1. Making our film trailer:
Firstly, we filmedallof our clips usinga videocamera
and then put them ontoa computer inorder to put
them intoAdobe Premiere whichis the tecnologywe
usedto edit the whole filmtrailer .
We then choose betweenthe clips, and pickedout the
best ones that we thought would lookprofessional and
realistic in our trailer, we didthisbypressingâget mediaâ and choosing our files.
Our files wouldthenappear inthe organize section
on the side inpremiere, whichwe couldthendrag
into the sceneline/timeline in the correct sequence
that we wantedthem in.
We then used the text tool âTâ whichappears right at the bottom
of the bigscreen. We theneditedthe text onthe side which gives
you options to change the font and colour andsize. Whichwe did
to suit thispage as we triedto make this look like a realbeginning
of the preview screen.
2. Then, once we had addedinall of the clips, andmade
all the oneswe neededtomake,we usedthe âeditâtool
and clickedâtransitionsâandusedthe âdiptoblackâ
throughoutthe whole trailer,aswe hadgot inspiration
to do thisfromothertrailersthatwe hadlookedatin
our research.
We alsodippedtoblack
afterand before every
intertitle inorderto
make it fade inand
lookrealisticlike a
trailer.
For our intertitles we used
the text tool againand
changedthe font to âBook
antiguaâ and size 110 for allto
make themmore effective as
intertitles.
3. When makingthe last fewintertitles (actors names andthe film name) we again used the text tool but usedthe font
âorator stdâ to link it to the magazine andposter.
Next we put soundandthe
soundtrackontoour filmtrailer
to do this we pressedâget
mediaâ andimported inthe
song we hadchosen to use we
stretched this along the whole
trailer sothat it would play
throughout. We wantedthe
music to fade in at the start
just after the verystart of the
trailer and alsofade out at the
end, to do thiswe used the
tools onthe far left handside ofthe screenon premiere. We clickedthe point at which we wanted it to fade and addeda
keyframe twice in order to make it fade. We then repeated thisat the end.
We then needed the
soundto slightlylower
during the part where
dialogue is involved, so
to do this we againused
a keyframe to lower the
soundandthenmake
the soundrise back to normalafter the dialogue has ended.
Lastlywe exportedit to the computer we were usingandthen we were able to uploadto YouTube
for public viewing and to add to our blog.
