Starring actors
Mise en Scene
The main image on this poster is the main character
and starring actor; Hailee Steinfeld.
Her poster and head tilted up to the sky gives the
audience an idea of her personality, and how she is fed
up and not happy.
Editing and Camerawork
The main focus of this poster is the main character and the title.
The background of the poster has been blurred making the
foreground standout more. The title is a bold font, which will
capture the audiences eye. The. Image is a long shot as we can see
the characters entire body, the photo is taken outside which
combined with the expression on her face Dan her posture could
show us how she is lost metaphorically.
In our poster we will also include the main characters
of the film and make them the main focus. We also
want out title to be bold and stand out. The idea of
having a tag line we think will also be useful so that
the audience can get a better idea of what is in the
film before watching a trailer.
The tag line can help identify
the age of this film as is it
focused on ‘being young’ and
the character is 17. The genre is
also made clear by the poster
due to the bright colours and
the teenager on the front.
Although not obvious the
narrative of this film can be
seen through the use of only
having one character in the
poster, suggesting that the film
is from her point of view.
The audience are attracting an
audience with the plaster by
making the main character the
focus as she is the most well
known actor in the cast, besides
the school teacher. Hailee
recently starred in Pitch Perfect
2 which is also a teen film where
many teens will know her from
so will likely want to watch film
film because of it.
