Remanufacturing has several advantages in today s business world; equipment s that are considered
expensive are produced at an economical cost and also makes for environmental friendly
manufacturing. The aim of this study is to empirically investigate the major drivers for
remanufacturing in Nigeria. From the empirical analysis, it was found that factors which encourages
remanufacturing are economic, environmental and social factors. The methodology employed in this
study is a questionnaire survey method, where the drivers for remanufacturing in Nigeria were
empirically determined. The study contributes to the body of knowledge on remanufacturing in
Nigeria.
