1. Tiffany is a 17 year old who lives in Ruislip. She find deep interest in music, partially Rock music as it consists of
all the instruments that transfer an upright and catchy beat. She views Rock music as a unique genre that
respects musical instruments for what they are. Tiffany turns to Rock music when she is undergoing a heavy
amount of emotions at once, for instance if she is going through a hard time with friends or family, rock music
is always something she can effectively relate to due to the meaningful lyrics being produced. In fact music has
been a big part of her life as she sees it as something to escape to for help whilst dealing with her problems.
Tiffany is an active person who likes to go and hang out with her friends. Her favourite outing would be going
to a concert as it would provide her a new experience to keep in her memories.
Tiffany works hard on her studies but also tried to fill in some stress free time by opening up a Kerrang music
magazine and indulging herself in the content that is provided. She sees music magazines as an effective way to
keep in touch with the music industry without having to go online and being overloaded with a variety of
different gossip stories. She also likes to read magazines as it is an organised and trustworthy piece of media to
access. Overall Tiffany has a deep connection with the music being provided in her particular music magazines
she reads.
2. Max is a 20 year old guy who is in university currently
studying law and politics. Though he wants to get into a very
professional field and might not seem like the type to love
Indie music, he very much does. Max finds Indie music as a
way of getting away from all the stress and hard work that is
put into all his courses of work he submits. Max sees
university as a great opportunity to help him get into his
career but he also sees it as very daunting. This is where his
love for Indie music comes in, Max believes the music
provides him with a different relaxing and chilled feeling
which contrasts with the amount of pressure he is put in.
Max spends some of his nights sitting in bed and reading a
music magazine from Q or Rock when he gets the chance. He
finds it interesting learning about the different activities going
on in a completely different field of what he is going into. This
gives him the effect that he is part of two fields rather than
just one, making him feel more involved with the activities
around him.
