2. Analyze Learners
• The students I will be teaching are in the 10th grade. They are all part of
the mainstream class system. There are 12 boys and 11 girls in my class
room. The class varies in ethnic background; the majority of the students are
Caucasian and the minority is African American.
• Many students may have some prior some prior knowledge of the
Revolutionary War, so upon their arrival I will ask them small questions to
see how much knowledge they have.
3. Main Objective
• My students will be able to outline the events of the Revolutionary War with
an 80% accuracy at the end of the week.
4. Monday
• My 10th grade students will explore what their roles would be during the
Revolutionary War. They will do so by completing a Webquest. The student
will complete the Webquest with a 90% accuracy.
5. Tuesday
• My tenth grade students will be able to describe the different types of taxes
placed on the American colonist. The will be able to explain the outcomes of
each tax after looking at posters and watching a YouTube video. The
students will be given an oral quiz prior to leaving the classroom, they will be
able to do so with an 80% accuracy.
6. Wednesday and Thursday
• My 10th grade students will be discussing the major battles of the war. They
will gain knowledge on two major wars by watching a video and listening to a
podcast. They will learn about other wars by completing a webquest. They
will be complete the webquest with an 80% accuracy.
7. Friday
• My 10th grade students will be observing the making of the Declaration of
Independence. They will do so by watching two videos I have provided for
the class. The students will be able to describe the importance of the
document in a reflection at the end of class with a 80% accuracy.
