1. Analyze learners: My classroom is a group of 19 second graders: Nine boys and Ten
girls. Three children are African American, and two children are Latino.
State Objectives: My students will recognize and describe different types of wildlife
found in Africa. They will point out and name different countries and tell me about what
animals live in this region. This lesson will last an hour and students will have 100%
success rate.
Select Methods, Media, and Material: The methods I chose for this day are a QR,
Poster and a Storytelling video.
Utilize Media and Materials: With my poster, I will be able to lecture about different
facts about animals that live in Africa. I will also be able to talk about what Africa is
like. My storytelling video is a quick safari trip talking about three different animals I
chose for them to learn. My QR will be used to link the class to a WWF website. That
site is for them to investigate and explore.
Require Learner Participation: With my poster, I will first of all be showing the class
what I would like their poster projects to look like. They can ask me any questions about
how to make it throughout the week. This will also be hanging in the room so they can
always refer to it.
Evaluate: I will evaluate Tuesday’s lesson by asking questions and discussion. I will
encourage a lot of questions and comments about each technology I used.
