The Music Industry Has Experienced A Difficult Period For...
Introduction: The music industry has experienced a difficult period for the past decade. since the
initial decline of Napster both record labels and artists have seen their revenues dwindling. As the
music industry has progressed vinyls were swapped for CD s and more recently on demand audio
streaming. Since its introduction, digital audio streaming has been regarded as the demise of the audio
industry by some artists and promoters, however, it is also perceived as the future of the industry as it
has shown promising growth over its relatively short existence. This is due to various positive and
negative factors that are entwined in the system, This factors being primarily overall revenue and
profitability of the method, as much as convenience for both consumers, promoters and artist. In order
to understand such debate, one must first assess the actual definition of music streaming, furthermore,
identifying its effects towards the music industry and what could be regarded as its life blood: Artist
income and average revenue. By definition streaming is the ability to listen to a record in real time
without requiring the user to download a certain file. Such is possible by compressing data to sizes
where it can be quickly accessed by the user allowing for parallel playback and buffering (rapidly
loading more content than what will be used at the time to allow continuous playback). Delivery
methods for streams will vary, ranging from subscription based paying streams to add

The Personality Typologies Of Carl Gustav Essay
Personality Typologies
Carl Gustav Young had quite an interesting mind. He believed that while he was growing up, his
mother had to different personalities. Shortly after, he began to believe he was more than one person.
He felt that he was both the child he actually was as well as a wise old man. Jung had a lonely
childhood. He was the only surviving child of his parents and when he wasn t dealing with their
completely opposite personalities, he was being left out when all the kids in school played.
Fortunately, he didn t mind being alone, on the contrary, he very much enjoyed the alone time he
could get to think about and reflect on events.
Ever since Jung was a boy, he looked deeper into the purpose of objects and events, asked theoretical
questions that no regular boy would ask and came up with possibilities that no one could take
seriously.
Carl Jung was born on July 26th, 1875 in Kesswil, Switzerland. Shortly after graduating from the
University of Zurich, Jung became a Psychiatrist. He went onto founding a new school of
Psychotherapy called Analytical Psychology, eventually becoming a very famous Swiss Psychiatrist.
Analytical Psychology is based on the idea that experiences dramatically shape who you are and the
way you live your life as well as predict the way you will be living in the future. This was also
sometimes called Jungian analysis. The point of Jungian analysis was individuation. Individuation is
the process of one forming his or her own personal

Self Marketing Plan Essay
Consumer Marketing Project Bella Napoli Robert Edwards, Hardy Anderson, and Larry D. Stephney

Introduction The team of three students consisting of Robert Edwards, Hardy Anderson, and Larry D.
Stephney visited Belle Napoli restaurant on November 15, 2012 as part of the MK 351 Principles of
Marketing class, coordinated by our instructor DR. Blaugrund, Erin Baca. The purpose for our visit
was to conduct detailed observation at a local restaurant to assist us in writing a seven to ten page
summary of our findings. Our team selected Johnny Carino s restaurant located 675 Sunland Park

People that do not live on the Westside of El Paso may have a hard time navigating to this restaurant
due to low visibility of the sign and small enclosure of the parking lot. There are no other signs visible
on, or near the street prior to arriving to Bella Napoli that will prompt someone to slow down, stop
and make the turn into the parking lot. The parking lot itself is both paved and gravel. It has a slight
downward slope in the direction of the restaurant that could become hazardous in the event of rain.
There are some areas of the parking lot that are uneven and worn that would constitute a hazard, and
that will continue to deteriorate if it is not improved. Other possible deterrents that may cause people
to not come to Bella Napoli are holes in the walls and water damage by the water fountain. From the
parking lot all the way to the courtyard area in front of the entrance, should be re modeled in order to
appeal to a younger crowd. Considering how long Bella Napoli has been open, it appears to that very
few improvements have been made to the exterior of the restaurant. Many restaurants in El Paso,
including Johnny Carino s have transitioned through some type of exterior revitalization plan to
appeal to more generations of, and the diversity of people in El Paso. Interior Atmospherics The
walkways were adequate for foot traffic in both directions. The staff was able to conduct their business

Analysis Of Steppenwolf Theatre Company Completely...
In 1974, a group of young high school actors started doing acting in plays at the Steppenwolf Theatre
Company, ultimately moving in the basement of church in Highland Park in Chicago. Afterwards they
began on their journey to become one of the utmost protruding theatre companies in the whole world.
Steppenwolf Theatre Company completely transformed the face of American Theatre with its
inventive style that blends dynamic collaborative performance, authentic, acting and bold, stimulating
stories to create enthralling theatre.
Steppenwolf Theatre was founded in 1974 by Gray Sinise, Terry Kinney, and Jeff Perry. The theatre

This explains about the style of the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. It was sort of steeped style in

In 1975, Steppenwolf integrated as a non profit and produced one play during that summer, the Effect
of Gamma Rays on Main the Moon Marigolds. During the summer of 1976, with a recently
established company that included founders from Terry Kinney to Alan Wilder, the company took
place in the basement of Immaculate Conception Catholic school in Highland Park which shaped its
first season of plays. In the year of 1980, the company moved from Highland park to the city of
Chicago and moved at the Jane Adams Center which was 134 seat theatre and enlarged the ensemble.
Moving on, The Steppenwolf Theatre maneuvers as a non profit organization relying upon the

Trifles Analysis
Woman
Susan Glaspell shows her readers that women will no longer be in the background. By writing Trifles
she gave women an outlook they have never received before. Trifles is a coming up story about
women, in other words its about women and their rise to power. Glaspell embodies the women spirit
by showing the power, conning, and intectellt of the women in her play.
When people think of power the first thing that comes to mind is a man Women are shown to be weak,
mindless and serving, but in Trifles Glaspell depicts women to have more fire and power. In 1900 s
women were housewives they did not own anything and did what they were told kind of like slaves.
Trifles shows Mrs. Peters, Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Wright as something much more than that. Right in the
beginning (1860) it shows that Mrs. Wright might have committed murder.Trifles shows that this
woman could have possess the power to kill a man. That was unheard of in the 1900 s because women
did not speak out or defend themselves against a man. Mrs. Hale shows just a snippet of her power
when The County Attorney on page (1861) says Dirty towels! Not much of a housekeeper, would you
say, ladies? Mrs.Hale claps back with There s a great deal of work to be done on a farm. Mrs. Hales
defends Mrs. Wright because she knows just how difficult it is to maintain a household and didn t feel
that was necessary because they had Mrs. Wright leave in a hurry. Mrs. Hale yet again shows she is
not afraid of what is to come on page (1864) she undoes the knot on the quilt and the sewing comes
undone. Mrs.Hale at this time knows that this quilt is evidence but does not care and starts to sew.
Mrs. Peters finally shows she is capable of having powerful demeanor on page (1866) she says ...If
they hadn t held me back I would have... hurt him. A boy killed her cat and that made her angry
enough to think about hurting and possibly killing him. Power has many different forms and women
are starting to take on that form.
Women are capable of many things and being conning is just one of them. People lie all the time to get
away with things they do not want to get in trouble for. For a woman to lie was unheard of especially
to an attorney and sheriff. Mrs.

Improved Status for Women
CAN CITIES BE SEEN AS ENIGINES OF IMPROVED STATUS AND LIVELIHOODS FOR
WOMEN?
INTRODUCTION
In the past women were seen as nothing more than child bearers and housekeepers, only worthy of
being their husband s servants, unable to be financially independent. However, due to factors such as
the progression of time and the urbanisation of cities it is no longer the case. Cities are relatively large,
dense and permanent human settlements , they also referred to as towns, urban agglomerations or
urban settlements (Beall Fox, 2009: 7). Urbanisation can most simply be defined as the process of
becoming more modernised or urbanised. Because cities are more modernised than rural areas, cities
are then seen as great points for accessing opportunities that will lead to a more improved standard of
living. Within this essay the question of whether cities enable the status and livelihoods of women to
be improved will be answered, as well as the factors that come with urbanisation (being: poverty and
vulnerability) will be highlighted (from Cities and Development prescribed book Chapter 4).
STATUS OF WOMEN
Status is a phenomenon that emerges from school organisation, through the processes of
differentiation and evaluation, rather than as an outgrowth of intrinsic or natural characteristics of
persons (Bradley Khor, 1993: 384). Unfortunately with that said, the institutions that exist within
society tend to evaluate and differentiate on the basis of sex which then constructs a sense

Flu Season Research Paper
Countless news headlines refer to this flu season as deadly or the deadliest, lending to the destructive
nature of the 2018 flu activity. The worry and misery that a flu season can bring with it has certainly
surpassed that of the last few years. The high number of deaths is an alarming aspect of this flu season
and warrants the panic generated in the public. Its activity is so widespread, but it is still possible to
protect yourself and seek effective treatment if you become a casualty of the flu.
A H3N2 Strain
This season has witnessed the presence and impact that two flu strains, the A H1N1, and the A H3N2,
but it is the A H3N2 that is the main culprit guilty of causing the majority of influenza incidents this
season. The A H3N2 is noted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as being
linked to serious ailment in people over 65 and young kids, with at risk kids being those under the age
of 2. It is a rapidly mutating virus and is capable of evading vaccine, which is characterized as being
30% effective against the A H3N2 strain. This means that this virus is nastier, capable of sending more
people to the hospital, complicating underlying conditions, and causing more deaths.

promoters of world peace. William Lyon Mackenzie King has contributed to this identity through his
efforts in World War 2. He was able to recognize there was a violation of human rights oversea, and
took the necessary action to end these violations as shown through his leadership on D day. A Prime
Minister who also exemplified this was Lester B. Pearson. We owe Lester B. Pearson a great debt for
cementing the pride filled place peacekeeping holds in any proud Canadian s hearts through his

Russian Opera Essay
Russian Opera
The seeds of a distinctively national art music in Russia are usually dated from the first half of the
19th century. The performance of the opera A Life for the Tsar (1836), by Mikhail GLINKA, is
usually cited as the turning point for Russian music (Russia s national anthem is taken from this
opera). In this historical opera, as well as in his subsequent opera Ruslan and Ludmila (1842), the
orchestral fantasy Kamarinskaya (1848), and numerous songs, Glinka successfully fused the typical
melodies, harmonies, and rhythms of Russian folk music with the forms and techniques of Italian
opera creating an eclectic but unmistakably national idiom. Glinka s younger contemporary,
Alexander DARGOMYZHSKY, is best known for his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Musorgsky was undoubtedly the most original composer of the Five. Continuing Dargomyzhsky s
search for musical realism, he combined an instinctive flair for the nuances of folk music with
flexible, textually motivated rhythmic practices and unusual harmonic juxtapositions in his many
songs, his operatic masterpiece Boris Godunov (1869 72), and his suite for piano Pictures at an
Exhibition (1874). Although he was misunderstood by many of his contemporaries, Mussorgsky s
legacy has been profoundly important for music in the 20th century. The conspicuous targets of the
nationalists were Aleksandr Serov (1820 71), a prominent music critic, Wagnerite, and opera
composer, and Anton RUBINSTEIN, a legendary piano virtuoso as well as a prolific composer.
Rubinstein and his brother Nikolai (1835 81) were responsible for establishing the first music
conservatories in Russia, founded on German models, in Saint Petersburg (1862) and Moscow (1866).
Peter Ilich TCHAIKOVSKY was one of the first graduates of the former and subsequently taught at
the latter. Without rejecting his national heritage Tchaikovsky evolved a more cosmopolitan, romantic,
yet highly personal style that won him widespread international popularity. Many of his works
including the six

Victims Of Criminal Activity
Every year, thousands of immigrants are victims of criminal activity. Significant factors that contribute
to this violence, never to be reported are language barrier, fear of deportation, cultural differences, and
fears of the unfamiliar. In 2000 the Congress passed a law known as the Victims of Trafficking and
Violence Prevention Act. (Victims of criminal activity, n.d.). The U.S. Congress created this law as a

Kepler s Laws
In the earlier 17th century, a German astronomer, Johannes Kepler (1571~1630) discovered three
major laws of planetary motion; Kepler s 1st, 2nd and 3rd Law. These three golden eggs gave a very
big effect for the later scientists; Issac Newton (1642~1726) submitted the universal gravitation was

The Role Of Religion In Medieval Japan
Introduction:
The role of tradition within religion in medieval Japanese society was of great significance. Shinto and
Zen Buddhism were two of the major religions practiced in medieval Japan. Shinto was mainly
concerned with daily life, while Zen Buddhism prepared the people for the life to come. The samurai
also followed an important code called Bushido, a form of warrior philosophy. The ancient Japanese
religions helped people understand the universe and also provided a connection between the physical
world on earth and the spiritual world.
Shintoism:
Firstly, the traditions within Shintoism were important to help the Japanese people to connect with
their ancestors and the nature around them. The word Shinto itself means way of the gods. It is as old
as the Japanese culture and was the only religion in Japan until the 6th century. According to the
Shinto religion, there exists a basic life force called kami. Kami are close to human beings and
respond to human prayers. They can influence the course of natural forces, and human events. Shinto
tradition says that there are eight million kami in Japan. Due to their deep respect and love for nature
and Japan itself, many shrines were set up in places of natural beauty. Followers went to pray here to
receive good fortune and samurai would often go to the shrines to pray for victory before and after
battle. Shinto s traditions involved having a clean lifestyle. They washed and bathed everyday which

The Faerie Queene
Una, the True Church
The Faerie Queene is an important romantic epic that more than being just poetry, represents the
protestant imagery in terms of kinds of individual virtue , the forces of temptation and human
weaknesses to which the greatest of persons can succumb and, of course, the humanist ideals of its
time. His author, Edmund Spenser, makes use of biblical and classic allegories to tell his story, that
more than have been a religious writing, the poem s purpose was to educate, to turn young men into
gentlemen and to make a declaration of faith in England. However, the more important purpose of the
Faerie Queene is its allegory, the meaning behind its characters and events. The story s setting is a
fanciful faerie land, that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The turning point in the poem occurs during his time at the House of Holiness; when the Redcrosse
Knight is in despair, he nearly gives up on his quest, and on himself. It is important to notice that it is
Una who has to persuade him out of his misery, it is her who must save him many times throughout
the story. The Redcrosse Knight has to face his inner self, he is able to transform, and this is partly
what grants his success at the end. Every time, Spenser is trying to get readers to realize the incredible
difference between Protestantism and Catholicism; to show them that England needs the true religion
to receive the gifts of God s power. Throughout The Faerie Queene, there are female representations,
the most prominent female characters are Una and Duessa. These female characters show a certain
form of power; Una has the heavenly power of truth in contrast to Duessa s power of falsehood and
black magic. Although they have individual power, both share a common feminine power over men.
Spenser uses the female characters to represent the path of good and the path of evil respectively, by
pairing these characters with the Redcrosse Knight, he illustrates the power, whether good or evil that
women possess to compel men to action. When Archimago gives the knight erotic dreams of Una, the
false image of her, drives him to leave the real Una; he is a representation of the

Epistemology Is A Better Choice Over Traditional Epistemology
Epistemology can be split into two areas: one being traditional epistemology and the other being
naturalized epistemology. The distinction between the two forms of epistemology is that traditional
epistemologists accept what they think they know whereas natural epistemologists put what they think
they know to empirical tests. The connotation of empirical in this context refers to the methodologies
of natural science; specifically, putting theories that we believe to know to scientific experimentation
to find out if the theory is true. In this essay, I will establish the reasons why naturalized epistemology
is a better choice over traditional epistemology.
First, I will establish why traditional epistemology can be a potentially viable ... Show more content

A paradigm shift is where a set of theoretical principles is replaced by another, for example: Special
Relativity replaced Newtonian Mechanics. The problem with this is that theoretical paradigms have no
common basis; hence, paradigm shifts cannot work. Special Relativity and Newtonian Mechanics may
seem to have the same theoretical meaning, but they do not because the terms of mass , force , and
duration all have a different meaning to different scientists. Science, in Kuhn s opinion and from what
is gathered on theoretical paradigms, does not provide concrete, epistemic, nor empirical assumptions.
It does not work best empirically because matters dealing with science must happen with theoretical
paradigms, where effectiveness is a problem. Epistemic thought executed in an empirical manner is
better known as naturalized epistemology. Although, traditional epistemology, or sometimes referred
to as normative epistemology, can help us further our understanding of philosophy. Jaegwon Kim
expounds on this type of epistemology in his work, What is Naturalized Epistemology ?, in which he
states that justification is a central concept of our epistemological tradition, that justification, as it is
understood in this tradition, is a normative concept, and in consequence that epistemology itself is a
normative inquiry whose principal aim is a systematic study of the conditions of justified belief (Kim,
539). Epistemology can be

Oil Prices And Rise And Fall Of Chinese Economy Essay
Falling crude oil prices and rise and fall of Chinese economy
Who s afraid of falling crude oil prices? Isn t it something to celebrate from the consumers point of
view, especially in the Asian region! The answer is perhaps no . Though the debate over the impact of
plunge in crude oil price and its implications will continue for long, nothing can be said with fair
amount of certainty as long as its link with the slowdown of Chinese economy.
A substantial amount of work is being carried out by the academia and experts on hydrocarbon
industry to decide whether China is to be blame for crash in oil price and subsequent crash in stock
markets. In an attempt to explain a very complex cobweb of causes and effects, it emerged that the
Chinese economic slowdown could result into a very long phase of lower oil price less than $50 per
barrel, and even if a correction occurs in early 2017 as many have predicted, it would be short lived.
However, it s no secret that oil market does not perform in isolation hence any fresh trouble in the
regions producing oil, could push prices further up or down at an unprecedented pace.

America s Age Of Hope
1980 1989: America s Age of Hope
From where did the vigor of the 1980 s come? 1980 to 1989 was a period in the United States which
spurred hope for the economy and in the spirits of the people. The 1980 s were a decade of the
American people standing together in tragedy and rejoicing with each other in victory. In 1989, the
fall of the Berlin Wall marked the end of the decade and an age of an oppression overseas. America
cheered for the freedom of her brothers and sisters in Germany. One highlight of the 1980 s was the
substantial growth of the economy through Reaganomics, President Reagan s principles of economics.
In television, the show Family Ties depicted an average family at the time, who supported each other
despite their wide range of beliefs and ideals. Why was this time in America so great? The people of
the nation believed in her, and America gave her people reason to believe.
The spirit of the 1980 s was born of previous decades. America s victory in World War II hurled the
nation into a society which became faster with each decade. The 1950 s, thriving on a time of high job
opportunity, rolled into the 1960 s time of activism of human rights for all peoples. Women s rights,
African American rights, and antiwar dominated the minds of many Americans in the 1960 s and 1970

Biography Of Isaac Newton s Three Laws Of Motion
Isaac Newton was an English mathematician, astronomer, and physicist who had developed his three
laws of motion by the age of 23. He was born in 1642 the same year the Italian astronomer Galileo
Galilei died. Galileo s work helped to influence or set the stage for the development and creation of
Newton s three laws. Newton s three laws of motion consists of the first law which is the concepts of
inertia, second law which is relating acceleration to its cause and lastly the third law which is action
and reaction. The laws of motion were interpreted in the most famous and influential book of all time
called, Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica created by Newton in 1687. The book was often
known as Principia used to explain and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only way to change an objects motion is for it to be impacted by an unbalanced force.
Next is Newton s second law of motion also known as the Law of Force and Acceleration . He was the
first to recognize the relationship between force and mass in the production of acceleration. This
discovery became one of the most central rules of nature that was able to shape the form of physics.
The law states; The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the
magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the
mass of the object . This is usually expressed by the equation Force= mass x acceleration (F=ma). The
law also states that the smaller the object the higher the acceleration there will be and vise versa the
larger the object the smaller the acceleration will be. The acceleration of an object depends on the net
force acted on the object and the mass of the object. If the mass and net force is both doubled then the
acceleration will remain unchanged. This law also gives a explanation for why objects with different
masses are able to fall with equal/same acceleration. If the object is only acted on by the gravitational
force then air resistance is negligible which is called free fall. During free fall the acceleration of the
objects also depends on its inertia and uses the equation Force/mass=gravity (F/m=g), g always

Chemical Reactions And The Chemical Reaction
Introduction
Chemistry is a branch of science commonly defined as the study of the structure, properties, and
reactions of the chemical elements and the compounds they form (The American Heritage Science
Dictionary, 2002). This definition is very general and covers a range of study areas, including those
that are an asset to society. Chemical reactions are studied by many chemists as they common
occurrences in everyday life (Stewart, 2014). Without chemical reactions people would be unable to
perform simple tasks that are essential for quality of life and even life itself, such as cooking, lighting
a match and breathing (Helmenstine, 2015). A chemical reaction occurs when a chemical change takes
place, producing new substances. However, all chemical reactions are different and vary greatly in the
time it takes for them to occur (Chem4kids.com, 2015).
A Reaction rate is the speed it takes for a chemical reaction to occur. That is, how fast a reactant is
used up or a product is formed (BBC, 2014). Rates of reaction are essential in important tasks such are
medicine administration and it is therefore crucial for scientists to understand how they work and what
affects them (Lofts, 2012). The mechanics of reaction rates is based around the theory of collision,
proposed by Max Trautz and William Lewis in the early 1900 s. The theory suggests that reactant
particles must collide for a chemical reaction to occur, the more collisions that occur, the faster the
reaction rate will

The Romanian Holocaust And Paul Celan s Death Fugue
During World War II, German concentration camps exterminated and tortured the majority of the
Jewish community in Europe. Understanding the suffering that the Jews went through during this time
is difficult. The Romanian Holocaust survivor and poet Paul Celan wrote the poem Death Fugue in
order to help others understand what he went through. This poem was written in German and first
published in 1948. I will be using examples from the both English translation by Michael Hamburger
and the English translation by John Felstiner.
In the first stanza of there are two quotes which suggest the poem is referring to a German
concentration camp. The first quote comes from the Hamburger translation, he writes when dusk falls

ALL 50 STATES SHOULD HAVE MANDATORY MOTORCYCLE HELMET LAWS
TOPIC: Mandatory motorcycle helmet laws
PURPOSE: To persuade the audience that all 50 states should enact and enforce a mandatory

Repeatedly, the effect is the same, no or fewer laws enforcing helmet wearing means increased
motorcycle rider fatalities
i. Less law requirement = less helmet wearing = more deaths
D. And that s the very real cost to you and me fewer Dads, uncles, sons, nephews (90% of all killed

Transition: But why? Why on earth would we weaken or get rid these laws when we know that they
prevent deaths?
II. Lots of motorcycle riders vehemently oppose these laws
A. They are passionate and vocal. They turn out in large numbers and ride their bikes around
Washington DC and state capitols. They walk the halls of legislatures and knock on doors lobbying
against helmet restrictions.
B. But safety is not the point that motorcycle rights activist groups are arguing: its freedom a. The

Essay About Green Day
Green Day
Introduction
If anyone ever asked Billie Joe Armstrong if he would grow to be the lead singer of a wildly famous
punk band and he replied with a yes, he sure hit the bullseye with that one. Green Day is a trio that
fulfilled every kid s dream of becoming a rock star. Green Day brought punk rock to the mainstream,
won 4 Grammys, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, making them one of the best
punk rock bands of the 20th century.
How The Members Met Armstrong and Dirnt met during the California garageband scene, while Cool
came later. Frank Edwin Wright, more commonly known as Tre Cool, joined Green Day when their
previous drummer dropped out to focus on college (Jansen, 2002). Now, these three boys didn t come
together and magically start making original music, they, of course, had some inspirations along with
a reason behind their name.
Inspirations
Green Day had many inspirations for songs, the name of their band, and to becoming a band at all.
The Sex Pistols, The Replacements, The Dead Kennedys, and The Ramones were just some of their
favorites (Doeden, 2007). Some of their songs have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

threw a piece of mud on stage, Billie Joe amazed and disgusted the crowd at the same time by shoving
it in his mouth. This then broke into a war of throwing mud and dirt on and off of the stage. This event
quickly made it to the news, bombarding the band with loads of oncoming fame (Cogan, 2006). But

climaxing a huge rivalry between the North Side Gang and Al Capone s. Capone was one of the most
dominant and well known gangsters during the Prohibition Era, ranging between 1920 and 1933.
Prohibition in Chicago was huge, many people wanted to go out for a drink and have a good time after

This great demand for and simultaneous legalization of alcohol opened up a new illegal market for the
gangster to develop and monopolize. As Al Capone put it, All I do is to supply a public demand...
somebody had to throw some liquor on that thirst, Why not me? (1). With the prohibition getting
everyone down, now that they can t drink a beer and go out with friends anymore Al Capone thought
he could take the reigns of this situation by starting to bootleg beer. He was already a leader of a very
large and successful gang so he thought that if he could get his men to secretly bootleg beer in and out
of Chicago then he would become one of the richest men in the U.S.. His dream came true as he
nearly pocketed 60 million dollars in one year alone and 60 million which is now worth about 700
million dollars today. The prohibition didn t only affect Chicago, but it made Al Capone a very
wealthy man. As Capone was making million after million others wanted to get in on this action,
creating new gangs to try and halt Capone and his dominance. One of these gangs was the Moran
Gang, led by leader Bugs Moran, this gang ruled the North Side of Chicago while Capone and his men
ruled the south side.
DETAILS OF CRIME
In the meantime tension was building up between these two gangs as, A $50,000 bounty on Capone s

Ryanair operating on secondary airports catches mainly the attention of new customers for whom
traveling by air is a new habit. Considering traveling routines of European customers it might be
difficult to take away market share from charter airlines since their passengers buy holiday tickets in a
travel package . Ryanair faces problems on domestic markets where competition is already very high

The Longest Running Fued is the Sunni and Shia Conflict
The Sunni and Shia conflict is currently the longest running feud in the world. Both groups possess an
extreme hatred for one another. Over the years, these two groups have openly expressed their hatred
with one another through violent killings. This split between the Shia and Sunni originates all the way
back in the 7th century. Their difference was based on political differences. As a part of my essay I
will explain the difference and origins of the split between the Shi a and Sunni and also cover the
current issues between them.
I have always assumed that the Sunni and Shia conflict is similar to the war between the Catholic and
Protestant, however it is much more complex and different. These two branches of Islam share the
same Holy Book and all agree that Allah is there God. Sunni and Shia both believe that the last
prophet was Muhammad. However, when Muhammad died, there was a disagreement of who would
be Muhammad s successor. There were two candidates to be the successor of Muhammad, Abu Bakr
and Ali bin Abi Talib. Ali bin Abi Talib was Muhammad s cousin and son in law. Abu Bakr was
Muhammad s friend and senior companion. The Sunni Muslims believed that the leadership should be
granted to the person with most experience. On the other hand, the Shi a believed the decision should
be based purely through Muhammad s bloodline. The majority of Muslim ended up choosing Abu
Bakr to be the Caliph (successor). However, Abu Bakr s rule was shortlived when he died in 634 CE.

Fairness, Open Mindedness And Neutrality
Professionals in the United States Army stand apart from others involved in particular careers in the
civilian world. Whereas many vocations contain some of the characteristics of a professional, a lot of
careers do not include all of the necessary to differentiate themselves as being as close to a
professional as a United States soldier. Professionalism grows depending on the time and service that
the individual has in the Army.
A professional is said to have specialized knowledge and skill which can only be acquired through
persistent education and experience. Such skill and experience form the basis of objective standards of
proficient competence that separate the practicing professional from their peers and measure the
proficiency of such professionalism. This professional knowledge must also be intellectual in nature.
Soldiers are required to accept responsibility for their actions and resulting consequences. This
includes avoiding even the appearance of offensiveness. Accountability promotes careful, well thought
out decision making and limits thoughtless action. Fairness, open mindedness and neutrality are
important aspects of fairness. Soldiers must be committed to justice in the performance of their
official duties. Decisions must not be illogical, impulsive, or biased. Individuals must be treated
equally and with tolerance.

The Controversy Over Corporal Punishment In Schools
If you saw a teacher hitting their student, would you think it was okay or would you disagree?
Corporal punishment of any child in school should be illegal in all states. Corporal punishment in
school is causing the student pain in response to undesired behavior. It might involve hitting the
student across the buttocks or the hand with a cane, wooden paddle, slipper, belt, or wooden yardstick
(ruler). With corporal punishment you are not promoting a safe school, you can t sue the teacher who
hit your child if the child gets hurt badly, and your also promoting violence into the vulnerable child s
life; you re making a criminal. But, some might care to see that corporal punishment is okay and we
can have it.
For instance, when you go to school their motto might be, We have a safe school ; Jefferson s motto is
Safe, respectful, and responsible. According to http://www.debate.org/, if there are teachers
corporeally punishing the student as a form of discipline, the child will never feel safe in that school.
Students are supposed to go to their teachers for help but if their teacher is beating them the student
will never ask for help and they will struggle in class, possibly causing grades to go down. Some
schools also have a moto that includes being healthy. If the child was hit hard enough to the point

The passion that one has or do not have for what they are teaching shows thru and directly impacts the
effectiveness of their teaching. Maintaining a continued passion for the nursing profession inspires
students. Patience, so often is what makes or breaks an educator. Consequently, I have seen many

  • 2. The Music Industry Has Experienced A Difficult Period For... Introduction: The music industry has experienced a difficult period for the past decade. since the initial decline of Napster both record labels and artists have seen their revenues dwindling. As the music industry has progressed vinyls were swapped for CD s and more recently on demand audio streaming. Since its introduction, digital audio streaming has been regarded as the demise of the audio industry by some artists and promoters, however, it is also perceived as the future of the industry as it has shown promising growth over its relatively short existence. This is due to various positive and negative factors that are entwined in the system, This factors being primarily overall revenue and profitability of the method, as much as convenience for both consumers, promoters and artist. In order to understand such debate, one must first assess the actual definition of music streaming, furthermore, identifying its effects towards the music industry and what could be regarded as its life blood: Artist income and average revenue. By definition streaming is the ability to listen to a record in real time without requiring the user to download a certain file. Such is possible by compressing data to sizes where it can be quickly accessed by the user allowing for parallel playback and buffering (rapidly loading more content than what will be used at the time to allow continuous playback). • 3. The Personality Typologies Of Carl Gustav Essay Personality Typologies Carl Gustav Young had quite an interesting mind. He believed that while he was growing up, his mother had to different personalities. Shortly after, he began to believe he was more than one person. He felt that he was both the child he actually was as well as a wise old man. Jung had a lonely childhood. He was the only surviving child of his parents and when he wasn t dealing with their completely opposite personalities, he was being left out when all the kids in school played. Fortunately, he didn t mind being alone, on the contrary, he very much enjoyed the alone time he could get to think about and reflect on events. Ever since Jung was a boy, he looked deeper into the purpose of objects and events, asked theoretical questions that no regular boy would ask and came up with possibilities that no one could take seriously. Carl Jung was born on July 26th, 1875 in Kesswil, Switzerland. Shortly after graduating from the University of Zurich, Jung became a Psychiatrist. He went onto founding a new school of Psychotherapy called Analytical Psychology, eventually becoming a very famous Swiss Psychiatrist. Analytical Psychology is based on the idea that experiences dramatically shape who you are and the way you live your life as well as predict the way you will be living in the future. This was also sometimes called Jungian analysis. The point of Jungian analysis was individuation. Individuation is the process of one forming his or her own personal ... Stephney visited Belle Napoli restaurant on November 15, 2012 as part of the MK 351 Principles of Marketing class, coordinated by our instructor DR. Blaugrund, Erin Baca. The purpose for our visit was to conduct detailed observation at a local restaurant to assist us in writing a seven to ten page summary of our findings. People that do not live on the Westside of El Paso may have a hard time navigating to this restaurant due to low visibility of the sign and small enclosure of the parking lot. There are no other signs visible on, or near the street prior to arriving to Bella Napoli that will prompt someone to slow down, stop and make the turn into the parking lot. The parking lot itself is both paved and gravel. It has a slight downward slope in the direction of the restaurant that could become hazardous in the event of rain. There are some areas of the parking lot that are uneven and worn that would constitute a hazard, and that will continue to deteriorate if it is not improved. Other possible deterrents that may cause people to not come to Bella Napoli are holes in the walls and water damage by the water fountain. From the parking lot all the way to the courtyard area in front of the entrance, should be re modeled in order to appeal to a younger crowd. Considering how long Bella Napoli has been open, it appears to that very few improvements have been made to the exterior of the restaurant. Many restaurants in El Paso, including Johnny Carino s have transitioned through some type of exterior revitalization plan to appeal to more generations of, and the diversity of people in El Paso. Interior Atmospherics The walkways were adequate for foot traffic in both directions. The staff was able to conduct their business without any congestion within the ... • 6. Trifles Analysis Woman Susan Glaspell shows her readers that women will no longer be in the background. By writing Trifles she gave women an outlook they have never received before. Trifles is a coming up story about women, in other words its about women and their rise to power. Glaspell embodies the women spirit by showing the power, conning, and intectellt of the women in her play. When people think of power the first thing that comes to mind is a man Women are shown to be weak, mindless and serving, but in Trifles Glaspell depicts women to have more fire and power. In 1900 s women were housewives they did not own anything and did what they were told kind of like slaves. Trifles shows Mrs. Peters, Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Wright as something much more than that. Right in the beginning (1860) it shows that Mrs. Wright might have committed murder.Trifles shows that this woman could have possess the power to kill a man. That was unheard of in the 1900 s because women did not speak out or defend themselves against a man. Mrs. Hale shows just a snippet of her power when The County Attorney on page (1861) says Dirty towels! Not much of a housekeeper, would you say, ladies? Mrs.Hale claps back with There s a great deal of work to be done on a farm. Mrs. Hales defends Mrs. Wright because she knows just how difficult it is to maintain a household and didn t feel that was necessary because they had Mrs. Wright leave in a hurry. Mrs. Hale yet again shows she is not afraid of what is to come on page (1864) she undoes the knot on the quilt and the sewing comes undone. Mrs.Hale at this time knows that this quilt is evidence but does not care and starts to sew. Mrs. Peters finally shows she is capable of having powerful demeanor on page (1866) she says ...If they hadn t held me back I would have... hurt him. A boy killed her cat and that made her angry enough to think about hurting and possibly killing him. Power has many different forms and women are starting to take on that form. Women are capable of many things and being conning is just one of them. People lie all the time to get away with things they do not want to get in trouble for. • 7. Improved Status for Women CAN CITIES BE SEEN AS ENIGINES OF IMPROVED STATUS AND LIVELIHOODS FOR WOMEN? INTRODUCTION In the past women were seen as nothing more than child bearers and housekeepers, only worthy of being their husband s servants, unable to be financially independent. However, due to factors such as the progression of time and the urbanisation of cities it is no longer the case. Cities are relatively large, dense and permanent human settlements , they also referred to as towns, urban agglomerations or urban settlements (Beall Fox, 2009: 7). Urbanisation can most simply be defined as the process of becoming more modernised or urbanised. Because cities are more modernised than rural areas, cities are then seen as great points for accessing opportunities that will lead to a more improved standard of living. Within this essay the question of whether cities enable the status and livelihoods of women to be improved will be answered, as well as the factors that come with urbanisation (being: poverty and vulnerability) will be highlighted (from Cities and Development prescribed book Chapter 4). STATUS OF WOMEN Status is a phenomenon that emerges from school organisation, through the processes of differentiation and evaluation, rather than as an outgrowth of intrinsic or natural characteristics of persons (Bradley Khor, 1993: 384). Unfortunately with that said, the institutions that exist within society tend to evaluate and differentiate on the basis of sex which then constructs a sense ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The worry and misery that a flu season can bring with it has certainly surpassed that of the last few years. The high number of deaths is an alarming aspect of this flu season and warrants the panic generated in the public. A H3N2 Strain This season has witnessed the presence and impact that two flu strains, the A H1N1, and the A H3N2, but it is the A H3N2 that is the main culprit guilty of causing the majority of influenza incidents this season. The A H3N2 is noted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as being linked to serious ailment in people over 65 and young kids, with at risk kids being those under the age of 2. The performance of the opera A Life for the Tsar (1836), by Mikhail GLINKA, is usually cited as the turning point for Russian music (Russia s national anthem is taken from this opera). In this historical opera, as well as in his subsequent opera Ruslan and Ludmila (1842), the orchestral fantasy Kamarinskaya (1848), and numerous songs, Glinka successfully fused the typical melodies, harmonies, and rhythms of Russian folk music with the forms and techniques of Italian opera creating an eclectic but unmistakably national idiom. Although he was misunderstood by many of his contemporaries, Mussorgsky s legacy has been profoundly important for music in the 20th century. The samurai also followed an important code called Bushido, a form of warrior philosophy. The ancient Japanese religions helped people understand the universe and also provided a connection between the physical world on earth and the spiritual world. His author, Edmund Spenser, makes use of biblical and classic allegories to tell his story, that more than have been a religious writing, the poem s purpose was to educate, to turn young men into gentlemen and to make a declaration of faith in England. The Redcrosse Knight has to face his inner self, he is able to transform, and this is partly what grants his success at the end. Every time, Spenser is trying to get readers to realize the incredible difference between Protestantism and Catholicism; to show them that England needs the true religion to receive the gifts of God s power. These female characters show a certain form of power; Una has the heavenly power of truth in contrast to Duessa s power of falsehood and black magic. Although they have individual power, both share a common feminine power over men. Spenser uses the female characters to represent the path of good and the path of evil respectively, by pairing these characters with the Redcrosse Knight, he illustrates the power, whether good or evil that women possess to compel men to action. The distinction between the two forms of epistemology is that traditional epistemologists accept what they think they know whereas natural epistemologists put what they think they know to empirical tests. The connotation of empirical in this context refers to the methodologies of natural science; specifically, putting theories that we believe to know to scientific experimentation to find out if the theory is true. In this essay, I will establish the reasons why naturalized epistemology is a better choice over traditional epistemology. First, I will establish why traditional epistemology can be a potentially viable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A paradigm shift is where a set of theoretical principles is replaced by another, for example: Special Relativity replaced Newtonian Mechanics. The problem with this is that theoretical paradigms have no common basis; hence, paradigm shifts cannot work. Special Relativity and Newtonian Mechanics may seem to have the same theoretical meaning, but they do not because the terms of mass , force , and duration all have a different meaning to different scientists. Science, in Kuhn s opinion and from what is gathered on theoretical paradigms, does not provide concrete, epistemic, nor empirical assumptions. It does not work best empirically because matters dealing with science must happen with theoretical paradigms, where effectiveness is a problem. Epistemic thought executed in an empirical manner is better known as naturalized epistemology. Although, traditional epistemology, or sometimes referred to as normative epistemology, can help us further our understanding of philosophy. Jaegwon Kim expounds on this type of epistemology in his work, What is Naturalized Epistemology ?, in which he states that justification is a central concept of our epistemological tradition, that justification, as it is understood in this tradition, is a normative concept, and in consequence that epistemology itself is a normative inquiry whose principal aim is a systematic study of the conditions of justified belief (Kim, 539). Though the debate over the impact of plunge in crude oil price and its implications will continue for long, nothing can be said with fair amount of certainty as long as its link with the slowdown of Chinese economy. A substantial amount of work is being carried out by the academia and experts on hydrocarbon industry to decide whether China is to be blame for crash in oil price and subsequent crash in stock markets. In an attempt to explain a very complex cobweb of causes and effects, it emerged that the Chinese economic slowdown could result into a very long phase of lower oil price less than $50 per barrel, and even if a correction occurs in early 2017 as many have predicted, it would be short lived. However, it s no secret that oil market does not perform in isolation hence any fresh trouble in the regions producing oil, could push prices further up or down at an unprecedented pace. Next is Newton s second law of motion also known as the Law of Force and Acceleration . He was the first to recognize the relationship between force and mass in the production of acceleration. This discovery became one of the most central rules of nature that was able to shape the form of physics. The law states; The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object . This is usually expressed by the equation Force= mass x acceleration (F=ma). The law also states that the smaller the object the higher the acceleration there will be and vise versa the larger the object the smaller the acceleration will be. The acceleration of an object depends on the net force acted on the object and the mass of the object. If the mass and net force is both doubled then the acceleration will remain unchanged. This law also gives a explanation for why objects with different masses are able to fall with equal/same acceleration. If the object is only acted on by the gravitational force then air resistance is negligible which is called free fall. During free fall the acceleration of the objects also depends on its inertia and uses the equation Force/mass=gravity (F/m=g), g always ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Chemical Reactions And The Chemical Reaction Introduction Chemistry is a branch of science commonly defined as the study of the structure, properties, and reactions of the chemical elements and the compounds they form (The American Heritage Science Dictionary, 2002). This definition is very general and covers a range of study areas, including those that are an asset to society. Chemical reactions are studied by many chemists as they common occurrences in everyday life (Stewart, 2014). Without chemical reactions people would be unable to perform simple tasks that are essential for quality of life and even life itself, such as cooking, lighting a match and breathing (Helmenstine, 2015). A chemical reaction occurs when a chemical change takes place, producing new substances. However, all chemical reactions are different and vary greatly in the time it takes for them to occur (Chem4kids.com, 2015). A Reaction rate is the speed it takes for a chemical reaction to occur. That is, how fast a reactant is used up or a product is formed (BBC, 2014). Rates of reaction are essential in important tasks such are medicine administration and it is therefore crucial for scientists to understand how they work and what affects them (Lofts, 2012). The mechanics of reaction rates is based around the theory of collision, proposed by Max Trautz and William Lewis in the early 1900 s. The theory suggests that reactant particles must collide for a chemical reaction to occur, the more collisions that occur, the faster the reaction rate will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. The Longest Running Fued is the Sunni and Shia Conflict The Sunni and Shia conflict is currently the longest running feud in the world. Both groups possess an extreme hatred for one another. Over the years, these two groups have openly expressed their hatred with one another through violent killings. This split between the Shia and Sunni originates all the way back in the 7th century. Their difference was based on political differences. As a part of my essay I will explain the difference and origins of the split between the Shi a and Sunni and also cover the current issues between them. I have always assumed that the Sunni and Shia conflict is similar to the war between the Catholic and Protestant, however it is much more complex and different. These two branches of Islam share the same Holy Book and all agree that Allah is there God. Sunni and Shia both believe that the last prophet was Muhammad. However, when Muhammad died, there was a disagreement of who would be Muhammad s successor. There were two candidates to be the successor of Muhammad, Abu Bakr and Ali bin Abi Talib. Ali bin Abi Talib was Muhammad s cousin and son in law. Abu Bakr was Muhammad s friend and senior companion. The Sunni Muslims believed that the leadership should be granted to the person with most experience. On the other hand, the Shi a believed the decision should be based purely through Muhammad s bloodline. The majority of Muslim ended up choosing Abu Bakr to be the Caliph (successor). However, Abu Bakr s rule was shortlived when he died in 634 CE. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This professional knowledge must also be intellectual in nature. Soldiers are required to accept responsibility for their actions and resulting consequences. This includes avoiding even the appearance of offensiveness. Accountability promotes careful, well thought out decision making and limits thoughtless action. • 36. The Controversy Over Corporal Punishment In Schools If you saw a teacher hitting their student, would you think it was okay or would you disagree? Corporal punishment of any child in school should be illegal in all states. Corporal punishment in school is causing the student pain in response to undesired behavior. It might involve hitting the student across the buttocks or the hand with a cane, wooden paddle, slipper, belt, or wooden yardstick (ruler). With corporal punishment you are not promoting a safe school, you can t sue the teacher who hit your child if the child gets hurt badly, and your also promoting violence into the vulnerable child s life; you re making a criminal. But, some might care to see that corporal punishment is okay and we can have it. For instance, when you go to school their motto might be, We have a safe school ; Jefferson s motto is Safe, respectful, and responsible. According to http://www.debate.org/, if there are teachers corporeally punishing the student as a form of discipline, the child will never feel safe in that school. I believe the greatest qualities of an outstanding educator are passion, patience, flexibility, and the willingness for personal and professional growth. The passion that one has or do not have for what they are teaching shows thru and directly impacts the effectiveness of their teaching. Maintaining a continued passion for the nursing profession inspires students. Patience, so often is what makes or breaks an educator. Consequently, I have seen many great nurses that just did not have the required patience to guide new nurses or students.
