detecting outlier is one of the important tasks. A failure to detect outliers or their ineffective handling
can have serious ramifications on the strength of the inferences drained from the exercise [4]. Outlier
detection has direct applications in a wide variety of domains such as mining for anomalies to detect
network intrusions, fraud detection in mobile phone industry and recently for detecting terrorism
related activities [5].Outliers are found using the filters which is offered by data mining tools. Liver
disorder is also referred to as

Financial Assistance Program For Health Coverage
Mrs. Jones, like many older adults, is on a fixed income, has Medicare for health coverage, but lacks
prescription drug coverage. She was recently prescribed a new medication by her physician, which she
cannot afford. As Mrs. Jones nurse, it is my responsibility to advocate for her by providing education
and sharing information on the multiple different avenues available to decrease the cost of the
medication prescribed. I will identify three strategies in which I can help Mrs. Jones afford her
medication. First, I will provide education on her insurance plan and explain Medicare Drug Plans and
their enrollment process. Secondly, I will identify a financial assistance program which she might
qualify for. Finally, I will identify different ways to lower the cost of the medication such as coupons,
drug discount cards, switching to a generic medication, and store programs ( Prescription Drug, 2014).
All of these options are a solution to Mrs. Jones problem. In the meantime, it may be beneficial to
obtain free samples from the physician s office if possible, but this only makes sense if there is a
strong likelihood that she will eventually be able to afford the new medication.
First, I must assess Mrs. Jones understanding of her insurance plan. Is she even aware that she doesn t
have prescription drug coverage? According to Cohen and Villarroel (2015), approximately one fifth
(18%) of the $263 billion spent on retail prescription drugs in the United States in 2012

The Calling of Saul of Tarsus
The Calling of Saul of Tarsus Keith Vann Liberty University The Calling of Saul of Tarsus Hedrick,
Charles W. Paul s Conversion/Call: A Comparative Analysis of the Three Reports in Acts. Journal of
Biblical Literature 100, no. 3 (September 1981): 415 432. Of great significance is the fact that Saul s
conversion experience is recounted three times in Acts. Scholars note this as being an important fact
regarding the writings. The imagery of blindness is brought to the forefront. Saul was so blinded with
his zeal to persecute something he felt so grievously wronged God that he tried to eliminate all who
practiced this newfound religion. God blinded him to show him how much he had failed to see. When
his sight is restored, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is not the case since Saul is breathing out murderous threats to anyone who so much as blinks
their eyes at Jesus. Saul may not have converted to a different religion during his Damascus road
experience, as one would expect when speaking of conversion. When comparing Saul s experience to
that of the Ethiopian eunuch, there is a distinct difference. The Ethiopian eunuch is studying God s
Law to seek out the truth, rather than having truth thrust upon him by a blinding light. McDonough,
Sean M. Small Change: Saul to Paul, Again. Journal of Biblical Literature 125, no. 2 (June 2006): 390
391. The significance of the name change has not been specified. Perhaps the name change could be
an Old Testament reference to Saul and his persecution of David, through which came the Messiah.
The name change also serves to indicate that Saul went from a man of great importance to humble
nobody through which the Messiah chose to reveal Himself to the Jews and the vast majority of
Gentiles. Ralston, Timothy J. The Theological Significance of Paul s Conversion. Bibliotheca Sacra
147, no. 586 (April 1990): 198 215. Scholar debate whether it is conversion or calling. None are
suggesting that Saul/Paul s influence is any less potent if it was a calling and not a conversion.

Internal Control for Inflows
Internal controls are important to a business. The internal controls provide a safeguard against errors
in the accounting system as well as the detection and prevention of fraud. With the inflows of the
company come many risks that need to be considered. The ways in which cash, sales, accounts
receivable, inventory, and production are handled within the company are different for each division.
The internal controls may vary from department to department, but the end result is to protect the
company from the risks that can arise.

If these controls fail, orders could be processed for fictitious customers, credit could be approved for
bad credit risks, and shipping documents could be created for goods that do not exist in the inventory
(Louwers et al., 2007, p. 253).
Another control that is essential to the sales portion is the delivery to the customer. The reason that
this control is important is because this is where the inventoried products or services leave the
company and is reassigned to the customer. Proper authorization is important; employees performing
each of these steps should sign transfer documents so they can be held accountable. This control
procedure will prevent misappropriation the goods or shipping the product to friends without billing
them (Louwers et al., 2007, p. 254). This control maintains the integrity of the process from the
company to the customer, and ensures that the customers are billed correctly.
Each of these controls for the sales portion of inflows are crucial to the company receiving timely and
appropriate payment for the goods and services provided to the customer.
Accounts Receivable
For a company, receiving payment for goods and services is an essential component to maintain the
ability to run operations from a financial standpoint. Regardless of how often billing is completed; the
ability to receive the payments from the customer can be the difference in having a healthy company

Andrew Carnegie Research Paper
Andrew Carnegie Essay written by aliciareagan@neo.tamu.edu A man of Scotland, a distinguished
citizen of the United States, and a philanthropist devoted to the betterment of the world around him,
Andrew Carnegie became famous at the turn of the twentieth century and became a real life rags to
riches story. Born in Dunfermline, Scotland, on November 25, 1835, Andrew Carnegie entered the
world in poverty. The son of a hand weaver, Carnegie received his only formal education during the
short time between his birth and his move to the United States. When steam machinery for weaving
came into use, Carnegie s father sold his looms and household goods, sailing to America with his wife
and two sons. At this time, Andrew was twelve, and his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He established many other steel plants, and in 1892, he merged all of his interests into the Carnegie
Steel Company. This act from Carnegie is fitting with one of his most famous quotations, Put all of
your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket. This firm became one of the greatest industrial
enterprises in America. Carnegie later sold it to J.P. Morgan s United States Steel Corporation in 1901
for $400 million, which would be a little over $4 billion today! After retiring, Carnegie s fortune was
estimated to be as large as half a billion dollars. From that time on, with the philosophy that the rich
have a moral obligation to give away their money, he devoted himself to philanthropy. Although
ironic, this man of great fortune strongly believed in the merits of poverty for the development of
character and work ethic, and determined that wealthy men should not leave their fortunes to their
children, but should give it away, claiming The man who dies thus rich, dies disgraced. The picture of
community service, Carnegie is quoted as saying, Pittsburgh entered the core of my heart when I was
a boy, and cannot be torn out. I can never be one hair s breadth less loyal to her, or less anxious to help
her in any way, than I have been since I could help anything. My treasure is still with you, and how
best to serve Pittsburgh is the question which occurs to me almost every day of my life. Colonel James

The Old Testament of the Holy Bible gives many examples which provide modern man with
guidelines for the use of scientific method. Millam (2008) explains that there is an underlying order in
nature demonstrated by the patterns and regularities of God s creations. These regularities can be seen
in the forces of nature and are stable throughout space and time (Millam, 2008). The original
classification of species, use of precise measurement, and even the first account of scientific research,
are all included in the Old Testament of the Holy Scriptures. God gives scientists some clear frames of
reference for seeking knowledge and truth in science.

It was not made to sail, but to float until the water went down and the angel of the Lord opened the
only door of the Ark (Cremades, 2000). Noah, being a righteous and faithful man, was obedient to
God s divine direction in the building of the Ark. Noah also trusted that God would keep His covenant
with him that if Noah built the Ark and loaded it with the animals and food according to God s explicit
instructions that God would keep them all safe through the flood and cause His angel to open the door
of the Ark when the flood waters had receded. The Biblical lesson for the modern man of science is
that God has called us to obediently follow His teachings in all of our scientific endeavors His
precision in measures and His integrity and truth in reporting results yet with the humility of fallen
creatures who are prone to sin and error.

How Chik Shampoo was born
He named it Chik Shampoo after my father. The product did not succeed immediately; they learnt
many things during the process. In the first month, they could sell 20,000 sachets and from the second
year, they started making profits.
He moved to Chennai in 1989 but their manufacturing unit continued to be in Cuddalore. It took him
three years to get the first loan because banks asked for collateral. He did not have any. But one
particular bank gave him a loan of Rs 25,000 which we rotated and later upgraded to Rs 400,000, Rs
15 lakh (Rs 1.5 million), etc.
The bank manager wrote in their loan application This person does not have any collateral to offer but
there is something interesting about this SSI unit. Unlike others, this company pays income tax!
His business never looked back because he was very particular about paying income tax.
Strategies that made Chik Shampoo No. 1 in South India
When Chik entered the market, Velvette Shampoo was being marketed aggressively by Godrej . But a
scheme of theirs became extremely successful they exchanged five sachets of any shampoo for a Chik

company and contemplated whether or not a superstore for this merchandise would be worthwhile,

The Sonnets Of Shakespeare s Sonnets
There are 154 sonnets Shakespeare wrote, though it is popularly theorized that he himself did not
publish them; they were published by a man named Thomas Thorpe, who is said to have stolen the
sonnets. This explains the unrefined lines found in several of the sonnets. More evidence for this
theory stems from the idea that Shakespeare s heterosexuality had to be proven by publishing the
sonnets and claiming that each one about romance was written for or about women. It is not known
what Shakespeare s true sexuality was, though in his time being homosexual was viewed as a grave
sin and would have wiped Shakespeare s name from fame. Ernest Sutherland Bates says in his
publication The Sincerity of Shakespeare s Sonnets, The criterion of ... Show more content on

Many of the sonnets are romantic, with more than half appearing to be written about a romance with a
young man, and the rest are written about a woman referred to often as the Dark Lady. This paper will
be concerned with Sonnet 7.
Shakespeare s Sonnet 7 strays from the main theme of love and romance, as it is mainly about youth
turning into old age. The first four are as follows: Lo! in the orient when the gracious light / Lifts up
his burning head, each under eye / Doth homage to his new appearing sight / Serving with looks his
sacred majesty. Already the theme of youth fleeing into old age can be seen; the gracious light refers
to the sun, which rises in the east and sets in the west. The orient refers to the East, and so this line
depicts someone young. This is reinforced by the phrase lifts up his burning head in the second line, as
it characterizes the sun as just rising up over the horizon, burning bright and full of energy for the day
ahead. In the third line, his new appearing sight, also reinforces this imagery of the sun rising each
day. The final line in this rhyme pattern implies that others look at the young man with respect, as
shown by the words his sacred majesty. There has always been a respect for the willpower and
determination of young people, and in writing, art, and theatre the young are often

of the phenylpropanoid pathway are commonly referred to as polyphenolic compounds. These are
derived from the precursor phenolic acids, and they may act as antioxidants to inhibit free radical.
Aloe Vera also contains products of the isoprenoid pathway, including carotenoids, steroids, terpenes,
and phytosterols Isoprenoids can be regarded as sensory molecules because they contribute to the
color and fragrance of the products in which they exist (NIH).
The molecules barbaloin and isobarbaloin undergo decomposition in the large intestine to form the

mechanisms. They prevent water from leaving the intestines so we end up having more water in our

used to relieve constipation.

of polysaccharides that have been shown to regulate immune function and speed wound healing by

Designing A Representative Model Of Real World Environments
Most of the previous types of simulations and simulators referenced evaluating methods and effective
practices. In the distant past technological advancement in the form of medical training mannequins or
board games were the bulk of technology based simulators. With the growth of the computer industry,
we are naturally increasing our use of computerized technology. Simulation is absolutely no exception
to this. Computer simulations have become one of the greatest and most common ways of creating a
representative model of real world environments. Steadman, Coates, Huang, Matevosian, Larmon,
McCullough, and Ariel (2006) pointed out the spread of simulations in the medical fields:
Fueled by the increasing emphasis on interactive medical education, the use of patient simulation has
spread from anesthesiology to a growing list of disciplines including emergency medicine, radiology,
pediatrics, neonatology, trauma, nursing, other allied health professions, and military and disaster
management. The applications of simulation range from routine skills and critical event training to
competency assessment. (p. 151)
The use of simulators has even seen an increase in entertainment circles with computer games such as
Flight Sim by Microsoft, Simcity originally by Electronic Arts and Maxis, and Sid Meier s
Civilization originally by MicroProse. The value of these simulators lies in their ability to recreate
aircraft piloting, government administration, or historical society growth

An Analysis of Solipsism in Kant’s Critique of Pure...
An Analysis of Solipsism in Kant s Critique of Pure Reason
My goal is to examine solipsism and discover how Immanuel Kant s Transcendental Idealism could be
subject to a charge of being solipsistic. Following this, I will briefly review the destructive impact this
charge would have on certain of Kant s positions. After the case for solipsism is made, I intend to
describe a possible line of rebuttal from Kant s perspective that could be made to the charge.
The issue of solipsism is intriguing in that it seems to be universally rejected as a basis of
metaphysics. Yet, the modern tradition has had difficulty supporting this rejection. Antony Flew
defines solipsism as, The theory that I am the sole existent. To be a solipsist I ... Show more content

Thereafter, the modern tradition was challenged to prove the existence of an external world and the
existence of other minds. Once we concede...that the immediate objects of sense experience are mind
dependent (ideas, impressions, sense data, etc.), it is indeed questionable whether we can argue validly
to the existence or nature of a mind independent external world. (Flew: 330)
Within the Critique of Pure Reason, Kant affirms that our capacity to perceive objects in the external
world is dependent upon the subject s imposition of certain conditions of the possibility of experience.
Time, space and the categories are among these. Thus, human beings are capable of viewing only the
appearance and not things as they are in themselves.
Now a thing in itself cannot be known through mere relations; and we may therefore conclude that
since outer sense gives us nothing but mere relations, this sense can contain in its representation only
the relation of an object to the subject, and not the inner properties of the object in itself. This also
holds true of inner sense, not only because the representations of the outer senses constitute the proper
material with which we occupy our mind, but because the time in which we set these representations,
which is itself antecedent to the consciousness of them in experience, and which underlies them as the
formal condition of the mode in which we posit them in the

Urban Condition Research Paper
Urbanism demonstrates the cultural and material aspects of urban and city living. An urban condition
is basically a city plan. The space and community play a valuable role in the creative process of
designing an urban condition. Designing the spaces between the buildings is just as important and
designing the building itself. In the following essay, I will discuss the main critical elements necessary
to design a spatially rich urban condition.
To begin, public space assists in the creation of a memorable urban condition. Public space is what
makes any city different from any other. You may either have a very dense or spacious city . However,
the matter how you position your public space will change the perspective of others. A public space
can be the main entrance into the city or it can also, be in the center of a city. The public space is
defined by its surroundings, depending on the facade of the building and the shape of it. A public
space is supposed to represent the main space in an urban condition. A public space can transition
from a street to a void, it all depends on the shape of your urban city. A public space should be the
final step in the design process of creating a building. For the reason that, a public ... Show more

represent a transition that allows you to go through the edge of the city. The edge of the city should

skyline your threshold would most likely be represented by a bridge over water or an underwater
bridge. An example of this is going from New Jersey to New York, since the river is in between, the
only way to get there is through bridges. In picture 4 you can see how the edge of the city is defined
by the buildings and how the entrance to the city is only through a

The Language Gap Between First And Second Generation...
One out of every four children in the United States lives with at least one foreign born parent, and
eighty eight percent of those children are second generation (Zong). Second generation immigrants
typically acquire the language spoken in the receiving country (their second language, the L2) when
old enough to leave the household for schooling, while their parents first generation immigrants retain
their native language (the L1). While childhood arrivals effortlessly acquire the L2, higher wage
returns and better job opportunities are typically prerequisite incentives for older immigrants to invest
in learning the L2 (Isphording).
As described by the Sapir Whorf hypothesis, the language one speaks determines how one
conceptualizes the world a phenomenon also known as linguistic relativity ( sapir whorf hypothesis. ).
Similar to this is linguistic determinism, which dictates that the process of thought and mental
categorization of input is also affected by language. With cognition so directly affected by language,
the language gap between first and second generation immigrants allows the two groups to have very
different conceptualizations of the world.
Second generation immigrants typically find difficulty in coping with the clash of the native culture
and language instilled by their parents and the culture and L2 they acquire in the receiving country. To
reconcile this, second generation immigrants forge their own identities by combining parts of each.

the website was able to recommend this subject to me. The more I learned about it the more it fit the
interest I have in creating new aspects of art. Art reflects a lot of a persons imagination, but making
something move gives the observer even more to reflect upon. My goal with this project is to create a

On each side of the valley there are a series of rows that have five holes each (or more, depending on
the breadboard you have). Each of the holes in each one of the rows is connected together, so putting
wires in that row is like twisting them all together. 2. Start with the 555 timer chip. Look at the top of
the chip (pins pointing away from you). Do you see the small indentation at one end, or a small dot in
one corner? If your chip has the indentation, hold it so that the indentation is up. The upper left corner
is called pin 1. Counting down the left side will be pins 1, 2, 3, and 4. Go back up the right side,
starting with the lower right corner. The pins on that side are 5, 6, 7, and 8. Pin 1 is opposite 8, 2 is
opposite 7, 3 is opposite 6, and 4 is opposite 5. Knowing which pin is which is critical to making your
circuit work. If your chip has a single embossed dot instead of an indentation, that dot is pin 1.
Proceed with the pin numbering as is explained in step 2.a. 3. Plug the chip into the breadboard near
the middle. If it does not immediately plug into the board, gently squeeze the pins closer and try again.
The chip should have four pins on one side of the valley and four on the other. You can look at Figure
5 for a diagram of where to place each part of your circuit, including the 555 timer chip. 4.Pick a few
empty rows on each side of the breadboard to serve as positive and negative battery connections.
Decide which side of the breadboard

Milk And Honey Personal Response
I believe that I know the feeling of pain and love during the same time throughout the story because I
have been through the feeling myself, I have carefully witnessed someone I love go through the
feeling, and I can sympathize and have empathy towards Kaur s feelings. Milk and Honey is about
finding the sweetness from the pain. The poems communicate the pains of Kaur s life; she goes
through love, loss, abuse, breaking, and healing. She even fights against violence and stands with
femininity without being silenced. However, despite any struggle she comes across, she always knows
that there is some happiness coming in the process, even if it is short lived, because sweetness is
everywhere when you look hard enough. She wants everyone to know

Baseball Is The Hardest Sport Essay
Baseball is the Hardest Sport
All sports in some ways are difficult. No two sports are exactly the same with the same struggles.
Playing baseball is the most difficult due to the physical and mental challenges that are performed by
the athletes. Baseball is not a sport that any athlete can just pick up and play.
Professional baseball players have a season with 162 games before post season. Baseball players aren
t the biggest, the strongest, or the fastest. A baseball player can be any size and that is what makes the
game so special. Anyone can be a baseball player if they put in the work to do so. However, baseball
is not a sport one can just start playing and expect to be exceptional at. Baseball requires players to be

Not only do players think while on defense, but also, they are thinking while batting. A player may be
batting in certain situations where they know they need to hit the ball to a certain place or get a bunt
down at a certain place. Again, this is all happening before they step into the box and react physically
to the pitch being thrown. Baseball is a very hard game physically and when players are struggling it
is very hard to stay positive mentally. It is hard to get enough to hit and when things are going bad our
mind becomes evil. This is where baseball players develop to be mentally tough. Baseball is so hard
that if you go 3 out of 10 you are considered one of the greats. In basketball, if a player shoots 3 out of
10 from the free throw line they re going to be terrible. This lone statistic right here shows how much
failure is in the game of baseball and how hard it is. It is extremely hard for athletes to stay positive in
these slumps they may experience when they aren t getting any hits. Another mental aspect of baseball
is the fears players must overcome to be successful.
The fear of trying to hit a baseball is real. Standing approximately 65 feet away from someone who is
throwing a small ball, that feels like a rock, 95 miles per hour is scary. Not only is this ball coming in
very fast, but this ball can kill

Risk Analysis. A Risk Analysis Was Prepared As Part Of
Risk Analysis
A risk analysis was prepared as part of the review of Ford as a potential investment opportunity. The
Capital Asset Pricing Model defines the relevant risk of an individual stock as the amount of risk that
the stock contributes to the market portfolio (Brigham Ehrhardt, 2014, p. 250). The risk of a stock can
be measured by its beta. The higher the beta of a stock, the higher the risk. Stocks with a beta below
one are less volatile than the market while stocks with a beta of greater than one are more volatile than
the market. Well diversified portfolios include a stocks with both high and low betas (Brigham
Ehrhardt, 2014, p. 250).
According to Yahoo Finance, Ford s beta as of December 3, 2016 is 1.22 (Yahoo Finance ... Show

Rather, a subscription type model may be the future. Customer would sign up for a subscription
service offered by companies like Uber or Lyft rather than owning or leasing their own vehicle. This
has the potential to dramatically decrease the total number of vehicles needed in the United States and
across the world. The business model for the automobile industry is much more profitable at high
sales volumes. If those volumes decrease dramatically, as they did with the economic disruption in
2007, there is the potential that some automobile manufactures will not survive (Ferraras, 2014).
Recommendation
A thorough analysis of Ford, including economic, financial, and risk factors has been completed by
the financial investment team. This analysis was then reviewed to determine if Ford would be an ideal
addition to the client s investment portfolio. As stated earlier, the team is looking to add a large
domestic value stock with a low risk. After considering all available data and key factors, the team
does not recommend an investment in Ford at this time.
Ford has a strong brand and appears to be a well run business. The company has a stellar reputation
and compares favorably to its competitors when analyzing the key financial ratios. Ford has been in
business for over 100 years, surviving multiple world wars and severe economic downturns. If the
team was picking the best automobile company to invest in, Ford would be near the

Summary Of The Speech Of Miss Polly Baker
Ben Franklin is known for a slew of accomplishments in his life as a Founding Father of the United
States. An inventor and author, among other occupations, Ben Franklin grew quite a fan base in his
lifetime, despite having such progressive beliefs. One of his most progressive pieces of writing, The
Speech of Miss Polly Baker, discusses the inequality surrounding laws against having children outside
of marriage, specifically regarding how it impacted women. In Benjamin Franklin s The Speech of
Miss Polly Baker, Franklin uses wit to effectively argue that the sexist punishments of laws against
having children out of wedlock are absurd by appealing to the reader s ethos, logos, and pathos
through the voice of Polly Baker (Franklin, 242 44).
Ben Franklin appeals to the reader s ethos by having Polly reference her character and her similar
beliefs with the judge. On numerous occasions, Polly touts her character to the judge in order to
establish trust which, in turn, establishes trust with the reader. She states that she has lived an
inoffensive life and asks for the judge to ask her enemies if she has ever harmed a soul, for she does
not believe she has (Franklin, 242). Polly also only uses polite terms to reference the judge, though
this can also be seen as a light form of mocking from Ben Franklin, as she always calls him
Honourable when she also disagrees with him fervently (242). Moreover, Polly references the past
four times she has been sentenced and how she has

Council Of Trent Research Paper
Rose: Hey, what council did you write as the most important to the history of the Catholic Church?
Jasmine: I wrote the Second Vatican Council.
Rose: Really? I chose Council of Trent.
Jasmine: Why?
Rose: Well, I mean typically, Councils and meetings are called by the Pope when new heretic
teachings are told, or a reform is needed, and the Catholic Church must rectify the teachings and
inform the public of the the true meanings.
And, in my opinion, the Council of Trent was obviously one of the most, if not the most important
reformation in the Church history. The Council was held during the mid 16th Century, and dealt with
the increasingly growing, new and radical Protestant Church. The response of the Catholic Church s

was growing at an extremely fast pace and all the radical changes to social order, roles and society.
Especially since the events of World War I and II, which no longer painted war as an illustrious heroic
thing. It was to address the Churches relation to the modern world.
Originally, the Catholic Church had seen itself as an fortress against the modern world, with many
Popes refusing to leave Vatican city. They believed that religious liberty as a human right and
considered the modern world a horrible place to live. Pope John XXIII had realised that the world had
changed too much in the past century, and the Church would need to change with it. He had wanted to
change the Churches image to something that would understand and accept others.

the police officer arrived, they had charged mark with an invasion of privacy for violating the terms of
the protective order and public intoxication. Then the state of Indiana charged mark with attempted
murder, a jury trial was held and the jury found Mark guilty. Mark was sentenced to twenty five years
in prison and after completing his time five years of probation. The Indiana court had accepted mark

his acts were a preparation for the murder. The acts that mark had done makes the courts believe that
mark was going to go through with the crime. The facts that were presented to the jury would make
them believe that Mark had to take the substantial step for the crime of attempted murder. If Mark was
awake, was going into the hospital, and opened to door, Mark would be guilty of attempted murder.
The Indiana Supreme Court made a decision that mark was not guilty of attempted murder. Mark was

The Health Status Of The United States
The health status of the population in the United States is a national priority. The Healthy People 2020
outlines priorities and to improve the health of individuals and communities across the country.
Healthy People 2020 is defined as a comprehensive set of national objectives for improving the health
of all Americans (Healthy People 2020, n.d, para. 1). The Healthy people 2020, is aimed at improving
the health of individuals and communities and envisions a society in which all people live long,
healthy lives (Healthy People 2020, n.d, para 4). A short priority list was developed and contains
twenty six objectives knowns as Leading Health Indicators (LHI). The list of objectives was created to
prioritize health issues that must be addressed and to find appropriate actions to take in order to
improve the health of the population.
During the evaluation of the objectives in the (LHI) and the analysis of the perceived health of the
community, three key factors were identified as potential health problems including children exposure
to a second hand smoke, obesity among adults, and limited access to dental care. The identification of
the LHI perceived as problems was based on personal observation and perception from community
members.
An observation was made during It is not uncommon in the community to observe drivers smoking
cigarettes while having children in the back seat of a vehicle. Children with disadvantaged

The Mexican Cartel, The Sinaloa Cartel
The Mexican Cartel
Imagine living with your family and having a fear of leaving your house or even being in it? Many
Mexican citizens are being killed by the narcotics in Mexico. Mexicans are not living in peace in their
cities. Narcs never really had a time where it started, it always been around, of course it has increased,
but there is no specific date or year. Important groups of the cartel is the Sinaloa cartel, the Beltran
Leyva Organization and many more. This issue is important because it is ruining many families in
Mexico, uncles, fathers, sons, daughters, mothers and aunts are being murdered. This informs you on
what is hurting the heart and families of Mexico. For me it is important because I m Mexican and it
hurts to see those in Mexico, losing their loved ones.
Over the past couple of decades, drug cartels have skyrocketed in different countries especially in
Mexico. With wars like these, there is violence everywhere around Mexico. In a fairly recent article,
called Mexican Military Runs Up Body Count in Drug War by Azam Ahmed and Eric Schmitt, it
explains how the cartel is starting to be a lot more powerful over mexican soldiers. In the article it
states, The Mexican authorities say the nation s soldiers are simply better trained and more skilled
than the cartels they battle.... But experts who study the issue say Mexico s kill rate is practically
unheard of (NY Times, 3) . This shows that they could be possibly hiding something away from the
public. Just

Written Assignment Unit 4: Four Types of Consumer Offerings
I am going to explain the four types of consumer offerings and how they differ from one another. First,
what is a consumer offering? A consumer offering can be a product (tangible good), an intangible
service, or a combination of both, that is offered to the public (customers and potential customers) at a
price. There are four general categories of consumer offerings, and they are, convenience offerings,
shopping offerings, specialty offerings, and unsought offerings. These categories of offerings are not
distinguished by the offering itself, but by the way that the consumer wants to purchase the offering.
Therefore, an offering might fall into a different category for one ... Show more content on

Therefore, consumers are willing to put more thought, effort, time and planning into purchasing these
offerings. Shopping offerings have a more specific target market, and are not generally found
everywhere like a convenience offering. Brand names and familiarity, along with reviews and
recommendations, often play a role in shopping offerings category. A good example for me was when
I went to get my first pair of running shoes. I spoke to several people I knew that were avid runners
and they all told me to go to a store that specializes in running shoes and have them properly fit you
for shoes. I researched online local stores that specialized in running shoes and picked the one with the
best reviews and ratings. I went there for a good pair of running shoes (product) and more importantly
their expertise in properly fitting me for the running shoes (service). Other examples of shopping
offerings I have purchased are my mobile phone, computer, hotel stays, clothing, furniture, tools and

William Allen White Rhetorical Analysis
Exposing corruption and standing up for the good of the people are often considered to be some of the
most important duties of journalists. Many believe that the purpose of the media is to provide
beneficial information to the public, even when this information is controversial.
Journalists throughout history have gone through great lengths to fight corruption and fraud in society.
These people are known as muckrakers. One prominent muckraker was William Allen
White, a newspaper editor from Kansas who fought against populism and championed progressive
ideals. White s most notable contributions and characteristics include his famous editorial, What s the

The employees often used his office as a quick route between the two, a habit that White encouraged.
White had the option of a private office in the building, but he preferred being in close proximity to
his employees. White purchased the Gazette
for $3,000 in 1895, and maintained ownership of it for the rest of his life (University of Kansas). His
time there would lead to him being awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1923 for his editorial, To an Anxious
Friend, which advocated for free speech (Encyclopedia Britannica). In 1947, White posthumously
received another Pulitzer for his autobiography (Find a Grave).
Writing What s the Matter with Kansas? , making his voice known in politics, recognizing the
importance of family, and working at The Emporia Gazette
are only a few of the many things White should be remembered for. His fight for integrity in politics
and journalism is still relevant today, especially in a time where the validity of the media is questioned

Global Assessment of Biodiversity and the Anthropogenic...
The global assessment of biodiversity and the anthropogenic impacts on them should be an urgent
priority for conservation biologists. Though overhunting, introduced species, habitat destruction,
trophic cascades and climate change (evil quintet) are known to be the potential anthropogenic threats
that are likely to drive extinctions in the future (Diamond 1984, Brook et al. 2008), more frequently,
conservation biologists have focused their attention on visible threats like habitat destruction, in
comparison with invisible threats like overhunting (Galetti Dirzo 2013). Traditional biodiversity
assessments often ignore hunting pressure though they are aware of its presence, or classify into ways
(e.g., heavy, moderate or low hunting) that are unsuitable for auditing by other researchers (Galetti
Dirzo 2013). For example, what might be classified as heavy hunting pressure by one biologist can be
classified as low hunting pressure by another. Moreover, also within the hunting classifications of a
biologist, what is the difference between heavy, moderate and low hunting pressure? The use of
different standards makes auditing of hunting pressure difficult. Here we ask how to measure the
intensity of hunting pressure. Knowing this answer will help us better understand the effects of
hunting on biodiversity loss and set conservation priorities more efficiently. Flight initiation distance
(FID) is the distance between prey and the predator/hunter when animal begins to flee. If

  • 2. Diego Rivera Historical Figures My historical figure was Diego Rivera. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico in 1886. Although he traveled to different places for his profession of painting and muralisting, his birth and death place was in Mexico, his home country. Diego s early life consisted of school, traveling, and drawing. He was inspired by the artist Jose Posada. At the age of ten, Diego attended the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City. He then traveled to Europe at the age of twenty one, where he was able to work with other artists. He is known for painting art that reflects the lives of people and the environment. For example, he would paint the lives of the working class and natives that lived in Mexico. While in Italy, Diego then found a liking for painting murals which he brought back home to Mexico where the government funded him to create a series of murals. These murals reflected the country s people and it s history. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He painted some more murals which caused disagreement. Effects Of Hiv-1 Pathogenesis In the absence of a cure for HIV Type 1 (HIV 1) pathogenesis, highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) are designed to suppress viral replication and maintain it at low to undetectable levels (Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Due to their high intrinsic antiviral activity, the introduction of HIV 1 protease inhibitors (PIs) have led to a dramatic reduction in morbidity and mortality rates of HIV 1 infected patients (Codoner et al, 2017). HIV 1 protease inhibitors are peptidomimetics, or substrate or transition state analogs that mimic natural peptides or proteins and retain the ability to interact with the original protein s biological target, that competitively targets the hydrophobic P2 P2 domain in the active site (Prabu Jeyabalan et ... Proteolytic processing of the Gag polyprotein results mature HIV 1 structural proteins: p17 matrix (MA), p24 capsid (CA), p7 nucleocapsid (NC), p6 domains, and two spacer peptides, SP1 and SP2. Each of these HIV 1 structural proteins play a crucial role in the HIV 1 retroviral replication cycle. MA is responsible for targeting Gag to the plasma membrane and promoting the incorporation of viral envelop glycoproteins into the forming virions; CA drives Gag multimerization during assembly to form the Gag lattice that encapsidates the viral RNA genome; NC recruits the viral RNA genome into the virions; and the p6 domain recruits the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) apparatus that catalyzes the membrane fission step responsible for the budding off of new virions from the infected cell (Freed, 2015). Due to the infidelity of HIV 1 reverse transcriptase, HIV 1 protease, as with all other HIV proteins, undergoes frequent mutation (Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Despite the high genetic barrier, or sufficient number of critical drug resistance mutations to overcome the anti HIV activity of a drug regimen, of PI, selective pressure induced by PIs have been seen to be associated with drug resistance mutations at both the active site of HIV 1 protease and Gag polyprotein (Codoner et al, ... Various data mining techniques are clustering, classification, association analysis, regression, summarization, time series analysis and sequence analysis, etc. Clustering is one of the important tasks in mining and is said to be unsupervised classification. Clustering is the techniques which is used to group similar objects or processes. In this work four clustering algorithms (K Means, Farthest first, EM, Hierarchal) have been analyzed to cluster the data and to find the outliers based on the number of clusters. Clustering plays an important role in data mining process. Clustering is the approach of grouping the data into classes or clusters so that the objects within each cluster have high similarity in comparison with one another[12].The common approach of clustering techniques is that to find cluster centroid and then the data are clustered. Several clustering techniques are partitioning methods, hierarchical methods, density based methods, grid based methods, model based methods and constraint based clustering. Clustering is a challenging field of research in which its potential applications pose their own requirements [4]. Clustering is also called as the data segmentation because clustering method partitions the large data sets into smaller data groups according to their similarities. The main objective of cluster analysis is to increase intra group similarity and inter group dissimilarity. Detecting outlier is one of the important tasks. A failure to detect outliers or their ineffective handling can have serious ramifications on the strength of the inferences drained from the exercise [4]. Outlier detection has direct applications in a wide variety of domains such as mining for anomalies to detect network intrusions, fraud detection in mobile phone industry and recently for detecting terrorism related activities [5].Outliers are found using the filters which is offered by data mining tools. She was recently prescribed a new medication by her physician, which she cannot afford. As Mrs. Jones nurse, it is my responsibility to advocate for her by providing education and sharing information on the multiple different avenues available to decrease the cost of the medication prescribed. I will identify three strategies in which I can help Mrs. Jones afford her medication. First, I will provide education on her insurance plan and explain Medicare Drug Plans and their enrollment process. Secondly, I will identify a financial assistance program which she might qualify for. Finally, I will identify different ways to lower the cost of the medication such as coupons, drug discount cards, switching to a generic medication, and store programs ( Prescription Drug, 2014). All of these options are a solution to Mrs. Jones problem. In the meantime, it may be beneficial to obtain free samples from the physician s office if possible, but this only makes sense if there is a strong likelihood that she will eventually be able to afford the new medication. First, I must assess Mrs. Jones understanding of her insurance plan. Is she even aware that she doesn t have prescription drug coverage? Of great significance is the fact that Saul s conversion experience is recounted three times in Acts. Scholars note this as being an important fact regarding the writings. The imagery of blindness is brought to the forefront. The Ethiopian eunuch is studying God s Law to seek out the truth, rather than having truth thrust upon him by a blinding light. McDonough, Sean M. Small Change: Saul to Paul, Again. The reason that this control is important is because this is where the inventoried products or services leave the company and is reassigned to the customer. Proper authorization is important; employees performing each of these steps should sign transfer documents so they can be held accountable. This control procedure will prevent misappropriation the goods or shipping the product to friends without billing them (Louwers et al., 2007, p. 254). The son of a hand weaver, Carnegie received his only formal education during the short time between his birth and his move to the United States. Morgan s United States Steel Corporation in 1901 for $400 million, which would be a little over $4 billion today! After retiring, Carnegie s fortune was estimated to be as large as half a billion dollars. From that time on, with the philosophy that the rich have a moral obligation to give away their money, he devoted himself to philanthropy. Although ironic, this man of great fortune strongly believed in the merits of poverty for the development of character and work ethic, and determined that wealthy men should not leave their fortunes to their children, but should give it away, claiming The man who dies thus rich, dies disgraced. In the third line, his new appearing sight, also reinforces this imagery of the sun rising each day. After the case for solipsism is made, I intend to describe a possible line of rebuttal from Kant s perspective that could be made to the charge. The issue of solipsism is intriguing in that it seems to be universally rejected as a basis of metaphysics. Yet, the modern tradition has had difficulty supporting this rejection. Once we concede...that the immediate objects of sense experience are mind dependent (ideas, impressions, sense data, etc.), it is indeed questionable whether we can argue validly to the existence or nature of a mind independent external world. (Flew: 330) Within the Critique of Pure Reason, Kant affirms that our capacity to perceive objects in the external world is dependent upon the subject s imposition of certain conditions of the possibility of experience. Time, space and the categories are among these. Thus, human beings are capable of viewing only the appearance and not things as they are in themselves. Now a thing in itself cannot be known through mere relations; and we may therefore conclude that since outer sense gives us nothing but mere relations, this sense can contain in its representation only the relation of an object to the subject, and not the inner properties of the object in itself. This also holds true of inner sense, not only because the representations of the outer senses constitute the proper material with which we occupy our mind, but because the time in which we set these representations, which is itself antecedent to the consciousness of them in experience, and which underlies them as the formal condition of the mode in which we posit them in the ... The space and community play a valuable role in the creative process of designing an urban condition. Designing the spaces between the buildings is just as important and designing the building itself. In the following essay, I will discuss the main critical elements necessary to design a spatially rich urban condition. To begin, public space assists in the creation of a memorable urban condition. Public space is what makes any city different from any other. You may either have a very dense or spacious city . However, the matter how you position your public space will change the perspective of others. A public space can be the main entrance into the city or it can also, be in the center of a city. The public space is defined by its surroundings, depending on the facade of the building and the shape of it. A public space is supposed to represent the main space in an urban condition. • 20. The Language Gap Between First And Second Generation... One out of every four children in the United States lives with at least one foreign born parent, and eighty eight percent of those children are second generation (Zong). Second generation immigrants typically acquire the language spoken in the receiving country (their second language, the L2) when old enough to leave the household for schooling, while their parents first generation immigrants retain their native language (the L1). While childhood arrivals effortlessly acquire the L2, higher wage returns and better job opportunities are typically prerequisite incentives for older immigrants to invest in learning the L2 (Isphording). As described by the Sapir Whorf hypothesis, the language one speaks determines how one conceptualizes the world a phenomenon also known as linguistic relativity ( sapir whorf hypothesis. ). Similar to this is linguistic determinism, which dictates that the process of thought and mental categorization of input is also affected by language. With cognition so directly affected by language, the language gap between first and second generation immigrants allows the two groups to have very different conceptualizations of the world. Second generation immigrants typically find difficulty in coping with the clash of the native culture and language instilled by their parents and the culture and L2 they acquire in the receiving country. To reconcile this, second generation immigrants forge their own identities by combining parts of each. The resulting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. Is Art Like A Statue Or Painting Move Or Respond When It... Responsive Art Creating art has always been an interest to me. However sometimes I would like to see art become more than a still picture, painting, statue, etc. More recently the way in which a person can make still art come alive is even more interesting. When looking into a project to explore I went to Sciencebuddies.org and answered questions that reflected my interests. By answering these questions the website was able to recommend this subject to me. The more I learned about it the more it fit the interest I have in creating new aspects of art. Art reflects a lot of a persons imagination, but making something move gives the observer even more to reflect upon. My goal with this project is to create a ... Each of the holes in each one of the rows is connected together, so putting wires in that row is like twisting them all together. 2. Start with the 555 timer chip. Look at the top of the chip (pins pointing away from you). Do you see the small indentation at one end, or a small dot in one corner? If your chip has the indentation, hold it so that the indentation is up. The upper left corner is called pin 1. Counting down the left side will be pins 1, 2, 3, and 4. Go back up the right side, starting with the lower right corner. The pins on that side are 5, 6, 7, and 8. Pin 1 is opposite 8, 2 is opposite 7, 3 is opposite 6, and 4 is opposite 5. Knowing which pin is which is critical to making your circuit work. If your chip has a single embossed dot instead of an indentation, that dot is pin 1. Proceed with the pin numbering as is explained in step 2.a. 3. Plug the chip into the breadboard near the middle. If it does not immediately plug into the board, gently squeeze the pins closer and try again. The chip should have four pins on one side of the valley and four on the other. You can look at Figure 5 for a diagram of where to place each part of your circuit, including the 555 timer chip. 4.Pick a few empty rows on each side of the breadboard to serve as positive and negative battery connections. Milk And Honey Personal Response I believe that I know the feeling of pain and love during the same time throughout the story because I have been through the feeling myself, I have carefully witnessed someone I love go through the feeling, and I can sympathize and have empathy towards Kaur s feelings. Milk and Honey is about finding the sweetness from the pain. The poems communicate the pains of Kaur s life; she goes through love, loss, abuse, breaking, and healing. She even fights against violence and stands with femininity without being silenced. However, despite any struggle she comes across, she always knows that there is some happiness coming in the process, even if it is short lived, because sweetness is everywhere when you look hard enough. Playing baseball is the most difficult due to the physical and mental challenges that are performed by the athletes. Baseball is not a sport that any athlete can just pick up and play. Professional baseball players have a season with 162 games before post season. Baseball players aren t the biggest, the strongest, or the fastest. A baseball player can be any size and that is what makes the game so special. Anyone can be a baseball player if they put in the work to do so. Not only do players think while on defense, but also, they are thinking while batting. A player may be batting in certain situations where they know they need to hit the ball to a certain place or get a bunt down at a certain place. Again, this is all happening before they step into the box and react physically to the pitch being thrown. Baseball is a very hard game physically and when players are struggling it is very hard to stay positive mentally. It is hard to get enough to hit and when things are going bad our mind becomes evil. This is where baseball players develop to be mentally tough. Baseball is so hard that if you go 3 out of 10 you are considered one of the greats. In basketball, if a player shoots 3 out of 10 from the free throw line they re going to be terrible. This lone statistic right here shows how much failure is in the game of baseball and how hard it is. It is extremely hard for athletes to stay positive in these slumps they may experience when they aren t getting any hits. Another mental aspect of baseball is the fears players must overcome to be successful. The fear of trying to hit a baseball is real. Standing approximately 65 feet away from someone who is throwing a small ball, that feels like a rock, 95 miles per hour is scary. Not only is this ball coming in very fast, but this ball can kill ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Capital Asset Pricing Model defines the relevant risk of an individual stock as the amount of risk that the stock contributes to the market portfolio (Brigham Ehrhardt, 2014, p. 250). The risk of a stock can be measured by its beta. The higher the beta of a stock, the higher the risk. Stocks with a beta below one are less volatile than the market while stocks with a beta of greater than one are more volatile than the market. Well diversified portfolios include a stocks with both high and low betas (Brigham Ehrhardt, 2014, p. 250). According to Yahoo Finance, Ford s beta as of December 3, 2016 is 1.22 (Yahoo Finance ... • 25. Summary Of The Speech Of Miss Polly Baker Ben Franklin is known for a slew of accomplishments in his life as a Founding Father of the United States. An inventor and author, among other occupations, Ben Franklin grew quite a fan base in his lifetime, despite having such progressive beliefs. One of his most progressive pieces of writing, The Speech of Miss Polly Baker, discusses the inequality surrounding laws against having children outside of marriage, specifically regarding how it impacted women. In Benjamin Franklin s The Speech of Miss Polly Baker, Franklin uses wit to effectively argue that the sexist punishments of laws against having children out of wedlock are absurd by appealing to the reader s ethos, logos, and pathos through the voice of Polly Baker (Franklin, 242 44). Ben Franklin appeals to the reader s ethos by having Polly reference her character and her similar beliefs with the judge. On numerous occasions, Polly touts her character to the judge in order to establish trust which, in turn, establishes trust with the reader. She states that she has lived an inoffensive life and asks for the judge to ask her enemies if she has ever harmed a soul, for she does not believe she has (Franklin, 242). Polly also only uses polite terms to reference the judge, though this can also be seen as a light form of mocking from Ben Franklin, as she always calls him Honourable when she also disagrees with him fervently (242). Moreover, Polly references the past four times she has been sentenced and how she has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

And, in my opinion, the Council of Trent was obviously one of the most, if not the most important reformation in the Church history. The Healthy people 2020, is aimed at improving the health of individuals and communities and envisions a society in which all people live long, healthy lives (Healthy People 2020, n.d, para 4). A short priority list was developed and contains twenty six objectives knowns as Leading Health Indicators (LHI). The list of objectives was created to prioritize health issues that must be addressed and to find appropriate actions to take in order to improve the health of the population. During the evaluation of the objectives in the (LHI) and the analysis of the perceived health of the community, three key factors were identified as potential health problems including children exposure to a second hand smoke, obesity among adults, and limited access to dental care. Over the past couple of decades, drug cartels have skyrocketed in different countries especially in Mexico. With wars like these, there is violence everywhere around Mexico. In a fairly recent article, called Mexican Military Runs Up Body Count in Drug War by Azam Ahmed and Eric Schmitt, it explains how the cartel is starting to be a lot more powerful over mexican soldiers. In the article it states, The Mexican authorities say the nation s soldiers are simply better trained and more skilled than the cartels they battle.... First, what is a consumer offering? A consumer offering can be a product (tangible good), an intangible service, or a combination of both, that is offered to the public (customers and potential customers) at a price. There are four general categories of consumer offerings, and they are, convenience offerings, shopping offerings, specialty offerings, and unsought offerings. • 33. Global Assessment of Biodiversity and the Anthropogenic... The global assessment of biodiversity and the anthropogenic impacts on them should be an urgent priority for conservation biologists. Though overhunting, introduced species, habitat destruction, trophic cascades and climate change (evil quintet) are known to be the potential anthropogenic threats that are likely to drive extinctions in the future (Diamond 1984, Brook et al. 2008), more frequently, conservation biologists have focused their attention on visible threats like habitat destruction, in comparison with invisible threats like overhunting (Galetti Dirzo 2013). Traditional biodiversity assessments often ignore hunting pressure though they are aware of its presence, or classify into ways (e.g., heavy, moderate or low hunting) that are unsuitable for auditing by other researchers (Galetti Dirzo 2013). For example, what might be classified as heavy hunting pressure by one biologist can be classified as low hunting pressure by another. Moreover, also within the hunting classifications of a biologist, what is the difference between heavy, moderate and low hunting pressure? The use of different standards makes auditing of hunting pressure difficult. Here we ask how to measure the intensity of hunting pressure. Knowing this answer will help us better understand the effects of hunting on biodiversity loss and set conservation priorities more efficiently.
