Evaluation question 4 who would be the audience for your media product (customer profile)
1. INDIE MAGAZINE CUSTOMER PROFILE 1
Kelly, aged 19 is a student currently studying for a degree in her
first year of university. She is very individually dressed and will
not leave the house without wearing a hat. When she is not
studying she likes to go out to lots of concerts of relatively
unknown bands. She finds these gigs have a better atmosphere
than larger artists and they are also cheaper which fits her
student budget. Kelly also spends a considerable amount of
time on Twitter and Tumblr discussing and keeping up with the
bands she likes. She isn’t really into going out to parties and
drinking, she would much rather stay in and teach herself songs
on her ukulele and guitar to put onto her YouTube channel.
Kelly is also into art and creative studies so spends the
remainder of her time when not studying, creating artwork and
writing. Kelly buys music magazines on a monthly basis.

is now in a band that are just starting out. Will plays keyboard and
sings in the band and also plays solo gigs when he is not playing with
the other 3 members of the band. He prefers these gigs to be in
smaller venues. When not playing with the band, he likes to go out
over the weekends with his friends around the clubs and enjoys a few
drinks of beer while he is out. Will dresses very plainly and his outfit
usually consists of chinos and a shirt and he wears Vans pumps. He is a
good songwriter and he gets his inspiration from a number of
unknown indie bands who, a lot of the time, feature in Indie
magazine. He uses Twitter and Facebook to keep his small fan base up
to date with gigs and shows. He also likes to frequently read music
magazines to keep up to date with his favourite bands and artists.
