Angelo State
1-0 last week.

Did not play last week.
Eastern New Mexico
The Eastern New Mexico women’s basketball team entered last week as one of four teams in the Lone Star
Conference without a loss. For the third time in as many games, ENMU handed an opponent its first LSC loss of
the season, as the Hounds and Angelo State remain the only teams with an unblemished conference record. The
team’s 4-0 start in league play is its best since the 1998-99 season. On Thursday, the Greyhounds led regionally-
ranked Texas A&M-Commerce for most of the game, on the way to a 75-64 victory. On Saturday, Eastern posted
its second biggest come-from-behind win of the season, and overcame a nine-point deficit to upend Tarleton
State. The win over the TexAnns was Eastern’s first since the 2006-07 finale and ended a 19-game skid in the
series. Defense keyed both wins, as the Hounds limited the opposition to just 66 points over the two games,
with a .306 shooting percentage and a .200 conversion rate from three-point range. Kassandra Harris, Amari
Dennis, and Johna McLelland all averaged in double figures in a balanced offensive attack. Mikaehla Connor
averaged 9.5 points and blocked five shots over the two games. This week, ENMU will play Northwest Nazarene
and Western Washington.
Midwestern State
0-1 last week.
Tarleton State
Tarleton dropped two of three last week, earning a win on the road at Western New Mexico. The TexAnns
will host Northern New Mexico Monday for an exhibition at 5:30 p.m. before taking off the rest of the 2016
calendar year.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions suffered their first conference loss of the season against Eastern New Mexico before rebounding and
getting a win against Western New Mexico. The Lions set a program record for both free throws made and free
throws attempted against ENMU. They shot 35-of-44 from the line in the game. The Lions held their opponents
to 30 percent shooting from the field. They allowed a season-low 47 points against WNMU, including just two
points in the first quarter. That was a program record for least points allowed in a quarter since the format
change in 2015. Five Lions are averaging at least 10 points per game in conference action. A&M-Commerce
is third in the LSC in scoring and lead the conference in free throw attempts, shooting 61 more than the next
closest team. They are second in the conference in free throw percentage and are first in offensive rebounding
and overall rebounding. The Lions continue their six-game road trip on Saturday against Henderson State. They
will then face UT-Arlington in an exhibition game on Sunday. The Lions return to conference action on Jan. 5
against Texas A&M-Kingsville.”
Texas A&M-Kingsville
Texas A&M-Kingsville closed out non-conference play 5-1 (6-2, 1-1 LSC overall) with wins over Texas A&M
International and #RV/19 St. Mary’s... the Hogs handed the Rattlers both of their losses and resume LSC play
Saturday at Cameron... the team shot 54.8 percent from three-point range in the two wins.
