1. This first scene introduces the name of the
company that created the film. Castle rock
entertainment has presented other films such
as flipped, the polar express and friends with
benefits. These films are popular which
means that people may have high
expectations of the film and its quality.
The name is shown in all capitals which
creates a bold front. It is big and in the middle
of the screen which gives a dramatic feel
however, the black background gives an eerie
feel to it but it gets you ready for the up and
coming titles as it is clear with structure.

2. Tim Robbins plays the main character of the
film, he is known for being an actor and
director and is popular for being in this film.
His name is shown in the same way as the
first title screen and it comes after the
previous as it says ‘presents’ before which
shows that castle rock entertainment is
presenting the important actors and relevant
introductions before the film starts.
The black background and capitalised white
font is the same and so is the dramatic way
it is shown , right in the middle of the scene.

3. This next scene is again, showing the name
of a very famous and well known actor. An
audience would get their hopes up and rise
their expectations of the film when they see
that Morgan freeman is going to be in it as
he has appeared in many other popular films
such as Bruce almighty, dark night, Lucy, the
Lego movie and feast of love. As well as
appearing in TV shows.
The scene is presented in the clear structure
again which creates a sense of rhythm and
purity interlinked with the other scenes
potentially.

4. This next title scene introduces the name
of the movie. This automatically grabs the
audiences attention as it is what they
know they are wanting to watch, its sets
you up to watch the rest of the film and
gets you more interested in it, especially
as they have introduced well known actors
before introducing the film name.
The font is white and all in capitals making
it clear and in front, showing the
importance of this title and film.

5. This title of Bob Gunton is introduced next. He Is
an actor in the film. The fact his name is shown
shows that he has some importance in the film
but other factors such as the fact it is introduced
after the other actors and the name of the film
suggest that he does not hold a well known front.
His name is shown in all capitals within the same
font type and colour but it is smaller and shown
at a lower level of the scene.
This title actually appears on a clip from the film,
which means that the film has already started
slowly but is still introducing titles,

6. The name William Sadler is shown in this next
scene, he is s well known actor and he appears in
other films such as iron man 3, Die hard 2 and the
mist.
Its similar to the last scene with the font size and
colour and a similar placement.
Again this title is above a scene in the film, the
scene is low key and slow which means you can
easily read and recognise the title name.

7. The next scene is again a scene starting off the film with the
low key lighting, the name of the actor ‘Clancy brown’ is
shown in capital letters and a white font placed in the
bottom left of the screen towards the middle. The name of
these actors being shown shows that they hold relevance in
the film butt they may not have a big part or they aren’t as
known.
Clancy brown is known for being an American actor in tv
shows and films such as being a voice in SpongeBob,
Spiderman and the animated series superman and
appearing in star ship troopers and highlander.

8. The next scene is the actors name Gil Bellows,
similar to the other scenes, the name is
shown on the long running starting scene of
the film which you can tell because all the
scenes link with each other and so does the
order of the actors that are being presented.
This title scene is low key and shows a gun
which creates mystery as it stands out among
the other title scenes.
Gil bellows appears in many other TV shows
and films such as unthinkable, the calling and
the weather man.

9. This is the last screen in the opening
sequence that introduces a title. It is
shown on a scene which links from the
others but its got more colour and
depth to it compared to the others.
The font colour, size and placement is
the same as the other scenes of a
similar background.
Mark Rolston is the name of the actor
that has been introduced. He appears in
other films such as Hard rain, Saw and
rush hour.
