3. What is Paper Battery
A paper battery is a thin, flexible energy production and storage device
that is formed by combining carbon nanotubes with a conventional sheet
of cellulose-based paper.
4. History of paper battery
In august 2007 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a research team conducted by
Dr.Robert Linhardt, Dr.Omkaram Nalumasu developed paper battery.
In December 2009 at Stanford University, Yi cui and his research team successfully
invented the paper battery and it’s Output 1.5 v.
5. Difference between other battery and paper
battery
Other battery
Generally we are use many type battery in todays
world for example speakers, remotes ,watch, mobile,
laptops, toys, torches, etc.
Shape and size of these battery's are different some
small, large, medium
These battery are heavy and cover space according
shape and size
Paper battery
Paper battery is unique because it space and size. It
is ultra thin and flexible no heavy and same athor
battery's store energy and reduce energy.
We can roll and fold it it without hesitation.
6. Applications
Electronics
wireless communication device like Speakers
mouse, keyboard, Bluetooth headsets. Ect
Powered smart cards
Smart toys, children sound books
Smart watch and wireless digital bands
7. Advantage
We can re-use and re-cycle.
Flexible and light in weight.
It can be manufactured with desired shape and size
It is environment friendly.
There is no leakage problem as no leaky fluids are used in its design
The paper battery are rechargeable using all electrolytes.
8. Disadvantage
The carbon nanotubes used in paper battery are very expensive.
The paper battery wastage may damage lungs if it is inhaled.
The e-wastage is generated by paper battery.
9. Conclusion
Paper battery plays in impact role to avoid the maximum number in our
word
By using this battery in electronic equipment we can reduce the
Occupying space of alkaline and lithium battery.
