In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1. O Prophet, fear Allah
and do not obey the
disbelievers and the
hypocrites. Indeed, Allah
is All Knower, All Wise.

2. And follow that which is
revealed to you from your
Lord. Indeed, Allah is
Aware of what you do.

y7Îi/¢‘4χÎ)©!$#tβ%x.$yϑÎ/
tβθè=yϑ÷ès?#ZÎ7yz∩⊄∪
3. And put your trust
in Allah. And Allah is
sufficient as Trustee.

«!$$Î/Wξ‹Ï.uρ∩⊂∪
4. Allah has not made for
any man two hearts within
$¨ΒŸ≅yèy_ª!$#9≅ã_tÏ9⎯ÏiΒ

2. his body. And He has not
made your wives, those whom
you divorce by zihar among
them, your mothers. And He
has not made your adopted
sons your (true) sons. That is
(merely) your saying by your
mouths. And Allah says the
truth, and He guides to the
(right) path.

5. Call them (adopted sons)
by (the names of) their
fathers, that is more just
with Allah. Then if you do
not know their fathers, then
they are your brothers in the
faith and your friends. And
there is no blame upon you
for that in which you make a
mistake, but what your
hearts deliberately intend.
And Allah is Forgiving,
Merciful.

6. The Prophet is closer
to the believers than
their own selves, and his
wives are (as) their
©É<¨Ζ9$#4’n<÷ρr&š⎥⎫ÏΖÏΒ÷σßϑø9$$Î/ô⎯ÏΒ
öΝÍκŦàΡr&(ÿ…çμã_≡uρø—r&uρöΝåκçJ≈yγ¨Βé&3

3. mothers. And those of blood
relationship among each
other are closer in the Book
(decree) of Allah than the
(other) believers and the
emigrants, except that you
should do kindness to your
friends. That has been
written in the Book.

7. And when We took from
the prophets their covenant,
and from you (O
Muhammad) and from Noah
and Abraham and Moses and
Jesus, son of Mary. And We
took from them a solemn
covenant.

8. That He may ask the
truthful about their truth.
And He has prepared for
the disbelievers a painful
punishment.

9. O you who believe,
remember Allah’s favor

4. upon you when armies
came to (attack) you, then
We sent upon them a
wind and armies (of angels),
whom you did not see.
And Allah is All Seer of
what you do.

10. When they came at you
from above you and from
below you, and when the
eyes grew wild (in fear) and
the hearts reached the
throats, and you were
imagining about Allah vain
thoughts.

11. There, the believers were
tried and were shaken with
a severe shaking.
y7Ï9$uΖèδu’Í?çGö/$#šχθãΖÏΒ÷σßϑø9$#
(#θä9Ì“ø9ã—uρZω#t“ø9Η#Y‰ƒÏ‰x©∩⊇⊇∪
12. And when the hypocrites,
and those in whose hearts is a
disease said: “Allah and His
Messenger did not promise us
except delusion.”
øŒÎ)uρãΑθà)tƒtβθà)Ï≈uΖßϑø9$#t⎦⎪Ï%©!$#uρ
†ÎûΝÍκÍ5θè=è%ÖÚt¨Β$¨Β$tΡy‰tãuρ
ª!$#ÿ…ã&è!θß™u‘uρωÎ)#Y‘ρáäî∩⊇⊄∪
13. And when a party of
them said: “O people of
øŒÎ)uρMs9$s%×πxÍ←!$©ÛöΝåκ÷]ÏiΒŸ≅÷δr'¯≈tƒ

5. Yathrib, there is no stand
(possible) for you, so turn
back.” And a group of them
sought permission of the
Prophet, saying: “Indeed,
our homes lie open (to the
enemy).” And they lay not
open. They did not intend
except to flee.

ãβÉ‹ø↔tGó¡o„uρ×,ƒÌsùãΝåκ÷]ÏiΒ¢©É<¨Ζ9$#

}‘Ïδ>οu‘öθyèÎ/(βÎ)tβρ߉ƒÌãƒωÎ)#Y‘#tÏù

14. And if (the enemy) had
entered upon them from its
(city) sides, then they had
been exhorted to treachery,
they would have done it, and
not hesitated over it except
little.
öθs9uρôMn=ÅzߊΝÍκön=tãô⎯ÏiΒ$yδÍ‘$sÜø%r&
§ΝèO(#θè=Í×ß™sπuΖ÷FÏø9$#$yδöθs?Uψ$tΒuρ

15. And certainly, they had
made a covenant with Allah
before not to turn their
backs. And a covenant with
Allah had to be questioned.

ã≅ö6s%Ÿωšχθ—9uθãƒt≈t/÷ŠF{$#4tβ%x.uρ

16. Say: “Fleeing will never
benefit you if you flee from
death or killing, and then you
will not dwell in comfort
except a little while.”

Οè?ö‘tsùš∅ÏiΒÏNöθyϑø9$#Íρr&È≅÷Fs)ø9$#
#]ŒÎ)uρωtβθãè−Fyϑè?ωÎ)Wξ‹Î=s%∩⊇∉∪
17. Say: “Who is he who ö≅è%⎯tΒ#sŒ“Ï%©!$#/ä3ßϑÅÁ÷ètƒz⎯ÏiΒ

6. can protect you from Allah
if He intends harm for you,
or intends mercy for you.”
And they will not find, for
themselves, other than Allah,
any friend nor helper.
«!$#÷βÎ)yŠ#u‘r&öΝä3Î/#¹™þθß™÷ρr&yŠ#u‘r&
ö/ä3Î/ZπtΗôqy‘4Ÿωuρtβρ߉Ågs†Μçλm;⎯ÏiΒ
Âχρߊ«!$#$|‹Ï9uρŸωuρ#ZÅÁtΡ∩⊇∠∪
18. Certainly, Allah knows
those who create hindrance
(in war efforts) among you,
and those (hypocrites) who
say to their brothers: “Come
to us.” And they do not come
to the battle except a little.
*ô‰s%ÞΟn=÷ètƒª!$#t⎦⎫Ï%Èhθyèßϑø9$#óΟä3ΖÏΒ
t⎦,Î#Í←!$s)ø9$#uρöΝÎγÏΡ≡uθ÷z}§Νè=yδ$uΖøŠs9Î)(
Ÿωuρtβθè?ù'tƒ}¨ù't7ø9$#ωÎ)¸ξ‹Î=s%∩⊇∇∪
19. Being miserly (of their
help) towards you. Then
when the fear comes, you
will see them looking to you,
rolling their eyes like him
over whom is fainting from
death. Then, when the fear
departs, they will smite you
with sharp tongues, in greed
for good (from the spoils of
war). Those have not
believed, so Allah has
rendered their deeds
worthless. And that is easy
for Allah.

7. 20. They think that the
(invading) hosts have not
(yet) gone. And if the hosts
should advance, they would
wish if they were in the
deserts among the wandering
Arabs, asking for the news
about you. And if they were
among you, they would not
fight, except a little.

Wξ‹Î=s%∩⊄⊃∪
21. Certainly, there is for you
in the Messenger of Allah a
good example for anyone
whose hope is in Allah and
the Last Day and who
remembers Allah much.

îοuθó™é&×πuΖ|¡ym⎯yϑÏj9tβ%x.(#θã_ötƒ

22. And when the believers
saw the (invading) hosts.
They said: “This is what
Allah and His Messenger had
promised us, and Allah and
His Messenger had spoken
the truth.” And it did not
increase them except in faith
and submission (to Allah).
$£ϑs9uρ#u™u‘tβθãΖÏΒ÷σßϑø9$#z>#t“ômF{$#
(#θä9$s%#x‹≈yδ$tΒ$tΡy‰tãuρª!$#

$tΒuρöΝèδyŠ#y—HωÎ)$YΖ≈yϑƒÎ)$VϑŠÎ=ó¡n@uρ

8. 23. Among the believers are
men who have been true to
what they covenanted with
Allah. So, of them are some
who have fulfilled their vow
(have been martyred), and
of them are some who are
still waiting. And they have
not altered (commitment) by
any alteration.
z⎯ÏiΒt⎦⎫ÏΖÏΒ÷σßϑø9$#×Α%y`Í‘(#θè%y‰|¹$tΒ
(#ρ߉yγ≈tã©!$#Ïμø‹n=tã(Νßγ÷ΨÏϑsù⎯¨Β
4©|Ós%…çμt6øtwΥΝåκ÷]ÏΒuρ⎯¨ΒãÏàtF⊥tƒ(
$tΒuρ(#θä9£‰t/WξƒÏ‰ö7s?∩⊄⊂∪
24. That Allah may reward
the men of truth for their
truth, and punish the
hypocrites if He wills, or
relent toward them. Indeed,
Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

öΝÎγÏ%ô‰ÅÁÎ/z>Éj‹yèãƒuρ

$VϑŠÏm§‘∩⊄⊆∪
25. And Allah drove back
those who disbelieved in
their rage, they gained no
advantage. And Allah
sufficed for the believers in
the fighting. And Allah is All
Strong, All Mighty.

9. 26. And He brought down
those who supported them
among the people of the
Scripture from their
fortresses, and cast into their
hearts terror. A group (of
them) you killed, and you
made captives a group.
tΑt“Ρr&uρt⎦⎪Ï%©!$#Οèδρãyγ≈sßô⎯ÏiΒÈ≅÷δr&
É=≈tGÅ3ø9$#⎯ÏΒöΝÎγŠÏ¹$uŠ|¹t∃x‹s%uρ
’ÎûãΝÎγÎ/θè=è%|=ôã”9$#$Z)ƒÌsù
šχθè=çGø)s?šχρçÅ ù's?uρ$Z)ƒÌsù
∩⊄∉∪
27. And He caused you to
inherit their land and their
houses and their wealth, and
a land you have not trodden.
And Allah is Powerful over
all things.

öΝçλm;≡uθøΒr&uρ$ZÊö‘r&uρöΝ©9$yδθä↔sÜs?4

28. O Prophet (Muhammad),
say to your wives: “If you
should desire the life of the
world and its adornment,
then come, I will make a
provision for you and
send you off (by divorce), a
graceful sending.”

£⎯çFΖä.šχ÷ŠÎè?nο4θuŠysø9$#$u‹÷Ρ‘‰9$#

29. “And if you should
desire Allah and His
βÎ)uρ£⎯çFΖä.šχ÷ŠÎè?©!$#…ã&s!θß™u‘uρ

10. Messenger and the abode of
the Hereafter, then indeed,
Allah has prepared for those
who do good amongst you an
immense reward.”

30. O wives of the Prophet,
whoever should commit
among you manifest
lewdness, for her the
punishment would be
doubled, And that is easy for
Allah.

31. And whoever is
submissive among you to
Allah and His Messenger,
and does righteous deeds. We
shall give her, her reward
twice over, and We have
prepared for her a noble
provision.

32. O wives of the Prophet,
you are not like any among
women. If you fear (Allah),
then do not be soft in speech,
lest he should be moved
with desire in whose heart is
a disease, And speak
u™!$|¡ÏΨ≈tƒÄc©É<¨Ζ9$#¨⎦ä⎠ó¡s97‰tnr'Ÿ2
z⎯ÏiΒÏ™!$|¡ÏiΨ9$#4ÈβÎ)¨⎦ä⎠ø‹s)¨?$#Ÿξsù

’Îû⎯ÏμÎ7ù=s%ÖÚttΒz⎯ù=è%uρZωöθs%

11. customary speech. $]ùρã÷è¨Β∩⊂⊄∪
33. And stay in your
houses, and do not display
yourselves (fineries of women
as) the displaying of
ignorance of the former
times. And establish the
prayers, and give the poor
due, and obey Allah and
His Messenger. Allah only
intends to remove from you
abomination, O people of the
household (of the Prophet),
and purify you, a thorough
purification.

34. And remember what
is recited in your
houses of the revelations
of Allah, and wisdom.
Indeed, Allah is Subtle,
Well Acquainted.

35. Indeed, men who
surrender (to Allah), and
women who surrender (to
Allah), and men who believe
and women who believe, and
men who obey and women
¨βÎ)š⎥⎫ÏϑÎ=ó¡ßϑø9$#ÏM≈yϑÎ=ó¡ßϑø9$#uρ
š⎥⎫ÏΖÏΒ÷σßϑø9$#uρÏM≈oΨÏΒ÷σßϑø9$#uρ
t⎦⎫ÏGÏΖ≈s)ø9$#uρÏM≈tFÏΖ≈s)ø9$#uρ

12. who obey, and men who
speak the truth and women
who speak the truth, and men
who are patient and women
who are patient, and men
who are humble and women
who are humble, and men
who give alms and women
who give alms, and men who
fast and women who fast, and
men who guard their
modesty and women who
guard (modesty), and men
who remember Allah much
and women who remember,
Allah has prepared for them
forgiveness and a great
reward.

36. And it is not for a
believing man, nor a
believing woman, when Allah
and His Messenger have
decreed a matter (for them),
that (thereafter) there should
be for them any option in
their matter. And whoever
disobeys Allah and His
Messenger, then certainly he
has strayed in error manifest.

13. 37. And when you said to him
(Zaid) upon whom Allah has
bestowed favor, and upon
whom you (O Muhammad)
have done favor: “Keep to
yourself your wife, and fear
Allah.” And you concealed in
your self that which Allah
was about to make manifest,
and you feared the people,
while Allah has more right
that you should fear Him. So
when Zaid had performed
the necessary formality (of
divorce) from her, We gave
her to you in marriage, so
that (henceforth) there may
be no difficulty upon
believers in respect of wives
of their adopted sons, when
they have performed the
necessary formality (of
release) from them. And the
command of Allah must be
fulfilled.

38. There is not any blame
for the Prophet in that which
Allah ordained for him. That
was Allah’s way with those

14. who passed away before. And
the command of Allah is pre-
ordained decree.

39. Those who convey the
message of Allah and fear
Him, and do not fear anyone
except Allah. And sufficient is
Allah as a Reckoner.

40. Muhammad is not the
father of any man among
you, but (he is) the Messenger
of Allah and the Seal of the
Prophets. And Allah is ever
Aware of all things.

remember Allah with much
remembrance.

42. And glorify Him morning
and evening.

43. He it is who sends
blessings upon you, and His
angels (ask Him to bless
you), that He may bring you
out from darkness into the

15. light. And He is ever Merciful
to the believers.

44. Their salutation the day
when they shall meet Him
will be, Peace. And He has
prepared for them a generous
reward.

45. O Prophet, indeed We
have sent you as a witness,
and a bearer of good tidings,
and a warner.

46. And as one who invites to
Allah by His permission,
and an illuminating lamp.

47. And announce good
tidings to the believers, that
they will have from Allah a
great bounty.

48. And do not obey the
disbelievers and the
hypocrites, and disregard
their persecution, and put
your trust in Allah. And
sufficient is Allah as Trustee.

49. O you who believe, when
you marry believing women
and then divorce them before
that you have touched them,

16. then for you there is no
waiting term upon them to
count regarding them. So
provide for them and send
them off, a graceful sending.

50. O Prophet, indeed We
have made lawful for you
your wives to whom you have
given their dowries, and those
whom your right hand
possesses of those whom
Allah has given as captives
of war to you. And the
daughters of your paternal
uncle, and the daughters of
your paternal aunts, and the
daughters of your maternal
uncle, and the daughters of
your maternal aunts who
emigrated with you, and a
believing woman if she give
herself to the Prophet, and if
the Prophet desires to
marry her, a privilege only
for you, not for the other
believers. We certainly know

17. what We have enjoined upon
them about their wives and
those whom their right hands
possess, that there should be
no difficulty upon you. And
Allah is ever Forgiving,
Merciful.

51. You (O Muhammad)
may put aside whom you will
of them, and take to yourself
whom you will. And
whomever you desire of
those whom you had set
aside (temporarily), so there
is no blame upon you. That is
more suitable, that it may be
cooling of their eyes, and
they may not grieve, and
they may be pleased with
what you have given them,
all of them. And Allah knows
what is in your hearts. And
Allah is Knower, Forbearing.

52. It is not lawful for
you (to marry other) women
after this, nor that you
change them for other wives
even though their beauty
attracts you, except those

Iωuρβr&tΑ£‰t7s?£⎯ÍκÍ5ô⎯ÏΒ8l≡uρø—r&öθs9uρ

18. (captives) whom your right
hand possesses. And Allah is
ever a Watcher over all
things.

Èe≅ä.&™ó©x«$Y7ŠÏ%§‘∩∈⊄∪
53. O you who believe,
do not enter the houses
of the Prophet except
that permission is given to
you for a meal, without
waiting for its preparation.
But when you are invited,
then enter, and when you
have eaten, then disperse.
And linger not for
conversation. Indeed, that
would cause annoyance to
the Prophet, and he is shy of
(asking) you (to go). And
Allah is not shy of the
truth. And when you ask
them (Prophet’s wives) of
anything, so ask them
from behind a curtain. That
is purer for your hearts
and their hearts. And it
is not (right) for you that
you cause harm to the
Messenger of Allah, nor that
you should marry his wives

19. after him, ever. Indeed,
that would be with Allah an
enormity.

54. Whether you reveal a
thing or conceal it, so indeed,
Allah is ever All Knower of
every thing.

55. There is no blame
upon them (your wives if
they appear) before their
fathers, nor their sons,
nor their brothers, nor
their brothers’ sons, nor
their sisters’ sons, nor
their own women, nor those
their right hands possess
(female slaves). And fear
Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever
Witness over all things.

56. Indeed, Allah and His
angels send blessings on
the Prophet. O you
who have believed, send
blessings upon him and
salute him with a worthy

57. Indeed, those who cause
harm to Allah and His
Messenger, Allah has cursed
them in the world and the
Hereafter, and He has
prepared for them a
humiliating punishment.

58. And those who cause
harm to believing men and
believing women for what
they have not earned
(deserved), then they have
certainly born on themselves
the burden of a slander and
a manifest sin.

59. O Prophet, say to your
wives and your daughters
and the women of the
believers to draw close round
them their outer garments.
That will be better so that
they may be recognized and
not be harmed. And Allah is
ever Forgiving, Merciful.

21. 60. If do not cease the
hypocrites and those in whose
hearts is a disease and those
who spread false news in the
city, We will surely incite you
against them, then they will
not be able to stay as your
neighbors in it except a little
while.

61. Accursed, wherever they
are found, they shall be
seized and slain mercilessly.

62. That was the way of
Allah with those who
passed away before. And you
will not find any change in
the way of Allah.

63. People ask you about the
Hour. Say: “The knowledge
of it is with Allah only.” And
what will make you
understand, it may be that
the Hour is near.

22. 64. Indeed, Allah has cursed
the disbelievers, and has
prepared for them a flaming
fire.

65. They will abide therein
forever. They will neither
find a protector, nor a helper.

66. The Day their faces will
be turned over in the Fire,
they will say: “Oh, would
that we had obeyed Allah and
had obeyed the Messenger.”

tβθä9θà)tƒ!$uΖoKø‹n=≈tƒ$oΨ÷èsÛr&©!$#

67. And they will say: “Our
Lord, indeed we obeyed our
chiefs and our great ones,
so they led us astray from
the (right) way.”

68. “Our Lord, give them
double of the punishment and
curse them with a great
curse.”

É>#x‹yèø9$#öΝåκ÷]yèø9$#uρ$YΖ÷ès9#ZÎ7x.∩∉∇∪
69. O you who believe, do
not be as those who caused
harm to Moses, then Allah
cleared him of what they
said. And he was honorable
in the sight of Allah.

23. 70. O you who believe, fear
Allah, and speak words
directed to the right.

(#θä9θè%uρZωöθs%#Y‰ƒÏ‰y™∩∠⊃∪
71. He will make righteous
for you your deeds, and He
will forgive you your sins.
And whoever obeys Allah
and His Messenger, then
certainly he has attained a
great achievement.

72. Indeed, We offered the
trust to the heavens and the
earth and the mountains, but
they declined to undertake it,
while being afraid thereof,
and man undertook it. Indeed
he was unjust, ignorant.
