What is ABC1?
ABC1 is a social class grading system. It is a way of categorizing people
into sections based upon their class.

2AM and ABC1
2AM fits into the categories of C2,D and E. I believe that this is because the
audience the film will appeal to will be working class citizens. The plot of
the film is not hard to follow and is easy to understand. 2AM will not be
engaging enough to interest the higher end of the ABC table.
4. AGE
2AM and Age
2AM fits into the age category of teenagers and young adults. They are
often busy, therefore a short film fits into their hectic schedules as they are
not time consuming to view. The audience may also be able to empathize
with the young man who is walking home alone as they may often have to
do the same thing and feel unsafe. This allows them to empathize with the
character and feel the tension even more.
5. 2AM will appeal to both a male and female audience. It does’t specifically target a set gender audience.
However, all of the characters in the film are male, this may mean that a male would empathize better with
the character. I believe that the target audiences will enjoy horror films and enjoy being scared and feeling
tension. This film may also appeal to people who don’t have a lot of spare time but enjoy watching horror
films, due to its short running time.
