influences the reader into supporting the magazines opinion on a
certain story or artist that they have written about. This is
successfully done by presenting the magazine to be trustworthy
and professional therefore giving the reader a higher reason to
trust their opinion. Q magazine does this exceptionally well by
using well known and famous artists to cover in their magazine
front cover. This gives the effect that this magazine is educated on
these artists as having met them themselves which means that
their opinion would be more accurate than others. This takes over
our own opinion unless we have actually met and talked to this
particular artist (like Q magazine have)
The second theory that is used in Q magazine is the theory. This is
where pleasure from an audience is used to the magazines
advantage. Q magazine makes sure it includes entertainment
(different prizes to be won using social media) surveillance
(information consisted in articles) personal identity (information
the reader can relate to) and a personal relationships with the
reader. The magazine does this by opening up social media
accounts and getting in touch with some fans by holding prizing

demand is wanted. Furthermore this would work well as Q
magazine is a popular magazine in the UK. Having only been sold
in the UK, this attracts other people from different countries to
purchase a Q magazine as it would be very rare in other leading
countries like America.
The magazine also advertises itself by using social media accounts
like twitter to grab target audiences. This is effective as many of
their target audiences would be on social media which would
mean loads of people see their advertisements. They also
advertise their magazines by placing the magazine on billboards
where it would be viewed by a large majority of audiences.

4. Language used in a magazine mostly covers the ingredients of
what makes the magazine, Q magazine. We question what draws
us towards the magazine. Q magazine often draws me to their
magazine due to their big, red logo. This is especially effective as
its a logo that is quite hard to miss which means we would notice
it if it were advertised with other magazines in a store.
Furthermore the logo is also effective as it is normally always red,
this means that if it were to be a different colour (which is how Q
Magazine highlight a special feature) then we would easily notice
the magazine and immediately be attracted to it.
Additionally, having a famous artist featured on the magazines
front cover is a clear indication that this magazine is all about
music. This would also attract big fans of the specific artist being
featured which results in the fan buying the magazines out of
loyalty to their supposing ‘role model’
Concerning the context of the articles, ive noticed that Q
magazine uses numerous first and second person pronouns as a
way to constantly grab the audiences attention whilst reading the
article. Additionally the use of these pronouns make the reader
feel important as the magazine is directing the information
towards them resulting in an increasing relationship with the
magazine. Furthermore if the reader and magazine share the
same interests, it enables the reader to relate and enjoy the
magazine much more than someone who doesn't share the same
interests as the reader. This is why language in media is incredibly
important in attracting the right type of target audience .

5. Q magazine represents its artists on the front cover depending on what
the article is about. For instance if the story were to be a sad story about
the artist being features magazine would make the artist look like he or
she is depressed or alone. This would result in the reader feeling
sympathetic for the certain audience and would most likely pick the
magazine and read the article as a sign of support or respect.
Furthermore the magazine also uses popular artists that contain a
massive fan base. This would mean that fans of the artist would purchase
the magazine due to the advertising done from the artists social media
account. In a way, this works out for both the artist, magazine and reader
as everyone is benefiting from the artist being on the front cover.
Q Magazines obvious objectives would be to entertain the audience that
they are conducting their information to as this would gain them a more
higher fan base as different types of target audiences would tell each
other about their works if it is satisfying and interesting.
Another objective that this magazine would aim for is to get as many
sales as possible in order to gain high profits in which would benefit and
keep the company running. Furthermore having high sales can allow
them to dominate the market in media with their ever growing magazine.
Overall Q Magazine represents their magazine in a good way which can
be seen through their own progress in their company which was founded
in 2008. Its currently a very popular magazine in the UK. To enlarge their
growth and publicity Q magazine should go sell their products in different
countries and also have a large journalism base which would help
retrieve information fast and effectively. This would allow them to sell
their music magazines weekly instead of monthly which would therefore
give them a high profit.
