Is The Architectures Of The Convnets ) For Action...
We investigate architectures of discriminatively trained deep Convolutional Net– works (ConvNets)
for action recognition in video. The challenge is to capture the complementary information on
appearance from still frames and motion be– tween frames. We also aim to generalise the best
performing hand–crafted features within a data–driven learning framework.
Our contribution is three–fold. First, we propose a two–stream ConvNet architec– ture which
incorporates spatial and temporal networks. Second, we demonstrate that a ConvNet trained on
multi–frame dense optical flow is able to achieve very good performance in spite of limited training
data. Finally, we show that multi– task learning, applied to two different action classification ...

The spatial stream performs action recognition from still video frames, whilst the temporal stream is
trained to recognise action from motion in the form of dense optical flow. Both streams are
implemented as ConvNets. Decoupling the spatial and temporal nets also allows us to exploit the
availability of large amounts of annotated image data by pre–training the spatial net on the
ImageNet challenge dataset [1]. Our proposed architecture is related to the two–streams hypothesis
[9], according to which the human visual cortex contains two pathways: the ventral stream (which
performs object recognition) and the dorsal stream (which recognises motion); though we do not
investigate this connection any further here.
The rest of the paper is organised as follows. In Sect. 1.1 we review the related work on action
recognition using both shallow and deep architectures. In Sect. 2 we introduce the two–stream
architecture and specify the Spatial ConvNet. Sect. 3 introduces the Temporal ConvNet and in
particular how it generalizes the previous architectures reviewed in Sect. 1.1. A mult–task learning
framework is developed in Sect. 4 in order to allow effortless combination of training data over 1

Building A Target Conformant And Flexible Enterprise...
Introduction: In order to build a target–conformant and flexible Enterprise Architecture, and to put it
in a perspective, it is very important to analyse and visualize various academic and industrial
frameworks and comprehend and define its concepts. Various definitions describe different
architectural processes, systems, technologies, components and their relationships (Taleb et al,
2012a).The following section discusses three industrial and three academic frameworks which
provide different viewpoints of Enterprise Architecture.

The importance of culture and organizational structure and the integration between them is
discussed in–depth as well, in order to state the factors that need to be focused on for design of an
enterprise. Bernard has further elaborated on various organization models and scrutinized them to
justify the distinction between organization and enterprise. Associated risks and process of
estimating the cost and benefits are eventually explored, covering several important aspects of EA.
Evaluation
Enterprise Architecture is defined as 'a coherent whole of principles, methods, and models that are
used in the design and realization of an enterprise's organizational structure, business processes,
information systems, and infrastructure' (Lankhorst et al, 2012). Over time, EA has become an
integral part of organization's strategy rather than being a mere guideline, (Vaidyanathan, 2005)
motivating organizations to design business–aligned enterprise systems. The author's representation
of EA as a strategy, business and technology–driven process and its meta–disciplinary role thus
seems accurately described. Decisions taken are often incomplete without an adequate decision
supporting frameworks (Narman, 2012). Several organizations have adopted EA frameworks in
order to maintain links with other systems and ultimately create integrated systems, similar to
building blocks that fit together (Shah and Kourdi, 2007). The author's knowledge

Design Oriented And Patterns Oriented Perspective On An...
Introduction
Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a coherent set of descriptions, covering a regulations–oriented,
design–oriented and patterns–oriented perspective on an enterprise, which provides indicators and
controls that enable the informed governance of the enterprise's evolution and succesd1. In simple
terms, an EA is a conceptual blueprint that defines the structure of an organization in terms of its
operation and interaction among various units within it.
As organizations become larger, operations management become bigger and more cumbersome,
hence the need for an enterprise architecture framework that can describe the underlying
infrastructure, providing the groundwork for the hardware, software, networks and people to work2.
There are a number of enterprise architecture framework in use today with many of them having
similar views and approaches in an attempt to address various needs and concerns of an
organization. Zachman framework for enterprise architecture is one of the major EA framework in
use today and is considered to be one of the pioneers in the ES domain. Zachman EA framework
adopts principles of classical architecture that establish a common vocabulary and set of
perspectives for describing complex enterprise systems2. The Zachman Framework is made up of
six perspectives or views, which are Planner, Owner, Designer, Builder, Subcontractor, and User.
The second dimension of Zachman's Framework deals with the six basic questions: what, how,

Enterprise Systems Architecture Of An Organization
Enterprise Systems Architecture
Kerven Nelson
Nova Southeastern University
Enterprise system Architecture (ESA) is the overall IT system architecture of an organization. This
architecture is the key part of managing and evolving IT systems, and therefore the business
operations, of an organization. It consists of the architectures of individual systems and their
relationships in the perspective of an organization. The Air Force has a limited idea of what
enterprise architecture is, how it works, and most importantly, why it is needed.
The point of this paper is to discuss these key questions, to present some guidelines for
implementation of enterprise architecture, and make people aware of some of the possible
consequence of enterprise architecture development. Architecture is known to be necessary when
considering the design of a new building. However, architecture is equally as important when
considering the design and creation of a composite system within a business. Whether a business is
expanding or new area is being planned, the same issues must be considered (e.g. integrated
services, interoperable systems, and efficient operations). The end result of architecture is the
arrangement of mechanisms under familiar principles that ease change management and ensure
integrated and successful operation. The Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) council considers
an enterprise as an organization supporting a defined business scope and task and contains

The aim of UML's implementation is to provide software developers , system architects, and
software engineers with tools for analysis, design and implementation of software–based systems.
We can find that there are a few types of UML including class, use case, object, collaboration,
sequence, activity, component deployment and statechart. For class diagrams, it become the
backbone of almost every object oriented method and describe the static structure of a system. Other
than that, we using actors and use cases in uses case diagram to represent the system functionality.

A Model Transformation Approach For Mobile Application
Nowadays, there is no stable model transformation approach for mobile application. Model
transformation is one of the prominent features and the rising research area of Model Driven
Engineering (MDE). There is still gap between software designer and developer because of the
heavyweight of graphical modeling language like Unified Modeling Language (UML). The textual
modeling language attempts to fill the gap between modeling and implementing in the development
lifecycle. The proposed research work intends to transform text–based model oriented program to
mobile application. UML Programming Language (Umple) uses the concept of textual modeling as
a technique to reduce differences between the model and the code. The technique of model
transformation is defined by meta–model and transformation rule. The proposed work intends to
construct the source meta–model for model oriented program and the target meta–model for mobile
application. And it also intends to define model transformation rules to bridge the gap between
source and target meta–model by using ATLAS (ATL) transformation language. The proposed
system expected to generate the android source project and create, retrieve, update, and delete
(CRUD) android apps.
Although there are already some approaches to model–driven development of mobile apps, there is
still gap in model transformation approach for mobile applications. Individual Approaches are in

The initial software development methodologies were more than methodologies, free for everyone,
as organizations endeavored to profit from the latest computer related technologies. As the industry
gained more insight about designing the software, fixed techniques for administering and predicting
the market price of the software development projects came into practice.

People occasionally are not great at detailed explanations regarding what they require. Although,
they are reasonably good at specifying what exactly they need and later they are presented an option
as to what they like and don't like about it. By way of explanation, we need to communicate and
work with our stakeholders to precisely determine what they assume they want, deliver something
that reflects that concept, receive quality feedback from our stakeholders on the same, and then
update our solution to reflect our refined comprehension.
Stakeholders who take charge and be associated with IT projects are likely to have a political agenda
which they are attempting to improve. Moreover, stakeholders who are responsive to requests for
information may delay the project, the reason being, the team should hold on for responses. Reactive
stakeholders indicate signs of the stakeholder community having poor relationships with the IT
departments. Due to strained relationships, the stakeholders are likely to participate less frequently

Comparison Between Different Enterprise Architecture...
4.1 Comparison of Different Enterprise Architecture Frameworks
A number of EA frameworks exist in the industry with the goal of addressing the basic challenge of
assessing, aligning, and organizing business objectives with technical requirements and strategies.
Examples include the Zachman Enterprise Framework, The Open Group Architecture Framework
(TOGAF), OMB Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), and The Gartner Methodology (formerly
the Meta Framework).
Each framework possesses different strengths and weaknesses, which makes it difficult to find any
one existing framework that is ideal for all situations. The following chart depicts how four
Enterprise Architecture Frameworks compare.
4.2 How to Solve the Problem?
To touch lightly on value, there are multiple levels of value and it is one of the most difficult things
to measure as it contains both quantitative and qualitative aspects. But for an EA practice the
following should be considered:
Cost Avoidance – "How do we avoid unnecessary costs?"
Cost Reduction – "How do we reduce our current spend?"
Quality – "How do we improve the quality of our information?"
Risk Containment – "How to we control and reduce organisational risks?"
Stakeholder Value – "How do we improve our value to our stakeholders?"
Resource Allocations – "How do we improve the view of demand for our services?"
Productivity – "How do we increase our productivity and efficiency?"
Collaboration – "How do we improve our engagement

An Interesting Software Design Technique
3.3 DOMAIN DRIVEN ARCHITECTURE
An interesting software design technique to understand and solve complexity is Domain Driven
Design (DDD). Domain Driven Design advocates modeling based on the reality of business as
relevant to our use cases. As it is now getting older and hype level decreasing, many of us forget that
the DDD approach really helps in understanding the problem at hand and design software towards
the common understanding of the solution. When building applications, DDD talks about problems
as domains and subdomains. It describes independent steps/areas of problems as bounded contexts,
emphasizes a common language to talk about these problems, and adds many technical concepts,
like entities, value objects and aggregate root rules to support the implementation. Sometimes these
technical rules are perceived as hard barriers implementing the DDD, but at the end, people tend to
forget that the important part is to organize code artifacts in alignment with business problems and
using the same common, ubiquitous language.
Domain modeling helps to identify and separate tangled implementations, if you are lucky to have a
domain model to guide you. If you don 't already have a domain model for an existing application
(which is generally true in most cases), instead of going through the code to understand the different
responsibilities, building a domain model and mapping the capabilities to the application at hand can
probably be a better approach. This will both save

A Dynamic Structural Design For Web Application
A DYNAMIC STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR WEB APPLICATION
WITH CATEGORIZATION OF SYSTEMATIC DEMEANOR
1. INTRODUCTION
This research is concerned with the study and analysis of dynamic architecture and proposes an
improved structural design based on categorization based dynamic architecture. Categorization of
systematic demeanor plays a significant role in dynamic structural design of architecture to
determine the systematic approach, browsing, performance, accuracy, multimedia access and
navigation. By achieving systematic approach, the hierarchical structure is the idea which is behind
the categorization technique.
The extensive opportunities and convenient software design, and the larger demand for such
applications have given rise to a considerable increase in the number of people working on web
applications design, Khan 2014. The PHP, J–Query is some of the important scripting languages that
were used for web applications development. PHP is a server–side scripting language employed for
web development but also considered as a general–purpose programming language. But in the
recent times, young keen people have begun to design Web pages with the help of scripting
languages without even possessing the knowledge of even the simplest principles of software
design.
Several authors have introduced different techniques for minimizing the complexity. One of the
important methods is the introduction of the design patterns in the PHP and the creation of a new

Structure And Operation Of A Enterprise Architecture
TOPIC A1
Enterprise Architecture
EA is about designing, managing and planning an organization/firm's IT assets, people, and
processes so it can achieve business strategy/goals providing benefit to the business. An enterprise
architecture (EA) is a conceptual blueprint that defines the structure and operation of an
organization. The intent of enterprise architecture is to understand how an organization can most
effectively achieve its current and future objectives.
Importance of EA
 Holistic Approach
 Consistency in Delivering Solutions to Business Problems
 Building Enterprise–wide Repository
 IT Governance
 Defined Business/Technical/Information System Architecture:
 Ensure alignment of business and IT, Effectively use IT assets to support business strategy and
needs,
 Perform long–term IT planning to support business strategy, Plan and manage program to avoid
failures,
 Maximize investment in IT spending
EA is similar to city planning
City plan ––Business Vision – provides context to define and evolve EA.
Zoning plan: Patterns – different systems supporting different business functions but each can be
classified by pattern (e.g. transactional, n–tier, client–server).
Building code: Standards – common principles and standards that drive architectural decisions and
design (e.g. web services must be used for integration, off–shelf preferred over custom build).

A Report On Agile Methodology
Article On Agile Methodology Many people think that, Agile and Plan–Driven are the quiet
opposite methodologies used in software development process. Plan–Driven Methods mainly focus
on the critical milestones in the projects rather than the small milestones. As the name indicates,
everything in this process is pre planned and pre specified. Excessive pre planning puts more strain
on the development team even if there is a small change in design, technology. These plans are the
sources of delay in deliverables and causes rework On the other hand, while reviewing the projects
(larger ones) using risk–driven process, they need to have at least three major check points to know
whether the project is going in the right direction or not and these check points works as project
progress indicators. Requirements: According to Highsmith and Cockburn, Agile methodology is
suitable for the projects, which are turbulent, high change environments and moving target projects.
According to them in complex systems, requirements are emergent rather than pre specified. This is
called moving target problem in software industry. Agile methodology welcomes these kind of late
changes even late in the development stage and proved success. On the other hand, plan–driven
method is suitable for the projects where the requirements are not volatile that is the developers
could identify the requirements in advance. If the requirements are changing at higher rate, then this
process encounters

FEAF is business driven and is the U.S. Federal Government's answer to enterprise architecture that
provides a framework for complex established systems to be able to share information technology
across agencies. We will be discussing a case analysis that covers the five interrelated reference
models that is used to bring commonality and consistent enterprise architecture for the improvement

The strengths of FEAF is the flushing out of duplicated efforts between Agencies once the
framework is applied. This opens the door to collaboration providing opportunities to continue to
share information between the Agencies involved. By identifying duplicated efforts a larger Return
on Investment (ROI) can be achieved. When the framework is applied and the Agencies principles
are identified strategic goals can be reached. Another benefit to the FEAF approach is a design to
help eliminate duplication of effort which leads to waste. Another is the being able to develop a
common approach to government, industry standards that are legally compliant. Of the legal
mandates the Clinger–Cohen Act of 1996 says that Federal Agencies must develop and maintain
enterprise architecture. (2) Of the many EA frameworks FEAF has the most coverage but it still
does not cover all the desired aspects of EA. The weakness in FEAF is that it is designed for federal
agencies. While this is good it does not necessarily fit corporations unless you are catering to
Federal Agencies. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services uses FEAF to build their business
architecture, data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture. These
architectures are what maintain the CMS EA tool called Troux Architect. This tool allows for the
alignment Office of Management and Budget's FEAF. (1) Being able

The Success Of Accuracy And Efficiency Of Neuromorphic...
The success of accuracy and efficiency of neuromorphic architectures led to the the advent of more
applications that demanded even more work in this field.Advancement at architecture level and state
of the art in silicon neural processing began in the early 1980's when Carver Mead, widely regarded
as the father of neuromorphic computing, wrote the book "Analog VLSI and Neural Systems.". The
following sections of the paper provide a comprehensive survey of the prior art discussing the
current trends in neuromorphic chips.
A. Device Technology and Neuron Architecture
Developments in electronic devices is trending towards lesser area and more functionality. This trend
has been driven by Moore's Law (*?) [1965_Moore] which states that transistor density will double
every 18 months and as it is evident from roadmap of semiconductor technology that this law has
reached its bottleneck[3].So when scaling in terms of dimensions and voltage was no longer and
effective alternative we enter into the 'More than Moore regime' that involves exploring other
alternative strategies for improving efficiency and transistor density and neuromorphic architectures
is one of them. Digital neurons are able to have high throughput, consume less power, and increase
the density, which make a compelling argument for their future.Analog neuron don't affect scaling
yet they still have a seat at the table when it comes to neuromorphic architectures. Authors

The Health Information Portability And Accountability Act...
When dealing with electronic health care information, the United States federal government has
acknowledged that there is a need to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of that
information. This need has been codified within the Code of Federal Regulations as the Health
Insurance Reform: Security Standards of 2003, part of the overall Security Rule contained in the
Health Information Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Although the federal rules detail the
need for the protection of health information, Professor Fue and Professor Blum in 2013 extended
the need to ensure that security is built into other systems that affect individual's health (Fue &
Blum, 2013). Although there is no explicit requirement for architecture called out in Fue & Blum's
analysis, architecture is a necessary requirement to ensure the existence of the level of security
needed by these systems affecting individuals' health.
Multiple examples of negative outcomes are given within the article, with costs varying from
monetary to the cost of an individual's life. Seeing that medical technology is continuing its reliance
on technology as it evolves, it becomes clear to see that there is a need to ensure that the
technologies used within healthcare are not negatively impacted by the realization of a security risk.
The question is how to lower these risks in a way that is not cost prohibitive but can still be useful.
The first method is the recommendation by the FDA that all

Technology is embedded in almost every aspect of business today. Information technology has now
become a primary driver of market differentiation, business growth, and profitability. This new
Internet led the evolution of the ubiquitous Web 2.0 that is capable of integrating physical and
virtual world entities. Web 2.0 was characterized by specialized, publicly available data sources (e.g.
mapping data, weather information, etc.) accessible via light–weight APIs (Application
Programming Interfaces) that can be used to create value–added services in the form of Mashups.
The propagation of Web APIs has transformed the Web into a platform for collaborative
development and information sharing. The core of this story on the services transformation is not
about the scale of the services nor is it about the revolution in digital technology. Rather, this story is
about how the application of rule–based information technology tools to service activities is
transforming the services component of the economy and mutating the web to become a nimble,

To define the model and put that model into practice, collections of the values, principles and
practices and agile modeling should be light weight.
To use the agile approach on applying the modeling techniques on the projects which are eXtreme

Agile Methods For New Generation Developers
Student Id: 700617032 Agile Methods Summary In the last decades the trend to agile and even
extreme methods has been the most significant event where agile methods provide developers with a
comprehensive method of tools and options. It is a traditionalists approaching perfection through
reusing extension planning and certifies processes. Because of new generation developers and
change in information technology lead a reduction in which ASD manifesto calls revitalized
approach to development, but manifesto god shattered. Over $3 billion of US federal aviations
administrations advanced automation system for national air traffic control gave in to graves due to
software disaster, still browser battles went in–between Netscape and Microsoft due to changes
responded on the critical technical success. However they have their own thesis on this. Planning
Spectrum In general, a planning of a system acts a backbone for itself; agile methods have a great
planning compared to normal hacking techniques. But still hardcore hackers use agile principles in
finding out whether on organization using the same or not. Plan driven methods as a major
milestones made a great response with programmers like extreme programming which needs agile
method trained to change levels of technology and upgrades. This draws a point that people of tactic
knowledge can have a hand in developing agile methods than high capable people. Plan driven
methods are best until a proper developers goes according to the

Model Driven Improvement ( Mdd )
Introduction:
Model–driven improvement (MDD) is a software designing approach that uses model to make
software. Model–driven advancement is now and then utilized reciprocally with model–driven
engineering, and may allude to particular tools and resources, or a model–driven methodology. A
model is a simplified representation used to explain the workings of a real world system or event.
a)
Software development is the process of developing software through successive phases in an orderly
way. This process includes not only the actual writing of code but also the preparation of
requirements and objectives, the design of what is to be coded, and confirmation that what is
developed has met objectives. It is the process of developing a product which under going different
phases of development life cycle like documenting, testing and bug fixing through which the
product outcome may be expected to be successful according to the requirements of the user.
b)
Methodology is defined as a a system of methods used in a particular area of study or activity. So in
any development process of a software product it should be undergone through some phases from
the initial stage like planning to the delivery of the product. Software development needs some
process as it is being developed to meet some standards and requirements of the user in any system.
In software engineering, a software development methodology also known as software development

Abstract: Software architecture is important because of communication among stakeholders, Design
decisions for understanding software, transferable design of a system. Software architecture
represents a common design of a system that most if not all of the system 's stakeholders can use as
a basis for mutual understanding, negotiation, agreement, and communication. Software architecture
manifests the earliest design decisions about a system, and these early bindings carry weight .It is
also the earliest point at which design decisions governing the system to be built can be analyzed.
Software architecture constitutes a relatively small, intellectually understandable model for how a
system is structured and how its elements work together, and this model is transferable across
systems. There are different types of architectural styles: Distributed architecture, data flow
architecture, implicit asynchronous architecture, data centered architecture, hierarchical architecture
and interaction oriented architecture. This paper compares all the architectural styles and aspects of
comparison are category, styles, advantages, disadvantages, examples.

Some of the most crucial ones are listed below:
a. Type of Data: A data could be broadly classified in to three types viz. structured data, unstructured
data and semi–structured data. Structured data are those which reside in a fixed field within a record
or a file such as customer's name, address, phone number etc. Unstructured data refers to
information that is not organized in a pre–defined manner. Examples of Unstructured model include
images, videos, word presentations etc. It is estimated that unstructured data occupies almost 80% of
all available data in organizations. Semi–structured data are those that do not have a strict data
model. For example, an email contains both structured data such as sender's name, recipient's name
and subject and also unstructured portion such as attachments and body of the letter.

such data are handled by XML as data traverses through various layers via an Enterprise Service

Model Driven Architectures ( Soa )
Model Driven Architectures Introduction Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) is a design pattern
which involves using web services in order to perform various business operations. This type of
architecture enables applications to be more flexible and adaptable to changing business and
consumer requirements. A Software Product Line (SPL) is a set of software systems that share
certain common features in terms of their specifications, the market segment they are built for and
the principles they are built by. Service Oriented Architectures and Software Product Lines are two
concepts that led to the emergence of Model Driven Architectures. Model Driven Architectures
(MDA) is a concept that was developed by the Object Management Group (OMG) in 2001. [1] The
concept of Model Driven Architectures was developed in order to tackle the challenges presented by
complexity and change. Rapidly changing requirements and technologies introduce various changes
in software. These changes, in turn, result in the introduction of complexity in software or a family
of software. Model Driven Architectures attempt to connect platform–specific and platform–
independent implementations in a software product line. [4] MDA Concepts The standard
architecture for Model Driven Architecture involves certain concepts which are briefly explained in
this section. A software system consists of a set of components and/or applications that
communicate with each other. A model of such a system is its description

As technology is increasing on a rapid scale there is much need for the different software
development approaches to be modified and enhanced in order to face the present customer

XP is one of the agile methods which is defined as Extreme Programming, many new developers
and designers are tending to follow these methodologies than the age old techniques. But managers
who are accustomed to the traditional way of software development are finding it difficult in
accepting these new approaches. Furthermore the plan–driven approach also has many underlying
advantages such as focusing on the major goals of the project which is named as major milestone
on the contrary to micro milestones or inch pebbles. In the plan–driven approach more planning is
emphasized which pressurize the development teams to follow the pre specified documentation even
at the minor levels of modification at technology, commercial and personal aspects. The author of
the article suggests that there should be at least three milestones in the software development
process. Firstly for the progress of the project in order to know the current status of the project.
Secondly for the stakeholder's checkpoint i.e. to check the progress on the development process
form the stakeholders point of view whether the commitment given to them is fulfilled or not. The
planning spectrum demonstrates the models on straight line where the unplanned hacking is on the
left of the spectrum and the inch pebble in on the extreme right.

For the successful development of agile modeling stake holder's participation plays an important
role because they know what they want and give you a good feedback.
Values:
Agile modeling helps in extending the values of extreme programming. The agile modeling values
includes are as follows.
communication,
simplicity,
feedback,
courage and humility
The success of the agile modeling lies between the better communication between the customers and
the software developers. This better communication leads for the good understanding in the
modeling phase about the requirements of the customers. So, this will helps to meet the needs of the
stakeholders. And having the feedback on the work is very important. And also humility by letting
others also to add the value to the project efforts.
Principles:
Modeling should be simple.
Should be quick in changes because requirements of the customers will change over time.
Changes should be made for enable agility.
As mention above feedback should be taken on the work to meet the needs of the stakeholders.
Start the model with a purpose and take and refer multiple models for the effective development.
Representation is very important than content.
Modeler should have knowledge about the tools.
Focus is need for the better quality of work.
Practices:
Several Models should be created parallel.
Right artifacts.
Small increments should be used in a model.

Article 1 summary
This article is mainly describing about the architecture of software intensive systems by using
multiples of concurrent views, which is allows to study about the various stakeholders , end
users, developers, system engineering, project managers,etc.., and to handle indusully functional and
non function requirements.
Mainly software architecture deals with the design and implementation of high level structure in
software. It is the result of combination of many architectural elements in some well chose from to
satisfy the functionality requirements and non functional requirements like
reliability,scalability,portability,and avalibility.
It is very difficult to represent the architecture in the set of boxes and arrows which shown on these
diagrams. So as the remedy, author has proposed the description of a software architecture using
several concurrent views, each one address one particular set of concerns.
A View model is in system engineering or software engineering is a framework which defines
coherent set of views to be used in construction of software architecture
Philippine kruchten designed the 4+1 view model which describes the architecture of software–

The Benefits Of Software Creation
Long time technology pundit David Kirkpatrick may have been the first to note the phenomenon
way back in 2011 when he wrote – Now every company is a software company. That comment,
which may have been intentionally hyperbolic at the time, has become reality in 2017. To wit, those
organizations not leveraging great customer–facing and employee–facing software lack the means to
compete effectively. To be fair, it's clear many enterprises today are scrambling to identify the means
to update their organizations by incorporating these tools.
As you might guess, investors like ourselves here at Greylock Partners are very aware of this mega–
trend, as it represents an outstanding, once–in–a–generation opportunity to invest in the companies

Put simply it removes the responsibility of executing actual code or managing infrastructure by
moving that role into the domain of the cloud provider. It's only serverless in the sense that the
development team no longer needs to worry about computing resources, containers, virtual
machines, security, or loading code and running it. In brief, almost everything related to software
creation is abstracted from the team with the exception of development.
This model delivers a host of significant benefits to development teams, particularly in the realms of
IT costs and the types of event–driven applications that we see emerging today. However, even as
dramatic as the cost–savings are predicted to be, we believe the de–coupling of application delivery
from infrastructure management will prove to be the most significant advantage, changing the nature
of software development forever.
Basically, the more an organization can abstract infrastructure management, thus hiding its
complexity from developers, the better that development team can decompose its applications into
individual services while retaining a sense of the application's complete scope and purpose, thus
dramatically improving the organization's velocity. No longer do application developers have to
manage servers, the OS, containers, security, scheduling management, or myriad other functions that

To consider what enterprise architecture means, it is important to understand its origin. All
architecture within information technology can track its ancestry back to the lessons learned from
building architecture. Enterprise Architecture is the description and visualization of the structure, a
blueprint if you will, of a given area of contemplation, its elements and their collaborations and
interrelations links vision, strategy and feasibility, focusing on usability durability and effectiveness.

More advantages of having an enterprise architecture include improved decision making, improved
adaptability to changing demands or market conditions, elimination of inefficient and redundant
processes, optimization of the use of organizational assets, and minimization of employee turnover
(Rouse, 2015). The cost–savings, business improvement, new customer segments and major new
competitive strategies can bring significant return on investment (ROI) utilizing the enterprise
architecture program. The strategic planning process which converts a business vision and strategy
into an effective enterprise change is the goal of enterprise architecture program (McGovern,
Ambler, Stevens, Linn, 2004).
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Customer–centric, Service Oriented, State–of–the–art,
Secure, Intelligent (CSI) systems redesign project would benefit from the application and use of an
enterprise architecture program. The enterprise architecture team will work with many stakeholders
within the DMV organization to outline the goals of the organization in terms of requirements,
values, and ideal solutions that will help reach their objectives. The blueprinted solution needs to be
customer focused and service oriented while addressing all of the DMV CSI redesign properties
which includes system security, and state–of–the–art methods to support the new processes. Some

With security being a big issue, we will want to make sure that the architecture document shows the
necessary aspects that make the system secure. This could be encryption algorithms or specially
designed components that make security breaches less likely. For the modifiability of the system, we
will want to have a component catalog that goes through each aspect of the system and outlines
what its functionality is. Within this document, we will also want to see the types of feature that
could possibly be added to the system and where they would recommend additional components be
built on. Figure 2: A Flow Chart of how criteria turns into architectural decisions and documentation
Database–Driven Architecture One of the most prominent software architecture design strategies is a
repositorybased system. There are two different parts of repository based that we will look at:
Blackboard architecture and Database–driven. Both of these styles have some common aspects, but
also differ somewhat. The main component of each system is based on a central data structure. This
data structure can interact with other aspects of the system. Also, the composition of these systems
allows there to be independent computational elements. This can allow several different processes to

Importance Of Software Solutions For The Decision Making...
The worldwide information landscape is changing rapidly due to innovation in technological
solutions. Technological solutions play a crucial role in decision–making through analysis of a
massive data or big data. The explosives changes in the supply and demand of the market require
firms to respond proactively and spontaneous. Accordingly, enterprises managers should be able to
collect, filter and analyze the enormous amount of data from many sources in real–time. Therefore,
organizations turned to use technologies for decision–making, solve the complex and challenging
business problems. The tools used to support decision–making has become very wide and filled with
the buzzwords. In this report, we will outline the connection between the two types of software
solutions that support the decision–making process; Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Business
Intelligence (BI).
In the early 1970s, it designed the first application of DSS to support business decisions as well as
intellectual resources for individuals to improve the quality of decisions with the computer 's ability
to solve the semi–structured problems. DSS is an information system used in decision–making,

the basis of language and communication custom query, and often used the data or the exploitation
of database / data warehouse that help managers for solution their semi–structured problems. This

Today, with the consumers who are perpetually connected to internet and prefer real–time services,
businesses need to have shorter time–to–market and provide seamless multichannel experience to
allow consumers to shift effortlessly from one channel to another. The businesses also need to rely
of big data analytics and automation to serve customers efficiently. Thus, the nature of enterprise IT
is driven by business demand to improve core business processes and bring innovation in the way
the business is conducted.
Changing role of IT in business over the period of time
Earlier, enterprises required technology updates which were limited to overhaul of network
architecture, hardware, software and data storage. Such IT transformation was common when
information technology was more to do only with the computers, software and networks. However,
with the increased business emphasis on data collaboration and flexibility, digitization is using
cloud, social media and analytics to enable business innovation. The digital transformation is not
only enhancing the consumer experience, operational processes and business models, but also
changing the company's underlying IT operating model and processes.
Currently installed enterprise architecture is constrained with the ability to respond quickly to the
evolving business needs. With the era of digital disruption and tech–savvy

Vermont Teddy Bear Essay
Vermont Teddy Bear Report
1) How would you describe Vermont Teddy Bear (VTB)'s business model (the products and services
it sells, target market/s to whom it sells them, the value proposition it offers, and its financial
model)?
Vermont Teddy Bear (VTB) has been found by John Sortino in 1981. This company has served as a
gift delivery service with three main product lines: Bears (plush toys), PajamaGrams (apparel), and
Calyx Flowers (gifts). All gift orders are made via four different channels (retail store, mail, phone,
web order), each channel supported by different software. First, VTB's customers design bears by
selecting the colors and outfits from a menu of options. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The company has decided to use different applications instead of using a single ERP system, which
in turns would make their operations smoother. They have chosen to do this in order to be cost
efficient and to focus on the specific need so each department uses a different application. That is
connected by middleware that they don't fully understand on how to operate, and are afraid that if
they attempt to change it, it would crash all of their system. This in turn makes their operational
capabilities not the strongest as it relates to their business model. On the other hand, some of the
challenges that they face is that they will not be able to complete all orders or be able to implement
improvements due to the increase volume of request that need to be processed during this time.
Some of the IT related issues are those that are associated with the different applications that are
being used. If an applications crashes then it would hold them up significantly in completing all
orders and having them be delivered on time. Primarily the lack of staffing and the lack of IS
improvements puts them at a disadvantage against their competitors who more than likely have
significant more sophisticated IS infrastructure.
3) How strong are VTB's information systems, given their strategic and operational needs? If you
were a member of the VTB Board of Directors, what concerns would you have about the IT
architecture? The Vermont Teddy Bear's information system operates on

  • 1. Is The Architectures Of The Convnets ) For Action... We investigate architectures of discriminatively trained deep Convolutional Net– works (ConvNets) for action recognition in video. The challenge is to capture the complementary information on appearance from still frames and motion be– tween frames. We also aim to generalise the best performing hand–crafted features within a data–driven learning framework. Our contribution is three–fold. First, we propose a two–stream ConvNet architec– ture which incorporates spatial and temporal networks. Second, we demonstrate that a ConvNet trained on multi–frame dense optical flow is able to achieve very good performance in spite of limited training data. Finally, we show that multi– task learning, applied to two different action classification ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The spatial stream performs action recognition from still video frames, whilst the temporal stream is trained to recognise action from motion in the form of dense optical flow. Both streams are implemented as ConvNets. Decoupling the spatial and temporal nets also allows us to exploit the availability of large amounts of annotated image data by pre–training the spatial net on the ImageNet challenge dataset [1]. Our proposed architecture is related to the two–streams hypothesis [9], according to which the human visual cortex contains two pathways: the ventral stream (which performs object recognition) and the dorsal stream (which recognises motion); though we do not investigate this connection any further here. The rest of the paper is organised as follows. In Sect. 1.1 we review the related work on action recognition using both shallow and deep architectures. In Sect. 2 we introduce the two–stream architecture and specify the Spatial ConvNet. Sect. 3 introduces the Temporal ConvNet and in particular how it generalizes the previous architectures reviewed in Sect. 1.1. A mult–task learning framework is developed in Sect. 4 in order to allow effortless combination of training data over 1 arXiv:1406.2199v2 [cs.CV] 12 Nov 2014 multiple datasets. Implementation details are given in Sect. 5, and the performance is evaluated in Sect. 6 and compared to the state of the art. • 3. Building A Target Conformant And Flexible Enterprise... Introduction: In order to build a target–conformant and flexible Enterprise Architecture, and to put it in a perspective, it is very important to analyse and visualize various academic and industrial frameworks and comprehend and define its concepts. Various definitions describe different architectural processes, systems, technologies, components and their relationships (Taleb et al, 2012a).The following section discusses three industrial and three academic frameworks which provide different viewpoints of Enterprise Architecture. Analysis: Figure 1 Viewpoints on EA Conclusion: An analysis of various industrial and academic viewpoints of Enterprise Architecture provided an insight on the inferences that can be derived from Enterprise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The importance of culture and organizational structure and the integration between them is discussed in–depth as well, in order to state the factors that need to be focused on for design of an enterprise. Bernard has further elaborated on various organization models and scrutinized them to justify the distinction between organization and enterprise. Associated risks and process of estimating the cost and benefits are eventually explored, covering several important aspects of EA. Evaluation Enterprise Architecture is defined as 'a coherent whole of principles, methods, and models that are used in the design and realization of an enterprise's organizational structure, business processes, information systems, and infrastructure' (Lankhorst et al, 2012). Over time, EA has become an integral part of organization's strategy rather than being a mere guideline, (Vaidyanathan, 2005) motivating organizations to design business–aligned enterprise systems. The author's representation of EA as a strategy, business and technology–driven process and its meta–disciplinary role thus seems accurately described. Decisions taken are often incomplete without an adequate decision supporting frameworks (Narman, 2012). Several organizations have adopted EA frameworks in order to maintain links with other systems and ultimately create integrated systems, similar to building blocks that fit together (Shah and Kourdi, 2007). • 5. Design Oriented And Patterns Oriented Perspective On An... Introduction Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a coherent set of descriptions, covering a regulations–oriented, design–oriented and patterns–oriented perspective on an enterprise, which provides indicators and controls that enable the informed governance of the enterprise's evolution and succesd1. In simple terms, an EA is a conceptual blueprint that defines the structure of an organization in terms of its operation and interaction among various units within it. As organizations become larger, operations management become bigger and more cumbersome, hence the need for an enterprise architecture framework that can describe the underlying infrastructure, providing the groundwork for the hardware, software, networks and people to work2. There are a number of enterprise architecture framework in use today with many of them having similar views and approaches in an attempt to address various needs and concerns of an organization. Zachman framework for enterprise architecture is one of the major EA framework in use today and is considered to be one of the pioneers in the ES domain. Zachman EA framework adopts principles of classical architecture that establish a common vocabulary and set of perspectives for describing complex enterprise systems2. The Zachman Framework is made up of six perspectives or views, which are Planner, Owner, Designer, Builder, Subcontractor, and User. The second dimension of Zachman's Framework deals with the six basic questions: what, how, where, who, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Enterprise Systems Architecture Of An Organization Enterprise Systems Architecture Kerven Nelson Nova Southeastern University Enterprise system Architecture (ESA) is the overall IT system architecture of an organization. This architecture is the key part of managing and evolving IT systems, and therefore the business operations, of an organization. It consists of the architectures of individual systems and their relationships in the perspective of an organization. The Air Force has a limited idea of what enterprise architecture is, how it works, and most importantly, why it is needed. The point of this paper is to discuss these key questions, to present some guidelines for implementation of enterprise architecture, and make people aware of some of the possible consequence of enterprise architecture development. Architecture is known to be necessary when considering the design of a new building. However, architecture is equally as important when considering the design and creation of a composite system within a business. Whether a business is expanding or new area is being planned, the same issues must be considered (e.g. integrated services, interoperable systems, and efficient operations). The end result of architecture is the arrangement of mechanisms under familiar principles that ease change management and ensure integrated and successful operation. The aim of UML's implementation is to provide software developers , system architects, and software engineers with tools for analysis, design and implementation of software–based systems. We can find that there are a few types of UML including class, use case, object, collaboration, sequence, activity, component deployment and statechart. For class diagrams, it become the backbone of almost every object oriented method and describe the static structure of a system. Other than that, we using actors and use cases in uses case diagram to represent the system functionality. • 11. A Model Transformation Approach For Mobile Application Nowadays, there is no stable model transformation approach for mobile application. Model transformation is one of the prominent features and the rising research area of Model Driven Engineering (MDE). There is still gap between software designer and developer because of the heavyweight of graphical modeling language like Unified Modeling Language (UML). The textual modeling language attempts to fill the gap between modeling and implementing in the development lifecycle. The proposed research work intends to transform text–based model oriented program to mobile application. UML Programming Language (Umple) uses the concept of textual modeling as a technique to reduce differences between the model and the code. The technique of model transformation is defined by meta–model and transformation rule. The proposed work intends to construct the source meta–model for model oriented program and the target meta–model for mobile application. And it also intends to define model transformation rules to bridge the gap between source and target meta–model by using ATLAS (ATL) transformation language. The proposed system expected to generate the android source project and create, retrieve, update, and delete (CRUD) android apps. Although there are already some approaches to model–driven development of mobile apps, there is still gap in model transformation approach for mobile applications. • 15. Comparison Between Different Enterprise Architecture... 4.1 Comparison of Different Enterprise Architecture Frameworks A number of EA frameworks exist in the industry with the goal of addressing the basic challenge of assessing, aligning, and organizing business objectives with technical requirements and strategies. Examples include the Zachman Enterprise Framework, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), OMB Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), and The Gartner Methodology (formerly the Meta Framework). Each framework possesses different strengths and weaknesses, which makes it difficult to find any one existing framework that is ideal for all situations. The following chart depicts how four Enterprise Architecture Frameworks compare. 4.2 How to Solve the Problem? To touch lightly on value, there are multiple levels of value and it is one of the most difficult things to measure as it contains both quantitative and qualitative aspects. But for an EA practice the following should be considered: Cost Avoidance – "How do we avoid unnecessary costs?" Cost Reduction – "How do we reduce our current spend?" Quality – "How do we improve the quality of our information?" Risk Containment – "How to we control and reduce organisational risks?" Stakeholder Value – "How do we improve our value to our stakeholders?" Resource Allocations – "How do we improve the view of demand for our services?" • 17. An Interesting Software Design Technique 3.3 DOMAIN DRIVEN ARCHITECTURE An interesting software design technique to understand and solve complexity is Domain Driven Design (DDD). Domain Driven Design advocates modeling based on the reality of business as relevant to our use cases. As it is now getting older and hype level decreasing, many of us forget that the DDD approach really helps in understanding the problem at hand and design software towards the common understanding of the solution. When building applications, DDD talks about problems as domains and subdomains. It describes independent steps/areas of problems as bounded contexts, emphasizes a common language to talk about these problems, and adds many technical concepts, like entities, value objects and aggregate root rules to support the implementation. Sometimes these technical rules are perceived as hard barriers implementing the DDD, but at the end, people tend to forget that the important part is to organize code artifacts in alignment with business problems and using the same common, ubiquitous language. Domain modeling helps to identify and separate tangled implementations, if you are lucky to have a domain model to guide you. If you don 't already have a domain model for an existing application (which is generally true in most cases), instead of going through the code to understand the different responsibilities, building a domain model and mapping the capabilities to the application at hand can probably be a better approach. INTRODUCTION This research is concerned with the study and analysis of dynamic architecture and proposes an improved structural design based on categorization based dynamic architecture. Categorization of systematic demeanor plays a significant role in dynamic structural design of architecture to determine the systematic approach, browsing, performance, accuracy, multimedia access and navigation. By achieving systematic approach, the hierarchical structure is the idea which is behind the categorization technique. The extensive opportunities and convenient software design, and the larger demand for such applications have given rise to a considerable increase in the number of people working on web applications design, Khan 2014. The PHP, J–Query is some of the important scripting languages that were used for web applications development. PHP is a server–side scripting language employed for web development but also considered as a general–purpose programming language. But in the recent times, young keen people have begun to design Web pages with the help of scripting languages without even possessing the knowledge of even the simplest principles of software design. Several authors have introduced different techniques for minimizing the complexity. One of the important methods is the introduction of the design patterns in the PHP and the creation of a new design depending on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. A Report On Agile Methodology Article On Agile Methodology Many people think that, Agile and Plan–Driven are the quiet opposite methodologies used in software development process. Plan–Driven Methods mainly focus on the critical milestones in the projects rather than the small milestones. As the name indicates, everything in this process is pre planned and pre specified. Excessive pre planning puts more strain on the development team even if there is a small change in design, technology. These plans are the sources of delay in deliverables and causes rework On the other hand, while reviewing the projects (larger ones) using risk–driven process, they need to have at least three major check points to know whether the project is going in the right direction or not and these check points works as project progress indicators. Requirements: According to Highsmith and Cockburn, Agile methodology is suitable for the projects, which are turbulent, high change environments and moving target projects. According to them in complex systems, requirements are emergent rather than pre specified. This is called moving target problem in software industry. Agile methodology welcomes these kind of late changes even late in the development stage and proved success. On the other hand, plan–driven method is suitable for the projects where the requirements are not volatile that is the developers could identify the requirements in advance. If the requirements are changing at higher rate, then this process encounters ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Enterprise Architecture Framework Paper Enterprise Architecture In this research paper we will be discussing The Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) FEAF is business driven and is the U.S. Federal Government's answer to enterprise architecture that provides a framework for complex established systems to be able to share information technology across agencies. We will be discussing a case analysis that covers the five interrelated reference models that is used to bring commonality and consistent enterprise architecture for the improvement of the government agencies adopting FEAF. Like the other frameworks FEAF is an abstract view and are covered by the 5 FEAF reference models. These models are designed to facilitate communication, cooperation, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The strengths of FEAF is the flushing out of duplicated efforts between Agencies once the framework is applied. This opens the door to collaboration providing opportunities to continue to share information between the Agencies involved. By identifying duplicated efforts a larger Return on Investment (ROI) can be achieved. When the framework is applied and the Agencies principles are identified strategic goals can be reached. Another benefit to the FEAF approach is a design to help eliminate duplication of effort which leads to waste. Another is the being able to develop a common approach to government, industry standards that are legally compliant. Of the legal mandates the Clinger–Cohen Act of 1996 says that Federal Agencies must develop and maintain enterprise architecture. (2) Of the many EA frameworks FEAF has the most coverage but it still does not cover all the desired aspects of EA. The weakness in FEAF is that it is designed for federal agencies. While this is good it does not necessarily fit corporations unless you are catering to Federal Agencies. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services uses FEAF to build their business architecture, data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture. These architectures are what maintain the CMS EA tool called Troux Architect. This tool allows for the alignment Office of Management and Budget's FEAF. (1) Being able ... The following sections of the paper provide a comprehensive survey of the prior art discussing the current trends in neuromorphic chips. A. Device Technology and Neuron Architecture Developments in electronic devices is trending towards lesser area and more functionality. This trend has been driven by Moore's Law (*?) [1965_Moore] which states that transistor density will double every 18 months and as it is evident from roadmap of semiconductor technology that this law has reached its bottleneck[3].So when scaling in terms of dimensions and voltage was no longer and effective alternative we enter into the 'More than Moore regime' that involves exploring other alternative strategies for improving efficiency and transistor density and neuromorphic architectures is one of them. Digital neurons are able to have high throughput, consume less power, and increase the density, which make a compelling argument for their future.Analog neuron don't affect scaling yet they still have a seat at the table when it comes to neuromorphic architectures. When dealing with electronic health care information, the United States federal government has acknowledged that there is a need to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of that information. This need has been codified within the Code of Federal Regulations as the Health Insurance Reform: Security Standards of 2003, part of the overall Security Rule contained in the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Although the federal rules detail the need for the protection of health information, Professor Fue and Professor Blum in 2013 extended the need to ensure that security is built into other systems that affect individual's health (Fue & Blum, 2013). Although there is no explicit requirement for architecture called out in Fue & Blum's analysis, architecture is a necessary requirement to ensure the existence of the level of security needed by these systems affecting individuals' health. Multiple examples of negative outcomes are given within the article, with costs varying from monetary to the cost of an individual's life. Seeing that medical technology is continuing its reliance on technology as it evolves, it becomes clear to see that there is a need to ensure that the technologies used within healthcare are not negatively impacted by the realization of a security risk. The question is how to lower these risks in a way that is not cost prohibitive but can still be useful. The first method is the recommendation by the FDA that all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Model–driven advancement is now and then utilized reciprocally with model–driven engineering, and may allude to particular tools and resources, or a model–driven methodology. A model is a simplified representation used to explain the workings of a real world system or event. a) Software development is the process of developing software through successive phases in an orderly way. This process includes not only the actual writing of code but also the preparation of requirements and objectives, the design of what is to be coded, and confirmation that what is developed has met objectives. It is the process of developing a product which under going different phases of development life cycle like documenting, testing and bug fixing through which the product outcome may be expected to be successful according to the requirements of the user. b) Methodology is defined as a a system of methods used in a particular area of study or activity. Model Driven Architectures ( Soa ) Model Driven Architectures Introduction Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) is a design pattern which involves using web services in order to perform various business operations. This type of architecture enables applications to be more flexible and adaptable to changing business and consumer requirements. A Software Product Line (SPL) is a set of software systems that share certain common features in terms of their specifications, the market segment they are built for and the principles they are built by. Service Oriented Architectures and Software Product Lines are two concepts that led to the emergence of Model Driven Architectures. Model Driven Architectures (MDA) is a concept that was developed by the Object Management Group (OMG) in 2001. [1] The concept of Model Driven Architectures was developed in order to tackle the challenges presented by complexity and change. Rapidly changing requirements and technologies introduce various changes in software. These changes, in turn, result in the introduction of complexity in software or a family of software. Model Driven Architectures attempt to connect platform–specific and platform– independent implementations in a software product line. Mainly software architecture deals with the design and implementation of high level structure in software. It is the result of combination of many architectural elements in some well chose from to satisfy the functionality requirements and non functional requirements like reliability, scalability, portability, and avalibility. It is very difficult to represent the architecture in the set of boxes and arrows which shown on these diagrams. So as the remedy, author has proposed the description of a software architecture using several concurrent views, each one address one particular set of concerns. A View model is in system engineering or software engineering is a framework which defines coherent set of views to be used in construction of software architecture Philippine kruchten designed the 4+1 view model which describes the architecture of software– intensive systems using multiple ,concurrent views. The four view model are logical, development, process and physical. In addition to this selected scenarios are used to describes the serving as 'plus one ' view.use case view has a special significance, it effectively redundant ,deals with high ... The Benefits Of Software Creation Long time technology pundit David Kirkpatrick may have been the first to note the phenomenon way back in 2011 when he wrote – Now every company is a software company. That comment, which may have been intentionally hyperbolic at the time, has become reality in 2017. To wit, those organizations not leveraging great customer–facing and employee–facing software lack the means to compete effectively. To be fair, it's clear many enterprises today are scrambling to identify the means to update their organizations by incorporating these tools. As you might guess, investors like ourselves here at Greylock Partners are very aware of this mega– trend, as it represents an outstanding, once–in–a–generation opportunity to invest in the companies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Put simply it removes the responsibility of executing actual code or managing infrastructure by moving that role into the domain of the cloud provider. It's only serverless in the sense that the development team no longer needs to worry about computing resources, containers, virtual machines, security, or loading code and running it. In brief, almost everything related to software creation is abstracted from the team with the exception of development. This model delivers a host of significant benefits to development teams, particularly in the realms of IT costs and the types of event–driven applications that we see emerging today. However, even as dramatic as the cost–savings are predicted to be, we believe the de–coupling of application delivery from infrastructure management will prove to be the most significant advantage, changing the nature of software development forever. Basically, the more an organization can abstract infrastructure management, thus hiding its complexity from developers, the better that development team can decompose its applications into individual services while retaining a sense of the application's complete scope and purpose, thus dramatically improving the organization's velocity. No longer do application developers have to manage servers, the OS, containers, security, scheduling management, or myriad other functions that can and should be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Enterprise Architecture Justification Paper Va Dmv Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles Enterprise Architecture Justification Paper Case Study Written by: June 14, 2000 IFSM 311 Professor To consider what enterprise architecture means, it is important to understand its origin. All architecture within information technology can track its ancestry back to the lessons learned from building architecture. Enterprise Architecture is the description and visualization of the structure, a blueprint if you will, of a given area of contemplation, its elements and their collaborations and interrelations links vision, strategy and feasibility, focusing on usability durability and effectiveness. More advantages of having an enterprise architecture include improved decision making, improved adaptability to changing demands or market conditions, elimination of inefficient and redundant processes, optimization of the use of organizational assets, and minimization of employee turnover (Rouse, 2015). The cost–savings, business improvement, new customer segments and major new competitive strategies can bring significant return on investment (ROI) utilizing the enterprise architecture program. The strategic planning process which converts a business vision and strategy into an effective enterprise change is the goal of enterprise architecture program (McGovern, Ambler, Stevens, Linn, 2004). The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Customer–centric, Service Oriented, State–of–the–art, Secure, Intelligent (CSI) systems redesign project would benefit from the application and use of an enterprise architecture program. The enterprise architecture team will work with many stakeholders within the DMV organization to outline the goals of the organization in terms of requirements, values, and ideal solutions that will help reach their objectives. The blueprinted solution needs to be customer focused and service oriented while addressing all of the DMV CSI redesign properties which includes system security, and state–of–the–art methods to support the new processes. There are so many different systems that we interact with on a daily basis that we do not recognize are closely tied to software architecture decisions. These systems handle things from stoplights, electricity, televisions, communications, and many other things. Another example of a software system involved with our life is a system that powers banks and financial networks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With security being a big issue, we will want to make sure that the architecture document shows the necessary aspects that make the system secure. This could be encryption algorithms or specially designed components that make security breaches less likely. For the modifiability of the system, we will want to have a component catalog that goes through each aspect of the system and outlines what its functionality is. Within this document, we will also want to see the types of feature that could possibly be added to the system and where they would recommend additional components be built on. Figure 2: A Flow Chart of how criteria turns into architectural decisions and documentation Database–Driven Architecture One of the most prominent software architecture design strategies is a repositorybased system. There are two different parts of repository based that we will look at: Blackboard architecture and Database–driven. Both of these styles have some common aspects, but also differ somewhat. The main component of each system is based on a central data structure. This data structure can interact with other aspects of the system. Also, the composition of these systems allows there to be independent computational elements. This can allow several different processes to run at a time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 76. Importance Of Software Solutions For The Decision Making... The worldwide information landscape is changing rapidly due to innovation in technological solutions. Technological solutions play a crucial role in decision–making through analysis of a massive data or big data. The explosives changes in the supply and demand of the market require firms to respond proactively and spontaneous. Accordingly, enterprises managers should be able to collect, filter and analyze the enormous amount of data from many sources in real–time. Therefore, organizations turned to use technologies for decision–making, solve the complex and challenging business problems. The tools used to support decision–making has become very wide and filled with the buzzwords. In this report, we will outline the connection between the two types of software solutions that support the decision–making process; Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Business Intelligence (BI). In the early 1970s, it designed the first application of DSS to support business decisions as well as intellectual resources for individuals to improve the quality of decisions with the computer 's ability to solve the semi–structured problems. DSS is an information system used in decision–making, imagine starting from the idea of support and some of the principles of interaction or active use, on the basis of language and communication custom query, and often used the data or the exploitation of database / data warehouse that help managers for solution their semi–structured problems. Today, with the consumers who are perpetually connected to internet and prefer real–time services, businesses need to have shorter time–to–market and provide seamless multichannel experience to allow consumers to shift effortlessly from one channel to another. The businesses also need to rely of big data analytics and automation to serve customers efficiently. Thus, the nature of enterprise IT is driven by business demand to improve core business processes and bring innovation in the way the business is conducted. Changing role of IT in business over the period of time Earlier, enterprises required technology updates which were limited to overhaul of network architecture, hardware, software and data storage. Such IT transformation was common when information technology was more to do only with the computers, software and networks. However, with the increased business emphasis on data collaboration and flexibility, digitization is using cloud, social media and analytics to enable business innovation. The digital transformation is not only enhancing the consumer experience, operational processes and business models, but also changing the company's underlying IT operating model and processes.

Vermont Teddy Bear Essay Vermont Teddy Bear Report 1) How would you describe Vermont Teddy Bear (VTB)'s business model (the products and services it sells, target market/s to whom it sells them, the value proposition it offers, and its financial model)? Vermont Teddy Bear (VTB) has been found by John Sortino in 1981. This company has served as a gift delivery service with three main product lines: Bears (plush toys), PajamaGrams (apparel), and Calyx Flowers (gifts). All gift orders are made via four different channels (retail store, mail, phone, web order), each channel supported by different software. First, VTB's customers design bears by selecting the colors and outfits from a menu of options. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The company has decided to use different applications instead of using a single ERP system, which in turns would make their operations smoother. They have chosen to do this in order to be cost efficient and to focus on the specific need so each department uses a different application. That is connected by middleware that they don't fully understand on how to operate, and are afraid that if they attempt to change it, it would crash all of their system. This in turn makes their operational capabilities not the strongest as it relates to their business model. On the other hand, some of the challenges that they face is that they will not be able to complete all orders or be able to implement improvements due to the increase volume of request that need to be processed during this time. Some of the IT related issues are those that are associated with the different applications that are being used. If an applications crashes then it would hold them up significantly in completing all orders and having them be delivered on time. Primarily the lack of staffing and the lack of IS improvements puts them at a disadvantage against their competitors who more than likely have significant more sophisticated IS infrastructure. 3) How strong are VTB's information systems, given their strategic and operational needs? If you were a member of the VTB Board of Directors, what concerns would you have about the IT architecture? The Vermont Teddy Bear's information system operates on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
