Africa is the second largest continent and contains diverse climates ranging from desert in the north to jungle and rainforest in the south. It is home to the largest land animal, the elephant, which can weigh up to 3.5 tons, as well as the largest bird, the ostrich, reaching 9 feet tall and 320 pounds. Africa is also home to big cats like lions, the second largest living cat, and critically endangered mountain gorillas, the largest living primates.

• They are the largest birds on Earth! Up to 320lbs and 9ft tall!
• Feed on grasses and small insects, even lizards!
• They sound like a lion!
