2. These are the apps, and software we used in during and in post-production to create our products and to supply our journals footage of
what we were doing in post-production. Firstly, when creating the poster and magazine cover we mainly used Photoshop and Illustrator to
edit and put together the products, however when creating fonts we used software such as Flaming text and Cool text.
3. In post-production,we used FinalCut to create our
trailer. We used the Blade tool to cut up our
footage and put it together to create our montage
editing. We used QuickTime to record the screen
when we were typing out a message which we
wanted the audience to see as we would. This was
a very rewarding experiment as it was new
software to me and I felt it was very effective.
Personally, the most challengingpart of using this
media was using garage band to create the style of
music that would be used in same genre as ours.
This was difficult because that genre of music has
so many layersand are typicallyproduced by
professionalsand I think it was a lot harder than
producing a soundtrack for a thriller genre like I
did last year.
4. During post production,we went
through the process of editing
the trailer together which took a
lot of time to agree on how we
should do it and cutting all the
shots down. We had to edit in
the filters, text/ graphics, effects,
and transitionsto create the
montage effect we wanted. I
used quick time to do a screen
recording of the party invite
going out, this took a few
attemptsbefore we got it right
and then added it into the trailer.
We then had to create the
soundtrack and time it with the
trailer which was very difficult
considering none of us have
created party music since we had
all done thrillers before. Once we
had the music sorted out we
brought it into final cut where
we put it alongside the trailer.
