A Research Study On Stem Cell Therapy
Introduction
Stem cells are homogeneous cells found in the human body which have potential to change into, or
differentiate into a range of specific types of cells (Stoppler, 1996). The refurbishment and protection
of many adult tissues are safeguarded by stem cells (SCs) which exist in the top of the cellular sorting
section of these tissues (Beck, 2013). Practical assessments, such as transplantation, in vitro
clonogenic assesses (technique used to study efficacy of exact agents in terms of the proliferation and
endurance of cells) and in vivo lineage tracing, have been undertaken to evaluate the repairing and
differentiation capability of normal SCs (Beck, 2013). Currently, research is on going to resolve
whether stem cell therapy is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Minimal research findings and reports have been written on the role of side population (SP) cells in
human nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). This literature review will evaluate the 2007 research article
on, Identification of Cancer Stem Cell Like Side Population Cells in Human Nasopharyngeal
Carcinoma Cell Line, by Wang, Guo, Chen, Zeng and Lu, and determine whether SP cells in human
NPC are viable as an aid in efficient drugs and therapeutic strategies which target NPC Cancer stem
cells (CSC) (Wang, Guo, Chen, Zeng, Lu, 2007).
Review of Underpinning Science
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) give rise to the movement of cancer from one section of the body to another,
and are located in several tumour varieties. The unique properties of stem cells which make them
different from normal cells are; their unspecialised nature, capability to give rise to specialised cell
types and ability to divide and renew themselves (Bethesda, 2015). These stem cell properties can be
used to classify CSCs, and therefore can enable them to treat NPC. A major result of this manipulation
process is the ability the cell can have to extrude dyes such as Hoechst 33342 through the ATP binding
cassette (which encloses membrane proteins that transfer an extensive array of substrates) (Dean,
2002)(Wu, C., Alman, B. A., 2008). Importantly, SP cells are a source of research as they contain these
stem cell characteristics and are therefore able to exclude the Hoechst 33342 dye. This

Becker, H. S. (2010). How to Find Out How to Do Qualitative Research. International Journal Of
Communication (19328036), 4545 553.
Background: In 2009 the National Science Foundation held a conference and issued a document about
qualitative methods what they are lacking. This article pointed out the shortcomings of that report. The
NSF went so far has to tell researches using qualitative methods to learn real science defined as
theoretically derived, testable hypotheses, with methods of data gathering in order to get NSF grants.
This would throw out case studies and surveys, which allow unique research insights and are often the
start of bigger ideas. Becker (2010) counters that good qualitative data is based around interpreting
data as you get it. When conducting research the researchers may not know very much about their
object of study and as they learn, it raises more questions, allowing researcher to gather more data and
better interpretations.
Commentary: This article focused on qualitative research, for both experimental and non experimental
data. Such as surveys, questionnaires, and case studies. This would be useful when designing a
qualitative study to know researchers may have to go back and re think their design even in the data
collection part of the study.

Mr. Burns, A Post Electric Play
With the title alone, it is easy to assume that Mr. Burns, A Post Electric Play would not be a typical
play. Unlike other performances, Mr. Burns is not a simple narrative. Quite literally, it is a play within
a play. The narrative lacks structure due to how it stands as a social commentary on the importance of
entertainment to society. Mr. Burns began after what seems to be a traumatic event that has affected
everyone s way of life. From what we see as our survivors huddled around a campfire in the woods.
They recount a normalcy of how life used to be, an episode of The Simpsons. Throughout the recounts
on what happened in the episode Cape Feare , the play introduces a new character which gives
exposition to the current landscape of the United States. As the play continues into its second and third
act, there is a large shift on the scenery, lighting, etc. as the cast begins to recreate the episode of The
Simpsons which they discuss in the previous act. While it is easy to get lost on why everything is
happening, why they are performing, it comes to the central conflict of reclaiming normalcy of the
world which has past, an episode of television. As the performance goes on, the costume design
represents where our characters are at in their timeline. While, in the first act, the characters are
dressed in stereotypical post apocalyptic attire, it does vary in from what we are presented in the last
two acts. Around the campfire, the characters are dressed in

Mr. Franco Case Summary
Mr. Franco presented with concerns about some recent health issues that his doctor said may have to
do with his drinking. He was a heavy drinker in his younger years and had cut back due to high blood
pressure and stomach problems. Mr. Franco had started drinking more recently, due to his wife s death
and the loneliness he was feeling, plus he was having more arthritis pain than usual. After asking Mr.
Franco a couple of preliminary questions it was decided that the AUDIT needed to be administered.
Mr. Franco s score on the AUDIT was thirteen, which is in the risky zone. It was explained to Mr.
Franco that his score indicated that his health issues could be related to his drinking and that he
needed a plan to help him cut down on his drinking.

Setting Up Sucide Prevention Programs
Throughout their education, children sit through countless bullying and sex education programs, but
suicide, the third leading cause of adolescent deaths (Caine 1), is practically ignored. Many schools
only offer hot lines for suicidal students. While some schools have implemented suicide prevention
programs and the government has recognized teenage suicide as a growing problem, effective
solutions need to be discovered and funded to prevent these catastrophic deaths. The U.S. federal
government should develop and fund suicide prevention programs in high schools, while focusing on
strategies ranging from coping mechanisms to drug intervention and screening methods. As a growing
cause of death for teenagers, suicide is a crucial issue in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By creating programs that effectively reduce the number of suicides, costs will decrease, because in
2005, the estimated cost of suicide was more than $34.6 billion arising from 32,637 deaths and
including medical costs and inferred lost work (Caine 1). Thus, suicide is not only a personal problem
anymore, but also a drastic national, economic issue, that needs more government attention. Better
governmental legislation that provides effective prevention programs in high schools is a logical way
to solve this problem, because the school is a nexus for teen life and, therefore, uniquely poised as a
context in which to address teen suicide (Cooper 696). Furthermore, the government requires and
regulates school attendance, so it is only reasonable that the government protects students from harm.
However, current governmental legislation and prevention strategies aimed toward high school
students have not made the necessary impact to combat rising suicide rates. Even after implementation
of The New Freedom Commission, there have been many suicide prevention programs that have been
developed, but very few that show statistically significant effectiveness (696). For example, telephone
crisis programs and drop in centers have not reduced the suicide rates; widespread treatment for
depression has not lessened suicide. In fact, suicide from tricyclic antidepressant medication has
increased in the last few years (Westermeyer 108). Therefore, these issues call for

Jorge Luis Borges Irony
The writing styles of Edgar Allen Poe and Jorge Luis Borges are very in sync when it comes to literary
devices such as irony, imagery, setting and so on. In many of their stories, the authors demonstrate
their extraordinary technique through the short story The Purloined Letter written by Poe and The
Garden of Forking Paths written by Borges. Piquing the readers mind and causing a sensation of awe
at the end their story, they entice the reader to experience a whole new world of literature, forcing the
reader to scrutinize the text in a manner, in which a pedestrian reader would find complex. These
authors are one when it comes to painting an imagine , however differences do occur within the actual
use of literary devices that both authors ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the suspense until the very end, in which pace of the story is slow, leaving the readers to at the edge of
their seats. Everything that the reader had questioned was answered, whereas Poe s end still left the
reader with unanswered questions. What does the letter say? Who sent it? What s the sender s
relationship to the lady? The readers do not know as much as they did in the beginning. In addition,

Murder, Manslaughter, And Justifiable Homicide
In the United States the degrees by which a person can be charged with killing another person vary;
the degrees of murder include first, second, and third degree murder, the definitions of which can vary
in legal terms from state to state. These charges are considered to be legally separate from voluntary
manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, and justifiable homicide which each have their own
definitions (Cole, Smith, DeJong, 2014). Each type of murder, manslaughter and homicide is
determined by intent and negligible behavior and each will be examined in this paper (Cole et al.,
2014).
Murder
First Degree Murder
Murder has not always been defined by degrees by which the act took place, before the separation
began, murder of any type was a capital offense punishable by death. The state of Pennsylvania in
1793 was the first state to legally distinguish different degrees of murder, possibly to reduce the
amount of murders that resulted in capital punishment (Levinson, 2002). In most states today, first
degree murder is commonly defined as the unlawful, willing, and premeditated murder of another
human being committed with malice aforethought, which is used to indicate a person intended to kill
another person (Berman, n.d.). All states approach murder charges with variations on the same basic
principle, intent.
Second Degree Murder
Like all degrees of murder, second degree murder varies from state to state however in general terms it
is referred to as the unlawful killing

My Experience In Singapore
A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions. These words by
Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. perfectly describe how my travel experience in Singapore this past summer
has changed my life. Traveling to Singapore has been an item on my bucket list that I never thought I
would ever be able to accomplish at such a young age. Through my travel, I had the opportunity to
immerse myself in the culture by living life as a local while visiting the major tourist spots that the
country had to offer. I also had firsthand experience with the Singaporean lifestyle and I was so
amazed by the beauty of the country. Because of this, my travel to Singapore has given me a new
perspective on countries and has broadened my horizons in terms of travelling to a new place. On July
31st, 2017, my trip to Singapore commenced with a four hour flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at
seven o clock in the morning. Despite having woken up just a few hours after midnight and running
very low on sleep, I was euphoric that I was finally given an opportunity to visit such a multi cultured
country. As the airplane began to ascend, I leaned back into the stiff seat and gripped on the armrest
because although I have flown a couple of times in the past, I always seemed to get nauseous and
apprehensive. However, my nausea soon subsided when the airplane levelled out and the flight
attendants strolled along the aisles to distribute snacks. Shortly after, I peeked out the window and
admired the thin wisps of clouds in the dawn sky until I succumbed to my much needed slumber. I
woke up from my nap when I felt a light tap on my shoulder by my brother, Alex. He told me that it
was time for the plane to begin its descent so I gathered my belongings and adjusted my seat until it
was upright. As the airplane began to descend, I was filled with excitement and enthusiasm. I could
feel so much energy rush through my veins as my ears popped and I finally heard the flight attendant
say, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Singapore Changi Airport! As soon as I stepped off of the
airplane, I was met with many fluorescent lights lining the lofty ceilings and glass windows
showcasing the modernistic architecture Singapore was

Nuclear, Coal, Natural Gas, And Solar
Nuclear, coal, natural gas, and solar. These four are known for being the major sources of energy. All
have pros and cons that are pretty much well known. Solar is renewable but expensive. Natural gas is
cheap but damages the environment. Nuclear has a large power generating capacity but is dangerous
and coal abundant and cheap but is just too dirty. What if there was a fifth type of fuel? A so called
invisible fuel. The cheapest and cleanest energy choice that is often over looked, efficiency. An article
in The Economist by Chris Madden reviews and discusses this invisible fuel at length. The article
begins by discussing the strives that have been made regarding efficiency since the 1970 s but
mentions that there is still significant improvements that can be made. It mentions a report by the
American Energy Efficiency Group that reviews the cost of saving a kilowatt hour vs the cost of
producing a kilowatt hour. The report states that in some cases saving a kilowatt hour can cost as low
as one sixth of a cent. According to the article, the single largest chunk of energy consumption is in
the heating and cooling of buildings. This amounts to 31% of total final energy consumption. It
mentions a man named Mr. Liebreich who had difficulty findings builders who were skilled in energy
savings techniques. He had to follow them around to ensure they were properly taping the insulating
boards and follow other energy saving techniques. Mr. Liebreich is not

The Formation Of The United Nations
Indigeneity is a concept that rose internationally as awareness of cultural and minority suppressions
grew in the post World War II sphere. The dissolution of European colonies left behind many unequal
power structures and as nation states defined borders, many local cultural groups became marginalized
and disadvantaged as a result of political hegemony by majority populations. The formation of the
United Nations (U.N.) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights were created to link local and
global communities, bypassing the actions of the nation state, in an attempt to avoid repetition of the
atrocities committed in the early part of the century (Niezen 2003, p.19). Communities involved in
indigenous movements were recognized to differ from other movements, such as civil rights
movement, due to their wish to remain distinct from the dominant population and have their territorial
rights recognized and livelihood respected. This desire to continue cultural and linguistic practices
separate from the norm, and continued residence in an area has been a commonality for groups
seeking indigenous status such as the Maasai and the Ogiek in East Africa.
Indigeneity on a global scale has increasingly gained traction as political movements of indigenism
around the world recognize their commonalities in pursuance of their rights. Definitions of the term
indigenous and what it may stand for have differed due to varying condition and circumstance. The
concepts of being a native

Smoothie Research Papers
I feel a wonderful sensation on my tongue. While drinking my smoothie in my favorite class, Business
and Marketing, and all the students discuss what they want their companies to be associated with in
the future. Along with the other students, I was eager to know what I could see myself doing later in
life. Every morning I grab my blender, my extraordinary dog imprinted cup and lay out my
ingredients: frozen berries, almond butter, chia seeds, and milk. I routinely start off my day by
formulating a smoothie. The approximate preparation time: seven minutes. My difficulty is
deciphering the ideal technique to combine specific ingredients to create a tropical fusion. To start off
a new day, I produce a distinct smoothie; my consciousness wanders toward what ingredients fit
together. Suddenly, I question what sequences would make the ideal blend; I wonder how many
combinations I can execute. What will give me the absolute passion? While I chop up slices into
perfect proportions, I mathematically decipher the number of strawberries to put in the blender. As I
stare at the berry, I consider why there are numerous seeds. Off my train of thought, my mind then ...

Members of the class Chondrichthyes, subclass Elasmobranchii, have been around since the Devonian
period millions of years ago. Most notable of this group of organisms is the shark. Known for its
dangerous appearance, sharks have made many adaptations to survive in aquatic environments. The
marine environment can be extremely dangerous and difficult to survive in. Sharks are faced with
many challenges due to this sort of habitat, especially in regards to oxygen. Oxygen levels in aquatic
environments are very low. As sharks need oxygen to survive, they have many features to help them

As there is more salt in the ocean than in the shark itself, the physiological structures of a shark need
to prevent the water in the cells from osmotically leaving. One such structure is the rectal gland, which

extracellular nitrogen compounds. One of the most important nitrogen compounds are urea. Produced

The Foster Family Character Analysis
Living with family can make life rather complex, especially when dealing with problems, because this
group of people are so close to each other emotionally. It s hard to keep secrets or keep things behind
doors because there s not really a door that can t be opened by everyone. This is especially true with
children and teens going through the ropes of high school. Finding the balance of when a child needs
to be disciplined by the parents and when to let the child be more independent with their problem
solving or even finding a way to have everyone connect to each other while also providing a
comfortable space or bit of a distance from each other can be a hard task for everyone, especially if
there are multiple individuals within the family. This example of a family s interesting dynamics that
come about can be seen in a show called, The Fosters. In this show, the Foster family lives in San
Diego where Stef Foster and Lena Adams (in later seasons being Lena Adams Foster) parent five
children, four of them being foster children and one coming from a previous marriage. The children s
names are Brandon (17yrs old), who is the oldest, Mariana (16) and Jesus (16), who are twins that
were adopted after Stef and Lena got together, and Callie (17) and Jude (13) who are siblings that both
got adopted. Stef is the birth mother of Brandon, coming from a previous relationship with another

B.A. Robinson with the group Ontario Consultants of Religious Tolerance
(http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_deat.htm), tells us that Roman Catholics believe there is
Heaven and that, Those few people whose love for God has been perfected in this life have their
bodies glorified and taken immediately to their eternal reward in Heaven. Perhaps the Virgin Mary, the
Apostles, the saints and some others will qualify for this path. Hell is reserved for those who have
committed a mortal sin which has not been forgiven, or have rejected God, then they are taken
immediately to Hell where they will be tortured forever without any hope of relief or mercy. And
finally, there is Purgatory. This is where a person goes If the person dies in a state of grace, but loves
God imperfectly, then their souls immediately enter Purgatory. Here, they suffer for a time in order to
cleanse themselves of their accumulated imperfections, venial sins and faults. Any mortal sins that
they have committed, and for which they have been forgiven in the Sacrament of Penance, may have
some residual temporal punishment still remaining; this has to be discharged as well. (2010)

The Benefits Of Peaceful Protest
Peacefully protesting to show support of a cause is not harmful to society. In the past, it has been a
technique simply to show you feel that your situation, a law or a proposition is not justified, in your
eyes. Protesting in that way does not damage society, however protests too often escalate to anger and
violence, diminishing the validity of the cause being demonstrated.
Peaceful protest can be an effective and beneficial way to make a point about how many in a
population feel strongly about an issue, yet many protests do not go as intended. The idea is to calmly
make your opinion known, to get noticed and to demonstrate the sheer mass of opposition to a
particular topic. Peaceful protest alone is not harmful, it is simply a group of people ... Show more

Violent protest is divisive it turns citizens away from seeing reason in your stance, costs taxpayers
money for police protection and control and drives people strongly to one side or the other of the
issues protested. The reason that protests are often seen as dangerous is because they can turn sour as
the result of people using this power and ability to demonstrate as a reason to injure and destroy, often
without any connection to the original protested topic. Protesters have been known to break shop
windows, throw bricks at cars and even injure or kill one another in extreme situations. Peacekeepers
attempting to protect the citizens and prevent escalation are often vilified and presented as brutalizing
peaceful protesters.

In reviewing the health and safety report detailing John Schmidt s injury on June 7th, 2015, I concur
with the report s findings that the cause of Mr. Schmidt s was a poorly designed safety guard on the

costly. In fact, the statistics of injuries and cost of those injuries are daunting: ...from 1990 2007, an

accident. However, the importance of this one issue alone is exceedingly weighty. This one accident
could cost us our hardworking employees good health as well as millions of dollars in both correcting
this deficiency and medical expenses. One of our production shop employees, John Schmidt, was

Speech On Indian Food
Once considered the shining jewel in the British Empire s crown, India can today be easily deemed as
the huge, 60 carat diamond in the World s flavored cuisine ring . Indian food is all about variety and is
an example of ancient tradition. The cuisine of the country is characterized by elaborate cooking
techniques and the use of expensive ingredients.
Indian cuisine was introduced to a splendid assortment during the colonial period. The colonial period
introduced European cooking styles to India exhibiting British Influence on Indian Food. In that
period, flexibility and diversity was introduced to the cuisine of India. The history of Indian food tells
us that during the reign of the British Empire in India (the British Raj), the local cuisine was
considered by the Europeans closely to what Gods taught of ambrosia: a delightful, heavenly and
delicate dish. Many times, we ask how the Indian cuisine grew to be so popular, so diverse and so
delightful. In truth, the question is quite dim...from a population of one billion people, is it really that

A Research On An Undergraduate Psychology Student
In the scientific world most arguments are supported by data. In regards to personality, at first glance,
it may seem impossible to collect quantitative data. However, as the text book points there are LOTS
of ways to collect personality data. LOTS is an acronym for L data, life record data, O data, observer
data, T data, test data, and S data, self report data (Cervone Pervin, 2013). So in fact there are
scientific ways to collect data on personality. As an undergraduate psychology student pursuing a

The major problem with observational data is collecting data without the individual or individuals of
interest noticing the observer. If spotted, the individuals of interest may behave differently than in a
true naturalistic setting. T data relies on experiments to collect data. The advantage of using this
method of data collection is that the experimenters have control over the variables being measured,
they can chose which expressed personality characteristics they want to measure and select the
participants they want. Another advantage of using T data is that unlike correlational data, T data can
support causality between two or more variables. While experimental data may be the most
supportive, it is also more challenging to conduct. Experiments require more resources such as money
and personnel, which can limit smaller institutions and psychologists with limited resources from
using T data. In addition to the cost and personnel to run the experiment, it also takes more time to
conduct because the researchers must find enough participants to make the sample size relevant
enough to generalize the results back to the population.
S data is one of the more popular methods for collecting data because of its convenience and cost. The
cost of producing and administering self report material is significantly less than T data for instance.
Additionally, it is more convenient to administer due to the ease of being able to

Long Beach Cemetery Essay
1923, amid all the fighting over oil and a place for a mausoleum, a new model cemetery was
established with an entrance off Cherry Avenue at 1500 E. San Antonio Drive. It really wasn t a new
cemetery, since it incorporated the earlier Palm Cemetery, donated by Jotham Bixby. Long Beach, rich
with oil money, was the largest city in California without a mausoleum. Now, in order to cool down
tempers, building of the mausoleum continued. A new design, drawn up by Cecil E. Bryan Inc.,
Chicago engineers, was selected. The new structure which would contain 3000 crypts, with family
rooms priced as high as $50,000. A brochure from the time states: It is the first mausoleum anywhere
to be equipped with Deagan tower chimes and pipe organ, and the only mausoleum to have an echo

the three chapels into an expanded reception area, relocating the mortuary entrance, adding dozens of

The Negative Effects Of De-Extinction
De extinction: a scientific breakthrough and a process in which humans can use genetic engineering to
bring back a species that was once extinct. Despite how intriguing it is that humans can accomplish
this, the act of using de extinction to bring back different species can be detrimental to the
environments that they are introduced into. Humans can control how they create and modify a species
that they bring back from extinction, an example being which species they use to replicate another
species and the modifications they make for it to be able to thrive. However, once they are let out into
an environment, the control lessens and the species can kill off different creatures and bring diseases
to others, overall having a negative effect. There is no telling what a species will do if it is brought
back from extinction, especially if that particular species died off decades or centuries ago and their
habitat is no longer what it once was. There would be a chance that they would be brought back from
extinction only to go extinct again. De extinction should be avoided because there are too many risks
such as costs, diseases, and the ideology that any species can come back after going extinct. De
extinction is finally emerging and being more widely spoken about as scientists and engineers plan the
process of bringing back the passenger pigeon. This can create a multitude of problems for the planet.
De extinction is the process in which a species is replicated or made similar

Building A Project For Public Welfare
INTRODUCTION
Public private partnership refers to an association between a Government agency and a private sector
organization that intend to complete a project for public welfare. This relationship is basically used to
finance, build and purpose projects like public transportation systems, conference centers and parks.
Aiming for a project to be accomplished on priority or may be sooner can be allowed in the
association with public private partnerships.
Typically, the PPP can be referred neither a privatization not a partial privatization. Privatization has
usually been defined as a course of shifting the ownership, functioning or management of a service or
action wholly or partly, from the government to the private sector.
The key difference between the PPP and privatization is that the responsibility for delivery and
backing a particular activity lies with the private sector in privatization. The PPP, on the other hand,
involves full retention of responsibility by the government for rendering services. Under privatization,
all the risks inherent in the business rest with the private sector while, under the PPP, risks and
rewards are shared between the government and the private sector.
The Indian case
In the Indian circumstance, the term PPP is adopted for developing public assets in various forms as
explained in schemes and modalities. According to Ministry of Finance Government of India, the PPP
project means a project based on a contract or concession agreement,

The World Is Not A Victory Of Freedom
We observe today not a victory of party but a celebration of freedom symbolizing an end as well as a
beginning signifying renewal as well as change. For I have sworn before you and Almighty God the
same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three quarters ago. The world is very
different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and
all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still
at issue around the globe the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but
from the hand of God. We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the
word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new
generation of Americans born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace,
proud of our ancient heritage and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human
rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home
and around the world. Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any
price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival
and the success of liberty. This much we pledge and more. To those old allies whose cultural and
spiritual origins we share, we pledge the loyalty of faithful friends.

Digital Story Project Analysis
At the start of the project, I was a bit nervous and hesitant about how I would go about with the
project, considering I had no video editing/creating experience. I knew that the digital story project
was important and a great opportunity to reach out to others in the community. It was great be a part of
something that can make a difference. When Sara and I first met with Monica for the first time prior to
the real interview, it was a really nice conversation between all three of us. I felt that Monica was
meant to be our interviewee and that it was our mission to share her story. That first interaction with
Monica reminded me of both of my mother here in the U.S. and in Vietnam. It reminded me of how

First, I would make sure that the tape recorder worked properly and that I knew what all the buttons
were. Since it was my first time using a tape recorder, I know I shouldn t blame myself. Secondly, I
would make sure to create a list of questions that was more organized and similar to create a story.
Thirdly, I would make sure that Monica had all the knowledge and resources to communicate with us
and the ability to use her phone/email. This is because we learned that Monica didn t have a lot of
experience with technology and she didn t know how to exactly worked her email. Throughout the
project, we would learn that she had a friend that helped her send emails and so on. If I was given a do

strength and weakness were. I realized that it would ve been easier if the tape recorder worked the first
time we did the interview. Either way, the digital story project was an amazing experience for me and
it truly pushed me out of my comfort zone. I learned that everything is a learning process, and that I
should not be too hard on myself. Now that I have learned the basic of video editing, I am excited to

Moraes and others (2016) found in their study that the children who had been participating in a
hippotherapy program had better functional ability compared to their own pre treatment ability. This
was measured by the completion of a standard questionnaire by the parents of the children. While this
essentially makes the parents the data collectors for this portion of the study, considerable bias is
removed by using a questionnaire with specific self help tasks and daily routine tasks which the
parents then rank based on their child s ability to perform said tasks with or without assistance. This
makes the data more dependable and more acceptable to the scientific community in general. Another

High School
It was 1996. We were seniors in high school, we lived in a lifeless suburb of Sacramento, and we were
always bored. There were three of us then, Jack, Dan, and myself, John. We were an unremarkable
group, and though none of us would have dared to admitted it, we were decidedly unpopular. Not so
much in the sense that we were ever targets of significant harassment. We had never been shoved into
lockers, received undue beatdowns, or been subject to the disdain of the student body, because all of
those require a degree of visibility, which we simply did not posses. Our lives that year were

Inside, a bartender stood indifferently, a cigarette hanging from his lips, as we walked past, he made
no acknowledgment of our existence, no slight nod, no half drunk attempt at a greeting. Across the
bar, a woman stood, topless, one hand gripping a stained pole, gyrating for a small gathering of men,
maybe ten, maybe eleven. The woman was beautiful, no older than twenty five, but her eyes betrayed
stark dispassion, each successive swirl around the pole deepening the bags below her eyes. We sat,
looking on with a mixture of pity and curiosity, cheap vodka burning in the back of our throats, all
knowing that we were thinking the same thing, but no one said a word. We retired to our motel at 2:30
that night, the time at the club had all but disappeared, gone in the trance of the woman s dancing. We
slept late that morning, it was almost noon when we awoke, groggy and hungover. The lobby served
breakfast, bland and cold. Each sip of the tepid, acidic coffee required more labor than it was worth,
and we left unsatisfied. Jack grunted as he pushed on the exterior door, and grimaced at the slice of
sunlight that split his face in two. The air was dry and hot, as we walked, dust welled up from every

Interfaith Essay
Many religions share some of the same values, yet many religions differ greatly from one another. For
example Christianity and Judaism share similar beliefs as one another, where as a religion such as
Islam doesn t correlate with other religions as often. Religions have set beliefs and in many cases a
sacred place or temple, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all aligned in this way; due to the fact that
Israel is know as the biblical holy land to Jews, christians, and muslims. Christianity s holy land is
Israel Jerusalem, which is also the holy land in Judaism. Islam has a number of sacred places, one very
well known and considered to be Islam s most sacred land is the holy city of Mecca.
Christianity is connected with Israel for numerous reasons. Jerusalem (founded in 3000 BC) is
presumed to be the whereabouts of some of Jesus s teaching, the institution of the Holy Eucharist
(Holy Communion/the Lord s Supper), and the Last Supper. Jesus was crucified in Golgotha which is
right outside of Jerusalem according the the New Testament near the city (John 19:20), and outside the
city wall (Hebrews 13:12). The Church of the Sepulchre of Saint Mary (Tomb of the Virgin Mary), in
the Kidron Valley, very near to Mount of Olives in Jerusalem is known as the burial site of Mary, the
mother of Jesus. The Mount of Olives also known as Mount Olivet is a very important place with

Analysis Of Randy Maddox s Visit The Poor
Randy Maddox s article in Transformation 18:1, Visit the Poor , explores social ministry in John
Wesley s Methodism. In this essay I will reflect on some key points, including holy tempers, the
connection between social mission spiritual formation, and the Biblical imperatives for Works of
Mercy. Further to that, I will explain why I find issue with the contrasting doctrine of giving all the
money one can, while undermining the value of only supporting from afar. Finally, I will relate these
points to my own church and faith life and assess their significance.
I find the key note of the article can be summed up as the relationship between works of mercy,
tempers and spiritual formation. Maddox goes to lengths to discuss the connection between ... Show

Summary Of Jean-Jacques Rousseau And Mary Wollstonecraft
Eighteenth century Europe was an incredibly repressive environment for women. Patriarchal
expectations governed not only women s physical and legal rights, but even inhibited their emotional
states. Women were limited solely to the domestic sphere while their brothers, fathers, husbands, and
sons pursued livelihoods outside the home. For a woman to be dissatisfied with the status quo and
yearn for greater purpose than just raising children and obeying a husband was considered abnormal
and unfeminine. Women had very few choices in life and very few opportunities to assert themselves,
but they found that exploiting men through sex and romance was an effective way to gain some form
of autonomy. Two influential political and philosophical authors of the time, Jean Jacques Rousseau
and Mary Wollstonecraft, both found this kind of manipulation to be a prevalent issue. However, while
Rousseau believes that this behavior proves women s cunning and inferior natures, Wollstonecraft is
more forgiving. She argues that if the sexes were equal, women would not be forced to derive power
by influencing men.
In Discourse on the Origin of Inequality, published in 1755, Rousseau attempts to answer the question
of what causes suffering in society. Throughout his treatise, when referring to the human race as a
whole, he uses the word man. The masculine vernacular was an continues to be common shorthand for
humankind, but in this particular case, it is significant. It indicates Rousseau s

Comparison Of First And Second Language Acquisition
Comparison of First and Second Language Acquisition This paper gives a comprehensive comparison
of how acquiring a first language differs from acquiring a new or a second language. It provides the
similarities and differences of the two analogies and gives a critical appraisal of the strengths and
weaknesses of these two issues. Finally, the paper provides personal suggestions and insights for
future research on the same topics. Moreover, the paper will detail the differences between first
language acquisition in the pre school period of learning and second language acquisition at an
advanced or higher classroom level. Acquisition of a second language is one of the most remarkable
aspects of the development of human knowledge and way of communication. It is an unusual
phenomenon that has caught the attention of many researchers especially in the field of learning and
linguistics for generations to come. The first language acquisition and the acquisition of a second
language have been treated in most cases as two distinct analogies thus forming contrivances because
of their differences regarding environment and age. Brown (2000), while differentiating between
attainment of first language and the acquirement of a second or new language contends that the first
emanates from unconscious, and naturalistic use of language and in many instances lead to a person
becoming fluent in conversation, while the second language acquisition symbolizes the cognizant

Anti Catholic Beliefs In America
From being the main religion of the entire Roman Empire to its followers being exiled in the early
Puritan settlements, Catholicism and those who follow it are considered a minority in the American
society. The Puritan religion was the first religious group in the colonies to be actively anti Catholic.
America gained religious tolerance after the American Revolution, but state laws varied on the
practice of religion. The Puritan belief system stayed prevalent throughout the centuries, influencing
anti Catholic groups. Anti Catholic sentiment arises in pop culture because of the misinterpretation in
the Church s doctrine in that it never changes while our society does.

Despite the age of these systems, the Catholic Church continues to operate close to them, similar to
when they were adopted. The misunderstanding and prejudice towards these systems cause many
people to adopt anti Catholic beliefs for contemporary issues in America. The democratic political
system in America clashes with the hierarchical lineage that the Catholic Church possesses. The
problem arises when anti Catholics claim that Catholics are un American because they follow a
hierarchy, rather than the American system of democracy. The democratic system allows the people to
vote for their leader to govern them, however, the Catholic leader, the Pope, is not chosen by the
people of the Catholic Church. Un American criticism continues with the debates and movements on
Sexism and Feminism. As women s roles are changed, the Catholic Church is keeping true to its
origins by keeping the governing body, the priesthood, bishops, Cardinals, and the Pope, a completely
male role. The Church is criticized by many as being sexist and by that, un American, for not allowing
ordination for women. Many Americans / view the church s ban on women s ordination largely in
terms of democratic principles, or rights and representation (Martin). Anti Catholics throw up these
accusations of sexism without contemplating the true role of women in the Catholic Church. Pope
Francis said in an interview Look, in the Church women are more important than men, because the
church is a woman / The Church is the bride of Jesus Christ. And the Madonna is more important that
popes and bishops and priests (Ruiz). This governing structure, as well as other beliefs of the Catholic
Church, seem confusing or silly to post enlightenment ideas. As human philosophy has developed
after the Enlightenment, the Church has kept the doctrine the same. This has not caused the anti
Catholic community to criticize

Pros And Cons Of Offshore Drilling
In today s world, oil plays a very important role in our everyday lives. It is used daily for various
things which includes: transportation, electricity, heat etc. Most of the oils we use either came from
underground drilling or came from other countries. But because of the decrease of supply in oil,
people started to look for alternative ways to find oil. Offshore drilling became the new way of oil
drilling. It is an oil extraction technique that extracts oil from the sea bed. There are both pros and
cons to offshore drilling. In my opinion, the cons outweighs the pros. One of the most obvious pro of
offshore drilling is that it greatly increases the amount of oil we use for fuel and energy, which in
terms helps out our economy. It also allows us to not rely on other countries to supply the oil. This can
help us reduce the oil price because if the oil is produced in our own country, other countries don t
have a say on the oil price. Another pro of offshore drilling is that it creates more job opportunities for
people. Many skilled people are needed to operate the equipment, which opens up doors for new
workers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

emission is put into the atmosphere causes by the drill that is used to drill the seabed. This contributes
to the global warming problem. Another major problem is oil spill. Oil spills causes a lot of damage to
the marine life. It also contaminates the water. All the fishes in the ocean can be contaminated and it

  • 2. A Research Study On Stem Cell Therapy Introduction Stem cells are homogeneous cells found in the human body which have potential to change into, or differentiate into a range of specific types of cells (Stoppler, 1996). The refurbishment and protection of many adult tissues are safeguarded by stem cells (SCs) which exist in the top of the cellular sorting section of these tissues (Beck, 2013). Practical assessments, such as transplantation, in vitro clonogenic assesses (technique used to study efficacy of exact agents in terms of the proliferation and endurance of cells) and in vivo lineage tracing, have been undertaken to evaluate the repairing and differentiation capability of normal SCs (Beck, 2013). Currently, research is on going to resolve whether stem cell therapy is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Minimal research findings and reports have been written on the role of side population (SP) cells in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). This literature review will evaluate the 2007 research article on, Identification of Cancer Stem Cell Like Side Population Cells in Human Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Cell Line, by Wang, Guo, Chen, Zeng and Lu, and determine whether SP cells in human NPC are viable as an aid in efficient drugs and therapeutic strategies which target NPC Cancer stem cells (CSC) (Wang, Guo, Chen, Zeng, Lu, 2007). Review of Underpinning Science Cancer stem cells (CSCs) give rise to the movement of cancer from one section of the body to another, and are located in several tumour varieties. The unique properties of stem cells which make them different from normal cells are; their unspecialised nature, capability to give rise to specialised cell types and ability to divide and renew themselves (Bethesda, 2015). These stem cell properties can be used to classify CSCs, and therefore can enable them to treat NPC. A major result of this manipulation process is the ability the cell can have to extrude dyes such as Hoechst 33342 through the ATP binding cassette (which encloses membrane proteins that transfer an extensive array of substrates) (Dean, 2002)(Wu, C., Alman, B. A., 2008). Importantly, SP cells are a source of research as they contain these stem cell characteristics and are therefore able to exclude the Hoechst 33342 dye. This ... • 3. International Journal Of Communication ( 19328036 ) Essay Becker, H. S. (2010). How to Find Out How to Do Qualitative Research. International Journal Of Communication (19328036), 4545 553. Background: In 2009 the National Science Foundation held a conference and issued a document about qualitative methods what they are lacking. This article pointed out the shortcomings of that report. The NSF went so far has to tell researches using qualitative methods to learn real science defined as theoretically derived, testable hypotheses, with methods of data gathering in order to get NSF grants. This would throw out case studies and surveys, which allow unique research insights and are often the start of bigger ideas. Becker (2010) counters that good qualitative data is based around interpreting data as you get it. When conducting research the researchers may not know very much about their object of study and as they learn, it raises more questions, allowing researcher to gather more data and better interpretations. Commentary: This article focused on qualitative research, for both experimental and non experimental data. Such as surveys, questionnaires, and case studies. This would be useful when designing a qualitative study to know researchers may have to go back and re think their design even in the data collection part of the study. Davis, J., Sandifer Stech, D. • 4. Mr. Burns, A Post Electric Play With the title alone, it is easy to assume that Mr. Burns, A Post Electric Play would not be a typical play. Unlike other performances, Mr. Burns is not a simple narrative. Quite literally, it is a play within a play. The narrative lacks structure due to how it stands as a social commentary on the importance of entertainment to society. Mr. Burns began after what seems to be a traumatic event that has affected everyone s way of life. From what we see as our survivors huddled around a campfire in the woods. They recount a normalcy of how life used to be, an episode of The Simpsons. Throughout the recounts on what happened in the episode Cape Feare , the play introduces a new character which gives exposition to the current landscape of the United States. As the play continues into its second and third act, there is a large shift on the scenery, lighting, etc. as the cast begins to recreate the episode of The Simpsons which they discuss in the previous act. While it is easy to get lost on why everything is happening, why they are performing, it comes to the central conflict of reclaiming normalcy of the world which has past, an episode of television. As the performance goes on, the costume design represents where our characters are at in their timeline. While, in the first act, the characters are dressed in stereotypical post apocalyptic attire, it does vary in from what we are presented in the last two acts. Around the campfire, the characters are dressed in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Mr. Franco Case Summary Mr. Franco presented with concerns about some recent health issues that his doctor said may have to do with his drinking. He was a heavy drinker in his younger years and had cut back due to high blood pressure and stomach problems. Mr. Franco had started drinking more recently, due to his wife s death and the loneliness he was feeling, plus he was having more arthritis pain than usual. After asking Mr. Franco a couple of preliminary questions it was decided that the AUDIT needed to be administered. Mr. Franco s score on the AUDIT was thirteen, which is in the risky zone. It was explained to Mr. Franco that his score indicated that his health issues could be related to his drinking and that he needed a plan to help him cut down on his drinking. ... • 6. Setting Up Sucide Prevention Programs Throughout their education, children sit through countless bullying and sex education programs, but suicide, the third leading cause of adolescent deaths (Caine 1), is practically ignored. Many schools only offer hot lines for suicidal students. While some schools have implemented suicide prevention programs and the government has recognized teenage suicide as a growing problem, effective solutions need to be discovered and funded to prevent these catastrophic deaths. The U.S. federal government should develop and fund suicide prevention programs in high schools, while focusing on strategies ranging from coping mechanisms to drug intervention and screening methods. As a growing cause of death for teenagers, suicide is a crucial issue in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By creating programs that effectively reduce the number of suicides, costs will decrease, because in 2005, the estimated cost of suicide was more than $34.6 billion arising from 32,637 deaths and including medical costs and inferred lost work (Caine 1). Thus, suicide is not only a personal problem anymore, but also a drastic national, economic issue, that needs more government attention. Better governmental legislation that provides effective prevention programs in high schools is a logical way to solve this problem, because the school is a nexus for teen life and, therefore, uniquely poised as a context in which to address teen suicide (Cooper 696). Furthermore, the government requires and regulates school attendance, so it is only reasonable that the government protects students from harm. However, current governmental legislation and prevention strategies aimed toward high school students have not made the necessary impact to combat rising suicide rates. Even after implementation of The New Freedom Commission, there have been many suicide prevention programs that have been developed, but very few that show statistically significant effectiveness (696). For example, telephone crisis programs and drop in centers have not reduced the suicide rates; widespread treatment for depression has not lessened suicide. In fact, suicide from tricyclic antidepressant medication has increased in the last few years (Westermeyer 108). Therefore, these issues call for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Jorge Luis Borges Irony The writing styles of Edgar Allen Poe and Jorge Luis Borges are very in sync when it comes to literary devices such as irony, imagery, setting and so on. In many of their stories, the authors demonstrate their extraordinary technique through the short story The Purloined Letter written by Poe and The Garden of Forking Paths written by Borges. Piquing the readers mind and causing a sensation of awe at the end their story, they entice the reader to experience a whole new world of literature, forcing the reader to scrutinize the text in a manner, in which a pedestrian reader would find complex. • 8. Murder, Manslaughter, And Justifiable Homicide In the United States the degrees by which a person can be charged with killing another person vary; the degrees of murder include first, second, and third degree murder, the definitions of which can vary in legal terms from state to state. These charges are considered to be legally separate from voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, and justifiable homicide which each have their own definitions (Cole, Smith, DeJong, 2014). Each type of murder, manslaughter and homicide is determined by intent and negligible behavior and each will be examined in this paper (Cole et al., 2014). Murder First Degree Murder Murder has not always been defined by degrees by which the act took place, before the separation began, murder of any type was a capital offense punishable by death. The state of Pennsylvania in 1793 was the first state to legally distinguish different degrees of murder, possibly to reduce the amount of murders that resulted in capital punishment (Levinson, 2002). In most states today, first degree murder is commonly defined as the unlawful, willing, and premeditated murder of another human being committed with malice aforethought, which is used to indicate a person intended to kill another person (Berman, n.d.). All states approach murder charges with variations on the same basic principle, intent. Second Degree Murder Like all degrees of murder, second degree murder varies from state to state however in general terms it is referred to as the unlawful killing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. My Experience In Singapore A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions. These words by Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. perfectly describe how my travel experience in Singapore this past summer has changed my life. Traveling to Singapore has been an item on my bucket list that I never thought I would ever be able to accomplish at such a young age. Through my travel, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the culture by living life as a local while visiting the major tourist spots that the country had to offer. I also had firsthand experience with the Singaporean lifestyle and I was so amazed by the beauty of the country. Because of this, my travel to Singapore has given me a new perspective on countries and has broadened my horizons in terms of travelling to a new place. On July 31st, 2017, my trip to Singapore commenced with a four hour flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at seven o clock in the morning. Despite having woken up just a few hours after midnight and running very low on sleep, I was euphoric that I was finally given an opportunity to visit such a multi cultured country. As the airplane began to ascend, I leaned back into the stiff seat and gripped on the armrest because although I have flown a couple of times in the past, I always seemed to get nauseous and apprehensive. However, my nausea soon subsided when the airplane levelled out and the flight attendants strolled along the aisles to distribute snacks. Shortly after, I peeked out the window and admired the thin wisps of clouds in the dawn sky until I succumbed to my much needed slumber. I woke up from my nap when I felt a light tap on my shoulder by my brother, Alex. He told me that it was time for the plane to begin its descent so I gathered my belongings and adjusted my seat until it was upright. As the airplane began to descend, I was filled with excitement and enthusiasm. I could feel so much energy rush through my veins as my ears popped and I finally heard the flight attendant say, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Singapore Changi Airport! As soon as I stepped off of the airplane, I was met with many fluorescent lights lining the lofty ceilings and glass windows showcasing the modernistic architecture Singapore was ... • 10. Nuclear, Coal, Natural Gas, And Solar Nuclear, coal, natural gas, and solar. These four are known for being the major sources of energy. All have pros and cons that are pretty much well known. Solar is renewable but expensive. Natural gas is cheap but damages the environment. Nuclear has a large power generating capacity but is dangerous and coal abundant and cheap but is just too dirty. What if there was a fifth type of fuel? A so called invisible fuel. The cheapest and cleanest energy choice that is often over looked, efficiency. An article in The Economist by Chris Madden reviews and discusses this invisible fuel at length. The article begins by discussing the strives that have been made regarding efficiency since the 1970 s but mentions that there is still significant improvements that can be made. It mentions a report by the American Energy Efficiency Group that reviews the cost of saving a kilowatt hour vs the cost of producing a kilowatt hour. The report states that in some cases saving a kilowatt hour can cost as low as one sixth of a cent. According to the article, the single largest chunk of energy consumption is in the heating and cooling of buildings. This amounts to 31% of total final energy consumption. It mentions a man named Mr. Liebreich who had difficulty findings builders who were skilled in energy savings techniques. He had to follow them around to ensure they were properly taping the insulating boards and follow other energy saving techniques. Mr. Liebreich is not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. The Formation Of The United Nations Indigeneity is a concept that rose internationally as awareness of cultural and minority suppressions grew in the post World War II sphere. The dissolution of European colonies left behind many unequal power structures and as nation states defined borders, many local cultural groups became marginalized and disadvantaged as a result of political hegemony by majority populations. The formation of the United Nations (U.N.) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights were created to link local and global communities, bypassing the actions of the nation state, in an attempt to avoid repetition of the atrocities committed in the early part of the century (Niezen 2003, p.19). Communities involved in indigenous movements were recognized to differ from other movements, such as civil rights movement, due to their wish to remain distinct from the dominant population and have their territorial rights recognized and livelihood respected. This desire to continue cultural and linguistic practices separate from the norm, and continued residence in an area has been a commonality for groups seeking indigenous status such as the Maasai and the Ogiek in East Africa. Indigeneity on a global scale has increasingly gained traction as political movements of indigenism around the world recognize their commonalities in pursuance of their rights. Definitions of the term indigenous and what it may stand for have differed due to varying condition and circumstance. The concepts of being a native ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While drinking my smoothie in my favorite class, Business and Marketing, and all the students discuss what they want their companies to be associated with in the future. Along with the other students, I was eager to know what I could see myself doing later in life. Every morning I grab my blender, my extraordinary dog imprinted cup and lay out my ingredients: frozen berries, almond butter, chia seeds, and milk. I routinely start off my day by formulating a smoothie. The approximate preparation time: seven minutes. My difficulty is deciphering the ideal technique to combine specific ingredients to create a tropical fusion. To start off a new day, I produce a distinct smoothie; my consciousness wanders toward what ingredients fit together. Suddenly, I question what sequences would make the ideal blend; I wonder how many combinations I can execute. What will give me the absolute passion? The marine environment can be extremely dangerous and difficult to survive in. Sharks are faced with many challenges due to this sort of habitat, especially in regards to oxygen. What Is Miss Havisham In the novel, Great Expectations, written by Charles Dickens in a realistic gothic fiction genre, a young boy named Pip grows up and falls in love with a girl named Estella. Miss Havisham influenced Pip in a harmful way throughout the novel due to her ignorance of pain and how she only wanted to exact her revenge on all men for her sadness. The Foster Family Character Analysis Living with family can make life rather complex, especially when dealing with problems, because this group of people are so close to each other emotionally. It s hard to keep secrets or keep things behind doors because there s not really a door that can t be opened by everyone. This is especially true with children and teens going through the ropes of high school. Finding the balance of when a child needs to be disciplined by the parents and when to let the child be more independent with their problem solving or even finding a way to have everyone connect to each other while also providing a comfortable space or bit of a distance from each other can be a hard task for everyone, especially if there are multiple individuals within the family. This example of a family s interesting dynamics that come about can be seen in a show called, The Fosters. In this show, the Foster family lives in San Diego where Stef Foster and Lena Adams (in later seasons being Lena Adams Foster) parent five children, four of them being foster children and one coming from a previous marriage. The children s names are Brandon (17yrs old), who is the oldest, Mariana (16) and Jesus (16), who are twins that were adopted after Stef and Lena got together, and Callie (17) and Jude (13) who are siblings that both got adopted. Stef is the birth mother of Brandon, coming from a previous relationship with another charater named Mike. Just like any typical American family with children, Stef and Lena deal ... In the past, it has been a technique simply to show you feel that your situation, a law or a proposition is not justified, in your eyes. Protesting in that way does not damage society, however protests too often escalate to anger and violence, diminishing the validity of the cause being demonstrated. Peaceful protest can be an effective and beneficial way to make a point about how many in a population feel strongly about an issue, yet many protests do not go as intended. Violent protest is divisive it turns citizens away from seeing reason in your stance, costs taxpayers money for police protection and control and drives people strongly to one side or the other of the issues protested. The reason that protests are often seen as dangerous is because they can turn sour as the result of people using this power and ability to demonstrate as a reason to injure and destroy, often without any connection to the original protested topic. Protesters have been known to break shop windows, throw bricks at cars and even injure or kill one another in extreme situations. Peacekeepers attempting to protect the citizens and prevent escalation are often vilified and presented as brutalizing peaceful protesters. As an example, the Women s March was held at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The March was billeted by some as a backlash against the election of President Trump, as serving notice that America will not cower in the face of bigotry. If spotted, the individuals of interest may behave differently than in a true naturalistic setting. T data relies on experiments to collect data. The advantage of using this method of data collection is that the experimenters have control over the variables being measured, they can chose which expressed personality characteristics they want to measure and select the participants they want. Another advantage of using T data is that unlike correlational data, T data can support causality between two or more variables. While experimental data may be the most supportive, it is also more challenging to conduct. Experiments require more resources such as money and personnel, which can limit smaller institutions and psychologists with limited resources from using T data. In addition to the cost and personnel to run the experiment, it also takes more time to conduct because the researchers must find enough participants to make the sample size relevant enough to generalize the results back to the population. Despite how intriguing it is that humans can accomplish this, the act of using de extinction to bring back different species can be detrimental to the environments that they are introduced into. Humans can control how they create and modify a species that they bring back from extinction, an example being which species they use to replicate another species and the modifications they make for it to be able to thrive. However, once they are let out into an environment, the control lessens and the species can kill off different creatures and bring diseases to others, overall having a negative effect. There is no telling what a species will do if it is brought back from extinction, especially if that particular species died off decades or centuries ago and their habitat is no longer what it once was. There would be a chance that they would be brought back from extinction only to go extinct again. De extinction should be avoided because there are too many risks such as costs, diseases, and the ideology that any species can come back after going extinct. The key difference between the PPP and privatization is that the responsibility for delivery and backing a particular activity lies with the private sector in privatization. The PPP, on the other hand, involves full retention of responsibility by the government for rendering services. Under privatization, all the risks inherent in the business rest with the private sector while, under the PPP, risks and rewards are shared between the government and the private sector. • 34. Summary Of Jean-Jacques Rousseau And Mary Wollstonecraft Eighteenth century Europe was an incredibly repressive environment for women. Patriarchal expectations governed not only women s physical and legal rights, but even inhibited their emotional states. Women were limited solely to the domestic sphere while their brothers, fathers, husbands, and sons pursued livelihoods outside the home. For a woman to be dissatisfied with the status quo and yearn for greater purpose than just raising children and obeying a husband was considered abnormal and unfeminine. Women had very few choices in life and very few opportunities to assert themselves, but they found that exploiting men through sex and romance was an effective way to gain some form of autonomy. Two influential political and philosophical authors of the time, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Mary Wollstonecraft, both found this kind of manipulation to be a prevalent issue. However, while Rousseau believes that this behavior proves women s cunning and inferior natures, Wollstonecraft is more forgiving. She argues that if the sexes were equal, women would not be forced to derive power by influencing men. In Discourse on the Origin of Inequality, published in 1755, Rousseau attempts to answer the question of what causes suffering in society.
