Managing human emotions plays a critical role in everyday functioning. After years of lively debate
on the significance and validity of its construct, emotional intelligence (EI) has generated a robust
body of theories, research studies, and measures (Stough, Saklofske, amp; Parker). There has been

Around 12,000 years ago the Neolithic or Agricultural Revolution began. This period started after the
end of the last ice age. The Neolithic Revolution brought the first organized government. The
Neolithic Revolution made government essential because there was a need to organize the more
expansive population, large construction projects, and trade with other Neolithic Villages.
During the Neolithic Revolution not only did the amount of surplus food grow, but so did the
population creating a need for organization from a leader or some sort of government. According to
scholars, the world s population 10,000 years ago was a microscopic 6 million people. By comparison
there are 6 billion people estimated on Earth today. The population then grew to about 50 million
people by 5,000 years ago. What took place during those 5,000 years? The agricultural revolution
