The genre of all of the three trailers (Oblivion, Iron man 3 and After Earth) is action adventure, we
can see this from the trailers as quite a lot of weapons and fast paced violence is shown. The music
in all three of the trailers is loud and builds up to increase the tension to a climax showing they have
the same main genre.
In the three trailers the representation of the male and female characters are similar in the way that
all the males are quite dominant and over powering compared to the women and they also use
violence to succeed. The women in the trailers are companions or assistants of the men and none of
them really occupy a main role.
The special effects are the main attractions of three of these films and these special effects conform
to the genre of action adventure as many things that would otherwise not be able to be seen are
used to make it more captivating for the audience.
