Suicide And Suicide Interventions On The Drink Of Suicide
Helping individuals suffering from suicidal ideations and attempts at self harm calls upon a social worker s ethical obligation to
service. According to the NASW Code of Ethics, social workers primary goal is to help people in need and address social problems
(National Association of Social Workers, 2008). A way to fulfill this duty is by giving first responders the tools necessary to
adequately talk with people in crisis and on the brink of suicide. Considered a preventable cause of death, suicide is a major public
health concern in many industrial and post industrial countries, and one of the three leading causes of death worldwide among
individuals from 15 to 44 years of age (Hoy, Natarajan, Petra, 2016).
Often times individuals in crisis will come in contact with first responders either by contacting emergency services themselves or from
a call placed by a family member or concerned citizen. According to research by Gould et al. (2013), to address the global tragedy of
nearly one million deaths by suicide worldwide, public health interventions with widespread capacity to reach at risk populations are
needed (Gould et al., 2013). One way to attain this goal is by training dispatchers, law enforcement officers, paramedics, and
firefighters on the current evidence based practices for suicidal crisis intervention. Providing first responders with the skills needed to
more effectively communicate with the suicide population should, in turn, increase the

Having Effective Policies In Place Is Important When Dealing
Having effective policies in place is important when dealing with the management of a business in order to set guidelines for the
people involved in the business, so they how it works and what is expected of them in order for the business to function effectively. If
no policies are found within a business, it will be in trouble when a problem arises and there is not a base or rules to follow. Also,
policies help explain what is important for the business and what it enforces and protects. For that reason, I decided to implement
some important policies in Escape Restaurant and Night Club in order to provide a foundation for the business to be effective, safe,

This case study presents a clinical situation related to the endocrine system. The questions at the each segment of the case will test
your understanding of the endocrine system.
Nicholas T., age 32, is a busy systems analyst for a computer manufacturer. Working his way up the corporate ladder, he travels
extensively, putting in many hours without much sleep. Nicholas has a tendency to be overweight but continues to eat fatty foods and

He experiences severe pains in his abdomen, back, and legs. ? Feeling extremely weak, he catches a flight home, and contacts his
family physician, Dr. Ortega. Dr. Ortega measures his blood pressure at 70/50 and then orders a series of laboratory tests. ? He asks
Nicholas how long he has had the tan and the other symptoms he describes. Nicholas indicates he only noticed them within the last
year.
Q. What might cause the pain in the abdomen, back and legs? Electrocytes imbalances and/or dehydration.
Q. The viral infection poses a kind of stress. Why might Nicholas have such a severe reaction? He is already in a compromised state;
people who are not healthy have bodies that are not equipped to handle additional stressors.
Results of the lab tests on Nicholas are summarized below: low serum Na ( 130 mEq/l) high serum K ( 5 mEq/l) ? ratio of serum Na:K
( 30:1) elevated hematocrit ? low WBC count decreased plasma cortisol and aldosterone urine ? shows increased excretion of Na and
decreased excretion of K low levels of hydroxycorticosteroids in the urine
Q. How do the abnormal Na and K levels relate to adrenal function?
The mineralocorticoid (aldosterone) is normally released by the adrenal cortex in response to decreased sodium and increased
pottasium levels; the hormonally acts to promote the retention of Na and the excretion of K. It isn t working; hence the abnormal
serum levels.
Q. What does the high hematocrit means?

Tammy Lin ENGL 1302 051 Brittain 5/11/12 Trimming the Fat of a Growing Problem Obesity is becoming a major problem to many
Americans as well as many people around the world. Being the second cause of preventable death in the United States, obesity
increases the risk of numerous adverse health problems including breast cancer, heart disease, type II diabetes, osteoarthritis, colon
cancer, stroke, and more. Obesity is defined as an excess proportion of total body fat, with a person being considered obese if his or

The people who stand in this position believe that an individual should have choices in the items he or she buy, and be guilt free. In
the article Childhood Obesity: A Global Public Health Issue published in International Journal of Preventive Medicine , writer Amar
Kanekar states that the main cause of childhood obesity in today s public health crisis in both developed and underdeveloped countries
is because of the disproportion between the child s caloric intake and the calories effectively used for growth/development and
physical activities. To these people, what we eat is not the sole reason of the cause of obesity; genetic, behavioral, and environmental
are all constituents of childhood obesity. Moreover, many health related risks are present when a child is obese; negative body image
and low self esteem inevitably result in psychological and social issues. Cardiovascular disease, increased cholesterol levels, and high
blood pressure are all possible potential health risks involved and that there is, indeed, preventive programs that help regulate obesity
by educating individuals about healthy nutrition and diseases (Kanekar 2). According to a report presented from National Health and

Gun Control and the Bill of Rights Essay
George Mason, a co author of the Bill of Rights, said To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them If this is
true, why would anyone try to ban firearms in the U.S? Guns have been a part of American history since we declared independence
from Britain in 1776. Many people believe that removing weapons from the hands of citizens is the only way to stop criminals from
shooting down people at malls and kids at schools, but this is not the case. Outlawing guns is not the answer for effectively reducing
gun crime.
According to Wikipedia, a firearm is a portable gun, being a barreled weapon that launches one or more projectiles often driven by the
action of an explosive force. The first firearms were invented in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Murder by knives was first, followed by clubs, then strangulation. It seems that by banning guns, people used other ways to kill. On
the other hand, Switzerland s gun policy is very different than other nations. It requires all men to go through militia training at age
twenty and issue an assault rifle when they complete it. Switzerland has the lowest gun crime rates in the world, despite giving
everyone a high powered, fully automatic firearm.
Another hot topic that politicians debate about is allowing assault rifles, or select fire guns (capable of semi automatic or fully
automatic fire),which have the ability to shoot rounds as long as you can hold the trigger down, in the hand of American citizens.
Currently, eight states have banned owning assault weapons in some sense. Some may argue that these guns are overkill, and aren t
practical for hunting or self defense, whereas other firearms fill that position well. In some cases that might be true, but if multiple
intruders enter your home armed, a pistol with a low capacity clip may not suffice. Contrary to popular belief, gun crime has dropped
significantly over the past 20 years. Since 1993, violence involving guns has gone down 49% according to Pew Research. The media

The Tanishq saga began in the early 1990 s, primarily fueled by the fabled Tata entrepreneurial spirit and partly forced by
circumstance. Tanishq was coined from a combination of Tata/Tamil Nadu and Nishq (meaning a necklace of gold coins) and, again,
from Tan, meaning body and Ishq, meaning love. Tanishq has set up its 1,35,000 sq. ft production factory at Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Well

the critics were silenced. Tanishq, today, is perhaps the only major Tata brand with a strong appeal for women. Very importantly,
Tanishq has brought to the market a whole new standard of business ethics and product reliability, in the process bringing about a

instead of buying pets, nevertheless, people still buys over adoption. The reason is probably because people do not the benefits of
adoption and the harm it causes to buying pets.
Sheltered animals are those who have been either abandoned or abused. In some shelters, pets have a time limit on their life and they
get euthanized when they do not get adopted in a specific time frame. The reason for euthanizing the animals was because space

Summarize findings from one global current event, within the last six months, that relate to an innovation that can improve the
mortality amd morbidity rates of cardiovascular disease in developing countries.
After years of what sometimes seemed painstaking slow efforts to bring a less invasive approach to managing mitral valve (MV)
disease, things are finally moving forward on several fronts. It s likely a response to the eye opening clinical success and rapid
adoption of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). The success of TAVR has reinvigorated efforts to develop less invasive
approaches to the other heart valves. It has not been easy, but the transcatheter revolution marches on.
Vavular heart disease has been called both The next epidemic and the forgotten epidemic. It is responsible for more than 24,000 deaths
and 85,000 deaths hospitalizations each year in the United States, with those numbers increasing as the population ages and life
expectancy rises. While approximately 2.5% of the populations has moderate or severe valve disease,1 the prevalence in those 75
years of age and older ranges between 11.7% and 13.3% depending on the source. 1,2
The TAVR market is expected to generate close to $4 billion in business by 2020, according to a report released in February by

Understanding the Modern State of Christianity as...
To understand the modern state of Christianity as evangelicals, it is necessary to realize that there have been important changes to the
point in which we are today (Fahrsh, 2006). Several doubts among believers existed and this resulted in the existence of many
movements. Some of these movements include liberalism, neo orthodoxy and evangelical movement.
Theological movements
To begin with liberalism movement, it was more common in the 19th and 20th centuries. As the term liberal implies the willingness
that was there to explain and interpret the scripture according to the current day philosophic perspectives (Wilbur, 2006). This
involved the use of scientific assumptions as they tried to achieve a better understanding and he points they see as appropriate and
important. This was done without the need to know whether the agreed terms was in considerations of the previously known concepts
and the correct doctrine. Much significance was put across as interpreted scientifically in the text and on morality (Wilbur, 2006).
Second is the neo orthodox movement, it was more prominent and influential in the 20th century. It is a theological movement that
was common in Europe and America and was mainly known as crisis or dialectical theology. It was led by a number of most
influential theologians of that time, including Emil Brunner, Reinhold Niebuhr, Nikolay Berdyayev and Paul Tillich (Ahlstrom, 2009).
They were mainly called neo orthodox since they spoke the traditional or the

The English System Of Criminal Law In The United States
Introduction and Historical Background
Every society in which we live, from the remote tribe to the most technologically advanced culture has rules in which by which it
operates. Most societies have written rules governing behaviour and a set of punishment for those who break the rules. These can be
referred to as the society s laws.
The law is defined as is defined as the body of rules of conduct created by the government and enforced by government authority.
Without any rules or behaviour, life in a group would be difficult, if not impossible. In order to master criminal law, there must be an
understanding of the context in which criminal law exists.
The United States has a system of law derived from the English system of Common Law. As the original English settlers arrived in the
new world, they brought with them a well developed system of justice. This English system of law was common to all persons and all
areas in the English empire, so it came to be referred to as the Common Law. Common Law is founded on the idea that if one set of
facts yields a decision in one case, the same set of facts should yield the decision in the next case. For example if a judge in
Manchester ruled that stealing a goat was a crime, a judge in London should rule the same way. Under Common law, judges look to
similar cases decided before and decide new cases the same way. This helps make the legal system predictable and stable. Using
previous judgements in related cases to judge an ongoing

Candidiasis
Thrush (Adults) overview Candidiasis of the oral mucosa, also called thrush, is a condition in which the fungus Candida albicans
accumulates in the lining of the mouth. Thrush causes creamy white lesions, usually on the tongue or cheeks. The lesions can be
painful and may bleed. Sometimes thrush can spread to the palate, gums, tonsils and back of the throat.
Although thrush can affect anyone, it is more likely to occur in children, in people who wear dentures, use corticosteroids or have a
compromised immune system. Thrush is less of a problem if you are healthy, but in the presence of a weakened immune system, the

Major Market Indicators
Executive Summary
The report explores Brazil, Argentina, and Chile s major market indicators to help determine which mode to execute (import from
U.S. or export to U.S.) of auto parts. An in depth PEST analysis was done for each country that highlights some of the most important
pieces of data from various sources. Each country has several opportunities and challenges that could affect the ease of doing business
with them.
Brazil is the largest country in South America and they have a strong economy that is ranked 7th amongst the rest of the world. Their
export value exceeded their import value in 2012, however, one of their major import items are auto parts. They typically only export
vehicles so importing auto parts is crucial to them. One of their main economic objects is to surplus their foreign trade of imports.
There are import restrictions that have been put in place such as; registering with SECEX, but they are attempting to speed up
registrations and customs clearance. There are trading companies available to assist with the exporting the auto parts into the country.
Imported items are subject to an import tax and several other customs duties. Although the economy is doing fairly well there, the
labor pool has some challenges. They have heavily restricted labor regulations there, and large portions of the people are either
semiskilled or unskilled. Brazil was ranked 7th within the automotive market in 2012 and there will be a short term demand within the

SD = 1.909), and nine months (M = 8.75, SD = 2.053). On average, the amount of eye contact among infants aged nine months is
higher than the six months (M = 1.5, SD = 2.138), in this study. The mean difference was not statistically significant, t(7) = 1.984, p =

The present study suggests that there is no significant evidence to show that different age leads to different amount of eye contact

This study design has two possible confounds: first is the individual differences in terms of temperament, second is that the difference
in the amount of eye contact might relates to different everyday child adult interaction pattern. To improve the validity of the study, it
is essential to increase the size of sample, meanwhile, it is important to notice that primary social caregivers should not only implied

10 Things I Hate About You is one of Hollywood s greatest Romantic Comedies. Directed by Gil Junger, the 1999 film is a retelling of

the sexes , where the characters were antagonists until they later came to the realisation that they could not live without each other. In
a screwball comedy, the female lead needed taming .

Dbq Pearl Harbor
Why Did Japan Attack Pearl Harbor? Many blameless people were attacked in Pearl Harbor on 1941. The Japanese sent submarines
and planes to attack the United States. This announced the beginning of World World Two. Pearl Harbor was attacked on December
1941 by the Japanese in Hawaii. Pearl Harbor was attacked during the beginning of World War Two. Japan created a conflict with
America at Pearl Harbor due to Embargos, Immigration Quota, and the Expansion of American Navy. The evidence proven states the
reasons why Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The three reasons why the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor were for a new plan for a new
world order, US oil embargo, and US fleet expansion. One reason for the attack was US fleet expansion. In document C ... Show more

In document C it states that in August 1941, The United states imposes an embargo on oil shipments to Japan. This shows how the US
is stopping trade with Japan. In other words, the quote stated means that Japan couldn t trade with the US anymore. US oil embargo
caused the Japanese to attack after the United States because the Japanese wanted oil.
A third reason for the attack was a new world order. New world order is an idea where Japan will rule the entire world. In document C
it states, December 1941 Japan attacks Pearl Harbor. Japan did this because the US moved the Navy took off resources. Also in
document B it mentions that Japan is more interested in seizing all oil fields and the only way to do what they had to do was by
invading the Netherland East Indies and they did after the Pearl Harbor Bombing. A new world order caused the Japanese to attack
because the US expanded the navy and stopped oil embargoes. Although there were probably other reasons for the Japanese attack, for
example, expansion in the Pacific, there were three main reasons: A New World Order, US Oil Embargo, and US Fleet Expansion.
There were many reasons why the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor but there were three main important reasons. It is important to
understand the reasons Japan attacked Pearl Harbor to be able to prevent anything like this from ever happening

The Effect Of Chemical Reactions On Temperature, Enthalpy,...
Discussion of Goals During this experiment we tested the amount of change in heat given off during different chemical reactions. We
created a calorimeter that we will use to test different reactions to see how the heat energy was affected. After completing the
experiments we were able to tell what chemicals or metals would change the heat energy for every reaction we tested. Overall, this
experiment showed us what characteristics of chemical reactions affect the change in temperature, enthalpy, and specific heat.
Discussion of Results During the past four weeks we have been working on identifying heat changes between an assortment of
different chemicals and metals. We constructed two calorimeters out of four Styrofoam cups, tape, ... Show more content on

The cause of the large gap simply could have been a measuring mistake and or possibly an added human error. After making our final
tweaks to our calorimeters we moved on to experimenting with the heat changes for several acids and a base mixture continuing from
week one. We tested the same base (Sodium Hydroxide) with three different acids (Acetic Acid, Nitric Acid, and Hydrochloric Acid)
all at one molarity; results are shown in Table 2. After testing our three experiments we discovered a pattern with our acid and base
reactions. Noticing that when we tested a stronger acid with a base the reaction would give off higher heat energy readings; versus the
weak acid we tested. Which proves that there is a connection between chemical strength and heat energy. Leaving us with the
conclusion that the stronger the chemical used, the greater heat energy released from the reaction that took place. Moving on with our
project into week two we continued to test acids and bases; but, we changed the acid and base molarity this time as seen in Table 3.
The point of this experiment was to see if the acid and base molarity (that we changed from 1, 3, and to 6 moles) would affect the
amount of heat energy given off. We tested the same Acetic Acid and NaOH. Measuring 50mL of one mole NaOH and adding 50mL
one mole Acetic Acid. We tested each experiment twice to make sure we were accurate and checked for possible errors made. We did

The Explanations Of Working Class Underachievement Essay
This essay will aim to outline and evaluate the explanations of working class underachievement. This will be through examining the
home and school factors that affect these individuals and then reaching a conclusion that highlights the most influential factors while
finding connections between them. A person is considered working class if they are typically employed in manual or industrial work
in order to achieve a wage.
Home factors play a major role in the underachievement of the working class. The April 2013 Great British class survey found that the
traditional working class had an annual average income of £13,000, approximately £34,000 economically worse off than the
established middle class (Savage, et al., 2013). This links into an important area called material deprivation, this is the idea that
children who come from families that are denied certain material things in life due to their low of income and so may not have access
to, for example, standard of housing or to consumer goods which could expand intellectual understanding and this puts them at an
educational disadvantage. This can be supported by Halsey (1980) who found that the most important factor that influenced whether a
working class child decided to stay on at school after 16 was the amount of financial support they received. The majority of working
class is lacking in this and could explain why the only 6.4% in 1943 52 (see appendix) of the working class go into further and or

Crime, Moral Panics and the Media Essay
Most people use second hand information as their core source of information about crime, this source of information usually being the
media. When carrying out sample research in Birmingham, Susan Smith (1984) discovered that 52% of people obtained most of their
information about crime from the media, 36% obtained it from hearsay or alleged experiences of friends and neighbours, 3% from
their own experiences, and 1% from the police service themselves (cited in Jones, 2001; 8). However the media tend to exaggerate

As mentioned earlier Stanley Cohen (1972) is one of prominent sociologists that devised the term moral panic . He defined the
concept as
A sporadic episode which, as it occurs, subject s society to bouts of moral panic, or in other terms, worries about the values and
principles which society upholds which may be in jeopardy (Cohen, 1987; 9).
The term moral panic was introduced by Stanley Cohen (1972) in his book entitled Folk Devils and Moral Panics . This was as a
result of the studies he carried out on the UK s media and social reaction to the Mods and the Rockers in the 1960 s. The research was
based upon a group of working class youths; there were two groups of people who fought on the Clacton beach leaving many beach
huts vandalised. Therefore this became front page news within the media, the press claiming that Clacton had been terrorised by
rampaging groups of Mods and Rockers (Jones, 2001; 84). The media captured the interest of the public by using eye catching head
lines and phrases, some of the phrases incorporated in the test include riot , siege , and screaming mob (The Guardian). They use such
words in a moral panic to try and catch the attention of the public s eye.
A moral panic is not a new phenomenon it is an

Capitolo 16 By James Franco
In sixteenth century Venice, where prostitution and female education were both considered unwholesome, honorary courtesan
Veronica Franco established herself as a literary leader for women. Although known among men for her beauty and wit, she became
successful for her erotic love poems. With great liberty, she was able to define herself not as a courtesan, nor as a beauty goddess, but
as a poet. She acknowledged that men failed to understand women s innate role in society. Men had become beneficiaries of women s
intellect, and bodies. In her poems and familiar letters, Franco defends both herself and women as a whole by challenging traditional
patriarchal gender constructs, educating and disarming the insults of male attackers, and appealing ... Show more content on

She states, to prove to [Maffio] that I speak the truth, among so many woman I will act first, setting an example for them all to follow
(Franco, 165). Franco moves from an individual claim to a more active feminist approach to women as a group. She shifts attention
from herself as a warrior to all women as potential individual fighters. In verbal combat, she reflects on her personal experience that
women are no less agile than men in warfare. She declares that when we women, too, have weapons and training, we will be able to
prove to all men that we have hands and feet and hearts like yours (Franco, 163). By pointing out the flaws of Venice s patriarchal
society s view of women, Franco anticipates one of the first waves of feminism. Towards the end of Capitolo 16, she even announces
herself to be the ultimate defender of women, since she is the first to speak out against Maffio Venier. However, she will not be the
only one since she expects others to follow in her footsteps. Women have the same attributions as men. If they were not kept ignorant
of their potential they would be able to reveal it in successful encounters with men, as Franco

standards state that fixed guardrails can be replaced by retractable guardrails or handrails or handholds to make transporting from
jobsite to jobsite easier (Standardization, 2011). These standards give the team a specific set of dimension and load constraints for the
design of a new guardrail. The dimensions of the guardrail the team is designing shouldn t be much different than the current design.
The team believes the load requirement will be the biggest requirement to meet, since the current design is failing from vibration
loads. This set of standards states that the replacement of a fixed guardrail for a retractable guardrail is allowed. This states that the
purpose of the project follows the international standards; the only difference is the project is called a collapsible guardrail. Expected

Pepsi CO started to invest in the Indian subcontinent in the early nineties having since that time built dozens of bottling plants, created
hundreds of thousands of jobs and injected some two billion in capital.(Thom Forbes). All of these contributions are not with out
controversy, though. In the recent past, 2006, It was found that Pepsi products produced in India contained dangerous levels of

Pepsi s products stems from production practices implemented in India, but not in Europe or the United States(Business Week). All
can agree, The shear scale of business Pepsi CO. engages, in the United States and abroad makes it an extremely powerful entity,
economically and politically. Accordingly, St. Ambrose would have to agree Pepsi CO. production practices, while being completely

Around the mid 19th to early 20th centuries, British Columbia was in a period of economic explosion. Those who were willing to

Their historical arrival marked the establishment of a continuous Chinese community in Canada. While the Fraser Gold Rush is the
one that drew Chinese north, it was during the Cariboo Gold Rush that the first Chinese community, called The Hong Shun Tang, was
established in Canada in the gold mining town of Barkerville. In the 1860s, Barkerville was a booming town. Thousands of
prospectors came to the town, many of them from the U.S. At the peak of the gold rush, there were as many as 5,000 Chinese living in
Barkerville. Unfortunately, the Chinese were not allowed to prospect in areas other than abandoned sites. This was due to
discrimination towards Asians at that time. On account of this fact, the Chinese did not make the same fortunes as the whites did.
Nonetheless, the Chinese still managed to find a way to thrive as a community. They provided many services to as many as 20,000
prospectors that came into the Barkerville region in the 1860s. Between 1860 and 1870, besides mining, Chinese pioneers also worked
on many other projects in British Columbia and Vancouver Island. Some of the jobs included the erection of telegraph poles, the
construction of the 607 kilometers Caribou Wagon Road and the digging of canals and reclaiming of wastelands. The Chinese were
major contributors to the development of Canadian society, but were never recognized as such. Even while facing many daily

Prenatal Care During The United States Essay
Prenatal care in the United States was not the way is today, there have been some improvements in regards to prenatal care. The
number of pregnant women who received prenatal care has increased over the past 75 years (Zolotor and Carlough, 2014). Today,
medical providers deliver more integrated services, which includes evidence based screening, counseling, medical care, and
psychosocial support.
In the past, in the United States the majority of women delivered at home with no anesthetics; women might have received assistance
through a family doctor, including midwife care (Thomas, 2011). A radical change happened by the 1960s, when hospital childbirths
had become the norm, the pain of the experience was reduced by epidural anesthesia controlled by a physician. Pregnant women
received education on breastfeeding and other topics during their medical visits (Thomas, 2011).
Prenatal care policies were implemented to reduce infant mortality rates and poor birth outcomes. Over the past several years
commissioners recommended improving access to prenatal care. In 1980 congress initiated the expansion of Medicaid eligibility for
pregnant women for the purpose of improving prenatal care (Schlesinger and Kronebusch, 1990.) Some states integrated the Aid to
Families programs with Dependent Children care (AFDC) to assist women who live at the poverty level and do not qualify for
Medicaid until they become pregnant.

Blood In Macbeth s Role Of Blood Play
Macbeth Role of Blood Play
The violence and the blood that results are important symbols in Shakespeare s Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The blood imagery for
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth is guilty, murder, remouse and power. It shows Macbeth had killed King Duncan, Banquo and the Guards
to get what he want for him to be a king in Shakespeare. Lady Macbeth The story illustrates the act of murder has changed Macbeth s
character. But it no longer does the blood connote an image of ambition; it now symbolizes guilt, remorse, and an entry into the gates
of hell from which no one can return. Macbeth laments that not even all the water in the sink will wash the blood off his hands, he is
beginning to realize the immensity of his crime, and that he has done something truly evil. Macbeth say, It will have blood, they say.
Blood will have blood./ By magot pies and choughs and rooks brought forth/ The secret st man of blood./ What is the night? (Act III,
Scene 4, Lines 122 126). The imagined blood haunts both characters, following them until their death.
The main theme of Macbeth is he a courageous Scottish general who is not naturally inclined to commit evil deeds, yet he deeply
desires power and advancement. Toward the end of the play he descends into a kind of frantic, boastful madness. Lady Macbeth, on
the other hand, pursues her goals with greater determination, yet she is less capable of withstanding the repercussions of her immoral
acts. Macbeth says Will all great Neptune s ocean wash this blood/ Clean from my hand? Macbeth cries after he has killed Duncan,
even as his wife scolds him and says that a little water will do the job (Act II, Scene 2, Lines 58 59).The different reaction in Macbeth
is stunned and seemingly in shock after he has killed Duncan. He tells his wife he heard voices. Some of those voices were real people
talking in their sleep or saying their prayer before bed.
This same blood symbolism continues when Macbeth, shortly after he sees the ghost of the murdered Banquo at his feast, goes into a
state of shock and has to be escorted back to his chamber by Lady Macbeth. He tells Lady Macbeth before he goes to sleep, All causes
shall give way: I am in blood / Stepp d in so far that, should I wade no

Introduction Every day people are faced with dilemmas within their work place. Some of those dilemmas are minor while others are
major and go against the ethics that people have. Some of them not only go against one s personal ethics, but work ethics as well.
Some are able to look past these dilemmas and continue on while others can t and feel the needs to confront the person or person s that
are involved. One has to remember that their values maybe different than others and that is more so true within the work place than
anywhere else s. The work place is full off different people from different back grounds and all of these people are put ... Show more

She does not feel comfortable going and confronting the teacher, but the principle will not do anything to help her in the dilemma she
is in. The teacher s assistant tells herself that she has done what she is supposed to do and that got her nowhere. From now on if any
situation arises like this one she will not go to the principle, but to the administration over the principle because she know believes
that even if she goes to the principle she will not do anything to the teacher.
Conclusion
The biggest dilemma that we as humans face in the work place is what we as individuals see as personal values may not be the same
values that everyone else holds. We are each our own individual and we have all been raised in different cultures with different values.
We all come together within the work place to not just do a job, but to try and work together with people that are different from
ourselves. When we find ourselves in a dilemma that goes against our ethics, one has to ask themselves, how does this affect my
values, and does it affect our values so much that we need to report it to a higher authority . Educating the mind without educating the
heart is no education at all (Quotes About Ethics, 2012). If one see something that goes against their personal values and does nothing
about it than they need to reevaluate their values. If it is something important to them, than they will do everything within their power
to stop whatever they see is wrong.

Gun Control and the Bill of Rights Essay George Mason, a co author of the Bill of Rights, said To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them If this is true, why would anyone try to ban firearms in the U.S? Guns have been a part of American history since we declared independence from Britain in 1776. Many people believe that removing weapons from the hands of citizens is the only way to stop criminals from shooting down people at malls and kids at schools, but this is not the case. Outlawing guns is not the answer for effectively reducing gun crime. It requires all men to go through militia training at age twenty and issue an assault rifle when they complete it. Switzerland has the lowest gun crime rates in the world, despite giving everyone a high powered, fully automatic firearm. Another hot topic that politicians debate about is allowing assault rifles, or select fire guns (capable of semi automatic or fully automatic fire),which have the ability to shoot rounds as long as you can hold the trigger down, in the hand of American citizens. Currently, eight states have banned owning assault weapons in some sense. Some may argue that these guns are overkill, and aren t practical for hunting or self defense, whereas other firearms fill that position well. In some cases that might be true, but if multiple intruders enter your home armed, a pistol with a low capacity clip may not suffice. To understand the modern state of Christianity as evangelicals, it is necessary to realize that there have been important changes to the point in which we are today (Fahrsh, 2006). Several doubts among believers existed and this resulted in the existence of many movements. Some of these movements include liberalism, neo orthodoxy and evangelical movement. Theological movements To begin with liberalism movement, it was more common in the 19th and 20th centuries. As the term liberal implies the willingness that was there to explain and interpret the scripture according to the current day philosophic perspectives (Wilbur, 2006). This involved the use of scientific assumptions as they tried to achieve a better understanding and he points they see as appropriate and important. This was done without the need to know whether the agreed terms was in considerations of the previously known concepts and the correct doctrine. The English System Of Criminal Law In The United States Introduction and Historical Background Every society in which we live, from the remote tribe to the most technologically advanced culture has rules in which by which it operates. Most societies have written rules governing behaviour and a set of punishment for those who break the rules. These can be referred to as the society s laws. The law is defined as is defined as the body of rules of conduct created by the government and enforced by government authority. Without any rules or behaviour, life in a group would be difficult, if not impossible. In order to master criminal law, there must be an understanding of the context in which criminal law exists. The United States has a system of law derived from the English system of Common Law. As the original English settlers arrived in the new world, they brought with them a well developed system of justice. This English system of law was common to all persons and all areas in the English empire, so it came to be referred to as the Common Law. Common Law is founded on the idea that if one set of facts yields a decision in one case, the same set of facts should yield the decision in the next case. For example if a judge in Manchester ruled that stealing a goat was a crime, a judge in London should rule the same way. Under Common law, judges look to similar cases decided before and decide new cases the same way. This helps make the legal system predictable and stable. We tested the same base (Sodium Hydroxide) with three different acids (Acetic Acid, Nitric Acid, and Hydrochloric Acid) all at one molarity; results are shown in Table 2. After testing our three experiments we discovered a pattern with our acid and base reactions. Noticing that when we tested a stronger acid with a base the reaction would give off higher heat energy readings; versus the weak acid we tested. Which proves that there is a connection between chemical strength and heat energy. Leaving us with the conclusion that the stronger the chemical used, the greater heat energy released from the reaction that took place. Moving on with our project into week two we continued to test acids and bases; but, we changed the acid and base molarity this time as seen in Table 3. • 25. The Explanations Of Working Class Underachievement Essay This essay will aim to outline and evaluate the explanations of working class underachievement. This will be through examining the home and school factors that affect these individuals and then reaching a conclusion that highlights the most influential factors while finding connections between them. A person is considered working class if they are typically employed in manual or industrial work in order to achieve a wage. Home factors play a major role in the underachievement of the working class. The April 2013 Great British class survey found that the traditional working class had an annual average income of £13,000, approximately £34,000 economically worse off than the established middle class (Savage, et al., 2013). This links into an important area called material deprivation, this is the idea that children who come from families that are denied certain material things in life due to their low of income and so may not have access to, for example, standard of housing or to consumer goods which could expand intellectual understanding and this puts them at an educational disadvantage. This can be supported by Halsey (1980) who found that the most important factor that influenced whether a working class child decided to stay on at school after 16 was the amount of financial support they received. The majority of working class is lacking in this and could explain why the only 6.4% in 1943 52 (see appendix) of the working class go into further and or higher education after ... • 26. Crime, Moral Panics and the Media Essay Most people use second hand information as their core source of information about crime, this source of information usually being the media. When carrying out sample research in Birmingham, Susan Smith (1984) discovered that 52% of people obtained most of their information about crime from the media, 36% obtained it from hearsay or alleged experiences of friends and neighbours, 3% from their own experiences, and 1% from the police service themselves (cited in Jones, 2001; 8). However the media tend to exaggerate upon areas of criminal activity causing a moral panic. As mentioned earlier Stanley Cohen (1972) is one of prominent sociologists that devised the term moral panic . He defined the concept as A sporadic episode which, as it occurs, subject s society to bouts of moral panic, or in other terms, worries about the values and principles which society upholds which may be in jeopardy (Cohen, 1987; 9). The term moral panic was introduced by Stanley Cohen (1972) in his book entitled Folk Devils and Moral Panics . This was as a result of the studies he carried out on the UK s media and social reaction to the Mods and the Rockers in the 1960 s. The research was based upon a group of working class youths; there were two groups of people who fought on the Clacton beach leaving many beach huts vandalised. Therefore this became front page news within the media, the press claiming that Clacton had been terrorised by rampaging groups of Mods and Rockers (Jones, 2001; 84). The media captured the interest of the public by using eye catching head lines and phrases, some of the phrases incorporated in the test include riot , siege , and screaming mob (The Guardian). They use such words in a moral panic to try and catch the attention of the public s eye. A moral panic is not a new phenomenon it is an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Capitolo 16 By James Franco In sixteenth century Venice, where prostitution and female education were both considered unwholesome, honorary courtesan Veronica Franco established herself as a literary leader for women. Although known among men for her beauty and wit, she became successful for her erotic love poems. With great liberty, she was able to define herself not as a courtesan, nor as a beauty goddess, but as a poet. She acknowledged that men failed to understand women s innate role in society. Men had become beneficiaries of women s intellect, and bodies. In her poems and familiar letters, Franco defends both herself and women as a whole by challenging traditional patriarchal gender constructs, educating and disarming the insults of male attackers, and appealing ... Franco moves from an individual claim to a more active feminist approach to women as a group. She shifts attention from herself as a warrior to all women as potential individual fighters. In verbal combat, she reflects on her personal experience that women are no less agile than men in warfare. She declares that when we women, too, have weapons and training, we will be able to prove to all men that we have hands and feet and hearts like yours (Franco, 163). By pointing out the flaws of Venice s patriarchal society s view of women, Franco anticipates one of the first waves of feminism. Towards the end of Capitolo 16, she even announces herself to be the ultimate defender of women, since she is the first to speak out against Maffio Venier. However, she will not be the only one since she expects others to follow in her footsteps. Women have the same attributions as men. This load requirement is applied at any point distributed over 50 millimeters from any direction. Also, if the guardrail is a flexible barrier such as chain or cable than it should not deflect from the minimum force or 1,000 Newtons as well. This load is applied more than 80 millimeters from the normal undeflected position of the flexible barrier. Also, the standards state that fixed guardrails can be replaced by retractable guardrails or handrails or handholds to make transporting from jobsite to jobsite easier (Standardization, 2011). These standards give the team a specific set of dimension and load constraints for the design of a new guardrail. The dimensions of the guardrail the team is designing shouldn t be much different than the current design. The team believes the load requirement will be the biggest requirement to meet, since the current design is failing from vibration loads. This set of standards states that the replacement of a fixed guardrail for a retractable guardrail is allowed. This states that the purpose of the project follows the international standards; the only difference is the project is called a collapsible guardrail. Expected Results/ Outcome Expectations Determining how a project will turn out is somewhat puzzling when looking at the big picture. When doing a project this extensive, it is key to have a detailed plan and good communication. Without this, the project will more than likely fail. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The number of pregnant women who received prenatal care has increased over the past 75 years (Zolotor and Carlough, 2014). Today, medical providers deliver more integrated services, which includes evidence based screening, counseling, medical care, and psychosocial support. In the past, in the United States the majority of women delivered at home with no anesthetics; women might have received assistance through a family doctor, including midwife care (Thomas, 2011). A radical change happened by the 1960s, when hospital childbirths had become the norm, the pain of the experience was reduced by epidural anesthesia controlled by a physician. Pregnant women received education on breastfeeding and other topics during their medical visits (Thomas, 2011). Prenatal care policies were implemented to reduce infant mortality rates and poor birth outcomes. Over the past several years commissioners recommended improving access to prenatal care. In 1980 congress initiated the expansion of Medicaid eligibility for pregnant women for the purpose of improving prenatal care (Schlesinger and Kronebusch, 1990.) • 36. Blood In Macbeth s Role Of Blood Play Macbeth Role of Blood Play The violence and the blood that results are important symbols in Shakespeare s Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The blood imagery for Macbeth and Lady Macbeth is guilty, murder, remouse and power. It shows Macbeth had killed King Duncan, Banquo and the Guards to get what he want for him to be a king in Shakespeare. Lady Macbeth The story illustrates the act of murder has changed Macbeth s character. But it no longer does the blood connote an image of ambition; it now symbolizes guilt, remorse, and an entry into the gates of hell from which no one can return. Macbeth laments that not even all the water in the sink will wash the blood off his hands, he is beginning to realize the immensity of his crime, and that he has done something truly evil. Macbeth say, It will have blood, they say. Blood will have blood./ By magot pies and choughs and rooks brought forth/ The secret st man of blood./ What is the night? (Act III, Scene 4, Lines 122 126). The imagined blood haunts both characters, following them until their death. The main theme of Macbeth is he a courageous Scottish general who is not naturally inclined to commit evil deeds, yet he deeply desires power and advancement. Toward the end of the play he descends into a kind of frantic, boastful madness. Lady Macbeth, on the other hand, pursues her goals with greater determination, yet she is less capable of withstanding the repercussions of her immoral acts. Macbeth says Will all great Neptune s ocean wash this blood/ Clean from my hand? Macbeth cries after he has killed Duncan, even as his wife scolds him and says that a little water will do the job (Act II, Scene 2, Lines 58 59).The different reaction in Macbeth is stunned and seemingly in shock after he has killed Duncan. He tells his wife he heard voices. Some of those voices were real people talking in their sleep or saying their prayer before bed. This same blood symbolism continues when Macbeth, shortly after he sees the ghost of the murdered Banquo at his feast, goes into a state of shock and has to be escorted back to his chamber by Lady Macbeth.
